  3. Section 1 (Creation of the SOP TF)
  4. 1. The creation of the "Synthetic Opioid Trafficking Task Force" Short form (SOP TF)
  5. 2. The SOP TF will report to Minister of Justice, and the Ministry of Justice.
  6. 3. The SOP TF will be granted $10 Million for their initial operation budget, with an additional $2 Million in reserve funding available for the first year.
  7. 4. The SOP TF will receive an annual budget of $5 Million each year after the first, with an opportunity for additional funding at the request of the the task force.

  10. Section 2 (Task Force Mandate)
  11. 1. Investigate synthetic opioid trafficking
  12. 2. Investigate synthetic opioid manufacturers, both foreign and domestic
  13. 3. Recommend sanctions and other legal action against traffickers and manufacturers to the Ministry of Justice
  14. 4. Publicly identify traffickers and manufacturers under the advisement of the Ministry of Justice
  15. 5. Deny visas in Canada to known traffickers and manufacturers
  16. 6. Deny access to Canadian Banks to known traffickers and manufacturers
  17. 7. Work in conjuction with Canadian Customs and Border Safety Agency, and other Canadian law enforcement agencies
  18. 8. Offer cooperation to other foreign agencies with similar goals and objectives

  20. Section 3 (Reinforcing Local Law Enforcement)
  21. 1. The creation of the Opioid Reinforcement Fun,d short form (ORF)
  22. 2. The ORF will be given $5 Million annually
  23. 3. The ORF will be distributed to local law enforcement agencies where the Opioid crisis is more prevalent, as determined by the Ministry of Justice.

  25. Section 4 (Reinforcing Local Health Services)
  26. 1. The Creation of the Opioid Health Response Fund, short form (OHRF)
  27. 2. The OHRF will be given $5 Million annually
  28. 3. The OHRF will be distributed to local health services where the Opioid crisis is more prevalent, as determined by the Ministry of Health.
