Loykie
Loykie is a very interesting character because of his relationship with samuel. At first, Loykie can be seen as a very shy boy, running away from outsiders at the first site of them. This can be seen early in chapter 19 when Sam goes fishing and notices that someone had been fishing there just before himself.
Loykie can also be described as incredibly lonely. Loykie shows these feelings through his talks with Samuel in his choice of superheroes. Samuel and Loykie discussed on multiple occasions their favorite superheroes which often reflects upon the person. Loykie chose a lot of off characters that don't really fit in any where and Samuel notes this on page 317 when he says "I discovered something about the Amazing Absorbing Boy's favorite superheroes
