Yoonhui had also misunderstood him and thought he might’ve been blaming her for her mother’s death, which caused a huge rift between him and Yoonhui. During one of their common fights, Yoonhui had accidentally let it slip that she heard their conversation years ago when her mother died, but because the king was taken aback, he hadn’t been able to respond and lost his chance in trying to fix the misunderstanding. He wasn’t really sure how to be a father, honestly, because he was a king most of his lifetime, so he was clueless. Regardless of that, he still loves his daughter very much and would do everything to protect her, though he has a very hard time showing it.

She could be strict when needed, but for the most part, she tried to give Yoonhui as much freedom as she could. She was there as a mediator whenever the father and daughter would disagree on things. When she died, it was very hard for both father and daughter.

BACKGROUND:
❧ BIRTH | She was born in the middle of Spring. Her parents, the king and queen, along with the entire kingdom, were all ecstatic when she was born, especially with her being the firstborn child and the first princess. Although the king and queen were pretty worried when she hadn't shown any sign of powers at birth, they decided to wait it out, believing that her powers would reveal itself sooner or later.
❧ CHILDHOOD | As her powers slowly revealed itself, her mother’s health deteriorated and she eventually died just as Yoonhui turned 5. Because her mother’s power had been somewhat similar to hers, the elders in their kingdom deduced that her mother’s strength must’ve transferred to her, which eventually led to the former’s death. There were no proof that this was true, but because there wasn’t enough information about parents and children who had similar powers (back then), the elders just cane to the conclusion that Yoonhui might’ve unintentionally caused her mother’s death. It was honestly a ridiculous thought, and was immediately dismissed by the king. Unfortunately, Yoonhui had heard the conversation and thought that it might’ve actually been her fault that her mother died. During most of her childhood, she blamed herself for her mother’s death, so she really didn’t like her power that much. She somehow thought of it as something like a curse. It didn’t help that her father was rarely present during most of her childhood. Shortly after her mother died, her father rarely ever left his office. He had to handle the kingdom’s matters mostly on his own now that his wife was gone. He never really had time to entertain the younger Yoonhui. Because of this, Yoonhui came to the conclusion that her father must be blaming her too, for her mother’s death. Thus, Yoonhui began to further drift away from her father, and eventually learn to be as independent as she could.
❧ TEENAGE YEARS | Rumors of her powers and how it had “unintentionally killed her mother” spread around not only their kingdom, but other kingdoms as well. Not everyone believed it, but those who did ridiculed her a lot. She was often bullied because of it. This led her to hate her power even more, and forced her to show it as little as possible. By this time, she had learned to control her powers so hiding it had been pretty easy. Instead, she began to learn martial arts, sword-fighting and throwing daggers in order to be able to use it in time of need. She easily became one of the best fighters, which was impressive for a princess. By this time, the rumors had died down and had been overshadowed by her fighting prowess instead, which eventually led to ppl referring to her as a “badass princess”. Furthermore, her intelligence had led to more people looking up to her.
❧ NOW | She has become a princess that people see in high regard. She was known for being smart and strong, but she also became known for being quite sassy and stubborn. Due to all the bullying she suffered as a kid, she learned how to sass people. She also inherited her father’s stubbornness, which makes it hard for some people to get through to her.  Although some people may be taken surprise bc of her sassy attitude, they're aware that she has a good heart. In terms of her family, her father and her talk from time to time, although they argue for at least half of those times. She still rarely uses her powers, unless she has no choice.

