  17. https://youtu.be/rBhZkztjIA4
  18.
  19. We begin!
  20.
  21. Our heroes successfully treatied with the tribals and have descended to the depths of the abandoned military base!
  22.
  23. Suule: (( Haha, I bought that game on Launch. The English translation fucking sucks ))
  24.
  25. Their mission: Get a missile and stop the avians. Their mission: Get a missile and stop you!
  26.
  27. you enter the base, the door closes behind you. The place is wall to wall concrete and there are colored lines on the floor.
  28.
  29. you notice a desk and some chairs lying about.
  30.
  31. Valerie P. Awsum rubs her arms anxiously "So... what exactly are we searching for here?"
  32.
  33. Clayton R. feels himself returning back to reality. He's feels as if he's blacked out for a while. Checking over himself, he finds his blaster missing. Clayton frowns, hoing in on the former topsider hanging with his team. "You." He says, pointing to her, "I want my gun back, now."
  34.
  35. Jonathan Sommer scratches the back of his head and examines the desk.
  36.
  37. Valerie P. Awsum pulls it out of her belt's pocket and tosses it back at Clayton "Maybe next time you should use it instead of snoring on the floor. I've saved you guy."
  38.
  39. Martin Baron: ( How many sessions have I been drunk? Gonna consider losing it once we go into a rest or travel period. )
  40.
  41. GM (GM): The desk appears to be locked!
  42.
  43. Jonathan Sommer: ((2 or 3))
  44.
  45. Clayton R. snatches it back, "That'll be the first for a topsider."
  46.
  47. Cas Hutson: ((Yeah, two or three I think))
  48.
  49. Earrtet Acroud : Earret Acrowd jokingly says "These coulored lines remind me of those tour atraction that amusements part had, maybe those birds just want a coin operated rocket ride."
  50.
  51. Jonathan Sommer shouts to Clayton, "From a wannabe to the real thing, huh?"
  52.
  53. Martin Baron: "Shhould we... shplit up?"
  54.
  55. Jonathan Sommer looks into the lock for anything extra.
  56.
  57. Clayton R. ignores Sommer. "Looks more like subway lines... or perhaps guidelines for missiles like in old silos."
  58.
  59. GM (GM): Nope standard mechanical lock
  60.
  61. Jonathan Sommer: ((Rolling lockpick))
  62.
  63. GM (GM): difficulty 90
  64.
  65. Jonathan Sommer: ((Agi or Mind?))
  66.
  67. GM (GM): agi
  68.
  69. Jonathan Sommer: rolling 1d100+35+20+10
  70. (14)+35+20+10= 79
  71.
  72. Valerie P. Awsum cringes at Jon's comment as she looks back at Clayton wondering what the hell he meant. Nothing good she thinks... she instead starts looking around for some kind of a powerbox.
  73.
  74. Jonathan Sommer: "... Shit."
  75.
  76. GM (GM): Despite your skill you fumble the tumble
  77.
  78. Cas Hutson goes on ahead to check over where the neon green line heads on over to, his ears perking up a bit.
  79.
  80. Jonathan Sommer: ((Do I get a retry or do I need another mean?))
  81.
  82. Cas Hutson: (I'll try inspecting over where the green line heads on over to.))
  83.
  84. Clayton R. tucks the blaster away on his person and he searches the area.
  85.
  86. GM (GM): (( Sure, retry.))
  87.
  88. Clayton R.: rolling 1d100+55
  89. (84)+55= 139
  90.
  91. Jonathan Sommer: rolling 1d100+35+20+10
  92. (11)+35+20+10= 76
  93. ((Ugh))
  94.
  95. Martin Baron decides to follow the red line while the others inspect this room. Already he's forgotten what it was they were searching for.
  96.
  97. Earrtet Acroud : Jonathan mind if i give it a try?
  98.
  99. Valerie P. Awsum walks up to the desk "I wish I still had a zero field. That would've been easy with it."
  100.
  101. Jonathan Sommer steps back and pouts silently.
  102.
  103. GM (GM): Cas, above the door you read 'barracks communcations'
  104.
  105. Martin Baron: ( There's always the second option. Breaking the desk open. )
  106.
  107. GM (GM): Clayton!
  108.
  109. Earrtet Acroud : may i roll for lockpicking?
  110.
  111. GM (GM): This place is stark.
  112. Likely everyone has been through here over the years.
  113.
  114. Cas Hutson: ((Could break the desk by pile driving someone on that.))
  115.
  116. Earrtet Acroud : rolling 1d100 + 45
  117. (26)+45= 71
  118.
  119. GM (GM): You do find alot of scratches and afew feathers on the ground but you can't determin where they go
  120. (( Sure cas!))
  121.
  122. Jonathan Sommer: "... Hornet Head Junior, mind if I see your laser gun or whatever?"
  123.
  124. Clayton R. casts the rat a sideways glance. "Your suit doesn't even work? Some Topsider." He says, disappointed with his observation of the area, "I'll handle it Sommer. What's the problem?"
  125.
  126. GM (GM): Martin! Reading the sign above the door you read 'situation room'
  127.
  128. Jonathan Sommer puts his finger on the lock. "Shoot riiiiiiiiiight here."
  129.
  130. Cas Hutson: ((Then again, that's just a mere suggestion. Anyways, I'll try rolling for inspecting the door. See how strong it is y'know?))
  131.
