  1. [ WRATH OF THE GODS — BASIC INFO ]
  2.
  3. » | full name:
  4. NATHANIEL LEE-ZHANG | LEE NAJOON
  5. » | nickname(s):
  6. [ NATHAN ] Literally everyone uses this nickname for him seeing as it derives from his actual name and is fairly quicker to say. Hell, he’s so used to people calling him “Nathan” that he feels uncomfortable when he’s called by his actual name, feeling like he’s about to get scolded or something.
  7.
  8. [ NATE ] ^^^
  9.
  10. [ NAT ] He got this nickname from an incident in which he was mistaken for a girl when he was younger because he’d grown lazy and let his hair get a little long. People began jokingly calling him “Nat” ever since. The nickname faded after a while but arose again in Korea when he let his little cousin give him a “makeover” that left him in a ratty wig, make-up, and his aunt’s way-too-small high heels.
  11.
  12. [ JOONIE ] This nickname is from his younger cousin and he only allows her to call him by it. A lot of people do call him this though whenever they want to get on his nerves. However, there are a small handful of people (actually only like one or two) who he allows to call him by this because he finds it somewhat endearing.
  13.
  14. [ NANA ] Again, it’s a nickname that he is only called by when people want to irk him. He doesn’t even know where and when this nickname came to be but he isn’t all that fond of it and never fails to send one of his sweet little “call me that one more time and i’ll slaughter you” smiles.
  15.
  16. [ WEATHER BOY ] He‘s always had a thing for keeping up with the weather because he hates anything unexpected so people close to him started calling him “Weather Boy” since he always knows the current and upcoming weather. Almost everyone relies on him to tell him the weather for the day so they can dress and/or prepare appropriately. He does tell people the wrong weather report whenever they spite him.
  17.
  18. [ BANSHEE ] One of Nathaniel’s “powers” is having a death sense, something that allows him to sense whenever someone is dying or if someone is going to die without specifics. When he first discovered this power as kid, it used to frighten him to the point of just screaming uncontrollably as if it could drown out the weird feeling and the constant nagging voice in his head that someone was dying, that someone was about to die. He got more used to it as he got older but he stills sometimes just gets so overwhelmed and frustrated by the feeling and just screams until he’s satisfied or until he thinks the feeling has diminished. He also kinda screams whenever he senses death in a sudden way that startles him though he doesn’t really scream then, it’s more of a quick, startled sound. This has earned him the nickname “Banshee”, especially since he has a bad habit of sometimes waking up screaming hysterically in the middle of the night.

  64. ZHANG XIAO DAN / THANATOS | father, 3/5
  65. — The only reason Nathaniel has any form of a relationship with his father is because he was a very sickly child and his mother used that to her advantage to get him to come around. Jeanette Lee was still very much hung up over Xiaodan seeing as they had a little more than just a one night stand, being at more of a fuck buddy status. She used the fact that Nathaniel was sick all the time to have an excuse to call Xiaodan. While she continuously tried to hook up with him whenever he actually came, he also used Nathaniel to his advantage to get out of it, the god immediately claiming that he should be visiting his sick son. Jeanette was not aware of Xiaodan’s god status at first, at least not until after Nathaniel was born. Seeing as she successfully birthed a demigod, Xiaodan was naturally inclined to tell her who he was and give her a warning in advance for the powers Nathaniel could have.
  66. The father-son duo spent quite a bit of time together and Nathaniel even looked up to him at some point before the innocence of childhood faded and he realized how much of an asshole he was. As much as he would like to deny it, Nathaniel resembles his father greatly both in looks and personality, the personality part being due to the time they spent together and the looks just being good genetics. He has a love-hate relationship with Xiaodan, simultaneously wishing he could murder the old bastard while also wishing that he was around more often. Whenever they do get together on rare occasions, it’s filled with nothing but insults, arguing, and Nathaniel pretending to only be half-listening to the things his father advises and warns him about considering his powers. While he does take the advice and warnings he’s given seriously, there’s no way he’s letting his old man know that. He wouldn’t want to inflate his ego any further or else he’d probably burst.
  67.
  68. (“Ring ring bitch your son is sick again.”
  69. “He’s always sick. Plus, he’s your son too.”
  70. “And? He looks the most like you so..”
  71. “I’m not coming to your house.”
  72. “You’d let your son die without seeing his father one last time?”
  73. “He’s not going to die and I hate you.”
  74. “You never know.”
  75. “I...literally...fucking hell. Fine.”)
  76.
  77. » | background:
  78. NATHANIEL LEE-ZHANG WAS born and raised in Marseille, France to a relatively single mother as the product of one of her many flings. Jeanette Lee hadn’t known she was pregnant until around six months into the pregnancy. She hadn’t shown any signs and barely gained any weight, only finding out when she fainted and was taken to the hospital due to the lack of proper nutrition for her and the baby. Since she was unaware, at first, of the baby growing inside of her, she continued her usual lifestyle, drinking and popping pills to find some kind of release from the constant stress of her life. While the discovery of her unborn child changed her lifestyle, it was too late to help the baby boy. He was born a month premature and was far too small and under-developed for his “age”. He should’ve been almost completely ready for birth but he looked nowhere close to it.
