One last play date- Wendy and Alice audition

Dealing with the War that was going on across the globe, including England was very tough, especially if one is living with a single parent, who is a solider in the war and a nanny. There were two sisters names Wendy and Alice Driscoll who lived in a mansion which was luckily not close from the battlefield at all. Their father gave Wendy and Alice one Pokemon each to play with and to get distracted from the distress regarding the war by taking good care of them as though they wee pets. Alice had an Eevee, which was fun to play with and Wendy had a Clefairy, which could help her and her sister, Alice fall asleep whenever she sings to sooth their troubled thoughts.

This day and only day was the last time the two sisters were able to see their father since he had to go fight. "Father, when will you return home?" Wendy asked, while petting Eevee. He looked down at her with a sad look on his face and gave out a small nod. He cupped the young girl's face and sighed; a long sighs. "I do not know dear. But, you and have your Pokemon mother and I got you and Alice to play with when I'm not around." Wendy did look up at him and with a sad sigh as her Clefairy walked towards her.

"Clefairy?" The Pokemon spoke, as thought it was trying to say, "What's wrong?" Wendy looked down towards the Pokemon and leaned down towards it. "Well, father's going to war again. He has to fight." Alice, hearing her older sister, ran up other father, crying. "Please stay with us! We miss you when you're gone!" She sobbed, as she was hugging him. Her father hugged the blonde girl back and sighed, a large sigh. Thinking about his daughter's feelings, he decided to stay home and at least play with the girls and with their Pokemon, just like he always did before he fought against the other countries during the time period.

"Hey girls, I'll play with you, and I promise, that we'll make this memorable!" He said, with a chuckle in his voice. As soon as the girls heard that, they both smiles me and got their Pokemon . "Come Eevee and Clefairy, we're going to play with father!" "Eevee!" "Clefairy!" The two Pokemon cheered as they followed the humans.

As the family got into the backyard, Alice was trying to think of a game for them to play with. "I have an idea, let's play hide and seek!" She suggested. "Splendid idea!" Wendy said, with a tiny nod, and ran up to father. "Count to ten!" Wendy said, with a giggle as she, Alice and the Pokemon began to hide.

As the girls hid, father counted to ten and called, "Ready or not, here I come!" Wendy was hiding in the bushes next to Clefairy and Alice was hiding in the garden, where her Eevee was making some noises. "Hush, you don't want father finding us." Alice whispered with a giggle. Father was continuing to look around until he heard something from the bushes, and even saw a pink ear. He knew that it was Wendy, so, he walked up to her slowly and tapped her shoulder. Wendy looked up to him with a small chuckle and Clefairy jumped up in the air. "Clefairy! Clefairy!" It exclaimed as though it was excited that father found them. "Now, time to find Alice." Father said and Wendy giggled as they started to look for her. Clefairy, sensing a giggle pointed to where Alice and Eevee were.

"Oh, I know where they are!" Father whispered into Wendy's ear as they followed Clefairy to the family garden, where Alice and Eevee were. Wendy tiptoed to Alice and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hello dear sister." Wendy cooed into her ear, and Alice looked up with a small huff. "How did you know where I was?" Alice asked. Wendy looked at her with a smile and pointed at her Clefairy. "My Clefairy sensed on where your Eevee was so, that's how we found you two." Wendy responded with a chuckle. Alice and Eevee walked to Wendy's Clefairy and petted its head. "My, you are quite the smart one." She said, with a chuckle and hugged Wendy's Clefairy.

Suddenly, it was getting dark and it was time for dinner. "Girls, time to eat!" Then nanny called while she was outside, watching everyone having fun. The main menu was while meat with vegetables, and the Pokemon had their usual pokeblock and berries. While eating dinner, Alice looked up to father and sighed. "Don't worry my darling, nanny Pricilla will take care of you. I assure that you will be safe." Father said, and gave her a wink. After dinner, the sisters got into their pajamas and it was time for father to go fight and their bedtime.

Wendy and Alice ran and gave father a hug with tears in their eyes. "Darlings, I promise that I will write letters to the the both of you, checking on how you two are doing. Now, if anything happens to me, Pricilla will raise you two to beautiful young ladies." He said, assuringly, and gave them kisses on their foreheads. Clefairy and Eevee ran up to father as well with worried looks in their eyes as well. "Do not worry, I provided food for you two. Wendy and Alice will take good care of you two. Do not worry, I will be fine." Father said. As soon as he heard sirens, he rushes the girls to go inside the house and immediately drove to the train station. The girls waved to father and went back to their bedroom.

Pricilla looked at the girls and patted their heads. "Promise that father will be alright?" Alice asked, with Eevee snuggling up to her. "I'm sure your father will be fine. I know he's a strong fighter. He fought in the last one. So, if we could go through World War I, we could survive this one." She said, patting Alice's head. When Alice heard that, she looked at Wendy, who was already sleeping with her Clefairy. As Pricilla turned off the candle, Alice fell asleep with Eevee, remembering the afternoon of them playing with father before he left.

For the next couple of weeks, Alice was playing with Eevee until she got a telegram from her father. The letter said that he was doing alright. He did get shot a couple of times by another solider in Germany, but was in good care by a nurse. "Thank goodness!" Alice thought to herself as she was reading the letter. She showed the letter to Wendy. "Glad to hear that father's doing fine!" Wendy exclaimed as she was reading the letter. She promised herself that she will be taking care of Alice and of course, their Pokemon while their father was continuing to fight.

"Come girls, time for lunch!" Pricilla called and the two girls walked into the mansion and during their lunch time, Alice wrote a telegram to father, telling him on how much they, Wendy and Alice missed him and their current state, which is them doing fine, including Eevee and Clefairy. Father and the girls did continue to write letters back and forth, while the war was going on, hoping that father will be alright in the end of this horrible war.
