  1. >As the snow falls gently on a busy city street at midday, a family of three walks down the sidewalk toward their destination.
  2. >A Christmas party was being thrown by their friends, and they were hurrying toward the apartment with a few gifts in tow, the parents walking behind the child to keep her moving along.
  3. >As they walked toward an intersection, a particularly festively decorated car sped down the street in front of them, catching the little girl's eye.
  4. >It was covered from bumper to bumper in twinkling lights and garland, with white snow decals detailing it. There were even sleigh bells! If Santa had driven a sedan, this would be the one.
  5. >The gears turned in her tiny head. What if that was Santa?
  6. >It could be, but why would he be here? To scout out homes to make sure they were still the right addresses? Why not use his sleigh?
  7. >Wait, that's it. He couldn't ride a sleigh on the road like a car, so of course he'd have something for travelling through cities on reconnaissance. That jolly fat man couldn't resist decorating it festively, though!
  8. >It had to be him! Her heart fluttered at the thought, and her legs started twitching.
  9. >She had been good this year, but she wanted to be absolutely sure she got that tea set she had written for.
  10. >Without a word, the girl broke into a sprint away from her parents, dashing through the snow and around the corner after the vehicle.
  11. >"Yiyi, no!" Her father yelled, giving chase alongside her mother, but it was too late.
  12. >The child had far too much speed, and following the car snaking through the city streets, it wasn't long before she was long gone out of sight.
  13. >Huffing and out of breath, the couple wondered what to do. They didn't see any markings on the vehicle that indicated any businesses, and they didn't have any car of their own to give chase.
  14. >But their friends did. With their help, they could just drive around town til they found that car, and hopefully their precious daughter.
  15. >It wasn't great, but it was all they had. With a newfound vigor, they picked the pace back up toward their original destination.
  16.
  17. >She ran, and ran, and ran after the car. Surely Santa had seen her, she thought.
  18. >Eventually, her thoughts snapped back to her family, and she slowed, letting the car continue on into the countryside as she stopped alongside the road.
  19. >She felt tired, and worse, the cold had suddenly hit her. Looking around, she noticed she was a foot deep in snow, and nowhere near her town.
  20. >Shivering, she began to trek back slowly. Oh, how could she have run off without her father or mother?
  21. >It would've been easy to get back if Santa had just slowed down in the first place, but he must've been too busy for that.
  22. >She cursed herself for getting so caught up in chasing him! Now she had to walk back, and she was tired...
  23. >Oh, so tired...
  24. >And cold...
  25. >Oh, so cold...
  26. >She tried to focus on walking, but her steps got weaker and weaker.
  27. >Yiyi slumped forward and downwards, falling into the cold snow with no one to help.
  28.
  29. >"HELLLLLLP!" A voice cried out, startling the young girl awake.
  30. >Strangely, Yiyi was now warm. Even stranger still, she was being carried.
  31. >Looking below her, a sea of purple moved in unison, a few pairs of hands holding her aloft.
  32. >That sea of purple looked to be... clones of her mother?
  33. >"HELLLLLLP!" The voice cried out once more. "I'M BEING CHASED BY A PACK OF WILD YURIS!"
  34. >She turned forward, and noticed a man in a green snow suit desperately running for his life.
  35. >Running towards her hometown! And being followed!
  36. >How fortunate!
  37. >She sat back on her motherly ride and watched the mob's prey run.
  38.
  39. >"We'll find her, just try to relax, alright?" Natsuki tried to reassure her purple haired friend in the back seat as Monika drove and Sayori kept a lookout.
  40. >"I know, it's just... How could I let her get away?" Yuri asked, on the verge of tears.
  41. >"No, no, no, it's not your fault! I mean, you probably could've held onto her hand or something, but you know how you guyses kids are." Natsuki stammered, trying not to blame her. "Weirdly fast for some reason! She got too excited and just rushed off at light speed. Hell, she'll probably make it home before we do! Or maybe the guys have already found her!"
  42. >"Yeah!" Sayori agreed, looking out the window. "Hey, why is it that all Yuri's have babies that run like that, anyway?"
  43. >The car went silent as the four thought about it.
  44. >"Strange." Monika said aloud. "Speaking of strange behavior, check it out, one of those weird packs of feral androids." She pointed out the window.
  45. >"HELLLLLLLLLP!" The man being chased yelled.
  46. >"Should we... help him?" Natsuki asked.