  132. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Clay "What does that mean? If it worked I wouldn't have been turned into a possum... candidate for reconstructive surgery."
  133.
  134. Martin Baron: ( I'll enter the situation room. Sounds like an arsenal storing room or something. )
  135.
  136. Clayton R. glares at the raccoon. "You realize this doesn't quite have a shoot lightly right? This will blow a hole clean through the wall behind the door."
  137.
  138. GM (GM): The large metal door doesn't appear to open when you walk into it.
  139.
  140. Clayton R. wonders if Val's comment was even an insult
  141.
  142. Jonathan Sommer: "Angle it to the floor, then. Not my problem if they have to bring in an interior decorator."
  143.
  144. Valerie P. Awsum walks up to the hare, she doesn't want to be near a Mary, makes her feel very uneasy
  145.
  146. Martin Baron: ( Hm. Is it an electronic lock? )
  147.
  148. Jonathan Sommer continues licking the solid beer from earlier.
  149.
  150. Martin Baron: ( Actually wait, let me just perception roll. )
  151. rolling 1d100+15
  152. (67)+15= 82
  153.
  154. Cas Hutson does a quick check on the door over how sturdy it is, if there's a way to unlock it, such and such over opening it.
  155.
  156. Cas Hutson: rolling 1d100
  157. (17)= 17
  158.
  159. GM (GM): There doesn't seem to be a keypad or any kind of interface. Must be a switch or something around here.
  160. There is a handle
  161.
  162. Martin Baron can see a possum-like blur go closer to him. Giving her the best stink eye he can muster, he ignores her and moves to the handle to see what it does.
  163.
  164. GM (GM): Nothing!
  165.
  166. Martin Baron: ( Can I perception roll the lever? Maybe it's busted. )
  167.
  168. GM (GM): Sure!
  169.
  170. Valerie P. Awsum looks up "Situation room.. That name doesn't bring the best memories."
  171.
  172. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+15
  173. (3)+15= 18
  174.
  175. Clayton R. sighs, "How about we try things on stun first?" He switches his blaster to stun, and aims it point blank to the lock. With any luck, it might fry something inside.
  176.
  177. Martin Baron: ( It looks like a lever )
  178. ( Yep, it is. )
  179.
  180. GM (GM): In you drunken has you notice some writing on the handle, "Reception must authorize"
  181.
  182. Earrtet Acroud : (or one of those stong tape coat hangers)
  183.
  184. Martin Baron: ( And I'm guessing that's the desk Clayton and Jon are looking into. )
  185.
  186. GM (GM): (And shooting)
  187.
  188. Jonathan Sommer: ((We do things the hard-boiled way))
  189.
  190. Clayton R.: (( Clayton is shooting a lock right now with the blaster on stun. ))
  191.
  192. Martin Baron: ( I'll help if that doesn't work. )
  193.
  194. GM (GM): Nothing seems to happen as you bathe the desk in electrons.
  195.
  196. Jonathan Sommer: "Wow, impressive."
  197.
  198. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Martin "You've found something?"
  199.
  200. Martin Baron shambles over to the desk the burnt man and raccoon are looking into, intending on assisting.
  201.
  202. GM (GM): ...Nobody has actually ever tried stunning an inanimate object.
  203.
  204. Martin Baron: ( It's a good try. )
  205.
  206. Clayton R. shrugs. "That's about the best you are going to get without me vaporizing the desk."
  207.
  208. Jonathan Sommer sighs and pulls out his special revolver.
  209.
  210. Clayton R. holds up his hands "Wait you idiot!"
  211.
  212. Clayton R.: "Bullet's will ricochet like crazy if you shoot a lock!"
  213.
  214. Jonathan Sommer: "I've seen my fair share of movies. I know what I'm doin'."
  215.
  216. GM (GM): Pop the lock?
  217.
  218. Clayton R. puts on his RIOT helmet and backs away
  219.
  220. Jonathan Sommer closes one eye as he aims precariously at the lock.
  221.
  222. Martin Baron considers Clayton's words and backs up like he has.
  223.
  224. GM (GM): Roll damage!
  225.
  226. Jonathan Sommer: rolling 4d10+40
  227. (5+10+7+7)+40= 69
  228.
  229. GM (GM): You fire off a shot, sparks fly and metal is punched.
  230. Unfortunately despite the damage it still holds (31 hp left.)
  231.
  232. Jonathan Sommer: ((One case left... Anyone want to whack it?))
  233.
  234. Martin Baron: ( Sure. )
  235.
  236. Valerie P. Awsum yelps hearing the shot and looks back "What the hell?"
  237.
  238. Martin Baron: ( How much damage does a wooden pipe do? )
  239.
  240. Cas Hutson peeks his attention at Jonathan, frowning as how stupid of an idea he did over shooting a lock. A lock for gods sake. Shaking his head, he stays back at where he's at at this moment.
  241.
  242. GM (GM): 1d10+15
  243.
  244. Martin Baron: ( Ah nevermind, I think a the hook would work better. )
  245.
  246. GM (GM): (Who makes a wooden pipe?))
  247.
  248. Jonathan Sommer: ((Carpenters?))
  249.
  250. GM (GM): ((Wait, you mean a smoke pipe. right.))
  251.
