- >You’re just finishing the dishes when you here a knock at the door.
- >Rainbow must be here.
- >Throwing the towel on the counter, you make your way to the front door.
- >”Took you long enough,” Rainbow says as you open the door.
- >You notice a little DVD box in her grip.
- “You brought it?”
- >”Hell yah I did!” she says, a huge smile on her face.
- >You hold out a fist and she knocks her hoof against it.
- “Sweet, we’ll have to check it out after the bar.”
- >You start to walk towards the living room, holding your hands out.
- “Toss it here.”
- >She lobs it across the room for a 10 point landing in your hands.
- >”Nice one Anon!”
- >You drop it off in the living room and head out with Rainbow to the bar.
- >”Pfff, I didn’t know such losers hung out at this bar!” Dash screams at the stallion in front of her.
- “Dash just calm down a little,” you move to get ready to restrain her.
- >”This loser slapped my flank! I’m gonna kill him!” she screams as she starts to lunge towards the stallion.
- >Fortunately, you’re there to hold her back before it gets even more serious.
- >At this point, the three of you have the entire bars attention.
- >”Man, you’re a crazy mare! What’s your issue?” he shouts at her from behind you.
- “Dash, maybe we should just calm down before this gets worse,” you plead with her, keeping her restrained from attacking this guy.
- >”Yah lady, listen to your freaky boyfriend!”
- >Oh fuck, this guy is fucked now.
- >You start to loosen your grip on Dash.
- >”You gonna stand for that Anon? Don’t you have any balls?” she asks, still straining against you.
- >Don’t let that shit get to you Anonymous.
- >”Just hurry up and get your psycho bitch of a girlfriend out of here freak,” the stallion says with a sneer.
- >And now it’s over.
- >You let your grip go and Rainbow flies at him.
- >Another of his friends comes up to try and get a few swings in on Rainbow, but you jump into the fray to defend her.
- >Next thing you know, you and Rainbow are on your asses outside the bar.
- >”If you’re going to come here, don’t try and pull that shit!” the bouncer yells at the two of you.
- >Dash yells something that you can't really make out, something about sleazy ponies and idiots.
- >You’re really not sure how far gone either of you are at this point, but if the drunken awkward bar fight is any indication, it’s pretty gone.
- >”Yah, well I don’t want to see you two around here again!” the bartender shouts behind the bouncer.
- >The two of you stumble your way home where you bring out a few beers for the two of you.
- >”Hell yah! That bar was lame as hell anyways!” dash yells, excited to continue the party.
- >You toss the DVD in and the two of you shout and scream as the action and explosions happen onscreen.
- >As the credits begin to roll, you notice that Dash has gotten a little quieter.
- >You wave your hand in front of her face to check if she’s out cold and she slaps it away with a hoof.
- >What's up with the quick turn?
- “Y-You ok Dash?” you stammer out.
- >She doesn't reply and you bend over to look her in the eyes.
- >There’s tears streaming down her cheeks.
- “R-Rainbow?”
- >”He’s so stupid” she says, stuttering.
- >Well, this is out of nowhere.
- >She turns, her body colliding into yours, almost knocking you over.
- >”Anon, why can’t I hate him?” she whispers quietly into you.
- >Here we go. Even though you’re pretty drunk, you know what’s coming next.
- “Hate who?” you ask with a sigh, already knowing the answer.
- >But this is what you have to do, at least until she’s done with him.
- >”Soarin is such an idiot sometimes…”
- “What did he do this time?”
- >She wipes her face on your shirt, cleaning most of the tears off.
- >”H-He got angry about me and you hanging out tonight,” she says softly.
- >”He accused me of cheating on him with you.”
- >God damn it, how much you wish that were true.
- >You run your hand through her mane, trying to comfort her.
- >”He called me a lot of stuff. Yelled at me about how I can’t hang out with you anymore.”
- “Fuck him if he thinks I’ll just stop hanging out with my bro,” you say, with anger and malice in your words.
- >Didn't seem she caught the anger though.
- >”W-What should I do?”
- >She pulls back and looks you in the eyes, hers red and puffy.
