  1. Sentient energy.
  2. A little before the fall, Aduro Industries was one of the first and few to pioneer what they claimed to be sentient elementals and energy beings, as a counter to Umbra Corp’s newly unveiled creations of flesh and monsters. Aduro created beings of light, fire, or even whirling sands. Some have speculated this was simply them using nanites and microcomputers to manipulate energy, however no traces of such are ever found from downed or destroyed beings. From small things like “fairies” or “willowisps” who could watch children (to their chagrin, quite annoying really going “HEY” everytime they sensed even the smallest danger”) to incredibly powerful “Angels” or “Afreets” with swords of light or who could shoot flames from their fingertips. Some could guard entire cities and change the course of battles. One of the most powerful was a “Jinn” who incorporated the energy-synthesis and solid hologram technology and could make creations on a whim.
  3.
  4. Aduro Industries was famous for their numerous PR stunts. “Don’t hide a light under a bushel” was another company motto.
  5.
  6. An incomplete list of PR stunts:
  7. -Project Space Wars. A sensational event when every single vehicle and weapon from the hit movie series were brought to life. Entire battles movies would often be enacted in front of a live, shielded audience.
  8.
  9. -Project Specter Breakers. Another publicity stunt, though this one largely per accident. A computer error unleashed several low level energy beings . Deformed, weak, but no less terrifying , Aduro Industries risked a catastrophic public scandal. In response, a team was sent with patented inverse plasma vacuums to collect them. The team’s popularity exploded and were immediately dubbed Specter Breakers by the public. The resulting wave of popularity was so great, several more “accidents” are reported to have occurred. One story involves the team stopping a Jinn possessing a giant cereal mascot and romping through the streets of New Megacity.
  10.
  11. -Project Trahn – Cycles which could generate a solid field of light behind it. Original purpose was for fencing area’s, but records indicate it was somehow incorporated into a type of vehicular combat sport
  12.
  13. -Project Porry Hatter – A combative sporting event where users would bring personal energy inventions to duke it out on an expansive playing field. In short time, the contestants seemed to develop an idea that they were wizards of science. Mr. Light was often known to compete in these himself.
  14.
  15. Theories and company myth’s on Mr. Light’s fate:
  16. -That he still lives to this day, traveling the world and sometimes helping the remnants of his company or civilizations light up the world.
  17. -The ‘sphere of light’ he carried with him all his life consumed him and his soul before the fall.
  18. When the otherworldly generator was activated, it and the entire laboratory that housed it vanished to another dimension, along with Mr. Light
  19. -That he was cryogenically frozen in Carlson World (presumably directly under the “It’s a Bright World After All” or the “Big Thunder and Lightning Mountain” ride).
  20. -That Selgorashish the Abonimable opened up a rift to our world and Mr. Light went to battle him on his own plain of existence (note, this is a more minority viewpoint)