FIRST MEETING:
❧ They met at a ball arranged by the 12 Kingdoms several years ago, when they were younger. The royal children were introduced to each other during the ball, and that's how she met most of the princesses and princes, including Namjoon. Namjoon was extremely smart and the other royals found it interesting, so they asked him a lot about his thoughts on things. Unfortunately, he and Yoonhui's views on certain things tend to crash a lot. It didn't help that Yoonhui is very opinionated and tends to speak her thoughts out loud. Since then, the two of them tend to rival each other in everything.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
❧ Yoonhui didn't like Namjoon in the beginning. He was incredibly smart, gentle, caring and very responsible – in short, he was perfect.
❧ Namjoon thought Yoonhui was interesting. No one really ever challenged his intelligence, except for Yoonhui, so he found arguing with her on certain things to be a bit amusing. In fact, he may have even thought she was cute, though he probably won't tell her that.

RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE:
❧ FIRST | In the beginning, Yoonhui didn't really like him. They were rivals, and often competed for most things. They challenged each other a lot, but unlike Yoonhui who tried her best to dislike him, which was hard honestly, Namjoon mostly found it amusing. He never really hated her for anything. As they grew older, they start to like each other, but would never admit it. Namjoon had also accidentally overheard (not really his fault tbh, it’s his power) some of the kids talking about Yoonhui’s power and the death of her mom, so he knew why Yoonhui didn’t like using her power. Tbh, he really admired her for being so strong. But knowing her personality, Namjoon tried to hide his feelings, and Yoonhui tried to deny it as much as she could, even though most of her friends could see it. This all changes, however, when they become betrothed to each other.
❧ MIDDLE | After finding out about their engagement, Yoonhui is forced to move to Istellus. Because Istellus is a new place for her, she found it hard to settle in. It didn't help that she often got in trouble for her sassy and outspoken attitude. Namjoon knew about this, so he tried to make her as "at home" as possible. He also tend to protect her from anyone who might insult her for being someone from another kingdom, or for being herself. Yoonhui doesn't like the idea of him protecting her initially, because she likes to think she can handle it and she's not weak, but she learns to appreciate it. It was at this time, that she learns more about him, too. She finds out that he may not be as perfect, and that he has flaws, too. While living together, their relationship deepens, though they still tend to banter about some things. Oh, and Namjoon may have helped her and her father reconcile. With much convincing from Namjoon, Yoonhui finally had a proper talk with her father, who fixes the misunderstanding this time and tells her that it wasn’t her fault her mother died and that he never blamed her. The king also tells her that her powers are a blessing and a gift from her mom, which is quite an eye-opener for Yoonhui. She starts to show more appreciation for her powers.
❧ END | With an evil force lurking, the Kingdoms are forced to work together to eliminate it. Namjoon and Yoonhui would probably work with all the other royals, and test their ability to work together to think of plans. Yoonhui wants to help using her power too, but Namjoon becomes a bit worried. They talk about it for a bit, with Yoonhui promising she won't overuse her powers, and everything works out in the end. After the whole ordeal, and when the kingdoms are finally in peace, they hold their wedding.

ATTITUDES:
❧ Namjoon | To be honest, he never really disliked her, but he found their rivalry (and her attitude in general) to be quite amusing. He tends to challenge her all the time, especially when he KNOWS he's right. He would accept it though, if he thinks she has a point. Aside from that, he has a gentlemanly attitude, and it's something that stays even when he's around her despite their rivalry. He also really admires her for her strength, but would probably never tell her that.
❧ Yoonhui | She's often sassy around Namjoon. She likes challenging him whenever she thinks differently about something, which is pretty much every single time. She likes to think she dislikes him, but it makes it hard for her to hate him when he's so gentle and generally nice around her. It doesn't help that she has to start living with him and she's discovering more things about him, especially the fact that he may not be as perfect as she initially thought he was.

