  1. >What is this thread?
  2.
  3. Since Hololive, Nijisanji, and western vtuber threads have a tendency to push any thread about smaller japanese vtubers off the board, this thread exists as place to post those smaller japanese vtubers(and sometimes even discuss them).
  4.
  5.

  9. >Can I post [vtuber] here?
  10.
  11. Are they japanese? Do they primarily stream in japanese?
  12. If you can't answer yes to atleast one of those questions then please do not post them in this thread. For your sake and ours.

  18. >What counts as a small company vtuber?
  19.
  20. Any japanese vtuber that isn't part of Hololive or Nijisanji.
  21.

  26. >How do I find Japanese Vtubers?
  27.
  28. Search for "Vtuber" plus a japanese search term and filter by "live". Here's some example terms for you to try!
  29. 耐久 (Endurance)
  30. 歌枠 (Utawaku, aka Karaoke)
  31. お絵描き (Drawing)
  32. 雑談 (Zatsudan)
  33. 料理 (Cooking)
  34. 英語のお勉強 (Studying English)
  35. マイクラ (Minecraft)
  36.
  37. You can also try the following terms
  38. 新人Vtuber (New Vtuber)
  39. 個人Vtuber (Independent Vtuber)
  40. JPVtuber (Make sure youtube doesn't correct you to JP Vtuber or you'll get a lot of polluted results)
  41.
  42. If you want a general list of up-and-coming newbies(albeit with ENtubers mixed in), you can use this site
  43. https://virtual-youtuber.userlocal.jp/document/ranking/beginner?order=fav_cnt_diff

  49. >I'm absolutely terrified that this Vtuber I found could be a man!
  50.
  51. Japanese babinikus are usually pretty good about listing the fact in their bio or stream description, so look for バ美肉 if you're not sure.

  57. >There are companies aside from Nijisanji and Hololive?
  58.
  59. Yes there are! Here's a list of some of the notable ones!
  60.
  61. 774 (https://www.774.ai/member)
  62. The biggest little company, ranked 3rd after Hololive and Nijisanji. Consists of Animare(animal girls), HoneyStrap/SugarLyric(demonic shop girls), and VApArt(...apartment girls). Has a dedicated thread on /jp/
  63.
  64. .Live (https://vrlive.party/member/)
  65. If you've heard about Sio and ever wondered about her backstory before the 5ch posts, this is the company she pretty much destroyed. She quit whilst making a lot of heavy accusations about management, and at the time everyone believed her. They never really recovered.
  66.
  67. Re:Act (https://www.v-react.com/#artist)
  68. Formerly known as Kagayaki Stars. Was a black company that literally graduated a girl midstream. Supposedly better now(Hopefully for Yukino's sake)
  69.
  70. Axel-V (https://www.axel-v.com/member/)
  71. Company that made a big splash with their initial advertisement push but has kind of petered out. Their girl Kokuri uses Lingodeer instead of Duolingo.
  72.
  73. Virtual eSports Project (https://vspo.jp/member/)
  74. Started back during the PUBG boom as girls playing PUBG, gradually shifted to girls playing apex, now just girls doing whatever(but still a lot of apex)
  75.
  76. Noripro (https://noripro.jp/)
  77. Agency where all the members share the same artist(Norio), divided into the Idol Group and the Variety Group with the differences being those in the Idol Group doesn't interact with men and doesn't use crude jokes.
  78.
  79. ProproProduction (https://www.propro-production.com/)
  80. Proof that it's possible to cuck an entire country, got big off taiwanese fans and then sent their biggest talent to bilibili.
  81.
  82. Vivid (https://vividnia.com/creator/)
  83. Bigger on bilibili than youtube. Notable for having a member that speaks completely fluent english, but despite this the company doesn't give a shit about pandering to EOPs.
  84.
  85. Zero Project (https://0project.jp/#creater)
  86. I don't know anything about them but their girl Rei advertises her streams as welcoming EOPs, so she pops up in a lot of people's recommendations. Apparently has an english speaker too?
  87.
  88. Voice-Ore (https://www.voice-ore.com/)
  89. Small agency that can't quite figure out how to run itself. Adopted by the /vt/ Uto threads because Nabi(Uto's artist) drew two of their three girls.
  90.
  91. VOMs (https://voms.net/)
  92. Pikamee and her sidekick, almost always has their own dedicated thread on /vt/
  93.
  94. WACTOR (http://wactor.tech/)
  95. The first company to capitalize on the lucrative Spanish market. Most of their talents make tens of dollars per stream! Sometimes has a dedicated thread on /vt/ for some reason.
  96.
  97. "Brave Group"
  98. Formerly Unlimited, A company so black it should be operated out of africa. Literally fired chuubas and replaced their VAs.
  99.
  100.
  101.
  102.
  103.
  104. >I don't actually speak japanese but I absolutely MUST add my worthless opinions in chat
  105.
  106. Good news! There's a few japanese indies that speak some degree of english and don't mind EOPs. Here's some that get regularly posted!
  107.
  108. Shirahari Uni (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDl5qfjqZR5MLN1pogAgBog)
  109. Studied in Canada and speaks fluent english. Yes, she does have the same artist as Fubuki.
  110.
  111. Asahi Nina (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2JWNoJJ8MRZkgINm2IhH7Q)
  112. Speaks fairly fluent english and even often replies to EOPs in her chat, but 70% of her streams are mahjong so english viewers get filtered.
  113.
  114. Tadano Rei (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCN84kddLj2J6OTgKl6Kkt7Q)
  115. Speaks heavily accented english. Streams a lot of Ringfit.
  116.
  117. Ayamy (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr9p1ZjLKgfaoqNorY7PiWQ)
  118. Heavily accented english GFEtuber. Regular Art and Cooking Streams
  119.
  120. Uehasu (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKfsU01apduhgvayLIYHdHw)
  121. Speaks some english and tries to mtl what she can't. Does semi-regular streams looking at the product listings for japanese convenience stores.
  122.
  123. Ichimaru Ichi (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTjLjqXYI1xzT5J3i-4TtYw)
  124. Speaks some english. Does Morning streams, which happen to line up with EOPs getting out of work, so they make up almost all of her fanbase.
  125.
  126. There's a few other that slipped my mind, and there're also japanese vtubers that don't really speak english but still welcome EOPs like Komugi or ZonBko. Maybe someone will update this into an exhaustive list eventually(probably not).
  127.
  128.
  129.
  130.
  131.
  132. >I posted a link but my indie waifu only got a couple extra viewers!
  133.
  134. Try adding a picture(like her thumbnail) when you shill her. It also helps to explain a little bit about her or what she's streaming, and since half this board is EOPs you should probably mention if she explicitly welcomes them or not. Yes, people could find all of this by simply clicking the link, but people are lazy.

  140. >This thread is dead as hell
  141.
  142. It's comfy. Feel free to give it a bump during dead hours though(1:00 to 8:00(JST) and 12:00 to 16:00(JST))
