  1. [09:08:54] Enoch Albion whispers: Miss, Ana...I don't know if you're busy, but if you aren't too busy would it be alright to start my training soon?
  2. [09:13:10] Anamaria D. Claudius: Okayyyy.
  3. [09:13:10] Soranis Ventiza: Mattias, is it time to begin?
  4. [09:14:52] Anamaria D. Claudius: What were we gonna practice now?
  5. [09:15:44] Enoch Albion: Well...I was hoping you'd be able to tell me? I know I don't have any real practice with a sword...I kinda just swing it around.
  6. [09:17:26] Anamaria D. Claudius: Oh, right.
  7. [09:17:26] Anamaria D. Claudius: Sword practice.
  8. [09:23:24] She pulls out a small, wooden sword she had learned to keep on her person due to how often she winded up sparring with the children that were so intrigued at what she was capable of. She couldn't risk using Ascalon against any lesser opponents in a fight that was only to serve for the betterment of their abilities. It's given a firm swipe out, a thin trail of brown following behind as she does, and now she cracks her neck.
  9.
  10. "Right. Swordsmanship is at its best when the one fighting has good reaction time and knowledge on just when to swing, and what kind of swing would be best to force back the enemy," she explains. A diagonal swipe, then a horizontal and finally, a vertical. "Basic strikes like these are what you need to grow accustomed to. Alongside that, find a posture that can hold you together steady. The one that I learned when I was your age was from a man named Balder. Try this," she orders. Her legs are brought to a bend and kept a fair distance apart, much like a predator rearing itself for an attack against its prey, and now her 'sword' is held with both hands. "Always use both hands to bring out the most strength from your sword. There's many styles, some priding on being offensive, others taking a more counteractive and defensive approach. In your own time, figure out what you feel best suits you, and grow use to it,"
  11. (Anamaria D. Claudius)
  12. [09:32:48] He'd felt anxious, a willingness to impress the woman obvious in eyes shaded jade. Anamaria removed a wooden sword in order to better interact in the training scenario and thus Enoch followed in aims to optimize the experience. His attentiveness to the words of wisdom which slipped through her silken lips was sharp, the respect for the warrior grand.
  13.
  14. She'd advised the squire take a stance similar to her own and claimed that swordsmanship at it's core was keen on the use of strategical maneuver and fluidity which he could understand. Donning the wooden weapon splintered and knicked from tedious, repetitive use, the child mimicked her foot positioning and promptly gripped the hilt of the wooden replica model with a vice tightness.
  15.
  16. "I just wanted to thank you again for helping me so....it means a lot."The child explained gratuity and humble in the likes of his words, mannerisms and posture. Priming his senses and focus he kept his eyes keen on every transgression in movement his mentor did, and would take.

  18. (Enoch Albion)
  19.
  20. [09:41:20] Anamaria shrugs soon after hearing his words, smiling warmly. "It's fine, part of the job," she tells him. With that much said, her 'sword' is prepped for battle now, and she gestures him to come at her. She wanted to see if he was really paying attention to what she said.
  21. (Anamaria D. Claudius)
  22.
  23. [09:43:53] Enoch centered himself for a moment and awaited the opportune time to strike. Strafing for a moment he looked for openings, however still new to the concept of forcing an enemy into submission through precision left him frustrated by the lack of obvious openings in Anamaria's fighting style. "Okay...then I'll have to create an opening" the youth decided coming to a mental consensus before accelerating forward towards his opponent.
  24. (Enoch Albion)
  25.
  26. [09:54:08] The squire was rather hesitant in his approach still trying to adapt to the new style of fighting he was attempting to adopt. Brutish strength wasn't the child's strong point preferring to use speed to his advantage, but a change in composure may have been necessary. A vertical overhead slash fell upon the light locked custodian but was easily avoided by the predictable wind up and sloppy execution, and was punished by a quick swat. Albeit fast, the strike held ample strength providing an imposing threat the child couldn't avoid.
  27.
  28. Tagged he winced in pain but quickly shifted, altering the course of his trajectory and assaulting Claudius once more swinging quicker now than before. He'd need to create a falter in her stance and so a launch of attacks at vital areas was the strategy to employ for who in their right minds wouldn't block such attacks?
  29.
  30. Evidently, Anamaria was that sort of person, and her experience and ability to read her opponent proved far more formidable than once assumed. With elegance she avoided every attack Enoch exerted and with each missed attempt the child was punished by a counter strike.
  31.
  32. The fight continued to ensue in a consistent pattern eventually leading to Enoch's defeat, welts and bruises inflicted with incredulous precision left the child winded, forced to kneel in order to catch fleeting breaths.

  34. (Enoch Albion)
  35. [09:54:59] Enoch
