  1. The Shadows mainly had their power while hiding, bringing the fight into the open was a horrible idea for the clump of darkness. It was brutally set upon, slashed and crushed until it was nothing more than a formless mass of occultism. It melted, fading back into the mansion and revealing the chamber to the party in it's full light. It's core, however, was revealed to them all.
  2.
  3. A piece of metal that was constantly shifting in it's own timeline. Rusting, returning to new, and then doing the whole thing over, again and again. The Occultism seemed to latch onto this, forming a mass from this power.
  4.
  5. "Wow. I really didn't think it'd fight you in the open like that. But, you win! To the victor go the spoils, one power source down!"
  6.
  7. The voice of the Collector was dripping in sass.
  8.
  9. There was a small lecturn with a human skull on it, it's eyes burning with blue flame. Destroying this would most likely end half of the seal.
  10. [21:50] Ever so reluctant to approach this thing, Alya made decent use of her gun here. Usually a close quarters combatant, in this case, there was visible reluctant to approach this being. And she she did, it'd usually be with speed matching that of light for a quick assault before retreating.
  11.
  12. When the deed was done, and the darkness lifted, Alya would slowly come out of her winged shell. She did NOT approach the power cell or the metallic remains of the being.
  13.
  14. "Finally . . . Tch."
  15.
  16. With the realization that this part of the game was over, she let herself relax a little. Hands no longer risen to her afflicted chest, she'd allow them to sag against her sides.
  17.
  18. "That's one room. Let's quickly get the next one done. I'm already really fucking hating this place."
  19.
  20. She was already really close to the exit. Why in such a hurry, Alya?
  21. (Alya Kriemhild)
  22. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  23.
  24. [21:50] Into the fray, his towering frame unleashed a myriad of devastating strikes. Considering the lack of care for where he was? One could say despite the lose to his ancestral spirits.
  25.
  26. His heart was set ablaze.
  27.
  28. Joining alongside the others in heated collisions against the dark spirit. Crafting a distance to where his magics spilled forward. Shifting the reality around the creature, briefly.
  29.
  30. An attempt at constraining them inside a moments time.
  31.
  32. Forcing out his spirits eyes, honing in on the creatures weakness's.
  33.
  34. Like a mirror, a reflection in the ash blossomed out a flow to which saw no end. The sounds resonating in tandem with the creatures affinity.
  35.
  36. Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock!
  37.
  38. The stop-watch embedded in his shoulder worked its magic. Injecting into his system an overwhelming force of mana. Catching the creature amidst a unified strike. Compounding the trying efforts over the length of the battle.
  39.
  40. The wear and tear off the initial fight was beginning to show.
  41.
  42. But somehow?
  43.
  44. He'd managed to spot a gaping blemish from within the creature, straining his sight now as he throttled his being forward. Skipping through the frames, one step at a time till eventually only the darkness consumed him whole.
  45.
  46. An arm reeled back, punching into the monsters core. And tearing out whatever existence tied it to the mortal plane...
  47. (Basten)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49.
  50. [21:53] Arthur took a second as he slapped his sword down into one of the wriggling mass of shadow as he made his way over and looked at the skull well that was something. It was easier that he had been expecting but that could have been a point give them something to get there teeth not the cut the throat. Hel it was something that he would have done if he was being honest and it was a plan that he would have back if it wasn't something that was being done by a cus. Flapping his wings as he let the air worked his way around the room as he felt for something or anything else that might have been in the area. Even if the thing didn't breathe it would still have mass if it was going to be a problem and the wind would let him know what was coming.
  51.
  52. He was still mad there was still that rage that was building in him as he moved about the building he had made a promised to himself that he was going to raze this place to the ground and he was going to keep the promise this place was going to be nothing more than rock when he was done. Letting a whistle as he pulled his sword into the air and letting it fall into his hand as he looked at the skull, he looked at the pressure above the skull and started to increase it. Hammering more and more wind into that spot before the wind started to gain mass about it before he simple let it fall on the skill shattering the piece as he looked back at the door them came through.
  53.
  54. Giving Basten a thump on the back. "Ya sent up back da ta abyss nicely done on ya."
  55. (Arthur)
  56. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  57.
