Why so down?

You got your pretty gown and the sun in your palm

Raise your fuckin head, but stay calm those feathers will get ruffled

You're in my cage, your crys are muffled nobody can save you

But don't be so blue little bird you're safe here and you got many friends on the outside

Don't hide don't fret, I'm the cage master, you're the attraction

A beautiful thing in a rusty cage brings a great reaction

So get that stupid frown off ya head

You listen to me when I'm talkin, you wanna end up dead?

You should be comfortable, have you not heard all I said, outside is dangerous and you'll get hurt

I'm here to keep you safe, not to assert dominance

And look at your prominence, everyone's coming to look at you pretty bird

So don't let that blurred image of the world get to you

You're mine, and you've hit two strikes, one more and you're out

But don't think about escape, on that third strike I won't be so fuckin generous anymore

Do your damn job, pretty bird's a failure of an eyesore

And if you keep going this way your crowd won't get an encore, you'll be too busy digging your own grave

See I know you won't leave, you don't want nobody to save you

That's why I put both keys, the only two in your own cage

If you were to leave there'd be no sage to burn your demons away, nowhere safe, don't be mad

You know I'm right, and don't get sad or those pretty feathers will look bad

Then you'll lose all use for me, man sinner chicken sounds good for dinner, it's what I had last time I had a trouble maker