RELATIONSHIP TRIVIA:

❧ Upon arriving at Istellus, Yoonhui suffers from homesickness. She misses her kingdom, the palace, and maybe even her father. She talks about her worries w/ her panther (they allowed her to keep it in her room), and even though he’s in another part of the palace, Namjoon hears this (w/ his enhanced hearing) and tries to make her feel more at home in Istellus.
❧ Someone tries to hurt Namjoon. Yoonhui finds out about it, and manages to save him just in time (probably using her powers), and gets a little hurt while doing so. Turns out, Namjoon also knew about it and the reason he (willingly) fell in the enemy's trap was so he could find out who exactly it was. In the end, they find out who the enemy is, and Yoonhui's injury gets treated. She finds it a little weird how much Namjoon was taking care of her, and she would complain half-heartedly and act like she doesn't really need it, but the truth was, she actually appreciated it.
❧ Namjoon overworks himself handling kingdom matters, while the King is away on a business trip. He ends up getting sick and it's up to Yoonhui to take care of Namjoon and regularly check up on him. The problem? She doesn't really know how to take care of sick people. Because she doesn’t like asking for help from other people, she visits the kingdom’s library and tries to find information on how to take care of sick people. In the end, she couldn’t find anything and had to ask her friends for help.
❧ Since Yoonhui's bday is the day after Namjoon's, they try to privately celebrate their birthday around midnight, just before Namjoon’s bday ends and before Yoonhui’s bday starts. Before the clock strikes 12, Yoonhui gives him a gift (a necklace w/ a ring pendant w/ a romantic quote embossed on the inside) and lights up the candle on a cake for him. He makes a wish and blows the candles. As soon as the clock strikes 12, it was Namjoon's turn to give her his gift, which coincidentally happened to be similar to the one Yoonhui gave him, and lights up the candles for her this time. Yoonhui does the same thing he did earlier.

CLOSE FRIENDS:
❧ FIRST LOVE | She's a sweetheart and quite honestly, the friendliest princess Yoonhui met. She treats her almost like a sister.
❧ STIGMA | She's tiny and overall, adorable. She brings out the big sister in Yoonhui. She just wants to protect her half the time, to be very honest.
❧ Jimin | He annoys her with his mischievousness sometimes, but he's actually very kind and sweet.
❧ Seokjin | Even though he may be cocky half the time, he's caring and gentle. He tends to treat her like a little sister, which she appreciates.

NOT CLOSE FRIENDS:
❧ Yoongi | He's too cold and seemingly unfriendly. Yoonhui also doesn't really appreciate the fact that he always tends to hurt FIRST LOVE's feelings, either.
❧ AWAKE | Yoonhui thinks she's a little too narcissistic, and probably more rude than she could ever be.
❧ BEGIN | Yoonhui doesn't necessarily dislike her, she just gets thrown off by the girl's dark aura most times.

❧ She’s usually laid back. She chooses comfort over anything else. She likes clothing that allows her to freely move, so she can fight in case she needs to. On special occasions, however, she would probably dress a little fancier and choose a dress that would most likely give off a sophisticated, classy vibe.

HOW DOES SHE ACT AS A PRINCESS?
❧ She doesn't want to be a princess, because it has a lot of restrictions. She would probably make a good ruler though.

HOW DOES SHE FEEL ABOUT HER POWER AND HOW DOES SHE USE IT?
❧ She used to hate her power, and would choose not to use it unless extremely necessary, but would later learn to like it. She can carry heavy things for the most part, and can use her strength along with her weapons or just use her fist when fighting. There’s a limit to how much strength she can use tho. Using too much of her power at once can lead to broken/fractured bones, or raptured muscles.

HOW ARE HER FIGHTING SKILLS?
❧ 9/10 | She can do most martial arts, and is proficient in the use of both sword and daggers. Her strength maximizes when she uses her power too.

COMPANION OF CHOICE:
❧ She has a panther for a companion, whom she named “Raven”. The panther was a friend she made while exploring. Panthers are generally dangerous, but somehow, this one took a liking to her. It’s still pretty aggressive around anyone that it deems as a threat to itself or it’s master though.

WEAPON OF CHOICE:
❧ Swords and daggers are her go-to. If she doesn’t have access to it, she would use the martial arts she learned. If she really has no other choice, she would then use her powers.
