Bain had picked up Hisa early in the morning. His truck was beat up and honestly not in the best condition but it got the job done. He stopped by a dinner, where they ate breakfast before heading out to where they would end up hiking.

As they reached the trail he pulls up and parks. "here we are, you excited? i made sure to bring alot of things, and i even happen to find my old tent and sleeping bag for you so you dont have to share with me!" he said with a small calm laugh as he climbed out of the truck. Going off to grab the stuff they would need for the trip.

Yawning quietly, Hisashi ran his fingers through his own hair, pushing his bangs out of his face for a moment, before turning to look at the other. Truth be told, he'd been looking forward to this all week, and he was beyond excited to finally be out and about with Bain... not that he'd ever truly let on how fast it made his weak little heart beat.

He stretched his arms, and swiftly got out of the truck, shutting the door behind him and making his way around the other side where his friend was. Smiling at the other, he gave a small nod. "Oh, totally over the moon... what could be better than walking a long, dirty, buggy trail, right?" Hisa snickered slightly. "Just kidding... I am excited though. And look at you, mister Prepared For Anything~ Do you need me to carry anything?"

"hmm i mean im not prepared for anything. but i try to keep it more safe since you are around. And if you want you can carry your backpack of clothing, i got the rest of it. " he said with a smile at the other as he slings over his own bag across his shoulders, it was light. he also picked up the camping gear, for when they would need it , along with two hiking sticks. One was cute and pink, the other was a grey colour, "which stick you want?" he asks calmly, he wouldnt admit he normally used the pink stick, he had found it was easier to handle and since it was a bit longer, perfect for his height.

"and hey at this time in the year not as many bugs are out, since its geting kinda cold" he adds on as he starts to make his way to the trail, adjusting himself so everything he had was on him comfortably.

Man, he already felt bad that Bain was doing so much for him, but if he insisted he had this, then there wasn't much he could argue on. "Well okay, but if you end up needing help carrying something, don't be afraid to ask. I can handle a lot more than I look like I can~" He smirked slightly, before looking back towards the bed of the truck.

When Bain had picked up the walking sticks, his eyes immediately went to the pink one. But it seemed significantly longer than the plain one, and he knew fully well that Bain was indeed taller than him... most guys were, after all. "It doesn't matter to me. They're just sticks, haha." He took the plain one, not even really thinking about color so much as practicality. "Hm... fair enough. But still, if I see any bugs, I'm counting on you to get rid..."

He laughed, a deep pure happy sound coming from the man. "dont worry, I got this. This is supposed to be relaxing for you, and i plan to make it that way. even if it means holding a bit more things or killing a bug or two." Bain looked over with a bright smile as he took the shorter stick, slightly released he was able to stick with his normal stick.

Bain started to make his way to the trail, he walked slowly, making sure the other could keep up. He also made sure to walk slower because he was caring more, and because he wanted to spend as much time as he could with the other, it would be a shame if they got through the trail quickly and had to leave sooner.

"Aw... my knight in shiny black leather~" He gave a soft laugh, before pulling out his phone to a text from Allison. Hisa had been walking along with Bain though, and typing as he did. It was almost effortless, because he would look away from the screen every so often, fingers still tapping at the screen, just to get a better look at the other. Ugh, he's literally perfect... so unfair, he thought to himself.

After the brief phone conversation, he turned his phone off, and put it away. Wouldn't be fair to distract himself from a godsend like Bain Grayson. Besides, he'd be out of service soon anyway. "Sorry about that~ Allie was keeping me updated on some developments. She said hi, by the way~"

"ah i see. thats fine, though i would say save your phone battery just incase. I mean not that i would let anything happen to you." he said calmly. it seemed he didnt mind the other messaging allie during the first bit of their walk.

"and i would say tell her i said hi back but we can do that later. So Hisa, how you feeling? i mean this trip just started but still its always nice to check in." he asked calmly, eyes calmly looking over at the other. A soft smile on his face as he watched him waiting for an answer,

"Don't worry about that, I turned it off for now. And besides... I never leave home without a power bank~ Wireless charging is totally a savior of the future." He adjusted his backpack, before continuing to walk alongside the other.

