Background | Da-xia had no siblings and grew up in a pretty quiet neighbourhood. The school she went to was quite big so she was able to make a few friends there. She looked up to groups such as Miss A and Wonder Girls and wanted to have success just like them. This prompted her to start dancing and when she was 14 she joined dance crew called Glam. They entered many competitions together and won quite a few of them. When she turned 16 she got a enrolled at a dance company. They would frequently post videos of the dances they created and it was through this that she was seen by RBW entertainment. The company reached out to her to come and audition and so she did. She auditioned with a self-choreographed dance to the song 7 rings by Ariana Grande and she performed Babe by Hyuna.