  58. [21:53] Now this. . this was an annoying battle. Orbs of darkness shot around the room, sucking further light from the room. The amalgamation seemed to slip in and out of the shadows, avoiding blows from the hunting group with ease whilst using Time itself to screw with them.
  59.
  60. Magnes blade swung true, impacting repeatedly against the form of the creature as it phased in and out. All the while the woman was humming a very upbeat, peppy tune and smiling! Blasts hammered into her but didn't seem to change her disposition, how bizarre! Eventually, a strike of her blade sent the creature off to the side and gave them a little time to recover before they fought onwards!
  61.
  62. Light danced around the woman, flashing forwards to pummel against the creature along with her holy energies. She didn't let up, she didn't cease. Just kept on pushing onwards as Basten finished the job.
  63.
  64. With the creature vanished, Magne simply stepped aside and let Basten do what he wanted to do.
  65. (Magne Kriemhild)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. [21:54] The shadows would be dispatched with relative ease. The occult laced liquid soon being burnt, cut, and decimated by the combined force of the party's magic. But that being said, the hits that it produced were still powerful enough to crack skulls.
  69.
  70. Jin would be light on her feet, manipulating her flames to burn away at the literal evil goop. The enhanced flames much like a Jet engine's propulsion as the bright blue hue of flames. The afterburn making a loud WOOOOOOOSSHHHH, every time the Captain concentrated her power forward.
  71.
  72. Eventually as the fight came to it's close, Jin would spot none other than basten speeding forward with his time manipulation. The man's figure soon being engulfed in shadow before violently bursting out the other side of it. Soon enough as the formless mass faded back into the pitch that it belonged... Jin would whistle softly.
  73.
  74. "Excellent work."
  75.
  76. The praise would be short lived however, soon heading toward Magne and Alya to check on them.
  77.
  78. "Are you two alright? What even happened to you guys?"
  79. (Jin Kriemhild)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [21:56] {Item} You picked up Lax Essence. Dropped by Basten. .
  83. [21:57] Rolling his neck, flexing his shoulders as the battle finally met its end. Metallic digits left to grip at a shard that fell from the creatures core.
  84.
  85. A sight as the flow of temporal magics swathed the object into random states of being. "Hrm… It's gotta flow of time ta it. Unless ya'll us'in magics lik' this? Ima pocket it... Gotta hav' sum' pay ta mah lift an these potions ya'll gett'in. Righ'?"
  86.
  87. If he wasn't stopped, a toothy grin revealed. Sliding the occultic shard away beneath his cloak if allowed. Following behind the others toward the exit now.
  88.
  89. With the skull cracked. They weakened the barrier, right? Surely his eyes could briefly see as he ignited the spiritual awareness amidst their departure from the room.
  90. (Basten)
  91.
  92. Carefully, Magne pours the vial into the flask. She's successful, and carries it over to the door. Pouring it back in, the door begins to creek open, revealing a larger red-lit chamber.
  93.
  94. A chamber, and a giant of a man chained to the wall, covered in a grey cloth. It looks to be more demon than man. His skin is black scale, bleeding out the same substance as the vials.
  95.
  96. "Here he is, my favorite treat to Osrona! A recreation of Verona, not quite ready, but still! It turned this sickly Rhoynishman into something -much- better."
  97.
  98. The giant begins to tear at his own chains, screaming and yelling the whole time. The sight of any living beings drives the massive man into a rage, tearing the chains off the walls and charging them all.
  99.
  100. The fight is on!
  101. [22:56] Basten says, "..........................."
  102. [22:57] Rhoynish Experiment says, "CONSUME. "
  103. [22:57] Magne looked around for a chalice. .
  104. (Magne Kriemhild)
  105. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  106.
  107. [23:01] AND THIS IS WHY SHE ALWAYS TOLD THE RESEARCHERS THAT BIOCHEMICAL WARFARE WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA.
  108.
  109. The man/creature seemed to be in a furious pain, shaking and tearing at the chains that bound him. Being mutated into such a hideous abomination could not have been a most pleasant experience, nor a painless one. Who knew how long the beast was trapped within this cold, dark room. .
  110.
  111. "Verona? Hm." Magne pursed her lips, tilting her head to one side. "Nothing I've not seen before, half-demon. Could be a useful research sample though, thank you for your donation to the Factory!"
  112.
  113. She was still illegally chirpy. Any positive she could see? She'd jump at. Whatever those shadows had done to her was certainly something bizarre and otherworldy.