- “Why are you still with him if he does stupid stuff like that.”
- >”I-I dunno. There’s lots of reasons.”
- “Name some.”
- >”Well, he’s strong willed, almost as strong as me. And he…”
- >You start to tone her out. This is the shit you don’t want to hear about. How perfect he really is for her and how much she loves him.
- >Hearing all of that makes your heart ache and your mind seethe in anger that Dash isn't with you instead. That you don’t get her love.
- >You feel her rubbing her face in your shirt again.
- >”Thanks for listening Anon. It’s just really nice to talk through this a little,” she says with a small smile on her face.
- “No problem Dash. Remember I’m always here for you.”
- >You really hope she understands how seriously you mean that you’ll always be there for her.
- >”You’re the best bro I could ever have Anon.”
- >She gets up off the couch and does a little stretch.
- >”Well, I should be getting home, it’s pretty late and I gotta get up a little earlier tomorrow.”
- “Lemmie walk you home, not sure you’ll even be able to find it.”
- >She lets out a light giggle.
- >”Ok…”
- >With that, the two of you are off.
- >The entire walk, Rainbow is leaning on you for support.
- >In your mind, this couldn't be any better. What’s wrong with pretending she really wants to lean on you?
- >The warmth you feel from her spreads around your whole body.
- >You try to lock in on that feeling and hold on to it for the rest of the night until you’re home and falling asleep in your bed.
- >A few days pass and you find yourself at Twilight's in the same boring routine that you always are, you telling her about the weekend and asking about hers.
- >”Wait, so Rainbow Dash can’t spend time with you because Soarin doesn't want her to?” she asks, her eyes just peeking over the paper at you.
- “Yah! That’s so crazy, isn't it? He totally doesn't deserve her.”
- >”Then who does?”
- “Me, of course,” You beam a smile at her.
- >She rolls her eyes and goes back to reading the paper.
- >”So you really like going out to the bars with Dash almost every night?”
- “Heck yah! It’s so much fun, never going to know what’s going to happen.”
- >She lets out a small humph at this and goes silent again.
- >Trying to break the odd tension, you start to talk again.
- “So, what are we working on today?”
- >”Well, Celestia and the other researchers want me to look into something having to do with spell residue.”
- >Nodding to show you’re listening, you focus on what she’s saying making sure you get it strait.
- >Realizing you’re actually focusing on what she’s saying, she continues.
- >”They think there’s a residue that all spells leave telling the pony who knows what to look for what spell has been used on that object, both animate and inanimate.”
- “That’s pretty cool, maybe it could tell us how I got here.”
- >She sets the paper down quickly, an excited look on her face.
- >”I didn't even think about it! We have to get started right away! It would be so fascinating to find out how you got here!”
- >She grabs you with her telekinetic power and pulls you toward the basement door.
- >There’s no way you’re getting out of her grab.
- “Whoa there, need to go that quickly?”
- >She’s almost galloping down the stairs.
- >”Think of all the things we could do if we found out how you were teleported here. It could mean so much for the unicorns research on magic,” she says as the tubes and beakers beginning to fly all around.
- >In her whirlwind of action all day, Twilight didn’t even realize the time and the two of you skip lunch, you not saying anything to get in the way of her work.
- >One thing you really don’t want to do is stay too late.
- “Hey Twilight, I think it’s about time we should head upstairs.”
- >She looks over at the clock on the wall, placing all the items floating in the air down as you set the two things you have down as well.
- >”Oh my gosh Anonymous! I didn’t even notice what time it was. I’m so so sorry!” she says flustered.
- >The two of you clean up and head upstairs.
- >”Hey Anon, did you maybe want to stick around and watch some TV or something?” she asks sheepishly. “I could make some dinner for the two of us since I kind of owe you for skipping lunch.”
- “Yah, sure. That’s fine.” You say, sliding onto the couch.
- >After diner, the two of you just chill out and watch some documentary together.
- >”Hey Anon, I was thinking…” Twilight says as she turns her attention from the TV to you.
- “Hmmm?”
- >”Did you maybe want to go to the bar with me on Saturday?” She asks through a shaky voice.
