Most likely the plugin interface isn't compatible with PHP 7.2 after the cPanel 76 update. Have you contacted the plugin developer?

WatchMySQL was last updated in 2014, there have been changes within cPanel over the past few years which mandated plugin developers make adjustments too. Based on inactivity for so long, I wouldn't count on it being updated sadly.

We use the WatchMySQL plugin on our servers, too. It's simple and works well.

We haven't upgraded yet to latest cpanel version, but hopefully the folks from NDCHost will update the plugin if it needs it.

contacted NDChost, here is they answer:
WatchMySQL is an older deprecated script, It is not supported in the latest release of cPanel. We recommend the MySQL Governor from CloudLinux as a replacement.

In case someone is still interested in watchmysql version that works with the latest php 7.x version and it doesn't throw 500 error I made some changes and now it works as expected.

It is tested and works:

with cPanel: v84.0.x
with / without CloudLinux
MariaDB (all known versions)
MySQL (5.6.x, 5.7.x), not tested with other versions.