  79. NATHANIEL SPENT NEARLY the entire first year of his life in the NICU. He’d gradually developed to the point he needed to be at and was even able to be taken home after a good few months but his immune system just wasn’t caught up. The first time he got sick was literally days after he went home from the hospital, sadly landing him back in the hospital. He was ten and a half months old when he was finally able to be taken home again, this time for good. Honestly scared for her baby, Jeanette made every preparation she could to accommodate her son in her small, one bedroom apartment. She was all alone in France, having left South Korea to attend college and follow her dreams of being a fashion designer, so she struggled a lot with taking care of Nathaniel. She had no experience with taking care of a baby and was not in the best place financially to afford one. Eventually, she gave in to her desperate need for help and began trying to get in contact with the father of her son for said help. The first contact that Jeanette finally got with Nathaniel’s father, Zhang Xiao Dan, was the first of a long line of visits from the man.
  80. GROWING UP, NATHANIEL was a very sickly child and it became a normal thing to only ever see his father when he fell ill. He didn’t think much of it as a kid and was just happy to be able to see his dad, always rambling on and on about things his dad missed between heaving coughs and pitiful sniffles. His reasoning for Xiaodan being gone all the time was due to him being a workaholic or something of the sort. I guess that’s true, in a sense, but also far from the truth, something to be expected of weak yet optimistic child. As Nathaniel got older, he became so much more aware of what was really going on and gone was his childlike innocence. He learned the real reason behind his seemingly constant sickness and the real reason his father, who he had looked up to, wasn’t around often.
  81. NATHANIEL WAS SIX years old when he accidentally discovered the first of his powers. When he was younger, around two or three, he was so stuck on getting a cat or kitten that his mom took him to the shelter to adopt one. He picked the one he thought was the prettiest, an adult Siamese female that he named Chéri, which is French for “darling”. As he got older, so did his beloved cat and only friend. While Chéri is older in cat years, Nathan still liked to believe that they grew up together. One day, a few months into winter, Chéri went missing. The six-year-old boy was absolutely distraught and begged his mom to put up missing posters in an attempt to find her. A week passed by with no sign of the Siamese cat, only getting a false lead the day that marked a week. Nathaniel had gone to sleep easily that night though he was quite restless. He kept feeling like something was wrong, so very wrong. At first he thought it was nightmare, the heavy feeling that something had died almost suffocating. He woke up screaming at the uneasy feeling in his dream, not wanting to believe the feeling and his intuition that it was about his lovely Siamese, but when he realized the feeling didn’t go away and the little voice inside his head was practically shouting that it was true even when he was awake, he broke down. He was a mess of tears and screams and utter heartbreak. His mother had burst into his room looking absolutely terrified, thinking someone was murdering her son or worse. That night was one of the few and final that his mother actually sat and comforted him, whispering sweet-nothings and reassuring him that everything would be okay.
  82. LEARNING THAT HE had powers would’ve probably been the coolest thing to ever happen to the six-year-old Nathaniel if it had been under different circumstances. It was hard for him to believe it at first but it all started to make sense after a while, especially after his father sat him down and explained everything to him. His power is what made him so sick all the time. The prematurity of his birth and his underdevelopment as a baby had been completely because of his mother’s mistakes and, because his body was just so weak, he couldn’t handle the power he had as a demigod. As he got older and gained strength, he was considerably less sick, this once again being explained as his body finally adjusting to his powers and balancing everything out. While he was glad to finally know the reason behind his sickness that kept him from public school and a social life, he was also upset. His parents had kept something so important to his identity a secret from him and all he knew was that it was pretty shitty thing to do, feeling a bit betrayed by his role model, his father.
  83. THE REST OF Nathaniel’s childhood was spent discovering and learning how to control his powers. His father still made himself scarce during this time since he has his godly duties and also avoids his mother as much as possible since she always tries to get into his pants, again. This led him to the revelation that his mother was only using him, his chronic sickness in particular, to her advantage to get his father to come around. While she cared enough to hand him medicine, she didn’t care enough to actually ever check on him and he realized this with bitter amusement, finding it hilarious that he’d actually thought she loved her mistake of a son. This only made him more determined to get stronger so he could hurry and properly join society and find some outlet for the mess of emotions inside of him.
  84. WHILE NATHANIEL’S “DEBUT” into society was still a little ways off, he did eventually find an outlet for his emotions: music. His father gifted him with a laptop, the greatest thing he’d ever given him, in Nathan’s opinion. He immediately took advantage of the sudden access to the internet and was suddenly immersed in the world of music and he loved it. While he has close to no singing talent, this boy can sure as hell rap and write. He’d always talked really fast anyways, a habit brought on as a kid when he was trying to tell his dad everything he missed before he left again, so it was literally pretty much effortless for him to just add a beat as he spoke and, bam, he was rapping. At first, he just learned and covered other artists’ raps but he eventually began writing his own when he figured out a lot of rap songs were the rappers’ own stories. He was eager to do that too, to share his story, so he soon had papers and journals filled with his raps scattered all over his room. He loved writing songs and raps and it helped so much with settling his constantly raging emotions.
  85. WHEN NATHANIEL TURNED twelve, his mother decided to drop the bomb that she was engaged and getting married to some rich businessman. The worst part? She didn’t even tell the guy that she had a son. Her solution? Send Nathaniel to a completely different country to live with her sister, his aunt who he didn’t even know existed. His dad never even showed up before he left so he was bitter, hurt, and sitting on a 13+ hour flight to South Korea. It didn’t help that he was homeschooled his entire life and never really had many opportunities to leave the house and socialize because of his health. Not only was the flight extremely awkward for him but also terrifying. He was sitting in a flying metal tin with nobody he knew going to a foreign country where he also didn’t know anybody. The poor boy didn’t even know what his aunt looked like. He felt miserable and weak and he hated every second of it. Nathaniel was the first one of the plane when it landed. He was so eager to get off of that thing that he nearly forgot to go to baggage claim to retrieve his luggage. He was in such a rush to get to his luggage that he accidentally ran into and knocked down a young woman, who ended up being the one apologizing for her own clumsiness when it should’ve been the other way around. As it turns out, by some strange stroke of luck, that young woman was his aunt. He was relieved that she was young and extremely nice, having expected the worse. He thought that maybe Korea wouldn’t be so bad after all.
