Background: Chaeri was an unbelievably quiet child growing up, even more so in her family as even her younger siblings and cousins were often much louder. She doesn't like unnecessary attention such as in family gatherings when her relatives often praise her for her studies or looks. Ever since she was little, her parents took her to watch musicals and she would always admire how well the actors sung. Once she is alone, she will switch on some good music and sing along to it though quietly as she knows her siblings will forever tease her if they ever it. She first heard of Bighit entertainment when one of her friends from school overheard her singing and immediately recommended her a few entertainments to audition at. She agreed after weeks of persuasion from her friend and chose a small entertainment as she was unsure of her looks and voice and was scared to audition at the bigger entertainments.

+Before; Although Chaeri was already close with BTS, she still was shy around them. The two groups often did things together (without being caught by reporters and netizens) and that could also mean hanging out at each others' dorms or practicing with each other. Chaeri was one of the most quietest ones thus she excluded herself from activities and was fine watching her friends have fun. Often, the quiet ones from BTS like Seokjin and Yoongi would also sit with her and watch the others while making small talk.
