Deo talks with Poseidon

It's been quiet .

No commotion has been happening recently, if anything. Nothing.

The entire scenario with the spies, the Queen and her pets, and Brighthold was simply just too much.

He needed a break. So here he was. Walking blindly into the open as if he not a care in the world.

Sitting down upon the cobblestone path. Deo closed his eyes as he crossed his legs, sitting straight up as he allowed his arms to rest on each of his legs.

There had to be a way right? A way to deal with people without killing them. There had to be a way. Magi's take their power for granted, and instead of doing good with them. They turn to the darker side of things. Abusing their power to kill people. Murder for things. Or just of out right rage. It wasn't something that he could never bring himself too. He never killed someone, never brutally injured someone or even maimed them. He'd advert to subduing someone for a short period of time. But that never changed their mentally as they still went about their usual evil ways.

So now, he'd just meditate. Trying to reveal his stress

From the large city seemingly filled with evil and hateful things, a shockingly bright and happy child emerges from the trees. A mischievous smile was worn per usual, and the violet eyed child had a calmness around her. Nothing bothered her, no one got on her nerves; she was as carefree as a kid could get! Such a thing was rare, nonexistent even! With such a 'terrible' world, wouldn't one expect such a kid to be miserable?

But that was the beauty of denial!

Ignore the problems, pretend nothing bad ever happened! She didn't lose her mother out in the desert, the woman was simply at home sleeping! Her father existed, he was just always away for business! The world was not dark, the people were not scary, and if she tried hard enough, her rose colored glass would never disappear. Ignore the problem and it would not hurt you, right?

" Hum…~"

Oh, but a strange kid stood in her path. He was older than she, sitting out in the middle of the grass to…Do something? Tilting her head to the side, the young girl would lift and eyebrow and stare.

"Err…What are you doing there?"

Poseidon had left Loranthis after talking to a potential new business partner. That was good, he had a way to make money. Good. He'd walk out until he stumbled across two people, one looked a bit older, one looked a bit younger. He'd write something down onto his notepad before ripping the page out and showing it to both of them

"Have you seen this boy. Description: Appears to be only six or seven. White hair and pale skin. Knows wind, water, and ice magic. Wears fancy clothing as though he were a noble. Carries a decently large sword for his age. Reason for looking: He removed my tongue for refusing to join his faction. Any information relating to this boy would be much appreciated, if you have any information please contact Poseidon Laguna in Loranthis"

He'd point to the name and then to himself before nodding and waiting to see if either of them had a response for him

Awakened by a voice nearby, Deo opened his eyes and looked towards the source.

But to no avail, he couldn't see her with his own eyes.

But that was normal for him. After all, the silver color in his eyes did indicate that he was blind!

"Ooh. . . uhh. Just relaxing! Meditating really. I just have alot on his mind so I thought that this could help me in some wayy!" he replied to the younger girl.

For one, the blind boy just hoped that he wouldn't scare off the girl with his rather unique eye color. Even though it did indicate his blindness. People still put it up to debate by acting as if he could see or not. It didn't bother him much, it was rather hysterical. The only thing that did bother him about it was that many people would try to take advantage of him and rob him of his goods. Or kill him in that matter.

Footsteps. . .

Turning his head to the side, he aimed his ear towards the city where a teen of an average height came out of the woods and seemed to have come across the two.

Feeling the teen take out something and begin to scribble on it before pushing it outwards to the two as if he wanted to show them something. As to how the blind boy knew this. It was simple, it was just through the vibrations the echoed throughout the earth. Deo frowned and raised his right hand to point to his eyes.

" I'm blind. So would it be possible for you to read it to me?" he quizzed, not knowing that Poseidon is mute.

