  19. Kaorin Sakura:  Yes.
  20. Trulhammaren:   what does that mean for injury healz and such as no pokecenter?

  32. Trulhammaren:   k
  33. Chloe:  She is capable of getting it.
  34. Chloe:  And likely will be. Around level 9 or 11.
  35. DNA:    We are level 9 right now.
  36.         Valerie Ylsef:  Valerie Ylsef has had it's Attack modified by 1 stages.

  39.         Valerie Ylsef:  Valerie Ylsef has had it's Accuracy modified by 1 stages.

  42. Trulhammaren:   dun dun dun
  43. DNA:    I have 1 bandage and an unknown amount of berries; I'll probably...hm.
  44. DNA:    i'll apply 1 to Natasha and rest the others off, so we'll both have 1 injury left after that.
  45. Trulhammaren:   I have 3 poultice if you need one
  46. DNA:    If you're willing to spare 2, that's totally awesome, but use them on yourself first

  48. Trulhammaren:   -2 poultice

  61.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe, Alsine and Miss Nobody shared the truck.
  62. Trulhammaren:   I think that was the plan yes
  63. DNA:    All right, just double-checkin'.
  64. DNA:    should we start in 8 minutes, or actually wait for Avara to get back? (I'm down with whatever.)
  65. Trulhammaren:   same, either way we are waiting for KAo's weather update
  66. Kaorin Sakura:  Did anyone wanna do a recap?
  67. Kaorin Sakura:  I have the stupid weather of evil.
  68. DNA:    I hate your stupid weather of evil and I haven't even seen it yet.
  69. DNA:    Anyway...
  70. Trulhammaren:   oh right I need to relook at Florice
  71. DNA:    Someone correct me if I miss stuff, because I will. After finding Miss Nobody after making a detour at the doctor's place (and getting cures, though only 5, so not enough for all the humans and mons), we agree to take the truck up over to Cerulean (?) and drop it off.
  72. DNA:    may or may not be stopping by fairview to bring the doctor back to esterhedge. depends on if we have time. (I want to, personally, but...)
  73. Trulhammaren:   that's what I remember
  74. * DNA 's brain is all but fried at this point. He's been looking forward to this just to unwind and forget he has cares in the world.
  75. * Trulhammaren decides to go with his original plan for Florice and test the other things some other time
  76. Kaorin Sakura:  Okay. I'll drop the bomb and then you guys can tell me what you're up to.
  77. Kaorin Sakura:  Descriptopn: Dragon's Breath
  78. Temperature: Extreme Cold
  79. High: -26F (-33C)
  80. Low: -42F (-42C)
  81. Relative: Normal
  82. Wind Force: Moderate
  83. Wind Speed: 20 mpg (32 kph)
  85. Dragon's Breath: Gusts of hot air blow out of the northwest, accompanied by wisps of flame. Dragon's breath has a 50% chance of igniting candles, torches, tinder, loose paper, and similar flammable objects every half hour.
  87. Fire attacks gain a +1 damage base bonus and grass suffer a -1 damage base penalty. Every three rounds in combat all non-Fire Type creatures lose 1/10th of their Max Hit Points at the start of their turn. Grass Type creatures lose 1/5th of their Max Hit Points instead. Outside of combat this effect not apply.
  89. Severe Cold: An unprotected character in cold weather (below 40°F) must make a Fortitude check every 10 minutes (DC 15, + 1 per previous check) or take DB6 points of ice damage.
  90. A character with at least Adept Nature Education gains a +3 bonus to this check and may apply this bonus to other characters as well. Characters immune to hail weather need only make this check once every hour for cold and exposure damage.
  91. A character who takes any ice damage from cold or exposure is beset by frostbite or hypothermia (treat her as slowed and gain 1 injury). These penalties end when the character recovers the ice damage she took from the cold and exposure.
