Personality // Cha is a very dramatic and energetic person. He has always wanted to be an actor and for some reason he is abnormally good at making believe. He loves acting out scenes from K-dramas and enjoys watching them. He's acts very dramatic about the tiniest situations. For example, If someone forgets to order a pizza for dinner and everyone's starving he'll be like, "NOOOOOOOO, MY S-STOMACH... IT CAN'T LAST THIS LONG WITHOUT FOOD OR IT WILL SHUT DOWN AND I'LL DIE A YOUNG DEATH. SOMEONE SAVE ME!!!!!!" and then he'll be like "YAY PIZZA!!" the next minute. He’s also a huge fanboy and that combined with his dramaticness is a nightmare for Shadow. They can hear him squeal over sunbae groups from five miles away, literally. But, even  though everyone seems to hate when Cha becomes dramatic, they get a good laugh out of his antics. Cha also love love love loves food. He’ll wake up if he smells food, he’ll get off the couch if someone mentions food, and he goes crazy over take out food. He’s also always taking ugly pics of the other members for fun. You’ll literally never know when he’s coming. That’s why the others are so cautious of the boy, he’s like a little pet that they have to look over and punish. Cha is also very social and loves talking to his fans. He’s the one who always logs into chat rooms and talks to the fans late at night telling them to eat well and stay healthy. Lastly Cha is utterly perverted. He laughs at anything that sounds perverted and sometimes makes sexual jokes. His favorite phrase is “that’s what she/he said.” and he says it very often. He secretly ships members together and sometimes has thoughts about members getting sexual together.

Background // Cha grew up in the outskirts of Cheongju where not many people lived. In middle school, Cha took chorus classes to become a singer, he also danced as a hobby and whenever his parents had Music Bank on the TV he would try to follow the dances. He thought that if he became a singer, he could make people happy by them enjoying his songs. He was passionate in music and his parents could tell. They wanted Cha to go to a place where he could study music and other subjects all he wanted to get better and professional help, but still learn the main educational subjects at the same time. After middle school ended, Cha and his family moved away to the city of Seoul  where there were many performing arts academies for Cha to join. They placed him in one nearest to their apartment and Cha attended a performing arts high school where he would major in vocal and dance. He excelled in all his performing arts classes including acting, dancing, singing, and rapping. After his school year came to an end, Cha went to go audition to be a trainee and as expected he became an official trainee, with his family's support all the way. It was a dream come true.