When he was being given that look, oh man, were those butterflies in his stomach, or giant moths??? Jeez... He cleared his throat, smiling as well, the faintest hint of pink in his cheeks. Hisa brushed his bangs out of his face for a moment, before glancing away. "Well, I guess I'm nervous? But like, in an excited way! Like I said, this is my first time..." He paused, but picked up his words quickly. "Ah, camping. My first time camping. But, at least it's with someone like you."

"well im glad you are excited about this. i am as well. just the two of us alone, together, im quite excited about it. and im glad i can be your first. Hopefully im not your last and we can keep doing things like this, we could even experiment with other things if you wanted as well. Anything you want to do im down to do as well. " he said with a small wink and a laugh. he didnt really notice how lewd he was being, he was more joking on how he is a daredevil and of course he would be willing to do anything.

Ouhh... how phrasing. Keep it together, Hisashi, he doesn't even realize what he's saying. Taking a slightly shaky breath, he nodded his head with the calmest smile he could muster up. "Haaa... yeah? Good to know I can um... keep my options open~ And... I'd love to do more with you..!" Slow your roll, babe. Easy. "I mean... what kind of friend would I be if I didn't spend quality time with you, right? Haha..." What is wrong with you, Hisa, you're not usually this disheveled. He has you a total mess.

"you okay? you seem more .. hmm. well nervous, then normal. Something wrong? You need to stop for a moment?" he asked concerned for him.  he stopped his walking to look over at him. "if something is wrong you can tell me you know, its okay, its just the two of us." he said worried reaching his hand out and putting it on his shoulder. griping it softly as if to comfort him.

The other had stopped walking and grabbed his shoulder, which had him stop in his own tracks too. Hisa's whole mind went blank, and he gave a small, flustered laugh. "Ahah, what??? No, I'm fine. I think."

What to say to cover it up... um, well, he thought for a second. Ah, brilliant excuse. "Think it's just that... being out in the woods has always made me kinda nervous, haha... I don't doubt that you'll protect me, but, uh, y'know..?" He hoped that would get Bain off his back about this.

️  Bain looked at him concerned. "if you  say so. Luckly for you once we get to the top its a nice clearing. And we will be able to see the stars, and you can tell me about it then okay." he said with a soft smile as he started to walk once more.

As they walked he glanced over at him a couple times, "you know if something is botheirng you you can tell me. I mean this is what this is all about, us spending time together, and relaxing" he said with a smile, making sure to clear away any brush that may seem to be in the way of the other.

All of that honestly sounded amazing, to him. He sighed dreamily, just thinking about being in that moment with Bain of all people. Yeah... it's going to be perfect... just like you... why are you so perfect??? he wondered to himself. Hisa simply nodded at the other's words, and continued walking as well, trailing just a tiny bit behind the other, before catching up.

Of course, he knew that already as well. Bain had brought him along so he could forget about his worries for just a little bit. Matchmaking was a stupidly stressful talent to possess. You'd think it'd all be very one-way-streetlike. "Yeah... I know." He offered a small smile directed at the other, heart thumping a little harshly in his chest. "I--... um, I really appreciate it, Bain."

️  "its no problem at all. Anything for you, Hisa. take this time to relax anything you want right now, ill give it to you" he said with a smile walking, looking around again once more. his eyes set on something in the distance, glowing as he saw it.

"oh my god! you see that! its a lake, a natural lake, last winter it was frozen over, we could go over there, come with me, youll love this. " he says taking the others hand and dragging him off the path. Then to a lake. "look closly. The fish here have a cool feature.. if you look they are pink. its because of all the shrimp around this area. isnt it pretty?" he asked, still holding the others hand as he looked down into the pond happily

The moment he'd felt his hand in the grasp of the other, his cheeks went pale pink again, and he was pulled off to the side alongside Bain. Oh... well, sightseeing isn't a horrible thing. Besides, he seemed really happy about this discovery, and that made him happy in turn.