- >This catches your attention.
- “You? Go to a bar?” you stifle a laugh.
- >”What are you laughing at?” she asks, glaring at you.
- “Dunno, just don’t really see you as the type to go to a bar. You seem like you’d fit in at a club a little more.”
- >She looks at you a little confused.
- >“Don’t you normally go to the bar? You don’t have to switch where you go just for me,” she says, a light blush creeping up on her face.
- “Nah, it’s no problem. You’d probably have more fun at a club anyways. I don’t mind switching it up every once in a while.”
- >She smiles at you, “I can’t wait, it’s going to be so fun!” she says giddily.
- “Yah. We could even invite the other girls to go too! I’m sure they’d be up for it.”
- >”Oh sure…” her voice a ton a little less elated, her face drooping slightly.
- “It’ll be awesome and we really haven’t done anything as a group in a while. Plus, Dashie’ll be there so it’ll be great no matter what.”
- >She tries to keep a happy attitude at hearing that, but you can tell something is off. Oh well.
- >The two of you spend the rest of the night talking to each other about where you’re going to go.
- >The next couple of days go by in a whirlwind as the two of you work hard on finding out info on tracing magic.
- >Finally, the weekend!
- >You find yourself at the club with the girls in your own little booth. As usual, Rarity is dressed up, but something that caught you by surprise is the fact that Twilight is as well.
- >Really odd that she’s been acting so strangely lately. Whatever, tonight isn’t about worrying, it’s about fun!
- >Best thing right now is that you’re sitting next to Dash and Pinkie, party extraordinaire.
- “Hell yah! Twilight actually came out with us! Drinks on me to celebrate!” you say, scooting your way out of the booth.
- >You run up and grab two bottles of Applejack Daniels from the bartender along with some glasses.
- >Returning, it seems like the girls shuffled the seating arrangements a little, an open spot between Twilight and Rainbow instead of Pinkie.
- >Oh well, whatever.
- >You slide back in after setting the glasses and bottles on the table.
- “Who’s ready for an awesome night!” you say, starting to pour out some shots.
- >”Oh oh, me me me!” Pinkie shouts jumping up and down in place.
- >You shoot the shit with the ponies for a while, finding out what they’ve been up to for the past couple of weeks while lining up shot after shot for everyone, yourself included.
- >After a little while, the music volume is turned up and you can see Pinkie fidgeting in her seat.
- >She suddenly bursts up.
- >”Let’s get our groove thang on!” she shouts, dashing towards the dance floor.
- >You, Dash, Applejack, and Twilight just shake your heads and get up and head towards the dance floor, Fluttershy stay back and Rarity tending to her as per the usual.
- >You hear Pinkie Pie yelling from the crowded dance floor, flying everywhere.
- >”Buck yah!”
- >A song changes over and Dash disappears somewhere in the crowd.
- >You try to look for her but can’t see her and suddenly feel something bumping against you and hear someone yelling.
- >”Oh man Anon! This is an awesome song!”
- >Wow, you don’t think you’ve ever seen Twilight like this.
- >Her face has a blush on it and she’s just going wild, her hooves shaking all over and slowly pushing the two of you into the crowd.
- >The liquor starts to hit you as you feel a little lighter and warmer, kinda not caring as you start to do whatever it is you call dancing.
- >At points, the ponies are so pack together that you and Twilight are practically grinding on each other, but you could care less.
- >You could swear Twilight was pushing into you, but it’s just got to be the liquor.
- >Plus it really is pretty packed.
- >After a few songs, you squeeze your way out and go to sit down for a minute at the table, both Fluttershy and Rarity there to keep you company.
- >You pour yourself another drink.
- >”So Anonymous, having fun out there with Twilight?” Rarity asks, beaming a smile at you.
- “Didn’t know she was such a party mare. She’s out there shaking it harder than Pinkie.”
- >”Oh! Uhm, yah, Twilight can sure go crazy when she lets loose,” Fluttershy adds meekly.
- >”Fluttershy was just telling me she thought the dress I made for Twilight was really pretty,” Rarity says, a small pause before continuing.