Oh…

Oh boy, was this ever awkward! Looking to the bit of paper, then to the blind boy. Oh gosh! Harley fought back her laughter, she tried her best not to burst into a fit of giggles, but this was hard! A mute and a blind kid…Not only that! The mute was looking for a possible friend of hers, and the blind man couldn't read the sign. Oh dear gods! Her smile grew, but Harley kept hold of her laughter. Dark humor, VERY dark humor. But then, if she didn't have such a twisted sense of humor?

She'd be as miserable as every other kid around.

"O-OH…Uhm…U-Uhh….I don't think he can read that to you. E-Er…PFff…Uhm, it's…It's a flyer. He's….He's uhh…Looking for someone who took his tongue."

Oh, it was so hard not to laugh.

"I…I have to go. This is….This is too much for me."

Turning, the girl walks towards the city once more, trying not to laugh over the idea of a blind guy and a mute trying to communicate. Oh boy…! She didn't think too much on the social turn of her actions, she didn't care. The girl had to go tell her friend and hopefully not lose it and blurt out laughing again.

He would snap his finger and his water spirit would summon. A blue talking lobster would begin to speak

"My speechless friend here was asking if you had seen a white haired boy who knows ice magic. He is quite racist as well, and claimed my friends tongue. He intends to find this boy and torture him for many days and nights as punishment for his actions" He would then look to the girl and point.

"My friend here would like me to inform you that if you do not cease your laughter, he'll shatter your knee's and leave you in the Stinnox caves as punishment. He doesn't like Disrespect, his words not mine."

He would merely nod

"Someone who took his tounge?. . . . " Deo repeated in wonder.

Who in the world would do such a thing? Taking someone's tounge wasn't a grand idea nor a nice once. Things like this was something Deo needed to do. Solve.

But how, he was pratically a pacifist. Only turning towards violence when it was needed. Doing everything he could to avoid harming another. But it'd seemed that there was something he had to do to prevent magi's connection with their mana circuits. As if he could seal it away. So it'd be pratically impossible for anyone to abuse their giftts.

"Ooh. . . your going now? Okay" he said smiling as he waved her off. But then, he felt a rather weird disturbance floating in the air. Aswell was a rather well speeched creature. Until it obviously mentioned the part where he'd shatter Harley's knee's and leave her in the Stinnox Caves.

Frowning, Deo didn't like this at all. Why did people have to be so harsh.

Sighing, the blind boy pushed himself to a stand then made his way over towards Poseidon.

"I know of a Ookami whose beeing training for Ice, water and wind magic. But it's been a few years since I see him." he responded.

Finally making his way infront of Poseidon, he stated in a rather low and calm voice. Trying to avoid Harley from hearing it.

"I would prefer it if you didn't have such threats towards some one just because of how they act. They're are other ways of going about things. So why don't you apologize please. There's no reason to say such rash words for simple laughter." he said silently before taking a step back and smiling. Hoping Poseidon would come to his senses and y'know.

 He would motion to the Lobster and it would speak. "Well, usually he doesn't make such threats, why, he could even be a swell guy if you got to know him, But y'see, as I said, the guy ripped his tongue out of his mouth. He has every right to be angry, if the girl was laughing then she deserves to be threatened"

"He's a bounty hunter, does things for money, its a very dangerous job and he can't come across as weak, so he can't tolerate such disrespect. Sorry he isn't all sunshine and rainbows, half the country is run by a demon, the other half by war mongers, its not a happy time, and he won't be apologizing. She left anyway, she's lucky she got away, cause he will break knee's, he's done it for lesser insults than laughing."

He would merely nod and fold his arms, "Its not as though he's not justified in it, the guy ripped out his tongue, and she was trying not to laugh. you need to get off your high horse a bit"

He'd nod once more

"No . . . That's no way to handle a situation properly. You can be the bigger on in this situation and act higher than threatening something for something as small as a lugh." he replied.

Straighting his back, he shifted a stance as he felt rather unconfortable speaking to something in the air instead of the actual person infront of him. It was rather . . . . odd.

Frowning, he replied to the creature's next statement.

