  1. Bithumb may be a completely fictitious exchange.
  2.
  3. 1. Bithumb's logo appears to be a stock graphic art image (see https://i.imgur.com/PLqOujx.png). Notice the image on the right says Bitcash, even though the real Bitcash is a Japanese exchange with a different logo (http://bitcash.jp/docs/guide/lang/zh-TW/index?sv=1&_lh)
  4.
  5. 2. This photo (https://i.imgur.com/McQnkOs.png) has been used in all the news coverage of the so-called outrage over the exchange outage on November 12th, however it appears to have been an older image used as early as 2014 (see https://i.imgur.com/4AgEuWd.png in this case July 14th).
  6.
  7. 3. Bithumb.com has 2 addresses listed. 17, Teheran-ro 16-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Korea is the first, https://www.instantstreetview.com/@37.498361,127.034048,52.8h,-2.1p,1z (this is definitely not the same location as the picture) and https://www.instantstreetview.com/@37.493734,127.032502,141.77h,5p,1z (which is clearly a grocery store).
  8.
  9. 4. Nobody knows anything about Bithumb. There's no information online about founders, investors, associated banks, etc.
  10.
  11. 5. I have a friend currently in Seoul. I asked him to go check out Bithumb because I thought it would be cool for him to visit the world's largest exchange (he's not really into crypto). He couldn't find it. Nobody on the streets has heard of Bithumb (or Bitsum as it may be called). Bithumb has no television commercials. No advertisements. No outward evidence it exists except all the hype we're getting in America. It's all hype, and it's going to come crashing down.
  12.
  13. Cash out to USD as soon as you can.
