  1. Im gonna be a little upfront and say that this pastebin is gonna be a little more personal than most, on account of the news I received five minutes ago.

  3. My mom just called me to tell me that my beloved cat Taffy had passed away this past weekend. She was around 13-14 years old. I've had Taffy since i was in fourth grade, and in a way, she was like me. Most of the time, she (like me) just did her own thing, without a care in the world as to what others were doing. Also like me though, she could once in a while be very loving. While I knew she was getting old, this news still came as a shock as when I was home on winter break, Taffy seemed just fine. She was a little overweight as a cat, but I'm not one to judge certainly. So, in honor of her memory, I would like to share a few of my favorite memories I have of her.

  5. I remember the day we got Taffy, we also went to a local fairgrounds. My mom had bought me and my sister a nice big bag of saltwater taffy, and we were enjoying it. When we saw taffy at the pound, she was gorgeous. Unfortunately, I don't know the breed, but she was a white cat with blotches of brown and black randomly placed on her body. Her spots of color reminder me of the saltwater taffy that my mom had just bought us, and as such we named her Taffy.

  7. As soon as we got home that day, we let her out of the cage and Taffy bolted out and around the house. My sister started chasing here, and suddenly screamed. Little did she know that when Taffy bolted it out, Taffy also had to use the bathroom. Needless to say, I turned the corner and saw my sister, with a foot skyhigh in the air, with cat poop on it that she clearly stepped in. My sister was unhappy, but both me and my dad were cracking up with laughter. Starting from day one, my sister never really cared for Taffy, but I knew I would always love Taffy.

  9. About six years ago, my aunt took in a pregnant cat to help the cat have it's kittens. This cats name was Lucy. Lucy successfully had her kittens (I belive 8 of them), and they were the cutest things I have ever seen! Once the kittens were sold away, my aunt decided to formally adopt Lucy. However, their original cat Lucky was not pleased. Lucky and Lucy fought like, well, like 2 crazy cats! Clearly, they could not have both Lucy and Lucky, so it was decided that Lucy would come back to my house. My sister loved Lucy, and I liked Lucy too, but Taffy certainly did not. Taffy felt scared, intimidated, and probably like we were trying to replace her. She started getting territorial, and it was bad. Eventually we reached a point where we knew we had to give one of the cats up. My sister wanted to keep Lucy, and ditch taffy, but I was adamant that Taffy had to stay. In the end, Taffy stayed, Lucy went back to my Aunt's, and Lucky went to live with my grandmother. Taffy felt at peace again.

  11. So Taffy, I hope you find a nice couch to lay on wherever you ended up, but know this. Despite me not always paying attention to you, despite me not always appreciating you, you made my life great, and I will always remember you in my heart.
