  15. Braviary is too good in this meta, it has the ability to keep all the intimidate users at bay, since it OHKOes all of them ,(Non-Scarf lando has 30% chance to perish under Braviary's claws) thus giving extensive team support to stuff like Scizor, while also setting up TWind. Brave Bird is an awesome STAB attack, with 123 atk + STAB + 120 BP you have a guaranteed huge damage output to stuff thats not resisted. It can be replaced with Sky Drop or even Fly if you're feeling based. Return is also a great STAB, you wont be using it alot, but it's good when you cant take any recoil damage to survive a Heat Wave or something. Tailwind is where this set shines, this is why Braviary pairs so well with so many things, slow pokemon like the Scizor I mentioned before are great with him, Scizor kills the bitch that is Kube and Braviary deals with Hitmontop, preventing it from even switching in. Protect is seriously the most standard move in Doubles, used for scouting, protecting from damage to kill other things with partner etc. The EVs couldnt be more standard, 252+ Attack to maximize damage output, while the HP investment provides belk, so much belk. (252+ Atk Landorus-T Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Braviary: 328-388 (81.1 - 96%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery >>> DEM BELK) Sitrus gives it longetivity, because of all the recoil damage that it will be taking from Brave Bird, if you run Fly or Sky Drop, feel free to change it to Life Orb or something.

  17. 'MURICA (Braviary) (M) @ Choice Band
  18. Ability: Defiant
  19. EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
  20. Jolly Nature
  21. - Brave Bird / Sky Drop / Fly
  22. - Return
  23. - Superpower
  24. - U-turn
  25. Band Braviary set 2HKOes the entire Offensive Benchmark section. (www.smogon.com/forums/threads/xy-doubles-benchmarks.3498702/) Do I need to say more?
  26. Band Braviary is power in its purest, most beautiful, form. Let's go bit by bit, Brave Bird, like on the previous set, can be replaced with Fly or Sky Drop, but I dont recommend it, only use it when you are feeling really based, really fucking based. Return, like on the previous set, should be used when you cant take any recoil damage from Brave Bird, good for revenge killing, while also being the best option vs some pokemon (Can't remember atm), Superpower is seriously too strong, it OHKOes 252 HP Heatran and 252 HP Mega Kanga, somthing that Superpower Lando-T cant do, while also bringing added coverage to kill stuff like Bisharp etc. U-Turn is based, so good for getting momentum and predicting, like you switch him in on a Hitmontop, you bait him to go into Rotom-W and BOOM, U-Turn, which btw does 45% damage (#basedBraviary), while also doing TONS of damage to cress (252+ Atk Choice Band Braviary Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Cresselia: 196-232 (44.1 - 52.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery, i know that no one runs this cress set, but look at that dem power), also, by having only 80 base speed, this monster can be really good inside Trick Room, pairing well with Chandelure. The EVs are the most complicated part, go for 252+ Speed if you are running him outside of trick room, go for Brave 0IVs on Speed if you run him on trick room.

  28. CHECKS AND COUNTERS
  29. The entire Offensive benchmark (http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/xy-doubles-benchmarks.3498702/) is 2HKOed by Band Braviary, so your best bet is with faster Rock/Ice move users, like Lando-T(2HKOes with 252+ Stone Edge *o*) and stuff. Priority is also one of your best options, Azumarill can come in, take a Brave Bird and... do 30% damage with Aqua Jet.
  30. Ok so that means that Bisharp is our best priority option... BUT he does only 67% damage to it.
  31. That means that your options vs a Braviary are Revenge killing, Sash Bisharp, Thundy (97% damage from return --' ; 30% chance to OHKO with TBolt) and anything thats faster than it that can OHKO the monster (Stone Edge Terrakion and Deo-A were the only ones that I could think of)