  252. Martin Baron helps Jonathan finish the job and proceeds to give it a good slash with the hook he has.
  253.
  254. Martin Baron: ( Oh crap, that's a smoking pipe? )
  255. ( Oh. )
  256.
  257. GM (GM): ((Suddenly thinking of wood based plumbing.))
  258.
  259. Martin Baron: ( I thought it was a plumbing kind of pipe, only wooden. )
  260. ( Anyway, rolling for hook damage. )
  261. rolling 3d10+25+8
  262. (3+6+5)+25+8= 47
  263.
  264. GM (GM): You dig the hook into the drawer and yank. It rips the cheap aluminum out to reveal a slightly stunned electronic panel.
  265.
  266. Martin Baron: ( I'll push the first button I see )
  267.
  268. GM (GM): You press a button.
  269. Lights engage on the console, you hear a click from accross the room where cas is.
  270. *across
  271.
  272. Jonathan Sommer: "Door controls, huh..."
  273.
  274. Martin Baron: ( What other buttons are there? Or should I perception that too? )
  275.
  276. GM (GM): There are several other buttons.
  277. Three of which have card slots next to them.
  278.
  279. Clayton R. climbs out of cover, taking off his riot helmet and once again replacing it with his topsider helmet.
  280.
  281. Martin Baron: ( Some of the other rooms might be locked off with card access. We may have to explore before we fully open up each door. )
  282.
  283. Valerie P. Awsum walks over seeing Clay having a topsider helmet "Hey where did you get THAT?" she asks pointing at the helmet
  284.
  285. Jonathan Sommer jumps onto the desk chair and lays back on it.
  286.
  287. Jonathan Sommer: "I'll hold down the fort."
  288.
  289. Martin Baron: ( Any other buttons or just the three with card slots? I'll push those too. )
  290.
  291. GM (GM): (Yes, sorry.)
  292. There are several other buttons as well.
  293.
  294. Cas Hutson perks his ears up, hearing the click from the door next to him. Turning his direction towards the door, he attempts to find a way to get the door to open up.
  295.
  296. GM (GM): There is also a large white one.
  297.
  298. Earrtet Acroud : "Hey maybe you should let the Traitor handle the button stuff, I bet she knows all about achieving to a path of massive bloodshed."
  299.
  300. GM (GM): You pull the handle and the door opens.
  301.
  302. Jonathan Sommer waves his finger towards the large white button.
  303.
  304. Martin Baron: ( Largest one is obviously the most dangerous one. Do any of them have labels or are they just unmarked buttons? )
  305.
  306. Clayton R. stares at her. "a transport, and some dead topsiders."
  307.
  308. Martin Baron: ( I doubt they have labels. I'll push every button aside from the card access ones and the big white one. )
  309.
  310. GM (GM): The labels look to be burned, likely a reaction to low level radiation.
  311.
  312. Jonathan Sommer: "If there's anything a Hornet Head can do, I can do a helluva lot better."
  313.
  314. Martin Baron: ( Can't perception roll to make out the letters I guess. )
  315.
  316. Jonathan Sommer: ((I'll roll too))
  317. ((Use our intuition and guess work))
  318.
  319. Martin Baron: "You'sh... better at making genochide, Jon?" Martin says, laughing a small bit at his own joke.
  320.
  321. GM (GM): You hit the buttons.
  322. Lights come on and off.
  323.
  324. Cas Hutson turns around, glancing at the other people of the group. Making a small huff, he decides to go on ahead and follow the green neon line to scout ahead.
  325.
  326. GM (GM): You hear a zrack as the intercom comes up when you press one of the panels.
  327.
  328. Jonathan Sommer chuckles nervously.
  329.
  330. Valerie P. Awsum cringes at exchange of jokes. She moves towards the desk "Okay, give me a moment..."
  331.
  332. Jonathan Sommer: "Nah, I got this. I once took a class on computers in community college."
  333. "Er, I mean real college."
  334.
  335. Martin Baron: "Don't schew thish up... You shhrinkwrap."
  336. ( Want me to come with Cas? )
  337.
  338. Cas Hutson: (Sure, if you want!)
  339.
  340. Jonathan Sommer: ((Have a party follow the green, the rest stay watch))
  341.
  342. Martin Baron: ( Sounds smart. )
  343.
  344. Earrtet Acroud : ( can i go along with cas too?)
  345.
  346. GM (GM): (Sure!
  347.
  348. Martin Baron: ( If there's a door leading here, best close it and lock it. If you can't, bar it. )
  349.
  350. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Jon "...I was a... secretary for the last 7 years"
  351.
  352. Jonathan Sommer: "Of what, the baby-eating society?"
  353.
  354. Jonathan Sommer taps on the intercom.
  355.
  356. Valerie P. Awsum is slowly numbing herself to the constant negativity and joins with the rest of the party, leaving the cheeky raccoon to his own devices
  357.
  358. Clayton R. shakes his head at the topsider rat. She was really letting him down on all fronts. He finally speaks to her. "How did you even get this far out in the wastes?"
  359.
  360. GM (GM): Sure
  361. Sorry, just setting up the next room.
  362.