  86. KOREA WAS AWFUL. Nathaniel absolutely hated it. Now he knew what tourists felt like, minus the apparent joy of tourism. Being surrounded by a language and culture that he barely knew made him feel so uncomfortable and out of place. Let’s not forget that this was one of his first real exposures into society and it was a society he was completely unfamiliar with. He may have looked like he belonged there but he definitely did not feel like it. His aunt, knowing full well that his Korean sucked and that he had minimal social interaction growing up, enrolled him in public school, only making things so much worse for him. He could barely understand anyone around him let alone what was being taught. His Korean was conversational, at best, thanks to his mom but he could not, by any means, read Hangul. He suffered so badly. His aunt eventually took notice of this when he got his first report card and hired an after school tutor for him, still making him go to school. Thankfully, his tutor was extremely patient and was able to improve Nathaniel’s Korean within mere weeks. It helped that he was constantly surrounded by the language and had a least a little bit of knowledge on it prior to moving there because his mom often spoke it to him. Within a year, he sounded like a native speaker, minus the thick French accent that he couldn’t quite shake.
  87. NATHANIEL CHANGED QUITE a bit the longer he lived in South Korea. While he was reserved and nervous around people at first, he opened up more and more as his Korean became better. He was starting to show more of the actual person he was, showing people who he really was. All of the time he spent with his dad benefited him in the sense that he was not all too uncomfortable with social interaction. What it didn’t benefit him in was his actual personality. He was able to notice that he was far too much like his old man. His mannerisms, habits, and way of speaking resembled Xiaodan in one way or another and it only made Nathaniel even more bitter about the god not making time to visit him before he was shipped off what felt like halfway across the world. To Nathaniel’s relief, one aspect of himself that remained the same was his love for music. He brought all of the stuff he’d written along with his laptop and continued writing almost as soon as he settled into his new room. He wasn’t going to let a new environment stop him from doing what he loves.
  88. TWO YEARS PASSED by quickly for Nathaniel. During those two years, he had no contact with his mom nor his dad, both them seeming to completely forget his existence. While the lack of thought from his parents stung, those two years were also filled with development, both of his powers and of himself as a person. He gained quite a few friends and earned a reputation for having sarcastic and blunt way of speaking, often aiming to tease people with his words yet apologizing when he went too far. He even gained a little popularity among his class group for being a good rapper. He’d often have girls and guys alike begging him to cover the raps in some of their favorite songs. While it took him a while to learn a bunch of Korean rap songs, he always delivered and never failed to impress the small crowd that always gathered around his desk during breaks with interest. Apparently, he was more popular than he originally thought because, one day, a girl in the year ahead of him pulled him aside. While his friends all wolf-whistled in the assumption that he was getting confessed to, the girl was actually just asking if he’d be interested in going with her to open auditions for an entertainment company. Rule number fifty-nine in Nathaniel’s Handbook of Miscellaneous Life Hacks: never say no to a pretty girl or boy.
  89. APPARENTLY NATHANIEL’S SO-CALLED life hacks actually work because he actually got a call a few weeks later for round two of auditions. From there, it was like a domino effect. He received one call after another for the next round until he finally made it into TS Entertainment’s trainee program at fourteen years old. The girl who prompted him to audition in he first place hadn’t made it past the second round but she still cheered him on along with his friends. He worked hard in the trainee program to be able to debut, wanting to do so as quick as possible. He honestly doesn’t know why he was so eager to debut but he figures it probably has something to do with proving to his mom and his dad that he is so much more than what they thought, that he is worth their love. While that seems a bit tragic, it’s true. He craves his mother’s love and his father’s approval despite the obstacles he has to go through to be able to earn those things from his parents. Luckily for him, his work paid off because he was debuting two years into his training with Royalty alongside six other guys, all of them eager to show what they’ve got to the industry.

  99. — If I end up getting the back-up instead, just let me know and I’ll change what I need to.
  100.
  101. » | personality:
  102. — Fair warning that this pile of shit below is really bad. I honestly got lost partway through and didn’t know how to write things without being repetitive. So, like, I’m open to criticism on this but I can’t guarantee it’ll get better. I’ll put some stuff in the trivia that might clear up some things.
  103. ❝IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU ASK OR NOT, I’M GOING TO TELL YOU.❞ | Nathaniel is someone with a very small, very defective filter on his mouth. He’s always saying what’s on his mind without thinking much about the consequences, never hesitating to voice his opinions, though he will apologize if he offends anyone too greatly. He’s known for having quite the sarcastic streak and a blunt way of speaking, his words often aiming to just tease someone. He is notoriously so good with his words that he can rile anyone up, even the calmest of people. While this actually isn’t completely true, he can be quite persistent and annoying enough to the point that people just burst and tell him to shut the hell up. You’d expect this talkative little asshole to be a loud person but he actually has a pretty quiet voice. Don’t be fooled though because he makes sure that he’s always heard. It’s hard to not listen to him when he speaks seeing as he talks so quickly and usually has something pretty entertaining to say.
