Major database cleanup

Dear players,

Just to be sure you will not be surprised we want to remind you that on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 10 PM, a major database cleanup and optimization of both servers will be carried out.

This cleanup is going to be the most extensive one in the server’s history as it has already been a year and a half since the last cleanup was done.

All characters in the auction will be returned to their owners’ accounts and all the auctions will be cancelled before the cleanup.

What will be deleted:
- All accounts that have not been logged into game for more than 7 months
- All characters with played time (accessible via the command /played) shorter than 2 hours
- All accounts with no character on it (empty accounts without any stars)
- All parties/raids (if you log out while being in a raid or a party, you will not be in it after the cleanup)
- All emails/characters/guilds referring to nonexistent senders/accounts/members.
- All permabanned characters.
This time, all characters who meet these requirements will really be deleted.

Performing this operation will significantly speed up the database, the whole game and mainly the server startup after a crash. It is also a step towards transferring our database to a dedicated database server.

The servers will be offline during the cleanup and the whole operation will take approximately two or three hours.

We strongly recommend you not to be careless about this notice. Deleted characters/accounts cannot be restored.

Some in-game auctions might disappear during the cleanup, we therefore ask you to cancel all of them, if they are valuable to you. No lost items can be later restored!