  363. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Clayton "...3 men team, a mutt and a transport." she mutters "...gets you anywhere."
  364.
  365. Earrtet Acroud : Earrtet Acrownd says "I'm sure if it was a baby eating society she'd beta samsquach."
  366.
  367. Jonathan Sommer: ((Is Clayton with me or them?))
  368.
  369. GM (GM): ((Ah yea, the old BES Neatherland division. ))
  370.
  371. Clayton R. squints behind the mask, "Yeah, but what was a secretary doing out here in the first place?"
  372.
  373. Clayton R.: (( I went with the others. ))
  374.
  375. GM (GM): Where ever he wants to be.
  376. That's everone, save the coon.
  377.
  378. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Clayton looking a bit nervous "D... Do you think Topsiders can skip patrol duties? Everyone has to go and do their quota. Starting from teens at 15. "
  379.
  380. Martin Baron: ( We come back to find him dead. )
  381.
  382. GM (GM): You enter the officer barracks/ communications wing
  383. (( "Alright, you people owe me a quota! I want 7 mutant scalps a day!))
  384.
  385. Martin Baron: "What kind of... Topshider soschiety hash a shecretary? What paperwork ish there?"
  386.
  387. Clayton R. shrugs, "I wasn't aware of it, but hey... at least you're not stuck at a desk job anymore."
  388.
  389. Earrtet Acroud : "Docs on horrible nazi experiments i bet."
  390.
  391. GM (GM): You see three normal wooden doors along the wall and one large metal one at the end.
  392.
  393. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Martin and then at Clayton "There's still paperwork and administration. Don't think breaucracy died with zero bombs." she looks at Earrtet with an eartwitch and a worried look but doesn't say anything
  394.
  395. Martin Baron giggles at the thought of a Topsider working at a desk job, like seeing your worst enemy becoming a janitor many years since you last met.
  396.
  397. Martin Baron will start looking around, starting with the first room next to the entrance.
  398.
  399. Clayton R. continues down the hallway. "I bet you're really enjoying this promotion huh? Last time a topsider changed on us, he tried to kill us with a grenade bandoleer."
  400.
  401. Clayton R. glances inside the second room
  402.
  403. GM (GM): The door opens easily
  404.
  405. Jonathan Sommer speaks into the intercom, "Hello, hello?"
  406.
  407. Martin Baron: ( And the others? )
  408.
  409. GM (GM): ((Stinking frink tiles.)
  410.
  411. Cas Hutson sees as though Martin and Clayton are checking the other doors, so moves on over towards the third wooden door, giving a quick check inside of the room behind door number three.
  412.
  413. Valerie P. Awsum peeks into the third room and looks at Clay "...promotion? I'm a mutant, I'm now part of the problem and if there won't be a cure we might not see the world getting off the knees."
  414.
  415. GM (GM): On the door you read "Officer Bakshi"
  416. Inside you see a simple cot and a basic foot locker. probably not his normal residence.
  417.
  418. GM (GM): Everyone hears Sommer talk over the intercom
  419.
  420. Earrtet Acroud : Earrtet Acroud looks at Awsum and says "then do this!" and makes a jesture of putting a gun to your head and pulling the trigger.
  421.
  422. Jonathan Sommer: ((Can I hear them or nah?))
  423.
  424. Clayton R. pushes open the door ahead of him, stopping again to speak to the rat. "Cure huh? And what did your collegues do with humans like me?"
  425.
  426. GM (GM): upon basic inspection, you notice intercom panels in each room. It must be to talk to reception.
  427. Sommer, you hear their chatter down the hall but faintly.
  428.
  429. Jonathan Sommer opens a bottle of liquor as he waits for the group to figure things out.
  430.
  431. GM (GM): Clayton, you push open the door. It read "Officer Clampet.
  432.
  433. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Earret with a cringe "Yeah you know what? That what I wanted to do for the first 6 hours until my survival instinct kicked in." she yells at him, completely ignoring Clay's question
  434.
  435. GM (GM): Clayton!
  436. You hear a hissing noise from this room!
  437.
  438. Clayton R. produces his blaster
  439.
  440. Clayton R.: "I got noises in my room"
  441.
  442. Earrtet Acroud : "So you value yourself over the "noble cause" you believed, at least the nazi died along with their belifes."
  443.
  444. Martin Baron: ( Mind if I roll perception hearing? Don't want to get ambushed if there are more. )
  445.
  446. GM (GM): Sure!
  447.
  448. Clayton R. gestures to his team, then speaks into the darkness. "Come out with your hands up and you won't be harmed."
  449.
  450. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+15+20
  451. (29)+15+20= 64
  452.
  453. GM (GM): You hear faint scratching and angered swearing.
  454.
  455. Martin Baron draws the hook and nears the 2nd door, keeping an ear out for any other signs of life.
  456.