Of course, upon the approach, Hisa blinked a few times, enamored and eyes wide with wonder as he looked on at the sight. It really was quite pretty... beautiful, actually. "Wow..." Pink was his favorite color, as well, so that made it even more amazing, in his eyes. And the cherry on top? Bain was the one showing him this, so that made it doubly as amazing! :heart: A small smile spread across his face, and he very gently leaned into the other's arm, holding his hand rather fondly. "Very..." Not as pretty as you though, ugh... he thought.

️  "im so glad i was able to show you. the first time i saw these fish i thought of you. i was afraid they would be frozen over.. arnt they pretty? kinda like you.. Though you are better and cutter then any fish" he said with a small laugh.

he then turned to look at the other a soft smile on his face as he happily let the other lean onto him. hand giving hisas hand a small squeeze. he seemed very happy to be sharing this with hisa.

The blush in his cheeks only got darker when he'd complimented him. "O-oh...yeah? You thought about me~? Ah... haha..." God he's such a mess. Better and cuter... good God he's a terrible, horrible mess. Glancing up at the other, he had a very small, meek smile. "Aw, you really think so..?" The hand squeeze was quite reassuring... and made him feel even warmer inside.

"anyways, we should get going, you want to take a picture here before we get going? i normally carry my camera in my bag, its in the back pocket if you want to grab it" he says hesitantly leting go of the others hand so they could grab the camera.

Anyone could see the truth of what was going on here... but Hisa still had his doubts in the back of his mind. He most likely just meant that in a friendly way... "Y-yeah, that's true... huh. I like you too, Bain... I don't know who wouldn't... you're wonderful..." Though the soft dusting of pink across the other's face said otherwise... Hisashi knew that he shouldn't, though, for Bain's sake. What if someone else is into him, or he actually feels that way about another..? I can't... I shouldn't... He gave a small, slightly upset sigh, before looking back to the other.

"Huh? Oh!" No time to dwell on something so silly, Hisa. He smiled at the other, before nodding, and moved behind the other, carefully standing on his tip toes to reach the backpack. He unzipped the back pocket, before pulling the camera out carefully as well. "Got it." He held it out for the other to take. "Not really sure how digital cameras work, though, haha I'm so used to taking pics with my phone."

️  he noded. "oh no i get it. My mom gave this camera to me. Something about it feeling more sincere when its taken on a real camera. here ill set it up and we can get one together" he said taking the camera form the other, resting it on a tree after seting a timer, then he walked back over to Hisa.

As he positioned himself for the Picture he wrapped his arm around the others waist, pulling them close for the picture. he hoped the other didnt mind being so close to him, but hey what can he do when it just feels right. though he had his doubts the matchmaker would be into someone like him.

"there we go." okay we can get going now" he said, placing a hand on the other head, ruffling their hair playfully before pulling away and grabing his camera. carfully packing it back away in his bag.

After doing so he made sure to grab the others hand once more to lead him back to the path. he also just so happened to not quite let go yet.

Feeling the strong, comforting hold of the other's arms around his waist, he would've practically melted into his touch, if not for the circumstances. So, he'd grin and bear it for the time being, and he gave his most sincere smile, holding up both hands in double peace signs as the camera flashed and took the picture. "Nice~ Lead the way, then..." He trailed off slightly, as the other took his hand again. "Ah..." he muttered under his breath, before smiling awkwardly to himself, glancing away again. Maybe... look at the sights around you for a bit. That'll totally distract you, right? Haha...

Hisashi didn't let go of the other's hand either, though. In fact, he decided to take a small but bold move, and intertwined their fingers together, holding the other's a bit more properly. His eyes finding all sorts of things to be enamored about, he made small sounds of amazement. This trail was very pretty, though... he had that part totally right.

️  bains face turned a slight pink at feeling the other intertwine their fingers together. he didnt mention it as they walked, he was relaxed and just enjoing the trail. Beforehand bain had made sure to find the perfect trail for the two of them no to mention make sureto make everything as perfect as he could. As the sky started geting darker, they started to reach their destination.

"ah look. you hear that? it sounds like crickets. and if you look up you can tell the trees are thinning out. that means we must be getting closer, though we still have a bit more to go. did you want to find a spot for lunch now or just wait till dinner where we find our camping grounds?" he asked looking over with a soft smile. his hand still tightly intertwined with the others. Normally Bain didnt stop and eat lunch, though he wouldnt mind doing so if hisa wanted a small break as they were two thirds their way there.

