  1. Hello again. After taking off last week after I didn’t feel as though I had an update, I’m once again in the mood to make another pastebin about different things.
  2.
  3. ===Streaming Plans===
  4.
  5. In my last pastebin (06/05), I said I wasn’t going to stream at all until the 1545% race happened. For the race, each person on my team will be streaming to their own channel, with it also being rebroadcasted on another Twitch website. At the time of writing this, I have no idea what the channel name is, and I will add it whenever I get that information.
  6.
  7. However, not even a day later, I streamed. Then, I streamed two more times this past week. I seriously have trouble committing to anything I write down in my pastebins it seems. I promise, I actually do adhere to things outside of this pastebin, despite my actions being to the contrary.
  8.
  9. This time though, I figured I would change it up a bit in terms of telling you what I’m going to do. Instead of saying ‘Hey, I’m not going to stream this time because of X’, maybe it would just be easier to say everything is just kind of open in terms of what I want to do. It’s what I should’ve done from the start, but I always like to post something a bit more concrete so the people that do enjoy watching me know whether or not to look for my stream going live.
  10.
  11. I will say this, however. Recently, I’ve really kick-drived my reading/writing to a whole new level. I’ve read through 3 books in the past month, and at least 15k words written in the past two weeks. I’m really not sure where this motivation has come from, but I feel like reading has opened my mind up to more writing. Before, I would just write whenever I had an idea that day. Sometimes that would be two days after my last session. Sometimes, it would be 10 days. Lately it’s been every day. And massive chunks at a time, not just simple chapters like I was doing before.
  12.
  13. Obviously, there will be people who say they read a book a week, write more than that, etc. But, as a kid who finished high school with a B-, C-, D+, & D- in English all four years and still graduated with a 3.5 GPA, this change towards more reading and such is a big change for me. Especially since I hadn’t read a book outside of school required reading since I was at least 16 (I’m 30 atm).
  14.
  15. Even when I haven’t been reading or writing, catching up on all of my favorite e-sports has been keeping me busy for the rest of the time. I make no secret that I like to watch Dota 2, and the recent tournaments (along with The International & its qualifiers coming up), have entertained me and kept me extremely busy. Sometimes I spend 5-6 hours a day watching these tournaments, while doing other things during the commercials.
  16.
  17. So, after rambling forever, where does that leave my speedrunning? I’d be lying to you if I said I knew the complete answer to that question. I have been practicing at least every other day, with sometimes doing it every day. It’s not practice that I feel like I should be doing, but at least it is something. I’ve realized that I am the type of speedrunner who doesn’t like to grind one particular game/category for very long, and would rather just be decent/upper tier at many games as opposed to being great at just one game.
  18.
  19. With all of that being said, I’m really not sure where my life will take me from here. It has changed a lot over the 15 months or so, with me making a big leap of faith at the beginning of the year that has paid off huge dividends for my mental health. The only thing I can say for certain is you will catch me when you catch me on Twitch. I’ll be around in chats and stuff, and stream when I feel the time is right and I don’t have much else going on that I want to be doing. This will likely change when I start learning 102%, as learning a new game/category is always a fun experience for me.
  20.
  21. ===Speedrun Plans===
  22.
  23. Like I said earlier in the pastebin, I have been practicing Banjo-Tooie 100% for the 1545% race on July 14-16. As it currently stands, my run will be on Sunday, July 16th @ 4:30 p.m. CDT (5:15 Eastern, 2:15 Pacific). My main goal before this race is to stay competitive with my PB, and at least get a sub 4:35. I would like to get sub 4:30 in this category, but I won’t be upset if I don’t get that before the race.
  24.
  25. After the 1545%, I stated in my last pastebin that I wanted to go to DKC2 102% if I met my goal for DKC3 Any%. Since I did meet my goal, that is the next game I plan on going to. However, before I do 102% and get that muscle memory, I would like to grind out at least a 41 in Any% with the newish wrong warp found in Krackhead Klamber a few months ago. After I do that (which I feel won’t take me too terribly long), I plan on learning 102%.
  26.
  27. I recently purchased a SD2SNES, which is a flashcart for those who don’t know. This will allow me to play versions of games I wouldn’t otherwise have access too without buying multiple carts, such a DKC2 1.0-J and even DKC3 J. With the flashcart, I also plan to learn 101% for DKC at some point, and eventually do a few 306% runs/races.
  28.
  29. I haven’t heard anything about any update for the N64 Rareware 301% race that we usually do in December/January, but if there is any update about that, I will likely tweet about it or talk about it on my occasional streams.
  30.
  31. ===Twitter===
  32.
  33. Mostly, I don’t post on my Twitter, unless I’m favoriting a tweet or replying to someone. Rarely do I actually tweet anything out myself. However, I plan on tweeting about myself going live on my stream from now on. I’m going to put a reminder on my gaming consoles when I turn them on, so that I will remember to do this whenever I go live. Hopefully, that will work.
  34.
  35. That’s all I have for this week. Thank you for reading.