  461.
  462. GM (GM): You hear it from... A vent in the ceiling.
  463. Clayton!
  464. The cot flies toward you!
  465.
  466. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Earrtet as she moves closer to Clay. She doesn't say a thing
  467.
  468. GM (GM): Roll dodge!
  469.
  470. Martin Baron freezes in place, looking up to the vents in the ceiling. Martin puts a finger to his mouth and points up at the ceiling, trying to warn the others.

  489.
  490. Clayton R. reacts too late, taking a cot to his chest as it's thrown from the room. He wheezes for a short time as he catches his breath. "More than you might think. Cover the door!"
  491.
  492. GM (GM): A mutant comes from the shadows. It is covered in eye-stalks and features claws!
  493. Roll intiative!
  494.
  495. Martin Baron tries to shush Val, jumping back as a monster mutant makes his appearance.
  496.
  497. Martin Baron: ( Still drunk. )

  499. Valerie P. Awsum looks completely frightened "L... looks like our last attacker."

  523. Clayton R.: (( I assume it will be one action to throw the cot off of me? ))
  524.
  525. GM (GM): ((Sure, why not?))
  526.
  527. Clayton R. grunts under his mask, bracing himself against the wall and forcing the cot off of him and toward the mutant.
  528.
  529. Cas Hutson snaps his attention towards Clayton and the sudden arrival of a mutant, grimacing over this. "Aw %^&*, of all places it came from that room?" He snarks.
  530.
  531. Clayton R. fires at the mutant with his blaster

  543.
  544. Valerie P. Awsum looks at the down mutant "What now? We should euthanize it. The poor thing must be in pain."
  545.
  546. Jonathan Sommer: ((Wow, we should keep Clayton around))
  547.
  548. Clayton R. takes a deep breath as the mutant slumps over. "Make sure this thing is subdued. We don't want to end up as mutant chow."
  549.
  550. Martin Baron is happy the mutant is down, but...
  551.
  552. Jonathan Sommer: "... If you're all dead, don't say anything."
  553.
  554. Martin Baron: ( Can I perception roll the vents? )
  555.
  556. GM (GM): Sure