  104. ❝HEY, BITCH, THE CAMEL CALLED AND HE WANTS HIS TOE BACK.❞ | Nathaniel’s most defining feature his inability to just leave people alone and his uncanny ability to get on people’s nerves. He’s always messing with someone, whether verbally or through a prank, of sorts. No one is safe from him, besides maybe the SON OF ELPIS and that just depends on the context, if y’know what I mean. Don’t get me wrong, he messes with him plenty but he’s softer with him than he is with other people. It’s often that he’s mistaken for the the SON OF HERMES, who he often teams up with to mess with people, for his somewhat mischievous streak. Although, he knows whenever he goes too far and will apologize along with tone down his usual insults, falling into a strangely calm and nice persona. While his group members are often the victims of his never-ending teasing, he will square up to anyone outside of the group who even dares to look at one of them wrong. He couldn’t give two shits whether people try to insult him or not since he usually just brushes it off but he will shut a bitch down if they come after his group members. The way he looks at is that only the group is allowed to mess with each other, outsiders are not permitted to that privilege.
  105. ❝PERSONAL SPACE? ALONE TIME? WHO ARE THEY? NEVER HEARD OF THEM.❞ | Nathaniel can be quite the people person, simply put. He’s extremely charming and comes off as a good person, his good looks only helping with that so that he’s almost like a people magnet. He spent most of his life condemned to a small apartment so he doesn’t take his social life for granted and savors every moment of social interaction he can get. His talkative nature helps greatly in making him seem like an approachable person so making friends isn’t a difficult feat for him. He’s pretty friendly despite his self-proclaimed sassmaster title, always up for any kind of conversation with anyone who’s not annoying. While Nathaniel is an incredibly sociable person, he actually can only handle a certain amount of social interaction, a lot less than what he actually makes people believe. He still is pretty uncomfortable when it comes to talking to people he doesn’t know. His solution to that? Rule number six in Nathaniel’s Handbook of Miscellaneous Life Hacks: fake it til’ you make it. By nature, he’d love to be alone in his room with all the lights off but he forces himself socialize. He refuses to become the reclusive and antisocial person his parents thought he’d become. Because of this determination, he never leaves anyone alone. Personal space and alone time are two things he doesn’t make himself familiar with when it comes to his group members. If he has to suffer through social interaction (that he usually causes), they do too.
  106. ❝IF I HAD A MILLION DOLLARS, I’D JUST GIVE YOU MY OLD WALLET TO REMEMBER ME BY.❞ | Nathaniel’s form of caring is the epitome of tough love. He already has a hard enough time expressing his usual emotions but showing that he cares is a whole other obstacle course for him. Whenever he tries to say or do something caring, it always backfires and he ends up teasing them, whether it be with his naturally sarcastic words or actions. He really does have good intentions and feelings towards his group members but the way he acts and speaks doesn’t ever really make that clear. He can be serious and show that he cares only when one of his group members really, REALLY needs it, his instinct to comfort others overpowering his “emotionally invincible” exterior. He’s just a little shit who cares way too much. It’s something that will definitely be his downfall some day.
  107.
  108. » | habits:
  109. STARING OFF INTO SPACE | Nathaniel literally just sits there sometimes and completely zones out from reality. It usually happens when he’s not really interested in what is happening or when he’s deep in thought, sometimes it’s both. His group members don’t really mess with him when he’s like this since it’s however long of peace but sometimes they snap him out of it, usually sacrificing the SON OF ELPIS for that job.
  110. MUMBLING UNDER HIS BREATH | Ever since Nathaniel was little, he always had a habit of mumbling under his breath to himself. Because he was an only child and his mother was rarely ever home due to college and “extracurriculars”, he had to find some way to keep himself entertained and sane. So, he resorted to mumbling to himself. He desperately wanted to one day have friends so he’d have little one-sided conversations as if he was talking to a friend. This habit has stuck with him and now he can be found mumbling to himself when he’s thinking or feeling nervous.
  111. STRESS EATING | Whenever Nathaniel is feeling particularly stressed out or upset, he will eat anything and everything he can get his hands on. There’s honestly no telling where this habit came from but he became aware of it when he first moved to South Korea. He kept on eating all of the snacks his aunt had and she eventually scolded him for it since it would become a bit too costly if he kept on eating like that.
  112. PLAYING WITH HIS SHIRT, SLEEVES, JACKET ZIPPER, ETC. | Nathaniel cannot sit still. No matter how hard he tries, he always has to be doing something or moving in one way or another. Over the years, he’s formed the habit of playing with his clothes to keep his hands occupied and to, ultimately, fulfill the urge to be moving. If he’s not messing with his clothes, his bouncing his leg or else he begins getting fidgety.
  113. GETTING POUTY, WHINY, AND CLINGY WHEN TIRED | Whenever Nathaniel starts getting really, truly tired, he becomes the most whiny and pouty person ever. He additionally climbs to the group member closest to him, proceeding to whine about being tired. It’s actually quite annoying though he’s super compliant and less insulting during this time, his only focus being on going to sleep.
  114. REVERTING TO FRENCH WHEN STRESSED OR UPSET (ANGRY, ANXIOUS, ETC.) | It’s not often that Nathan gets too incredibly upset but, when he does, no one can understand him. He reverts back to his native language, French, and rambles on about whatever is upsetting him, not that his group members would know since they can’t understand him (unless there’s another member who knows French). He didn’t realize he did this at first until he saw the strange looks he was getting the first time it happened. When he went to ask what was wrong, he realized that he asked the question in French and, voila, he found out about one of his habits.
