  1. ??/M/6'1.
  2.
  3. Talen Blackwood was expected to go far in life. Born into a noble family with riches beyond imagination he recieved a primary education many children could only dream of.
  4. However, those great expectations were all turned to dust when his father gambled the family fortune away...
  5.
  6. It didn't take long the family was on the street, with no money and no possessions save for the clothes on their bodies. All that remained of the life Talen had once lead was a diamond ring that he constantly wore in a chain around his neck, out of fear it might fall off.
  7. Furious at his parents for crumbling his expectations and dooming him to a life of poverty, a young Talen Blackwood ran away from the people he loathed more than anything to find fortune on his own.
  8. To keep his identity safe he adopted the pseudonym "Raven", as it matched his pitch black hair and somber expression.
  9. Setting out into a large town with nothing but the clothes on his body, and a diamond ring kept secretly around his neck, proved to be among the hardest things Raven had ever done. He slept wherever he found benches or soft patches of grass and ate what food he could come across.
  10.
  11. Occasionally he found refuge in graveyards, shamelessly stealing the candles lit for the dead or sleeping on the soft moss by their tombstones, most often a combination of the two.
  12. However one night when he was sleeping soundly on the grave of Ceasar Blackwood, his own great-grandfather, He was discovered.
  13. But luck shone on him as the old groundskeeper found the young man sleeping on a grave that belonged to a nobleman to be quite a pitiful sight and instead of shooing him away, he offered the boy who called himself Raven a job as a gravedigger, which he happily took.
  14.
  15. From then on out his life was less of a struggle for survival and more of an everlasting reminder of how he would never live out his dreams. Raven never once used the name of Talen Blackwood again, nor did he shed a tear when the corpses of what remained of his family were to be buried in unnamed graves. However, he constantly sought after a way to return to that life in luxury he was cruelly forced out of. Alas, gravediggers are not known for their fortunes, but as it happened lady luck had one more surprise in store for young Raven when he came across one of his workmates unearthing a coffin that had recently been buried. It was then he was introduced to the strange and morbid profession of harvesting bodyparts and selling them for quite a bit of money.
  16.
  17. But even though his savings increased by the body he unearthed, albeit not as fast as he would have liked it, his appearance stayed unkempt. Always wearing the same wide-brimmed hat and patched up coat as his fellow gravediggers, with the diamond ring on a chain hung around his neck, out of sight. His long black hair and pale eyes creating an image that was most commonly described by neighbourhood children as "creepy"...
