PERSONALITY:
jack is quiet by nature, but becomes more talkative around his members. oftentimes he comes off as lazy in comparison to the the more energetic members, but in reality that’s because he’s tired from working his tail off practicing off-camera 25/8. in the group, he has one of the greatest resolves to better himself and his skills, and is looked up to for that. the only problem with it is that he doesn’t know where to draw the line and stop in terms of practice, so he tends to overwork himself and push himself too hard (pray for him omg). this aside, he is also very smart and witty, and many come to him for advice on just about anything. he’s a great listener and just wants the best for his members. a lot of his care is shown through actions rather than words. jack is very reliable, loyal, and patient, but can be blunt and hot-tempered when he's stressed. he rarely gets angry, but is one of the scarier members when he's pushed past his limit.

BACKGROUND:
jack was born in the united states in los angeles, california, but moved to korea when he was ten years old. he was always interested in dance and took classes when he was younger, but never really thought about becoming an idol until he became older. his friend from dance suggested that they both go and audition for an entertainment company just for fun. they did it and jack made it in, but unfortunately, the friend didn’t. jack wasn’t expecting to make it in, but took his trainee and idol career very seriously from that point on. his parents didn’t approve of this whatsoever, but he signed off anyways, promising himself that he’d do his best to make his parents proud one day.

- a terrible liar. you can always tell when he does it, because his voice lowers in pitch for no reason lol

- puts lots of sugar and creamer in his coffee (because if he's gonna be functioning solely on caffeine he's not gonna do it with some disgustingly bitter black coffee no sir)
- one time he was really hungry while in the dorm so he made a box of mac and cheese and ended up eating the entire thing (which is like 3 servings) by himself
- ^^ also, once while trying to cook something, he fell asleep but something was still cooking on the stove, setting off the fire alarm (someone save him)
- he can play the violin! he was actually in his high school's chamber orchestra but stopped practicing when he became a trainee
- once was scouted by a modeling agency on the street as a kid in los angeles, but never took up the offer