  114.
  115. Regardless, once it pulled itself from the wall and began to rush her, Magne once again drew the Flowing Arno and prepared her assault!
  116.
  117. "Berserking isn't very nice, you know!"
  118.
  119. The light mines that she'd planted before rushed through into this new room and rose up from the ground in waves, aiming to blind the berserker just before the fight started!
  120. (Magne Kriemhild)
  121. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  122.
  123. [23:03] What was this awful thing? Magne's plan succeeded but it'd end up revealing quite the dreadful sight. She stayed close to her team, her reservations returning now that the previous issue was resolved.
  124.
  125. Then, the mention of the Verona Virus was made. Then and there, the General would finally remove herself from her walls. There was something here that got her attention. Enough so that she would seem more than willing to face off with this beast now.
  126.
  127. "Geta sample, Magne. Could be useful to handle those Occultists pestering us."
  128.
  129. This time, both sword and revolver were drawn, ready to take on this massive monstrosity and put it out of its misery.
  130. (Alya Kriemhild)
  131. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  132.
  133. [23:04] "Well that was fucked up from the point of medicine. Less improvement and more degeneration on the body." And that was all he was going to get out before he put his rage back in that wonderful place where it would work for him.
  134.
  135.
  136. Arthur took a second as he kicked up his sword well this was going to be a mess from whatever that thing was he was going to need to kill it. Flipping his sword around as he looked at the creature, well once again his reason to kill that demon was growing and he was going to be damage sure it got done before he left the building sending his mana down his arm towards the blade as he increased the vibrations in the metal. Cracking his neck as he looked at the thing his wings spreading out behind him as he let the wind catch on his feather as he jumped towards the thing.
  137.
  138.
  139. (Arthur)
  140. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  141.
  142. [23:04] Magne Kriemhild exclaims, "I'll get a sample, and we can take the whole body back with us if we don't chop it up TOO badly!"
  143. [23:04] Rhoynish Experiment says, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
  144. [23:04] Once the doors opened, the Rhoynur took a few steps back. The sounds of crackling were followed by a grim sight, one that brought the reavers heart to sink into the depths of something else entirely.
  145.
  146. A golden hue fixated, trembling from immense overflow of emotions taking over his mind. "Y-Y-..... Ya bastard!" Reaching out without a moments hesitation.
  147.
  148. The mans magic flourished through the symbolic connection harnessed into his metaphysical magics.
  149.
  150. Staring down the sight of what was once a brother. A rarity amidst the savage lands. To what drove such ends into pushing the man into the extremes of what they were now?
  151.
  152. He couldn't imagine it, tortured inside were they not?
  153.
  154. A burning passion invoked inside him, cloak fluttering against the batting magics, cast out like a mist surrounding his towering frame like a curtain. A tight fist unleashed the sight of spiritual awareness.
  155.
  156. Looking past the surface, into the spirits expression. Was it woven in pain, in suffering? As much as he tried to focus, the inferno in him took control. Blanketing away the safety net.
  157.
  158. For now?
  159.
  160. He rushed forward with reckless ambition. "I'll sav' ya! Ya'll see, Njorun soon! Brotha!"
  161. (Basten)
  162. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  163.
  164. [23:04] Arthur says, "I dont promise da said i was gonna raze the place meant that "
  165. [23:05] Jin's hues would widen now. The scales, the taint... It all made sense now.
  166.
  167. "Oh gods...."
  168.
  169. Jin was infected with a strain of the Verona Virus. With the door creaking open, Jin could only prepare for the worst. As the behemoth of a man was revealed behind the door. It would win a silent curse from underneath Jin's breath.
  170.
  171. Just seeing those wounds, made the doctor's heart heavy. He was too far gone to save now. The Sun Tsao's Reach in drawn, raising up to the direction of the berserking rhoyneur.
  172.
  173. "I'm sorry friend..."
  174.
  175. She desperately wanted to call her medical team in to save him at least. But looks like that wouldn't be happening.
  176. (Jin Kriemhild)
  177. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  178.
  179. [23:10] The Rhoynish Experiment screams in agony, sprouting muscly appendages and teeth all over it's already scarred body.
  180.
  181. "MORE BLOOD. MORE GORE. MORE LIVES TO THE MASTER."