" Your. . . whatever he is has a thing for breaking people's legs does he?" he questioned.

"It still doesn't matter that he's a bounty hunter. Him ignoring petty things such as laughter or less meaning still doesn't require such harsh acts."

Now it was time for the bounty hunter infront of him to make a comment towards Deo.

" High horse? No. . . There isn't a horse around here. . So I don't think that's possible. But as for me helping you find this person. I doubt that I'll do such a thing now because of how you act. . . people like you abuse your powers for such evil. . . One day I will find a way to seal that power away." Deo said rather calmly.

"Ooh. . . that reminds me. Your that creature who fought against the guy with a stinnox tail and threatend to sell him to the Queen. . . Would you care to tell me more. . about your relation with her?"

He would simply roll his eyes and motion to the Lobster who did the same and went to speak

"High horse is a saying, stop thinking your superior. And as I said, he's a good person at heart, but he has to make sure people know he isn't one that should be threatened or disrespected. She disrespected him, and had the audacity to laugh at his tongue being ripped out, he was well within his rights."

"I don't know what century you think this is, but in case you haven't notice, the age of morally good people is over. He does what he needs to do to survive, and that means making sure people don't walk all over him"

"And you doubt you'll aid in him finding the little psycho who removed his tongue because he refused to join his faction. So you'll do nothing about that. Theres a guy running around taking away parts of peoples bodies and you'll do nothing about it? Well, I suppose your not so morally good yourself, you little sociopath"

"We do not abuse our power, again, get over yourself. As for his relation with the Queen? Are you deaf as well as blind? Well obviously not as you already mentioned his job, he's a hunter, he does things for money, hence he was going to hand over the stinnox creature for money, thats as far as the relation extends, and if it does extend past that? I'd not likely tell you, your kind of an asshole."

"Also, seal such powers away? You do realize thats not a thing right? Like, two percent of the population of valmasia is made up of magi, and its not as though they all use unique forms of magic. He knows wind and water, very common forms of magic, its not something you can- Look, are you stupid? I feel bad talking down to you now, because I'm kind of getting the feeling your lacking much intelligence"

He would not try to silence the lobster, merely nodding and shrugging as it spoke.

 It'd seem as Deo had taken some well placed insults as he stood there infront of Poseidon. Not flinching, taking an aggresive stance towards these mocking words, or even cowarding away in fear. The blind boy would just stand there and look blankly towards the mute figure.

"I've not once think that I'm superior to any what way. . . . I'm just not used to the slang that is used within this country. It took me a few years to understand your tounge. It's going to take me a few more to understand all your slangs. As for you having all your rights of doing so. No, because you don't have too. It's up to you to either be offended and attack someone for something other than an act or for you to ignore that person a be the bigger person. "

This was going to be a long arguement.

"Making sure someone doesn't walk over you is different from taking a brutal act upon a person who did nothing but laugh. I say that act itself insane itself. . . and just because this is an age where good people is over. Then why don't you make a different and change that? Have you ever thought of that?" he quizzed.

"Sociopath?" Deo repeated in a calm matter as it was pratically impossible for him to ever get enraged from such a stubborn person. But that didn't mean he couldn't be sassy. "I guess you could call me that. But I never said I was morally good now did I? I just choose not to do such cruel acts over such insignificant and petty things." he sassed as he smirked at the end. But later he did frown as he came to think about a person running about and stealing people body parts. It was his first time hearing of this. "Is his name Weiss? Aswell is he an Ookami?" That was all he needed to know exactly who to look for. Colors didn't help him at all since he never seen a shade in all of his life.

