May Stream/Gaming Update

I haven't made an update paste in awhile, so here's one!

First, DKC2 any% has been going pretty well. I got a new PB of 43:15 last week, and even that had a lot of slop and time lost. 2 deaths, missed Vine Clip, early hit in Toxic forced that stage to be slow, and bad PCP/Screech's. My sum of best is down to 42:10, and considering that my gold W6 came in this PB, there's at least 10 more seconds to save in Toxic. Theoretically I'm good enough for a 41 if the run went perfectly. While my ideal goal for this category would be to get a low 42 (and cut Nocturne and Eazinn's times), I'll be content to let it sit for awhile once I get any 42 at all. I can't imagine that will be too far away.

Once I finish DKC2 any%, I'm going to move on to DKC any%-all and DKC3 any%. Not sure which I'll do first, but the way I'll approach them is by filling in the IL charts on the wiki. I know enough about those games to get through them in fairly decent times, but i by no means know optimal movement through each level. That's what the goal of taking them stage-by-stage with the IL tables will be - using the wiki videos and trying to figure out how I'm actually supposed to roll and jump. This will help me improve those games significantly.

Otherwise, I'm enjoying my Zelda 1 playthrough so much that it's put me into quite the Zelda mood. I got the Oracle games on 3DS VC and have absolutely loved them. I finished seasons and am about halfway through Ages now - I can't believe I never played these before! I'm very excited to catch up on the other Zelda games I've missed over the years: Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, and Zelda 2.  I was really starting to enjoy Bravely Default as well, but got pretty sidetracked with this Zelda thing.  Once I finish Ages, I'll get back to that.

Zelda 2 will be streamed as another blind playthrough. I'm also going to consider Metroid 1 and Banjo-Tooie as my next blind playthroughs after that. I haven't given up on the Mega Man games, and expect that by the end of the year I will start working on those more seriously as well.