He'd barely noticed that it was already getting darker, seeing as he was so secure in the company of Bain... Hisashi let out a soft sound of confusion, before he realized that yes, he could hear crickets. Although, there'd really be no point to stop for lunch now. I mean, it's probably closer to dinnertime than lunchtime. "I can hold out a little while longer~" He gave the other a reassuring, warm smile, still holding onto his hand.

Hisa gave a slight laugh, and blushed again, realizing that Bain hadn't stopped him from holding his hand. It was only slightly overwhelming to him. He really, really wanted to tell the other how he felt. If only... Seems like it wasn't just that he was scared of the other's potential future... he was scared for other reasons, too. "Honestly though, the trail's starting to look prettier in the dim light, haha..."

️  "yeah. just like you." he said without thinking as he kept on walking. not really thinking to much about his surroundings. He had been on this trail, and see so many prettier things, but that didnt mean he didnt enjoy this night out. Seeing Hisa so happy under this light made everything he has ever done worth it.

"we should be geting there soon" he said. as they walked for a bit more. After about half an hour the trees cleared out and there was a small clearing ontop the hill. "here we are.. What do you think?" he said leting go of the others hand so he could put down his bag.
The camp site was beautiful, it had a great view of the sky, not to mention a cute little fire pit, along with a few flowers that bloomed for the last time before everything froze.

He had tuned that one out, ironically, he was so enamored by everything else. It really was pretty. The colors changing before the wintertime closed in and made everything die off completely made the scenery worth it. Besides... someone that looks as dark and roguish as Bain, in a pretty scene like this? Heart. Wrenching. Devastatingly handsome.

Once they'd finally arrived, and he felt the other let go of his hand finally, he let out a soft gasp. "Ohhh... wow..." He took a few small steps forward, looking around at everything in the general vicinity. "You weren't kidding... this is amazing..!" His eyes sparkled slightly under the soft sunset. He gave the other a smile, before setting his own bag down.

"of course i wasnt. only the best for you after all! ill start up a fire so we can warm up, here if you digg around in my bag you can find one of the blankets i packed, you can lay it down on the floor and sit on it while i set everything up. Unless you secretly know how to put up a tent" he said with a smile and a laugh.

he then walked over to the fire pit picking up some wood and using his skills to start up a fire. making sure it was perfect. walking away every now and then to grab some wood for the fire, making sure that it would stay alive. he was lucky it was dry in the area.

Laughing quietly, he shook his head. "The only kind of tent I know how to pitch... is totally not related to camping." He offered a small wink, unsure if he'd even understand that joke, but whatever. After he'd spoken of the blanket though, Hisa offered a nod, and knelt down by Bain's backpack, unzipping it to pull out a blanket. Hm... it was honestly comfortably soft.

He glanced at the other briefly, making sure he was busy, before giving it a very subtle sniff, inhaling softly. It smelled just like him... anyway!!! Hisa smiled to himself, before standing back up to unfold the blanket. He set it down gently, and looked around for a moment, before pulling some slightly heavier stones to set on two corners of the blanket, just to make sure it stayed in place. He figured that'd be something worth doing. "There, perfect~"

️  Sadly for the other Bain didnt understand the joke. Bain really wasnt one for understanding lewd jokes at all. And he just asumed it was some sort of pillow fort or something he was talking about. "hm okay. Well dont worry you can leave it to me" he said with a smile and a laugh as he went on with what he was doing.

On the good news Bain didnt see him sniffing the blanket. Bain was to caught up picking up extra wood for the fire for later. After doing that and hearing the other mutter something about perfect he looked over, smiling at him.
"ill have the tents up in a moment" he says walking to his bag, pulling out all the tent equipment.  soon finding a tear in one of them. "ah shit. It seems like i have a tear in this tent. I could have sworn it was fine when i packed it away a couple nights ago.. thats fine, we still have my tent, we can share" he says, more to himself the to the other. he pulled out the other tent, inspecting it and finding it free from any holes.