  92. Ice damage from cold or exposure cannot be recovered until the character gets out of the cold and warms up again.
  93. Time: February 12th, 1549. 08:25 Thursday.
  94. DNA:    Lemme c/p that into notepad...
  95. Kaorin Sakura:  Wait, (below 40F) should be (below 0F))
  96. Kaorin Sakura:  Otherwise, yes. That's it.
  97. DNA:    So there's severe cold...and dragonfire weather.
  98. DNA:    What the shit.
  99. Trulhammaren:   trade winds?
  100.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe watched a wisp of flame strike the truck's window, dispersing harmlessly off the frost-caked glass. "... it's a good day to have a vehicle..." she mumbled, rousing.
  101.         Saturn Rosewell:        "Wh-wh-wh-what the crap! It's f-f-f-f-freezing out and n-n-now there's FIRE!?"
  102.         Saturn Rosewell:        "Th-th-this can't be r-r-r-real... It d-d-d-defies sense..."
  103.         Valerie Ylsef:  "This is super confusing...."
  104.         Alsine Kolstad:         Alsine had awoken before Chloe, as servants strive to do, and was resting in the front seat of the truck. Her master still tucked in bed.
  105.         Chloe Blanchett:        "... I'm sure everyone will get here 'ventually..." Chloe frowned at the window, she didn't care to go outside to meet them.
  106.         Jones McAvery:  Jones McAvery can be found standing outside in a black leather lab coat staring off into the northwestern horizon.
  107. * Saturn Rosewell huddled up in her corner again. She looked like she'd been crying.
  108.         Chloe Blanchett:        ((Where's everyone?))
  109.         Chronicler:     Characters who are not Inbee, Chloe or Alsine were invited to rest at the barracks.
  110. DNA:    Therefore, that was where I was resting. I guess we'd go outside in the morning.
  111. * Valerie Ylsef walks outside ready to head toward the truck, but stops.
  112.         Valerie Ylsef:  "What do you make of this Mr. Boss Man
  113.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe glanced to the other bed, to see if Nobody was there.
  114. * Valerie Ylsef says to Jones as she sees him.
  115. DNA:    ...? oh, this isn't BC, carry on Trul
  116. DNA:    "to see if Nobody was there"
  117. DNA:    good one
  118.         Jones McAvery:  Jones McAvery turns to Valerie briefly, "The fucking fires of hell? I don't have a clue. Never seen shit like this in my life."
  119.         Miss Nobody 'Inbee':    Miss Nobody 'Inbee' is not found in the truck.
  120.         Valerie Ylsef:  "Right bloody odd isn't it. Well I better go grab the others so we can get out of your hair."
  121. * Saturn Rosewell felt extremely uncomfortable. And unwanted. She wanted to desperately get out of here, or even to disappear.
  122.         Jones McAvery:  "Heading to the northeast, right? Let's hope what this is remains to the northwest. Best be careful out there."
  123.         Valerie Ylsef:  "Will do!"
  124.         Chloe Blanchett:        "Hm, not here..." Chloe said under her breath.
  125. * Valerie Ylsef wanders back to the barracks."
  126.         Valerie Ylsef:  "Saturn, Ro we better head out while the gettin is good, this weather is extremely worrisome."
  127.         Saturn Rosewell:        "............all right..." Saturn's voice was extremely quiet.
  128.         Valerie Ylsef:  "You gonna be alright girly?"
  129.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe checks the back of the truck to see which ones woke up and which bodies have started rotting (if any had).
  130.         Saturn Rosewell:        "......not until I know Natasha and Finch are cured."
  131. * Saturn Rosewell kept looking away.
  132.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe rubbed her forehead before re-entering the warmth of the truck.
  133.         Valerie Ylsef:  "Don't you worry, we are gonna find the Doc and get everything sorted."
  134.         Miss Nobody 'Inbee':    Miss Nobody 'Inbee' re-enters the truck from atop it and shivers, rubbing her arms in an attempt to warm up, "Oh, hello there. Where are your friends?"
  135.         Chloe Blanchett:        "They're wherever they found a place to stay." Chloe said, pulling a blanket from the bed and handing it to Inbee. "I haven't heard from anyone yet."
