A topic entitled 'Annoying finder issue (10.10.3)' was about a problem with Finder.

Finder does not run in Recovery OS.

A later post in the same topic described a problem with Recovery OS. A problem with Recovery OS that affected a reset of home directory permissions.

The problem with Recovery OS was off-topic from the topic about Finder.

So to avoid complaints about off-topic discussion, I spent a considerable time identifying the most appropriate topic.

In the 'OS X' sub-forum, I chose the topic entitled 'Help: Home Folder permissions need repair'.

So, I posted about the
problem with reset of OS X home directory permissions under
           OS X > Help: Home Folder permissions need repair

Result:

* removal of the post
* suspension of access privileges

– because the post was supposedly off-topic.

Neither Mac Developer Program members nor OS X Beta Program members have access to version
10.10.3 of Recovery OS.