  564.
  565. Earrtet Acroud : Earrtet Acrowd yells "Yes were alive."
  566.
  567. Martin Baron can barely tell anything about the vents. He looks to the others and whispers "The ventsh... There's shomething elshe here..."
  568.
  569. Clayton R. waves his hand. "I don't care, just make sure it doesn't come back after us. It's feral anyway."
  570.
  571. Valerie P. Awsum holds out her hand "Your weapon... I don't have a zero blaster but this will do."
  572.
  573. Jonathan Sommer: "Alrighty. Don't get too kill-crazy now. 'Specially ya, Martin!"
  574.
  575. Martin Baron gets impatient at the others and decides to investigate himself.
  576.
  577. Martin Baron: ( Can I jump to reach the vents, or is there another access point? )
  578.
  579. GM (GM): You can reach the vents easily
  580.
  581. Clayton R. shakes his head, he takes out his revolver and detaches the grappling attachment. "Use this. I need to help Martin."
  582.
  583. GM (GM): Although it is out of reach for the short feet people.
  584.
  585. Valerie P. Awsum looks over the revolver "Are you kidding me? The knockback for this is tremendous"
  586.
  587. Martin Baron: ( I'd like to investigate the vents then. Short people be damned, I'm too drunk to care. )
  588.
  589. Valerie P. Awsum: (( Ask Clay for a boost ))
  590.
  591. Clayton R. watches Martin approach the vent. He rolls his eyes as Val reprimands him. "It's better learn how to use a real gun now."
  592.
  593. Cas Hutson: ((Sorry, was off for a moment for a drink.))
  594.
  595. Earrtet Acroud : "Just kill the monster already!"
  596.
  597. Clayton R. offers an arm to Martin. "Climb up."
  598.
  599. GM (GM): You pop the cover off and stick you head in the vent. It's dark.
  600.
  601. Martin Baron puts away his hook in his backpack, setting that aside on the ground. He retrieves the 10mm Pistol and a single magazine, taking Clayton's offer and climbs into the ventilation shaft.
  602.
  603. Martin Baron: ( I'll roll perception, if it doesn't give me another 6 )
  604. ( Maybe it'll give me night vision. )
  605. rolling 1d100+15
  606. (19)+15= 34
  607.
  608. GM (GM): Still dark.
  609.
  610. Valerie P. Awsum yells at Clay "Zero Guns are... oh you know what fuck it. If I break a wrist, you'll set it." she says and walks to the monster and scans where the brain should be before saying few soothing words about "It being all over soon" and "Not worrying a thing" and shooting it from a shot distance, twice where the brain should be and once in the heart.
  611.
  612. Martin Baron: ( Still can't see. Oh well, I'll continue inwards. Don't have a flashlight or anything to give any light, so I'll just have to continue onwards blind. )
  613.
  614. Valerie P. Awsum gives Clay the gun back "Thanks" and decides to join Martin "You know I have a flashlight..."
  615.
  616. Martin Baron: "Doesh it have a brain too?" Martin says back, his voice echoing into the vents.
  617.
  618. Jonathan Sommer: ((EVERYBODY HATES VALE))
  619.
  620. GM (GM): That'd do it.
  621.
  622. Clayton R. it's only downing on Clayton now how long Martin has been drunk. He tucks away the revolver with some difficulty as he holds up Martin.
  623.
  624. Martin Baron returns to the entrance of the vent, sticking his hand out for the flashlight to be handed up to him.
  625.
  626. Valerie P. Awsum hands Martin the flashlight "Don't lose it. It's proton pack powered."
  627.
  628. Martin Baron: ( That much alcohol in a 3 foot body can do wonders )
  629. ( Or maybe it doesn't, I don't really know. )
  630.
  631. Cas Hutson goes into the third room while the others are busy, taking a quick inspection of what's inside room number three.
  632.
  633. Martin Baron: "Yeah, I bet it ish..." Martin replies, turning on the flashlight and continuing his exploration.
  634.
  635. Valerie P. Awsum yells "No seriously. They don't make those no more."
  636.
  637. GM (GM): Looking around you see the vent leading to your left, down the hall, and back to reception.
  638.
  639. Martin Baron: ( I'll head left then. Gonna roll hearing again, try to single the sailor out. )
  640. rolling 1d100+15+20
  641. (14)+15+20= 49
  642. ( Hello trash rolls, you've been overstaying your welcome for quite some time. )
  643.
  644. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Clay "Look, I'm not gonna lie I much prefer energy weapons."
  645.
  646. Jonathan Sommer presses a harmless looking button to pass the time.
  647.
  648. Clayton R.: "Who doesn't?"
  649.
  650. GM (GM): Martin, the swearing gets louder!
  651. A secret drawer opens up in the desk.
  652.
  653. Martin Baron readies his pistol in the other hand, inching closer down the vent to find whoever is stuck up here.
  654.
  655. Jonathan Sommer sits up in his chair and looks into the drawer.
  656.
  657. Valerie P. Awsum: "Well I'm more trained in energy gun usage."
  658.
  659. GM (GM): Sommer, you find a 9mm pistol are a book of regulations about firing ICBMs.
  660.
  661. Jonathan Sommer: "Hmm."
  662.
  663. Jonathan Sommer quickly skims through the book.
  664.
  665. GM (GM): Martin, you crawl until you are in communications. There you see an old vulture man messing with consoles, apparently frustrated by them.
  666.
  667. Martin Baron: ( I want to do a sneak roll. )
  668.
  669. GM (GM): (Probably should.
  670.
  671. Martin Baron: ( I'm gonna perform the basics of CQC. )
  672.
  673. Clayton R. turns back toward Val, "anybody would sue them in a heartbeat though. Why use guns when you have a death ray?"
  674.
  675. Martin Baron: ( While he has his back turned looking at the consoles, I'm gonna sneak behind him and subdue him. )
  676.
  677. Clayton R.: Whoops *use
  678.
  679. Martin Baron: ( How much does sneak +3 in skill give to the roll? )
  680.
  681. Jonathan Sommer: ((Don't accidentally slit his throat))
  682.
  683. Martin Baron: ( "accidentally" )
  684.
  685. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Clay "Because if you shoot someone in the suit they're good as dead. Can you lend me the gun? I want to go into the vents."
  686.
  687. Martin Baron: ( Yes, he accidentally shot himself twelve times. )
  688.
  689. Jonathan Sommer: ((He fell on my bullets))
  690.
  691. GM (GM): Val! The vent is abit small for you!
  692. You must roll contortion!
  693.
  694. Valerie P. Awsum: (( FIRST TIME IN MONTHS ))
  695.
  696. GM (GM): ( 1d100+agi. Beat 100)
  697.
  698. Clayton R. arches an eyebrow, he pulls out the revolver again, along with 12 bullets. He squats down. "Here... be careful, climb up on my shoulders to get inside."
  699.
  700. GM (GM): It never came up.

