Flor: People hide their bad pasts, because they do not want to relive them. They do not want them part of their future life, because they want something happy and peaceful. That's why I hid things from you, because I wanted something happy, peaceful, and serious with you. Now I would like to point out that you have not told me much about your past, either. I know that you struggled with drugs, and I know that you were once engaged. But I do not know the specific struggles you overcame, or all that you technically did. That is because you don't want to share your past with just anyone. You want to know this person inside and out before sharing the darkest side of you, and how you used to be. You told me not to judge you on your past, and I don't. Most people would say, "Oh he was a druggie? Don't date him. Oh he cheated on his fiance? Don't date him." But I trusted that you changed, and I still do trust that. Because people grow up, and they realize the mistakes they made and try their best to avoid that. You did that for me. You were the one thing that made me want to turn everything around, live a happy and healthy life with someone that loved me more than anything else in the world. I knew to stop everything I had done when I met you because I wanted a real chance with you. So that's why I hid things from you, just like you have hidden them from me. I don't know about your past, and you /didn't/ know about mine. I'm just sorry it had to come from someone else before I was ready to share the specific details.