  115. ALWAYS LOOKS IN WHATEVER REFLECTIVE SURFACE HE WALKS BY | Nathan knows that he isn’t the visual for no reason. He’s well-aware that’s he’s good-looking and somewhat takes his role as one of his group’s visuals seriously. So, he checks his reflection whenever there’s an opportunity since he feels like he should keep up a good appearance for the fans. He wouldn’t want to look bad in front of the cameras.
  116.
  117. » | hobbies:
  118. WRITING RAPS/SONGS | Ever since Nathaniel was a kid and first got into music, he’s been writing his own content. It’s an emotional outlet for him that he genuinely enjoys doing. Plus, he’s actually pretty good at it, having gained some popularity in school because of his skill.
  119. WATCHING COOKING SHOWS | Nathaniel loves to eat but this boy can’t cook for shit. Instead, he just watches cooking shows and daydreams about eating whatever food the contestants make. His favorites would have to Chopped and that one show where chefs “battle” Bobby Flay that Amanda can’t remember the name of.
  120. WRITING LETTERS | While texting and social media is the most common form of communication nowadays, Nathan loves writing letters. He finds it so much more thoughtful and it’s another outlet for his emotions. It’s often that he writes letters whenever he has the time, even if he never sends them. He writes them and stores them away in folder since a) they contain quite a few of his secrets and b) no one would want to read them anyways.
  121. PLAYING VIDEO GAMES | As with the majority of teenage boys, Nathan loves video games and has since he was a kid. Who wouldn’t like them though? They’re fun and serve as a great way to pass time. When he moved to Korea, his aunt was a bit reluctant to let him continuing playing but eventually gave in when she realized that it’d keep him from getting into any real trouble.
  122. COLLECTING CHAPSTICK | Oddly enough, Nathaniel collects chapstick and, yes, he wears it. Nobody would expect him, of all people, to collect chapstick, of all things, but he does and he loves it. He likes all the different “flavors” they come in and is an avid wearer of it, especially since his lips notoriously chap easily since his sickness-filled childhood.
  123.
  124. » | fears:
  125. BEING HATED | Yes, Nathaniel fears being hated. Sure, he can be quite annoying and a little piece of shit but he doesn’t want people to hate him, no one really wants that. That’s the primary reason that he’s so quick to realize when he goes overboard and apologize for it. He may enjoy messing with people but he doesn’t ever really mean to hurt their feelings or offend them. He would feel awful and guilty if he made someone cry. His fear is often bubbling to the surface and reminding him of its constant presence within his mind, sometimes being the source of his spacing out.
  126. DYING WITHOUT DIGNITY AND/OR A PURPOSE | Nathan has always been aware of all of the death around him since the night his death sense made itself known. It was only in his nature to wonder how the people/spirits he sensed die. The more he thought about it though, the more he realized he didn’t want to die a meaningless death. He wants his death to mean something, he wants his existence to have meant something. It’s become a legitimate fear for him at this point, the constant nagging in his mind having been one of the reasons leading to his audition for the entertainment company.
  127. AIRPLANES | Ever since his mother suddenly packed his bags and had him on a flight to a different country within hours, Nathaniel has had a fear of airplanes. It’s not just that simple though. Being so high in the air in a heavy, metal contraption is the worst thought for him. There’s so many negative possibilities when it comes to being in an airplane, the majority of those including dying. It terrifies him. Add on the turbulence and the actual feeling of being at a high altitude and Nathaniel will be trembling in fear.

  169. - Nathaniel has a mild feather allergy. He sneezes uncontrollably whenever he’s around anything with feathers, whether they’re authentic or not. This allergy is why he can’t sleep with down pillows despite how much he’d love to.
  170. - He hasn’t had any contact with either of his parents in a full five years. Since his mother shipped him off to Korea, he refuses to try to get in contact with her, having refused to speak to her the two times she’s called his aunt, her sister, within the past five years. His dad seemingly just disappeared seeing as he hadn’t even visited him before he left his home country. While he couldn’t give two shits about his mom, for the most part, he still feels bitter and hurt over his dad not coming to see him.
  171. - Nathan has always loved cats ever since he was a kid, even having his own before she died. He would love to get another but he just doesn’t have the time or the money to take care of a pet and he doubts his aunt would be willing to do so for him when he doesn’t even live at home anymore, instead living in the dorms.
  172. - Nathaniel is quite talkative yet also not very talkative at all. He’s always quick to jump into conversations but he’s not someone who starts them very often, preferring to just sit back and let others handle that unless things get or are awkward. Basically, he’s just good at breaking the ice and getting people to start conversations that he partakes in.
  173. - Nathaniel is pansexual. He never really figured this out until he moved to Korea but, as a kid, he’d always just figured that he’d marry the person he loved, not really showing preference on gender. His parents didn’t really care though, of course, but his aunt was very supportive when he revealed this to her. He has always spoken his mind and been blunt about it so it wasn’t really a surprise when he just dropped it on her but, luckily, she accepted it with a smile and words of support.
  174. - The only social media that Nathan has is Instagram and Snapchat, both of them being under the handle @nathanzhang, having purposefully left out his other last name because of his dislike towards his mother.
  175. - Nathaniel totally lets SON OF APHRODITE put makeup on him. He’s used to being a makeup guinea pig for his younger cousin, who was and still very much is obsessed with hair and makeup.