  705. Valerie P. Awsum tries to squeeze in "Damn it... too tight."
  706.
  707. Earrtet Acroud : "Boost me up, im the only other small fry here."
  708.
  709. Clayton R. sighs under Val's weight. "Aren't rats supposed to be good at this kind of stuff?"
  710.
  711. Martin Baron: ( Be right back, making tea. )
  712.
  713. Clayton R. gestures for the lizard to come forward
  714.
  715. GM (GM): Brb myself gotta stretch.
  716.
  717. Valerie P. Awsum pulls out and falls flat on her ass "I'm a POSSUM"
  718.
  719. GM (GM): Val, despite your petite figure your body is too long and stiff to angle into the vents!
  720.
  721. Earrtet Acroud : "Clay mind if you give me a bost to the vent?"
  722.
  723. Clayton R. stares at Val for for a while. "Oh... I guess I should've known that with a name like Pawsom." He says with a slight snicker. He leans down so the lizard can climb up.
  724.
  725. Jonathan Sommer tosses the book to the side and presses another button.
  726.
  727. Valerie P. Awsum grumbles "Fate loves screwing with you, doesn't it?"
  728.
  729. Earrtet Acroud : "Thank man." as i crawl up and follow be hind where martin went."
  730.
  731. Martin Baron: ( I'm sorry, I'm back. )
  732.
  733. GM (GM): You short sized Errtet?
  734.
  735. Martin Baron: ( Anyway, sneak roll then attack? How much does sneak +3 give GM? )

  744.
  745. Clayton R. nods half-heatedly. "I don't think I'm gonna fit, I'll see about opening these doors though." He says, turning back to Val, "You think you can help with that?"
  746.
  747. Valerie P. Awsum shrugs "I guess?... I had to open my door for my boss... right?"
  748.
  749. Clayton R.: "Riiiight."
  750.
  751. Martin Baron: ( That's a lot of things. )
  752.
  753. Cas Hutson: ((I apologize, back as well.))

  763.
  764. Martin Baron: ( Is my sneak roll forfeit? )
  765. ( Lol )
  766.
  767. GM (GM): Nah, it's very distracting.
  768.
  769. Jonathan Sommer attempts to press buttons to silence the alarm.
  770.
  771. GM (GM): The alarm goes off.
  772.
  773. Martin Baron: ( Anyway, think I can perform a wrestle or grapple attack to pacify him? Continuing with Metal Gear memes, like http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/metalgear/images/9/9c/MGS3_CQC.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090719030616 )
  774.
  775. GM (GM): The bird, still unaware of martin, sqwaks on a hand held radio.
  776.
  777. Martin Baron: ( Got a hook, can still cut. )
  778.
  779. Clayton R. closes his eyes in anger as the alarms go off around him. "We best handle this first." He says, gesturing all around."
  780.
  781. Vulture: Dang it guys! Every squatter in here is going to be frenzied, stop jerking around!
  782.
  783. Martin Baron: ( There are more people in here, they're locked in the rooms. )
  784. ( Not in this room, but the others )
  785. ( Oh wait, piss, I left the hook in my backpack near Clayton. All I got is my gun. )
  786.
  787. GM (GM): So, make your move?
  788.
  789. Valerie P. Awsum: (( Gun to the head !!))
  790.
  791. Martin Baron: ( Intimidation I suppose. )
  792.
  793. Earrtet Acroud : (we can 2 for 1 on him)
  794.
  795. GM (GM): Sneak then intimidation.
  796.
  797. Martin Baron: ( Roll for sneak again then? )
  798.
  799. GM (GM): So, you want to give him a heart attack?
  800.
  801. Martin Baron: ( I want answers )
  802. ( Not a dead bird )
  803. ( Or I can grapple him and hold the gun to his head, I dunno. )
  804.
  805. Clayton R. facepalms, waving at Val to follow as he approaches the door. "let's see what we can do?"
  806.
  807. GM (GM): Sure
  808.
  809. Martin Baron: ( So you said sneak roll again? )
  810.
  811. GM (GM): Roll perception!