  182. (Rhoynish Experiment)
  183. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  184.
  185. [23:10] Basten says, ".... Mas'ta... Wha'd dey do ta ya..."
  186. [23:11] Magne shuddered as she leapt over a bolt of bone sent flying straight towards her. This thing was truly insane! The pain he'd put this creature through..
  187. (Magne Kriemhild)
  188. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  189.
  190. [23:16] Basten says, "I expect nut'in less from a Rhoynur..."
  191. [23:16] Magne Kriemhild says, "Aye. ."
  192. [23:16] Rhoynish Experiment says, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
  193. [23:16] Basten says, "Ain't fuck'in easy ta kill..."
  194. [23:17] Magne Kriemhild says, "Wish we didn't have to."
  195. [23:17] Magne Kriemhild says, "But, I think at this point it'd be a mercy."
  196. [23:17] Basten says, "He'll be betta off wit' Njorun."
  197. [23:17] Basten says, "Ain't needa worry..."
  198. [23:17] Arthur says, "Ethics later killing now"
  199. [23:21] {Won Restrained RPB against Rhoynish Experiment}
  200. [23:29] ** Rhoynish Experiment has inflicted an injury upon Arthur. ("Blood Affliction: Direct Exposure", "Arthur is stabbed through the chest by a bone spear; not enough to do much damage, but enough to inflict Arthur with a healthy dose of the Collector's haphazard recreation of the Verona Virus. A mouth is now at the center of each of Arthur's palms, each with razor-sharp teeth. It is, strangely enough, controlled by Arthur. Removal involves excising the cysts of the Virus that have traveled in his hands, reverting the mutation.", "Temporary", "Duration: Medium (4 days)") **
  201. [23:30] The Rhoynur had lost himself within the spirit of battle, colliding against the experiment without mercy. Enduring the brute of the force thrown his way without care. For every time his body slammed against the ground, or flung towards the wall.
  202.
  203. An unyielding force brought his towering frame to rise. Seething with temporal magics working at rapid paces to recover what they could in the heat of combat.
  204.
  205. "F-Fuck!"
  206.
  207. Words thought to himself, yet shouted aloud. For ever battle he had with his people, never once did he enjoy them. Despite the differences instilled in their separate upbringings.
  208.
  209. The man had been learning to see past it all, in hopes of a brighter tomorrow for his people.
  210.
  211. And so?
  212.
  213. As the group raged on against the massive figure. Somehow managing to trudge through the tortious pains. His spiritual gaze flickered to life once more, spilling out the socket, dissipating not, but moments after escaping his form.
  214.
  215. Noticing the masked expression, both the pleasures of wanton desires filling the void of sanity. Blood, power, strength... War.
  216.
  217. They were, but the only things managing to keep the experiment thriving. But with the wear & tear beginning to show. Arthur possibly nearrowly escaping harm.
  218.
  219. The environment around him grew deathly silent.
  220.
  221. Left to observe it all as it occurred. Moments in time flashing before him. Moments not yet to occur. A still image retaining itself now in his mind.
  222.
  223. "Alya!"
  224.
  225. The Rhoynus voice called out, gathering temporal magics along the length of his metallic arm. Firing off a lazor without hesitation. Pirecing the creatures flesh in the midst of combat. Surely an opening for the woman to finish off the experiment.
  226.
  227. It was what he saw after-all.
  228.
  229. Left now only with the strength in him to kneel. And pray...
  230. (Basten)
  231. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  232.
  233. [23:43] This was truly a revolting experience. One that would normally trigger Alya's strange affliction. And yet, here she was, keen on gathering data on this thing. Strangely, though, there was no occultism in this by-product of Verona. Interesting detail, one MAGNE better make note of.
  234.
  235. The General wasn't going to be taking samples. No, she was here to take care of the immediate issue. And it seemed as though this monstrosity was NOT going down easily. It'd even repulse most of the team, leaving Basten and Alya alone to handle this beast as other recuperated.
  236.
  237. Luckily, the group would manage to gather their bearings, but before that, Alya would be blindsided by the beast's strange versatility! Impaled by a spear of blood, she'd have her armour compromise and an infection was inevitable.
  238.
  239. But there was no time to worry about this. No, Alya was a soldier first and foremost and did not relent despite serious injury. Basten, the Rhoynish man forced to fight his brethren in such a manner, was the one to give Alya the opening she needed.