  136.         Saturn Rosewell:        "Just......keep that bit to yourself, okay Valerie?"
  137.         Saturn Rosewell:        "L-L-L-L-Let's just g-g-go. I can't really s-s-s-stand to be here anym-m-more."
  138.         Miss Nobody 'Inbee':    Miss Nobody 'Inbee' wraps herself up with the blanket and sits down in the drivers seat, "We gonna wait for them?"
  139.         Valerie Ylsef:  "Alright."
  140.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe nodded, "I'll look if they're not here in the next half hour. I'm sure they're just getting ready for the new day."
  141. * Valerie Ylsef heads out with Saturn and Ro to teh truck.
  142. * Saturn Rosewell walked outside, noticing the weather and being thoroughly displeased by it.
  143.         Saturn Rosewell:        "J-J-J-Just tell me where to s-s-sit."
  144.         Alsine Kolstad:         "Gelieve bewegen over Chloe , zullen we moeten om ruimte te maken."
  145.         Alsine Kolstad:         Alsine moved to the bed with Chloe, sliding next to her.
  146. * Valerie Ylsef hops in the back of the Truck.
  147.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe waves through the window as she sees everyone!
  148.         Chronicler:     The doors to the truck are unlocked.
  149. * Saturn Rosewell waves softly, but doesn't make eye contact. She just finds a corner in the back of the truck, sits down, and huddles up for warmth, arms hugging her legs.
  150.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe grabs the other blanket from the other bed (having given the one she was personally warming up to Inbee) "Here, wrap up okay?"
  151. DNA:    ^Who's that directed towards? Inbee?
  152.         Chronicler:     The cab of the tractor is pleasantly warm - protected from the harsh weather outside.
  153.         Chloe Blanchett:        ((Saturn))
  154.         Saturn Rosewell:        "I'll be f-f-f-fine." She didn't even look up.
  155. DNA:    Natasha wasn't out either, possibly on purpose, because of risk of infection.
  156.         Chloe Blanchett:        "I know, but it helps. I've bene in here all night, I don't envy you."
  157.         Miss Nobody 'Inbee':    "Alright, all here? Should I begin the drive to Cerulean or are there other stops we need to make?"
  158.         Chloe Blanchett:        "I think this is everyone... but our passengers in back aren't handling the weather well. I'm not sure if any of them will survive even as far as fairview."
  159.         Miss Nobody 'Inbee':    "Well, all things considered I don't know what to say. Where we are won't take them - hell they'd probably be blamed for it. And just dumping them somewhere safe isn't exactly an option. What should we do?"
  160.         Valerie Ylsef:  "Just keep going. If they don't make it to fairview then they don't make it to Farview."
  161.         Valerie Ylsef:  "Not a whole lot we can do on the matter."
  162.         Miss Nobody 'Inbee':    Miss Nobody 'Inbee' starts up the tractor and nods, "Can do. We should make it there soon-ish. Issssh."
  163.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe took the blanket that Saturn refused and brought it to the back trailer, throwing it over the still living. She returned quietly.
  164. DNA:    (Assuming that Rochette is in the truck somewhere. We'll keep going, I assume.)
  165.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((in the back with me I assume))
  166.         Chronicler:     The drive to Fairview will take 2.5 hours. Anyone have anything they want to do during that time?
  167. * Valerie Ylsef lets out Mãya to help the passengers in the back deal with the cold. ((go go adept nature edu!))
  168. DNA:    I can do command sessions during that time. I think.
  169.         Chronicler:     Yes.
  170. DNA:    Not sure if having Natasha or Finch out will prompt infection checks.
  171.         Chronicler:     Only because vehicle.
  172.         Chloe Blanchett:        Nothing for now, just trying not to get cramps
  173.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((might do crafting, gotta pull up book first though))
  174.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((probably won't though))
  175. DNA:    ...I should have said that was a question to the GM. I apologize for not implying it well enough.
  176.         Chronicler:     It might. But it'd be hidden checks.
  177.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((shant craft))
  178. DNA:    In that case, I'm going to hold off entirely.
  179. DNA:    until we can visit the doctor and get fully cured. I can wait to train.
  180.         Chronicler:     'kay.
  181. Avara has connected.
  182. Trulhammaren:   I can't wait until the crafting stuff is in a decent format in the book, what Dan did is wonky as hell
  183. DNA:    The green tables and whatnot, you mean?
  184. Trulhammaren:   just how it is all put together
  185. DNA:    I was able to read them just fine, though a few could have been better. I could certainly get the info I needed from them, at least.
