  1. basically what i've got going on is i have an arduino uno and i'm trying to get it to output a single input to my snes
  2.
  3. i bought some snes controller extension cords and opened them up and determined which pin was which
  4.
  5. first i took the internal wires and stuck them on a breadboard and plugged it into my snes + plugged a controller into the other end, to confirm that my wires are fine, that worked (looked like this: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DIQbwSlXgAElCl6.jpg)
  6.
  7. what i'm doing now is adapting this code: https://github.com/jtrinklein/SConE/tree/master/src except replacing the digital pin inputs with a pre-set binary value (in my case B00111011 for an a button input but i also tried a right dpad input) and loading it on my arduino, this is the code i am using: https://pastebin.com/57zXm3H8
  8.
  9. i'm pretty sure after checking a few times that i have the latch, clock, and data wires hooked up to the correct designated ports, and i connected the cord's ground wire to arduino ground port
  10.
  11. i also have a snes input display nintendospy adapter, so i plugged my contraption into that, and viewed the input. this confirmed that my input is indeed coming through the cable from the arduino and should be going to my snes, the a button is lit up solid when i have the arduino outputting to the snes cable
  12.
  13. however the problem is that my snes just... doesn't do anything lol, the input is going to it but nothing is happenign on ym snes
  14.
  15. when i replace the arduino input with a controller using the same wiring, the nintendospy input looks the same
  16.
  17. does anyone have any ideas on what im doing wrong? thank you for your time