  240.
  241. That cyst behind her face, mostly concealed behind bulging veins and skin discolouration from the affliction, caused her quite a bite of pain. The Drakan grimaced, weird gurgling noises emitted from her mutating being plagued her focus, but she went for it anyway.
  242.
  243. Her Mythril blade planted itself into the monster's chest, barely able to cut through the ribcage, and with her remaining, pain-enhanced might, would manage to sever open the cavity just enough to expose the poor monster's heart. Before it could move or regenerate, her Magnum would prove to be more than just for show here, as she aimed it right at the heart.
  244.
  245. "Hope your next life ends up more merciful than this one."
  246.
  247. With that, she'd shoot. The organ would inevitably explode from the point-blank shot.
  248.
  249. A victorious and blood-covered Alya emerged. Her left eye now completely black while the other was quickly reaching the same fate as its neighbour. Quite the horrifying thing to see, combined with her paler skin.
  250. (Alya Kriemhild)
  251. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  252.
  253. [23:44] Arthur took a second as he zigged then zagged until the spear flew right into his chest pinning him to the wall by the time he was able to pull it out it seemed that Basten was able knock the thing off balance and Alya was able to kill it that was good. Taking a bit as he leaned on his sword something felt off if he was behind honest, he was hot to hot for it to be normal. Grabbing his side where the spear flew in as he looked at his body and taking a second as it just sit on his hand as he tried to catch himself.
  254.
  255. Then there was pain it was the pain that was running through his hand as he had to bite down on his lip to stop himself from screaming at the pain ran through his hands it was like his blood was burning the area. He need to focus he needed to breathe he needed to do something but all that died in his mind as he looked at his hands and watched them rip open as a mouth a hole of teeth formed on his hands. There something that feel odd know that he now had a mouth on hishands and it funneled that straight into the rage part of his mind. Even if he was able to control as they closed as he picked up his sword he could still feel them mashing at his mind, they wanted to eat they where hunger.....
  256.
  257. "Well this is something but I can deal with it later, everyone else still alive?"
  258. (Arthur)
  259. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  260.
  261. [23:50] The battle was brutal. The giant seemed to not feel pain as wind, metal, flame, and light pierced and seared it's flesh. As the creature flailed in it's berserking state, Jin would focus heat into her circuits, overloading them once again to that Azure blue tint as she focused all of the flames to a single point.
  262.
  263. On the palm of her hand, a blast of flames would emit. Wildly first, then suddenly? The glow would seem to focus entirely on the woman's arms. The flames soon narrowing as she continuously increased the amount of output into the small of her hand. A high pitched whine would be heard as a white color emitted at the base of her palms. The Jetstream now blasting directly onto the infected monster.
  264.
  265. "This guy, just won't let up!"
  266.
  267. She'd state through gritted teeth. Eyes widen however as a crimson blur is barely registered, soon landing with a dull
  268.
  269. THUD
  270.
  271. As it embedded itself in the woman's lower stomach. Jin would fall to the ground, grasping the contaminated blood bullet.
  272.
  273. Alright, puncture wound.... Pull it out... Quickly...
  274.
  275. "Ghhk… GHHAA~!!!"
  276.
  277. The woman would tear out the crystal, staining blood on the ground. Soon, cauterizing it as soon as she could. Arcanium hues would shift upward to the sound of a gunshot, spotting the giant falling to the floor.
  278.
  279.
  280.
  281. (Jin Kriemhild)
  282. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  283.
  284. [23:50] {NARRATION} The beast of a former rhoynishman was shot, stabbed, and crushed by the quintet, yet his mass continued to reform. Blood coagulated, bone broke itself to be mended, and muscles grew. But in the end, Basten and Alya's collaberative attack severed the heat-producing organ in the chest of the beast, stopping it's regeneration as it began to melt.
  285.
  286. "T-T-Thank, you."
  287.
  288. The organ drops, continuing to pump blood and produce heat. The source of the manufactured Verona had ceased, and it seemed safe to handle.
  289.
  290. "Well! You did it. Break that skull, and come up to meet me! I'm -so- excited."
  291.
  292. The shield was dropped, and the way was open to the upper floor.
  293. [23:51] Arthur says, "I am killing that fucker "
