Pokémon Polished Crystal FAQ

This is a difficulty/revamp ROM hack of Pokémon Crystal, akin to SacredGold/StormSilver for HG/SS. It adds loads of features from newer games such as natures, abilities and the physical/special split, all of which are optional if you prefer the experience without it. There are new Pokémon as well, up to the Hisui region. It also adds tonnes of QoL changes like HMs not needing to be taught, instant text and holding a button to advance it, running shoes, faster HP bars, etc. I am playing the 9bit build which allows for extra Pokémon to be added without replacing older ones.

I am using Totodile as my main for the majority of the game, and then switch to Mewtwo after Blue. This game adds some more trainers and areas and therefore I expect even with the QoL changes that it'll be longer than vanilla Crystal. Nobody has done a run of this and therefore there is no current WR. As I am playing a beta, even if I do complete a run, it won't be added to speedrun.com until the next full release of the game.