  176. - Nathan does not like winter at all since it was winter when he lost his cat and then discovered the first of his powers, which he figured surface at the death of something he held dear. Other than that, he has no problem with winter and rather enjoys the cold weather.
  177. - Nathaniel owns a Nintendo DS and that thing is his baby. He loves it so much and carries it with almost everywhere he goes so he can play Mario Kart whenever he’s bored. He gets very competitive whenever playing this and will resort to any means necessary to win.
  178. - Nathan had a huge crush on this guy in his grade who lived in the same apartment complex as his aunt. Being the straightforward and impulsive person he is, he told the guy but he only ended up with his feelings hurt and one less friend. He basically just dodged feelings now as much as he can, though sometimes he can’t help it and just accepts his fate.
  179. - Nathan is an undercover meme lord. He references memes all the time and often sends memes to his group members as reactions, their reaction in response usually being “i stg nathan”. Nobody would have ever really guessed considering he seems like a cool and funny guy but don’t ever judge a book by its cover.
  180. - One time, Nathan’s younger cousin, Minjae, talked him into giving her a haircut, claiming that her mom said he could. He wasn’t going to question a determined kid so he gave her a haircut. While it wasn’t the best, it wasn’t too bad either but he still got in trouble for doing it. Although, all they had to do was take the young girl to the salon and get the uneven parts trimmed and evened out.
  181. - Nathaniel is closer to his group members than most people would expect yet he still remains a little distant. He didn’t have a whole lot of social interaction until he moved to South Korea and he’s still gradually getting used to it. Constantly being in the group has helped with that though he still has a long way to go until he’s fully comfortable with so much social stuff.
  182. - Nathan is so determined to be liked by people that he fakes his sociable-ness. He’s a lot more antisocial than he lets on but he really wants friends so he pushes that down and plasters on a smile. He believes that if he fakes being sociable long enough than it’ll become real and a natural thing.
  183. - This boy loves spicy food. There’s no telling where this came from but Nathan has always loved anything even remotely spicy and often tries spicy foods and snacks that he’s never had before. It could almost be considered a hobby but he just thinks it’s a normal thing to eat stuff you like.
  184. - Nathaniel is probably one of the most unskilled dancers you’ll ever meet but he can kick ass at Just Dance. Give him a Wii remote and he’ll turn into a completely different person. This is because he always played different versions of it with his aunt and his younger cousin, when she got older, as a sort of bonding activity so I guess you can say he’s experienced.
  185. - Nathan is really, really good with children. His little cousin is seven years younger than him and he was so fascinated by her when he first moved in since he doesn’t have any siblings, that he knows about at least. He always spent a lot of time with Minjae and took care of her when his aunt and her husband were busy. Now, he’s just amazing with children, somehow drawing them in and always making them love him.

  218. Nathan was aware of the whole Wrath of the Gods thing but he wasn’t too concerned about it. He was stuck in a small apartment in France when it happened so he doesn’t see why he should care anyways. Besides, he’s the son of a god and it’s not like he fits into society anyways. He only really auditioned for TS Entertainment because he was asked by an upperclassman to go along with her. He figures she just didn’t want to be alone if they were both accepted. Other than that, he really doesn’t have a reason for becoming an idol, except maybe wanting to die a somewhat meaningful death.

  230. Nathaniel’s style of rap is a mix of Jooheon’s from Monsta X and Zico’s from Block B. He has a very fast and unique style of rap. He always delivers his lines clearly yet in a way that never gets boring, making it a little different every time he gets in front of a microphone. This is due to having listened to and covered many songs from a young age, after he got his laptop, to now. He always used the rappers own styles when covering their songs and eventually developed his own unique rap style.

  234. » | style of dance:
  235. Nathaniel is not that great of a dancer. He usually has a really good memory when it comes to memorizing his raps but he’s absolute shit when it comes to memorizing dance moves. He’s always the last to learn their choreographies and always feels really out of place among his group members whenever he’s dancing with them. On a good day, he can make it look like he knows the choreography and actually belongs there but, otherwise, he looks a little awkward in one way or another.
  236.
  237. » | other talents:
  238. - He can rap in both French and English though he cannot speak English, only understand it enough to rap it.
  239. - While he isn’t the best at dancing on stage to his groups choreographies, he’s the undefeated king at multiple versions of Just Dance.
  240. - He has a flexible vocal range and can do a few voice impressions that are somewhat accurate. The flexibility helps with making his raps more unique though he has no singing talent.

  243. When Nathaniel is on stage, he is in the zone. He’s focused and intense compared to his usual lighthearted, teasing persona off stage. He delivers his lines clearly and makes sure to please the crowd with his performance, even if his dancing isn’t the best. For him, all that matters is how much the fans enjoy it.
  244. » | how they act off stage but on camera:
  245. When Nathaniel is on camera off the stage, he’s the same as he usually except a lot more bubbly and nicer to his group members. He acts like he doesn’t constantly mess with them though he will tease them a bit on camera as fanservice since he knows a lot of fans love that kind of thing. He always tries to speak in a clearer voice, which is difficult because of his thick French accent, so he always ends speaking in a proper way.
  246. » | how they act off stage and off camera:
  247. Once Nathaniel is off the stage and off camera, he’s instantly reverting to his usual self. He doesn’t hesitate to start teasing his group members about things they did or said on camera. (“Aw, so you really admire my rapping skills?” “Fuck off.” / “That was smooth, grabbing my ass all secretively on camera, but I’m not into you that way hyung, sorry.” “My hand barely touched your ass.”) It’s great, really, to see him finally drop the sickeningly bubbly act and proper speaking to mess with his group members again.