  186. Trulhammaren:   format for stuff is just scattered
  187. Trulhammaren:   and I don't like that, makes looing for stuff difficult
  188.         Chronicler:     Whelp, very uneventful trip due to the weather.
  189.         Chronicler:     1-50. STUFF. *rolls 58*
  190. DNA:    Didn't I predict it was going to be a 58 once?
  191. Trulhammaren:   maybe?
  192.         Chronicler:     Prrrrobably.
  193. DNA:    I am going to go look.
  194. DNA:    Why does almost every file come up...
  195.         Chronicler:     Your group drives to the town of Fairview. The Dragon's Breath seems to just barely hit the town. Only two people are outside in the town. A woman who you've never seen before and Prudence, the town law bringer.
  196.         Miss Nobody 'Inbee':    Miss Nobody 'Inbee' stops the truck and places it into park. She turns to all of you and smiles, "I'll wait here. Let moi know when you're ready to embark, alrighty?"
  197.         Rochette:       "Alright, miss." She nods, disembarking from the truck. She looks over to the lawbringer and the woman, waving to each.
  198. * Saturn Rosewell nods quietly, and exits.
  199.         Prudence Prewitt:       "Ah! It's....uhm, you. Miss Higsby. What brings you to town at this terrible time?"
  200.         Chloe Blanchett:        "Should I come along?" Chloe asked. "I'm not sure if I need anything."
  201. * Valerie Ylsef hops out of the truck and heads over to the job board to see if there is any info on bounties, and how the Vertwyvern job affected their groups rank.
  202.         Rochette:       "You need to see the doctor if he's here, Chloe."
  203.         Rochette:       She looks to Prudence, and bows. "Is something wrong, other than the weather?"
  204. Prudence Prewitt: (( Ah, yes. Job board. Just a tick. ))
  205. * Saturn Rosewell is going to be looking around for the doctor. That is her first priority.
  206.         Chloe Blanchett:        "Tell me if you find him," Were Chloe's final words.
  207. Avara:  ooh~ ominous word choice
  208.         Chloe Blanchett:        She waited in the truck, stretching out with her newfound space.
  209.         Saturn Rosewell:        (GM, do I need to make any checks for looking in buildings, or will I eventually find him if poking around enough? Or do I have to ask someone?)
  210. Prudence Prewitt:       Tony Hughes - Cerulean City
  212. There's a shifty thief I ran onto on the road who mugged me and stole a family heirloom. I managed to get a name on the feller and his name is Keller. He's got a hefty bounty on his head and wanted more dead than alive - go figure. Anyway, the heirloom is a ring. It has the Hughes name engraved inside of the band. Last I saw Keller he was heading toward the Kanto Power Plant from Snowmeadow Village. Get my ring back, please!
  213.         Chronicler:     Asking around would be the best bet as there's only two people currently out and about in town. Everyone else is, likely, indoors. So you'll need to tell me where you check. (The fairview map is still a thing)
  214. Avara:  ((asked the officer if there was anything particular that was bad aside from the weather))
  215.         Prudence Prewitt:       "Nah, the weather is the only creepy thing happening in town.'
  216.         Josephine St.Pierre:    Josephine St.Pierre finally speaks up, "Though where it comes from is a major concern."
  217.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((assuming that was all on teh bounty front?))
  218.         Rochette:       "There's a particular source?"
  219.         Josephine St.Pierre:    "It appears to be coming from the Forest of Fate, if my directions are right. Which are where our last inspections of Void Pockets occured."
  220.         Prudence Prewitt:       "Assuming, of course, it is coming from the Forest of Fate and not beyond it. It's wind. It's origin could be closer or further than that."