  820. Valerie P. Awsum sighs and follows and tries to find something she can use to open it... like a panel
  821.
  822. GM (GM): Still unaware.
  823.
  824. Clayton R. examines the door
  825.
  826. Clayton R.: rolling 1d100+50

  828.
  829. Martin Baron attempts to lurk behind the vulture, not wanting to kill him, but pacify him.
  830.
  831. Martin Baron: ( Alright, so grapple, is it a strength roll? Because I may fail at intimidation immediately. )
  832. ( I'm sorry, I want to do this cleanly. )
  833.
  834. GM (GM): Detailed examination, and that you already seen it, reveals that the door has been booby trapped. There is a string tied to the pin on a grenade behind the door.
  835. Regular agi
  836.
  837. Cas Hutson moves on out of the room, and behind Valerie and Clayton as he makes a huff.
  838.
  839. Martin Baron: ( Thank you, I'm sorry for the wait. I'm going to grapple and hold him in place, so if my intimidation fails he wont make a sudden attack. )
  840.
  841. GM (GM): ((What to remember:
  842. To grab a target, you perform a
  843. melee attack as normal
  844.

  855. Wrestling moves take one action.))
  856.
  857. Clayton R. pulls his hand far away from the door. "Looks like it's booby trapped" He says, pointing to the string.
  858.
  859. Martin Baron: ( Wait, so grapple is just for one limb? Would wrestle be better in this case? )
  860.
  861. Jonathan Sommer: ((Grapple his head))
  862.
  863. GM (GM): Either works.
  864.

  871.
  872. Valerie P. Awsum: (( Sucks for Val to know only science ))
  873. "I don't have any skills in disarming bombs..."
  874.
  875. Earrtet Acroud : (mind if i hop down with ya martin?)
  876.
  877. Martin Baron , somehow able to succeed with this attack, says as plainly as he could to him "Don't... hic! ...move."
  878.
  879. Martin Baron: ( Sure, come on down. )
  880.
  881. Clayton R. looks to his topsider helmet for help, searching for any instructions on bomb disarming on some topsider wiki or something.
  882.
  883. Earrtet Acroud : Earrlet hops down and starts cracking the cat o 9 tails for intimidation
  884.
  885. GM (GM): ((I really don't know if topsider helmets have any databases or anything. Aaron never said there were... That's a good question!))
  886.
  887. Valerie P. Awsum extends a hand "Give me that. I know more about its functions"
  888.
  889. Martin Baron: ( Now would be ideal for intimidation. )
  890.
  891. Jonathan Sommer: ((Am I out of buttons?))
  892.
  893. Martin Baron: ( I'll give it a try first. )
  894.
  895. GM (GM): ((Yes, sorry Sommer!))
  896.
  897. Earrtet Acroud : you add mind bonus for imtiditation?
  898.

  926. Clayton R.: (( Someone is familiar with the software. ))
  927.
  928. Martin Baron: "Tell ush!" Martin yells, relieved that Earrtet's appearance helped with spooking the bird.
  929.
  930. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Clay "Nade on a string. Happy now? Open it a bit and cut the string."
  931.
  932. Vulture: Tell you what?!
  933.
  934. Martin Baron: ( Best shut the door as quickly as possible once you cut it. Just in case you messed it up. )

  944. GM (GM): ((He has a condition!))
  945.
  946. Martin Baron: ( His condition is called ugly, it can't be cured. )
  947.
  948. Clayton R.: "I tend to learn as I go. I only ever got some basic training for it." He's a bit surprised to see Val hasn't had a reaction to his face.
  949.
  950. Clayton R. quickly reequips the helmet.
  951.
  952. Vulture: We are here to jack the missile. I'm supposed to get on contact with Endtown and convince them to surrender.

  960. Clayton R.: "Well excuse me then, maybe you can teach me sometime." He jokes, " Do you have a knife?"
  961.
  962. Martin Baron: ( If anything, it's spookier to the bird. Who knows when the drunk slips his finger and fires the gun. )
  963.
  964. GM (GM): The vulture says that he was talking to the rest of the group, obvioulsy.
  965.
  966. Valerie P. Awsum pulls out something that can be best described as a bayonet "I hope this won't go into my ribs"
  967.
  968. Martin Baron: "Where are they?"
  969.
  970. GM (GM): "Command room." he says, "Our leader used to work at this base so we got through easily."

  991.
  992. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Clay "You know... A lot of our patrols have been taken up by a lot of booby traps. First primitive ones like this, then something really bad like transporters melted by thermite... crews blown to bits..."
  993.
  994. Vulture: We took a tram for miles then popped up in the middle of nowhere, then ran inside a base that we were able to lock doors quickly, carefully avoiding the monsters... By accident?
  995.
  996. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Clay "...this wasn't this team, right?"
  997.
  998. Vulture: You ding bags followed us here

  1040.
  1041. Valerie P. Awsum: (( Might be a good idea ))
  1042.
1043. Clayton R. chuckled, something about what Val said really got him. "Could be a bit of both really. He helped engineer a lot of gear for us, but he was a proper Nazi about killing topsiders, We got into fights sometimes."
  1044.
1045. Valerie P. Awsum puts her hand on Clay's shoulder "Should we help the coon guy?"