  252.
  253. » | hardships and struggles as an trainee/idol:
  254. While Nathaniel was quite popular in school, it seemed like the popularity didn’t follow him into the trainee program. He was more often than not looked down on for his thick French accent that often overpowered his words so that he didn’t always speak clearly. He couldn’t really help it but the trainers didn’t care and called him out in front of everyone for it. After that experience as a trainee, he started making a conscious effort once he debuted to speak more clearly on camera so fans and viewers could understand.
  255. Another hardship Nathaniel faced was not being from Korea. Sure, he was half-Korean, spoke Korean, and was of Korean nationality but that half-Chinese part of him and his French dual nationality seemed to “outshine” all of that. Time and time again was he taunted by fellow trainees and trainers alike for his home country and the other half of his ethnicity, two things that he couldn’t help. It was often that they called slurs at him to get his attention instead of his name, those also referring to his lack of talent in vocals and dance.
  256. Nathaniel was a fast speaker which made him to be a good rapper but he had no other talent or skill other than that. He can’t sing at all and he isn’t the best dancer you’ll see. No matter how many vocal lessons he attended he just couldn’t even pull off that he had any kind of singing talent, leading to his trainers looking down on him seeing as he was surrounded by plenty of people who could easily be triple threats. Additionally, it always took him the longest to learn choreographies and actually make it look like he can keep up well, which hasn’t changed after his debut with Royalty.
  257. One of the biggest hardships Nathaniel faced being a demigod. Not for actually being one but because of who his father is and the fact that he, well, bragged about how close he and father were. It’s not a huge surprise that people wouldn’t like the God of Death himself but apparently a lot more disliked him than Nathan had initially expected. I mean, who wouldn’t dislike him? He’s the one who makes sure bitches actually die when they are supposed to and there’s no telling how many people hold a vendetta against him for “taking” their loved ones from them. Apparently, some people were determined to take out their grudges against his son because Nathaniel constantly got shit for it. Eventually, he just gave up trying to get them to leave him along and instead began bragging about how much time he and his father had spent together, making him out to be the amazing person he’d thought he was as a child. Yeah, uh, let’s just say he still has some enemies, who haven’t debuted yet, within the trainee program.

  263. NECROMANCY | 6 OUT OF 10
  264. Necromancy is one of the powers that Nathaniel is fairly alright at. While it wasn’t his first power to be discovered, it was his second and he honestly hates it with every fiber of his being. That‘s partially because of the fact that his father literally took him on a multiple little field trips to a cemetery to teach it to him and train him. The other reason is that raising the dead and communicating with them isn’t exactly his favorite thing to do. He’s a firm believer that if it’s dead then it needs to stay dead. He was nine years old when he first discovered and began learning how to use this power and, frankly, he sucked at it, which would be expected of a rookie, but it was mainly because he had no desire to really use it. The first time he successfully raised someone from the dead, he was terrified and ended up puking everywhere because it isn’t exactly a pretty sight. After that experience, and four more in which he raised a person, he decided to just stick to raising animals despite having gotten pretty good at it. Other than that, communicating with an apparition of a dead person wasn’t actually that bad for him seeing as all he was doing was talking to see-through people, who were all often grouchy at being disturbed. While Nathaniel had a deep dislike for necromancy and having to put up with his father, Xiaodan was actually a pretty good teacher and was surprisingly patient with him though he always threw sarcastic comments in with his advice.
  265.
  266. SUMMONING SPIRITS | 4 OUT OF 10
  267. Nathaniel was ten years old when he began training with this power. His father had already suspected that he would have this power when he saw how quickly he advanced in necromancy so it was no surprise when his son accidentally summoned a spirit when he was rambling on to him about the new rap he wrote. Luckily for Nathaniel, he was already used to raising and communicating with apparitions though it was bit unnerving to have a spirit suddenly appear in his room. When his dad began training him in this, he kind of had a hard time because he was used to being surrounded by dead people in a cemetery, which made summoning/raising apparitions easier since their residual energy sometimes lingered there and it usually made it a lot easier. He was being trained to summon from somewhere without that extra boost of help and he found it frustrating but he eventually got the hang of it. He’s still not the best at it though and would honestly rather not do it unless it was absolutely necessary.
  268.
  269. INVISIBILITY | 3 OUT OF 10
  270. When Nathaniel moved to South Korea, he felt so uncomfortable and out of place. He was surrounded by a language and culture he didn’t understand and wasn’t familiar with. At one point, only a month or two after he moved to Korea, it all got so overwhelming for him and he completely broke down. His aunt was in the living room and opted to stay in his room that day, not having enough motivation to go out. All of his thoughts and all of the stress just caught up to him at once he was a mess of tears and self-deprecating mumbles. All he wished in that moment was to just disappear, with all his might he wished he could disappear so he didn’t have to suffer anymore. His aunt had heard his crying and peeked in to check on him, only to be alarmed that she couldn’t see him but she could sure as hell hear him and see the lump under the covers.
  271. As it turns out, Nathaniel had the ability to turn himself invisible though he can’t hold it for very long at all, ten minutes maximum. Additionally, he feels really nauseous and gets a really bad migraine whenever he holds it for too long so he never holds for the full ten minutes that he knows he can. He’s had absolutely no real training with this power seeing as he hadn’t been in contact with his father so he just trained himself however he could, leading to the very little skill he has in using it.
  272.