  221. * Valerie Ylsef wanders back over to where Ro and the rest were.
  222. Rochette:       "... I see..." she mumbles, thinking about it. "Well, weather rarely stops adventurers, in my experience. We're on our way past to Cerulean, but we wanted to see if someone we knew who was coming here arrived yet."
  223.         Josephine St.Pierre:    "We've only had one visitor recently. Were you looking for Harkness?"
  224.         Rochette:       ((that's the professor's name, right?))
  225.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((think so))
  226. DNA:    Norman Harkness, yes.
  227.         Rochette:       "That's the one."
  228.         Saturn Rosewell:        "You found him!?" Saturn exclaimed, suddenly vibrant. "Where is he?"
  229.         Josephine St.Pierre:    Josephine St.Pierre turned to Prudence and raised an eyebrow.
  230.         Prudence Prewitt:       "They're cool, founder. They investigated the VP incident for you."
  231.         Josephine St.Pierre:    "Harkness has been staying with Gloria since the weather turned for the worst."
  232.         Rochette:       "Alright. Thank you, ma'am." ((i think we DID meet josephine when we left this town. gave us shiny things?))
  233. DNA:    (We did, yeah. Gemstones n shiz.)
  234.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((doesn't recall shiny things from this town))
  235.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((oh right the gems))
  236. DNA:    (One of which I used up to rewrite that pillar.)
  237.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((right the gems and perfume and other random stuff))
  238. * Rochette will head to Gloria's, knocking on the door.
  239. * Saturn Rosewell will follow quietly behind.
  240.         Valerie Ylsef:  "I guess I'll handle the issue we have in the truck then....."
  241. Avara:  can saturn handle talking to the doc? need to step away for a moment.
  242.         Valerie Ylsef:  "So boss ladies! We have ourselves some ruffians we picked up back when, any idea where we could get rid of them. Kind of a kill first ask questions never kind of gang."
  243. DNA:    If that is acceptable to the GM, I will handle talking to the doctor.
  244.         Gloria Dance:   Gloria Dance welcomes Saturn!
  245. Gloria Dance:   "Welcome~Welcome~Welcome to Mug Orchar---ohai missie!"
  246.         Saturn Rosewell:        "D-D-Doctor Harkness! Is he here!?" Saturn was speaking really quickly, as if excited or worried, or both. Her eyes were still puffy and red.
  247.         Josephine St.Pierre:    "Ruffians? Uh, preferably not here. If they're the kill first ask questions never kind either someone no one would miss them or a city that handles that sort of thing I'd guess."
  248. Avara:  ((back earlier than anticipated, but i would like to see saturn handle this anyway if that's ok?)
  249.         Gloria Dance:   "Ah~Hmm~ Yes, yes indeed he is. He's snugglin' the kidlet. Would you like me to fetch him for you?"
  250.         Saturn Rosewell:        "...I...I really need to talk to him...please."
  251. DNA:    (That's fine. It might actually be rather amusing.)
  252.         Valerie Ylsef:  "Dang..really wish Mister Reginald was around to answer some questions...."
  253.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((rubs the magic genie lamp! >.> ))
  254.         Gloria Dance:   Gloria Dance goes off into the back of the shop.
  255.         Norman Harkness:        Norman Harkness later returns with a small bundle of blankets in his arms and tilts his head as he lays eyes on Saturn, "...?"
  256.         Saturn Rosewell:        "Doctor! You're here! And alive! I...the Pokemon...and Esterhedge...and the village...and..." She was speaking too fast for her brain to keep up, her eyes started watering up.
  257.         Saturn Rosewell:        "I...I'm sorry! I didn't mean to, I forgot I promised..."
  258.         Norman Harkness:        Norman Harkness raises an eyebrow and tilts his head the other way, "Words. Try using them. If they don't work right away, take a moment to remember you have to breath to live. Don't worry, I can wait." Norman Harkness smiles and straightens his neck, apparently waiting for you to gather yourself.
  259. * Saturn Rosewell takes a deep breath - no, several - trying to organize her thoughts and speak without crying.
