Personality:
➥ Maisie is what many describe as ‘empty-headed’, she is thoughtless most of the time and can’t focus. She always has good intentions, sometimes her innocence gets the best of her. Her friends describe her as being sweet as can be- even giving her the nickname ‘Sweet Pea’- she wouldn’t , and probably couldn’t, hurt even a fly. She tries her very best all the time but never succeeds and it takes a bit of a toll on her self esteem. She is seriously such a hard-worker but it doesn’t seem to pay off. She takes stacks and stacks of notes but they don’t help her in the slightest bit. She wants to make everyone happy, even at the cost of her own happiness.

Background:
➥ Maisie has a pretty standard childhood. Went to school, did after school activities, joined clubs, etc. etc. until she started getting ill. She got strange symptoms and eventually at the age of 12 she was diagnosed with Lupus. She never let that stop her and continued on with after school activities and clubs. But had to leave all of that behind when her parents decided to move to Seoul, South Korea. She was extremely against it as she would be leaving her home, friends, and activities but eventually gave in because it is what would make her parents happy. They were always strict on her and wanted her to be ambitious and smart, she always felt pressured by them to do well. So when she moved to Seoul, she took extra notes and studied extremely but she still fell behind and her parents got upset.

Why is she failing it?:
➥ She has always had trouble remembering things, all those dates, names, etc. No matter how many times she writes them down in her notes she can’t memorize them to save her life. It’s a miracle that she passed World history 1.

What led her to the decision to get a tutor?:
➥ Her parents forced her after seeing her World history grade and having a meeting with a teacher who recommended it. They were extremely disappointed in her.

➥ Teachers;Most of them can see that she truly tries hard but just doesn’t get the grades she going for. They try to help her out as much as they can but they can only do so much. One of her teachers actually came up with the idea of her getting a tutor.

⇘ At the beginning they were nothing more that ‘study buddies’ I don’t think they were buddies at all actually. Maisie wanted nothing to do with tutoring, believing that she could raise the grade on her own if she just took more notes. She would always complain to him about it ‘being to hard to memorize all of this, who even cares what happened like a gajillion years ago’. She usually tries to convince him to come with her to the Roller Rink to study, even though he knows better than that (she would get distracted and want to skate). Sometimes that tactic worked and he would meet her at the roller rink and just as he thought she ended up skating instead of studying. He never wanted to skate along with her and she wondered why.

⇘ In the middle he got a bit tougher and didn’t let her stray off as much, she of course wasn’t a big fan of having to study in a boring, old library and complained. Finally he had enough of the complaining and said that she could come to his house to study, if she would stop complaining all the time. This went on for a while, they talked at school and texted but didn’t hang out outside of tutoring. He asked her about her other classes and she told him she wasn’t doing well in Mandarin and he offered to help her with it on days they were free. Slowly she started coming over on days when she didn’t have tutoring.

⇘ One day when they were both off Chenle invited her over, but not just to hang out. He asked her on a date, of course she didn’t realize this and came over expecting everything to be how it always was. But it wasn’t, he was quieter and shy. She asked him what was up and he confessed to her. She never realized he had feelings like that and walked out of the door. Only to come right back and confessed to him. And they were good from that day forward.