  47. >"No, it's usually best to leave those things alone." Yuri said, cheering up a little from the odd situation.
  48. >"Right." Monika agreed, turning down another road to avoid the mob and continue the search.
  49.
  50. >Noticing her mom's friend's car turn down the road, the rejuvenated young girl hopped down off the purple moshpit and onto the sidewalk.
  51. >With their load lightened, the confused purples turned back to the girl, and noticing that he wasn't being chased, the man looked back too.
  52. >"I'm fine now, thank you for helping me." She said with a soft smile.
  53. >In unison, the girls nodded and turned back around, giving chase once more.
  54. >"HELLLLLLLP!" The voice rang out once more as Yiyi walked briskly toward the street where she saw the car turn.
  55. >Looking down it, however, she saw no such car. They must've already turned again.
  56. >Drat! If only she had more energy back, she could easily run around and see which one they turned down. She began her slow walk down the street to see if she could find them.
  57. >"Hey, kid." A voice called from behind her. Turning to the street, she saw a nice looking car behind her, with the window rolled down.
  58. >"You're awfully small to be out here alone. Where are you parents?" The woman in the drivers seat asked, a concerned look on her face.
  59. >"I, uh. I don't know. I ran away accidentally. I think they're around here somewhere." Yiyi answered.
  60. >"Really? Do you need help finding them?"
  61. >"Yes, but they told me never to get into a stranger's car, so I probably shouldn't..."
  62. >"That's smart of you to follow that advice." The woman agreed, and thought. "Don't suppose you know their phone number or your address?"
  63. >"No, sadly. I can write pretty well, but numbers still elude me."
  64. >"Right. I hate to say it, but I think our best options are either calling the police and letting them know, or driving you around until we find them. I can leave the doors unlocked and the windows down, so you can get out any time you want."
  65. >Yiyi thought, and nodded. If worst came to worst, she could probably shriek this woman's ears out.
  66. >"Okay, that'll work." Walking around the hood of the car, she let herself in and buckled her seatbelt.
  67. >Turning to her newfound ally, Yiyi noticed some finer details she had missed outside the car.
  68. >Her red and white suit, her gloves and belt, and her hair flowing behind the headrest and tucked underneath that pommed hat...
  69. >"A... Are you Mrs. Claus?" The child asked excitedly.
  70. >"Huh?" She looked down at her clothes, and laughed. "Oh, no, I wear this for my job. We recorded a holiday video today." She smiled warmly at the child's innocence. "Now, where to?"
  71. >"They went down one of these streets, I think."
  72. >"Got it!" With that, the woman turned on the radio to a Christmas station, and pulled out onto the street.
  73.
  74. >Her head on a swivel, Yuri scanned the street as they rode down it, coming to a stop at an intersection.
  75. >It was getting late, and she was lost in thought. She worried about where her baby was. If she was safe, and warm.
  76. >Her thoughts were crashed by a large, blaring sound. Her eyes darted around, trying to see where it was coming from.
  77. >"Oh, great. A fucking rude-ass Mikugger." Natsuki said, looking into the rear-view mirror.
  78. >"Natsuki!" Sayori said sharply.
  79. >"What? They all..." Their racially charged conversation continued as Yuri took a look of her own, focusing on the mirror.
  80. >There was a blue haired girl in the driver's seat of the car behind her, but in the passenger seat...
  81. >The purple hair girl fumbled open the door of the car and nearly fell out, running to the car behind her.
  82. >As she did so, the passenger door of that car flew open and out jumped Yiyi, running to embrace her.
  83. >Meeting between the two, Yuri teared up as she held her daughter close.
  84. >"Oh, Yiyi, where did you run off to?"
  85. >"I chased Santa to make sure he got my tea set, and fell in some snow, and then a bunch of you saved me, and then that nice woman helped me find you!" The excited child pointed to the car she had ridden in, and Yuri picked her up, looking to the driver.
  86. >The blue haired woman sat, beaming. Teary-eyed, Yuri walked with her to the passenger side window.
  87. >"T-thank you. I can't tell you how much it means to me."
  88. >"Hey, I'm happy to help. You guys have a merry Christmas, alright?"
  89. >"You too."
  90. >With a wave, Miku pulled off and ahead of the Doki's vehicle, before driving off down the road and into the night.
  91. >Looking back to her girl, Yuri smiled once more, and Yiyi smiled back.
  92. >"Let's call your dad and get to that party, now." She wiped away her joyous tears, and walked back to the car.