  260.         Saturn Rosewell:        "Well...first, we got to your house, but you'd already left. Your wife gave us some of the cures you had, but there were only enough for us trainers. We kept 1 of them unused. Our Pokemon need to be treated as well..."
  261.         Saturn Rosewell:        "...and...I know I promised not to talk about you to Esterhedge! I'm so sorry! I accidentally mentioned your name! I didn't tell them where you were...I didn't mean to mention you, I swear!"
  262.         Saturn Rosewell:        "...it's all my fault, it's all my fault..."
  263.         Norman Harkness:        "I have the facilities here to synthesize more. You don't need to worry about that." Norman Harkness huffs a bit, "Though I am a bit upset about Esterhedge learning of me, whatever that means, after I left. But, I don't think they'll come to Fairview looking for me. At least, not en masse. No harm, no foul amiright?" Norman Harkness chuckles heartilly before tilting his head again, "So, why don't you tell me what's got you all hyperventillating and we can sort it out, hm?"
  264.         Saturn Rosewell:        "They...they just asked that if we saw you again, ask you to stop by there again. I just said your name by accident, that's all, I swear..."
  265.         Saturn Rosewell:        "...I...I'm sorry. In my rush to find you again for the sake of my Pokemon, I totally ignored your wishes."
  266.         Saturn Rosewell:        "...but the village, Vertwyvern, they wanted to see you again as well... and the plague...it's gone. We eliminated its source."
  267.         Saturn Rosewell:        "I'd ask you to go to Vertwyvern to check up on them, but...I can't force you, not in good conscience, not when you're like this..."
  268.         Norman Harkness:        "Sure I can."
  269.         Norman Harkness:        "All I need is a Steelix or something. Josephine might have one."
  270. * Saturn Rosewell had stopped talking. It was like she stunned herself into silence.
  271.         Norman Harkness:        Norman Harkness looks up at the ceiling in thought, "...could have it tunnel me a direct path from here to the stone hedge. Grab Cherrel and then tunnel to Vert. Treatment would be a cinch now that the source of gone and then I could come back here. Simple really..."
  272.         Saturn Rosewell:        "I...really? Really?"
  273.         Gloria Dance:   Gloria Dance steps back into the room and stares at Norman.
  274.         Norman Harkness:        "Absolutely. It'd bypass the need for surface travel and I can evade all those pesky social encounters."
  275.         Gloria Dance:   "...No one here owns a Steelix, Norman."
  276.         Norman Harkness:        "Onix?"
  277.         Gloria Dance:   Gloria Dance slowly shakes her head.
  278.         Rochette:       Rochette peeks in. "Does it have to be a -big- pokemon?"
  279.         Rochette:       "Or will anything with burrowing capacity work?"
  280.         Norman Harkness:        "Zygarde? Ground Type Seviper? Sandslash? Something really big capable of digging?"
  281.         Gloria Dance:   "I...no. None of those, Norman."
  282.         Chloe Blanchett:        ((hah, Alsine))
  283.         Rochette:       "It'd be slow going, but I have a Nidorina." (burrow speed 3)
  284.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((we have the trouble makers still))
  285.         Norman Harkness:        Norman Harkness turns to Rochette, "Yes. It'd have to be big. Something capable of creating a tunnel I could walk through. Sandslash was where I was just getting desperate."
  286. DNA:    Everyone is purple!
  287.         Rochette:       "Taking it slow, Nidorina could make a bigger tunnel, couldn't she? But... yes, that would just be more difficult. Roland could fly you over, if you and he had protection for the weather."
  288.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((oh course the one bigish thing that could burrow died....))
  289.         Norman Harkness:        "Oh yes, that darn weather. Underground travel would assist in that problem too."
  290. DNA:    *shakes fist at low medicine levels*
  291. * DNA blames self
  292.         Rochette:       "Well... hm." ((how big is lairon again?))
  293.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((shakes fist at people not listening to the Fortrress))
  294.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((they don't burrow))
  295.         Rochette:       ((... that seems silly.))
  296. DNA:    Unless it knows Dig, in which case, sure
  297.         Norman Harkness:        "But, not to worry. I'll send out a carrier something-that-flies-and-doesn't-die-in-winter-weather to Cherrel. She can pick up the care of our child and I'll go check on the locals of Vert before coming back home. Here, I mean."