  273. DEATH SENSE | ?? OUT OF 10
  274. This was the first “power” Nathaniel discovered that he had and it was a terrifying experience for him. It presented itself while he was sleeping and he thought that it was a nightmare, the heavy, overwhelming feeling making him feel suffocated. To his horror, the feeling didn’t go away when he woke up screaming. After this, his father finally told him everything, from him being a god to Nathan being a demigod along with the fact he probably had other powers as well. Being able to sense death wasn’t exactly something his father could train him on considering it’s a sense, not an actual power or skill. The only thing Nathaniel was told was to not constantly shut it out or else it’ll wear down on his mind but to not always be too open to it since there was always going to be death and sensing it too much could temporarily drain him of sanity and energy. So, the kid was basically on his own when it came to this. He managed though and has gotten okay at blocking it out yet also keeping it “open” enough that so that he could still somewhat sense death, just not to an extent where he’d be consumed with terror again. He’s honestly not all that good at it and he often gets fidgety, hence his habit for always having to be doing something. Although, he’s managed to retain his sanity this long so he likes to convince himself that he’s doing something right. He has even less control of it when he’s sleeping so it’s not exactly unusual that he’ll be yanked out of sleep from the sudden onslaught of death on his senses, more so than normal.
  275.
  276. » | experience with weapons/fighting styles:
  277. — So, AJ said something about them learning this shit as a trainee so that’s how I wrote it but I’ll change it if it doesn’t work.
  278. Nathaniel had no experience with weapons or fighting until he became a trainee. He should have expected what he and his few friends as a trainee called “warrior training” but he hadn’t and he was nowhere near prepared. It was pretty grueling for him, having learn to use a weapon and learn a fighting style. In the end, he chose two weapons and two fighting “styles”: daggers and a bō staff and jiu-jitsu and boxing. He actually got pretty good with the bō staff and enjoys practicing with it but his trainers often told him that it’d be ineffective if he were on Sacrificial Lamb and that he needed to choose another weapon as well as fighting styles. He didn’t really care but still began learning how to use a dagger, eventually stepping that up to two when he figured out that he doesn’t like having one hand free when using a weapon. He also started training in both jiu-jitsu and boxing, using boxing mainly as a way to build up his strength rather than to actually fight with. He struggled a bit in jiu-jitsu seeing as the class he was put in was already pretty far along but that only made him more determined to catch up, eventually doing so.

  284. » | how do they feel about being on sacrificial lamb?:
  285. Nathaniel really doesn’t even care about it. At this point in his life, he doesn’t feel like he has any reason or have any will to live anyways, unless his attachment to SON OF ELPIS counts. He does think it’s a pretty shitty way to fulfill the gods’ need to be worshipped. Why not just pray to them and build them a few temples? Is sacrificing people, who are all relatively young, to them really the right way to go about it? It’s such a confusing thing for Nathan that he doesn’t concern himself with it. The way he looks at it is if he gets on that show and is killed, he’s dead and if gets on the show and survives, he’s alive. While he’d prefer to die in order to avoid his own hardships in life, he has no plans to just sit back and let it happen. He won’t be going down without a fight seeing as, in his eyes, that’s cowardly.
  286.
  287. » | how would your character react to killing someone? what if s/he was close to that person? what if s/he had to do it to survive or to save someone they are close with?:
  288. If Nathaniel killed someone, he’d probably be really guilty about it but he wouldn’t let that show. Like, it’d happen and he’d looked shocked for a few moments that he actually did something like that before he’s instantly pushing it all behind a mask of his usual sarcastic, unserious personality. Although, he would probably get over it easier if he had a good reason for doing it such as saving someone he’s close to, which would be the only other reason he’d kill someone besides self-defense. There’s no telling if he’d actually be able to kill someone he’s close to. He’s honestly not close to many people outside of his group members, if anyone at all, so he’d be really torn and would probably refuse to kill one of his group members.
  289.
  290. » | how would your character react to watching someone die? what if s/he was close to that person?:
  291. I think watching someone die would have little to no effect on Nathan unless he was close to that person. He literally trained in a cemetery and rose people from the dead, said people being in a lot worse shape than a freshly killed body. Death is something he’s just so used to that it doesn’t bother him as much as it probably should. Now, if someone in his group, mostly SON OF ELPIS, were to die in front of him, he wouldn’t be able to handle it. He’d probably fall off the edge instantly and be desperate to bring that person back, to save them from something pretty inevitable. His dad is pretty much in charge of making sure people die or whatever so he’d be begging and pleading for him to not take that person from him as he’s trying to use whatever power he can focus on long enough to keep that person “alive” or at least held there long enough for his father to answer his plea. It’d also give him all the more reason to hate his father if Xiaodan were to just ignore Nathan and bypass is power, which is much weaker than his, for that person to die. He would be torn up about it for so long before he finally found the resolve to push it back and hide it behind a mask though it’d still be a weak point for him, the temptation to let himself be killed to join that person being all too appealing.
  292.
  293. » | would your character sabotage someone else? what if it was to save someone s/he is close to? how would s/he react if that caused the person’s death?:
  294. Nathaniel would definitely sabotage someone else. He messes with people all the time and sabotaging is only a few steps away from that so he wouldn’t be too against doing it. If it were to save someone he’s close to, he’d be even more willing and probably excited to sabotage someone. That is one thing he will not tolerate: the people he’s close to being threatened. If it caused that person’s death in the end, he honestly would not care. Better them than his friends. He would probably honestly sabotage someone for the pure purpose of killing them if it came down to his friends’ lives being on the line.