- >”What do you think Anonymous, isn’t it nice?” she leans in waiting for an answer.
- >You swirl your drink in your hands and look out to the dancefloor, stifling a laugh when you see how Twilight is dancing.
- “Yah, I suppose it’s pretty cute. Why’s she wearing it though? Looking to get some stallions attention tonight?” you take another sip of the whiskey.
- >”Well, I guess you could say that,” Rarity giggles.
- >You look over at Fluttershy and see her blushing slightly.
- >Rarity reaches over and snatches the drink out of your hand, pushing you out of the booth.
- >”Hurry up and get back out there and have some fun Anonymous, it looks like Twilight could use a dance partner.”
- >The true meanings of what she was going for go right over your head and you just equate it to Twilight needing a ‘wingman’.
- “Yah, yah. If you see Rainbow, point her in our direction.” You shout as you walk away from the table.
- >You head back out on the dance floor once again, shaking your ass off with Twilight.
- >Time passes by quickly and you find yourself on the way out of the club and towards Twilights for an ‘after party’.
- >Really, the after party just consists of you, Rainbow, Twilight, and Pinkie, the other two heading home.
- >You're all seated around Twilight's kitchen table, playing some card game beyond horribly wrong, drinking even more of whatever Twilight has around her house.
- >”Yo Anon, me an Pinks are gonna get outa here.” Rainbow says, laying her hand down on the table. “Gotta get up a little early tomorrow for some practicing,” she says through slurs.
- >”Yay! Dashy, you gotta show me some sweet moves that you’re developing. I wanna see em’,” Pinkie leans on Dash in a sort of hug.
- >Twilight is just hunched over the table, staring blankly at the wood.
- “I’ll walk you two home,” you say hoping to just spend more time with Rainbow.
- >When you try to get up, you feel a force keeping you seated and see a glowing purple aura around you.
- >”Doesn’t look like Twi wants you to leave Anon.” Rainbow says laughing.
- >You try to break through it and can’t.
- “What’s up Twi?” you ask.
- >No reply.
- >”Well, whatever. We’re gonna get outa here. See you guys tomorrow.” Dash says as she gets up and helps lead Pinkie home.
- >The aura is still around you.
- “What’s up Twi, why you holding me here?” you ask again.
- >She still doesn’t say anything.
- >You relax and as soon as you do, you feel the pressure lift off of you and you look at her.
- >She’s looking right at you, staring you in the eyes. There are a few strands of her mane running in front of her face.
- >”A-Anon, I think I…” she looks up at you.
- “Think you what?” you sit there, waiting for an answer.
- >”I think I’m going to...” a hoof raises to her mouth and you understand instantly.
- >You grab her up into a cradling position and run her to the bathroom, moving her into a comfortable position at the toilet.
- >She leans over and just begins to spew.
- >You reach in and pull all the hair that might get hit out of the way and rub her back as she just sits there for a little, occasionally puking into the toilet.
- >After you think she’s all done, you move your hand from her back.
- >”T-Thanks Anon…” she looks at you trying to smile.
- >You can’t help but laugh a little at how cute she looks right now.
- >Oh well. You grab a washcloth, wetting it, and bringing it to her face to help clean up any little remnants of sick.
- “Feeling a little better now?” you stroke her mane.
- >She just nods.
- >You get up, stumbling a little. You really didn’t really notice how drunk you were.
- >You can feel yourself getting really groggy.
- “Hey Twi, mind if I crash here tonight?”
- >”Of course I don’t mind,” She nods at you.
- “Ok, I’ll just go crash on the couch then. See you in the morning.”
- >On your way downstairs, you grab a blanket from the closet and as soon as you hit the couch and cover up, you fall asleep.
- >The morning comes, the light shining in your face and making you wake up.
- >Your chest feels a little heavy and you look down to see Twilight sprawled out on top of you.
- >You can see her body move up and down in a rhythm as she breaths in and out.
- >Looking at her face, there’s a small smile across it. Almost makes you want to ‘Daw’.
- >Why is she sleeping on top of you?
- >Whatever, doesn’t matter. You close your eyes and fall back asleep just wanting a little more rest.