"Abusing your power is using it to harm another. If that's not abusing it, I don't know what is." he retorted. "Deaf? Maybe, but you being a bounty hunter means that if the Queen hires you to do something. She must also be willing to share some information with you to do your duties correct? And an asshole? " he repeated, then pondered on it for a few seconds. "Well atleast I don't have an obession for shattering peoples knees right? " he joked as he smirked

"Yes, seal your powers away, and for those two percent of the population of Valmasia. I plan to seal those who abuse their power, and as you must know. That two percent of magi's within this country seem to rule Valmasia right? So by far. It seems that magi's are obviously the higher ones. If I ever do accomplish such a goal. I'll make sure to get rid of people who are as menacing as you. This country would be better off without people like you. And if they are so common, do you control the elements of wind and water? As well as Ice?"

Deo would then cross his arms as to mimic Poseidon's posture as he nodded his head towards the lobster. Awaiting for the lobster to speak the thoughts of Poseidon once more.

He'd motion to the lobster

"Why doesn't he change that? Maybe because he's a fourteen year old with a missing tongue and two missing fingers, and he'd be up against a yokai powerful enough to take over a city, and an alliance powerful enough to rule the country for almost a century. Wow, you are indeed stupid"

"He does what he does to survive, and while it may be fairly brutal tactics, it gets results. And no, he's not an Ookami, he was a human. And yes, if thats what you consider to be abusing power, then you do not know what abusing power means, you are correct."

"And no, that does not mean the queen would have to share information with him, it means he takes people, and hands them over to the queen or the imperfect, or anyone else that will pay, in exchange for money. No questions asked."

"Also... Like, are you serious right now? You really are stupid. You think you have the right to judge who misuses there powers, when really thats just your opinion. Also, it may be two percent of the population, but thats still a lot of powerful magi, even if you found a way to seal someones power, you'd succeed in doing it to a few magi who would likely never be of note, and then you'd get to an actually powerful one and he'd kill you."

"And no, he doesn't know ice magic, he's working on mastering wind." He would look up to Poseidon and notice a few of the boys hand signals then nod, "And if one of your targets happens to be my companion here, feel free. He will not show mercy."

Poseidon would hold out a hand and motion for the lobster to silence itself, he'd then motion to Deo and shrug, making a gesture that showed he didn't take the guy seriously, and wanted this conversation to end. He would then simply start walking away, manipulating the air around him to ensure no sound was produced by his walking away, no reason for the blind guy to know he had left

"Why don't you give us your oh so well thought out response, its sure to be funny" the water spirit would say, not bothering to reveal they were leaving, he'd then close his eyes as he was unsummoned.

The two are stubborn huh?

"If I'm not mistaken. The Imperfect started off as a lesser form yes? Then it slowly grew and grew until it became what it was right? If a creature such as a yokai that you people dispise so much can become so powerful. Don't you think you can too? If you keep on thinking that you'll be nothing more than you already are. You'll never gain such a strength. You'll just say the same way that you've always been...." Deo started to feel rather sorry for poseidon as the conversation went on.

"But non-brutal tatics can get you even greater results. Have you ever thought of that?" he quizzed. " And that is what I think it is. Everything happens for a reason, and a person being born with the power to manipulate elements to their sheer will means something. There was a reason for it to happen. So why not use those gifts for good instead of brutish acts?"

"That reminds me, you need to stop doing what you do.... What if you were the one that was beaten up. Would you like to be someone's pet afterwards?" he questioned.

"I don't think that I personally have the right, but I feel like It is wrong for gifted people to use their powers to do harm than good. Don't you think? " he responded honestly " As for meeting a powerful magi that will kill me? Tha won't happen until I end this rein and set balance within this country. It might not happen now. But soon enough it will. And if I do die before this happens. There will always be another to rise up and finish the job."

". .. . I don't have targets . . . But if you continue to keep up your brutish ways and I hear about it. I will have to deal with you one way or another. I just hope that there won't be any blood shed. . . . This is not a threat by the way. Only a way to convince you to stop doing what you have done in the past. . . "

Shifting his stance again, Deo added at the end. " Thank you for the information about the body snatcher . . . I'll try to find him and stop him if I ever come across him. "