  298.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((its only medium, and on the shot end at that))
  299.         Rochette:       "I'm glad to see that things went well here, from the sound of it."
  300.         Saturn Rosewell:        "I...uh...I really don't mean to impose any more than I already am, but...do you have enough cures on hand to cure our possibly infected Pokemon of the plague? They're probably carriers..."
  301. DNA:    (However many that will be, do I still have to give you a number?)
  302.         Norman Harkness:        "I can cure them. But you'll have to do something for me."
  303.         Saturn Rosewell:        "Sure! Please... what is it?"
  304.         Norman Harkness:        "I have planned for such an event. Gloria?"
  305.         Gloria Dance:   "You are so lucky you are a Master in---I mean uhh..."
  306.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((Chloe is still waiting in the truck isn't she...))
  307. DNA:    What was Gloria about to say, I wonder?
  308.         Chloe Blanchett:        (yes)
  309.         Rochette:       "... A master in having secrets?"
  310.         Gloria Dance:   Gloria Dance sighs and points to Saturn, "You helped me reach a place I can call home - and for that, I will reward you with trust. Trusting you, that is. However, any further favours that will dig into my coffers will come at a cost but I understand you do not have the coin to refresh my coffers."
  311.         Gloria Dance:   "As such, you will need to perform a series of devious challenges in order to gain my help."
  312. DNA:    I hope Norman said that?
  313. Gloria Dance: (( She's speaking as instructed by Norman. ))
  314.         Saturn Rosewell:        "Wait, who am I helping - you or him?"
  315.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((damn, there goes plan "dispose of the bodies queitly and without the others knowing" down the drain
  316. DNA:    hahahah
  317.         Gloria Dance:   "First, collect a few stones roughly 3cm in diameter. About 139,377 will do. Then, defeat the troublesome glowing mushroom Pokémon near the well of my stone home. Then, pilfer the lost suitcase of badass heals lost at the peak of Mount Moon. Then you shall bring me the head of Myles, Destoyer of Men."
  318.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((shut up Claptrap!))
  319.         Gloria Dance:   "Finally, and most importantly, you shall dance for my enjoyment."
  320.         Saturn Rosewell:        "Wha-...whaaaa!?" Intuition check to see if that's real or BS (5d6+1) .
  321.         Rochette:       ((... this is a quote from Borderlands 2))
  322.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((which unfortunately does not disqualify it from realness))
  323. Avara:  claptrap has invaded our medical professional!
  324. DNA:    I wouldn't know
  325. Gloria Dance whispers: You can tell that she speaks truth of all the tasks but gather only one of them need be performed now for the favour. And considering the most importantly factor, you believe dancing for Norman's enjoyment will enable him to cure your Pokmon.
  326. * Rochette stares at Gloria blankly.
  327. Gloria Dance: (( DNA did a thing. I responded. He's been silent since. ))
  328.         Saturn Rosewell:        "Uh uh uh...can I just do the dancing bit for now?"
  329.         Norman Harkness:        "I would enjoy it. So long as all of you do it."
  330. DNA:    (I had my mouth full of burger, that's why I was silent and aaaaaaaaa there's my cholesterol)
  331.         Norman Harkness:        Norman Harkness rocks the child in his arms some, "She would too."
  332.         Rochette:       ((what skill check does dancing fall under?))
  333.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((shake your booty check!))
  334. Norman Harkness: (( I'mma go with Charm ))
  335. * Rochette pulls out her harp, nodding.
  336.         Saturn Rosewell:        "...I guess I'll dance...?" Saturn pulls out her harp to match.
  337.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((Val only knows one dance, it goes something like this....The Roof, The Roof, The Rook is on fire...no really look up..."))
  338. * Saturn Rosewell starts moving back and forth, trying to pluck a few strings to match notes of a song she's heard before...
  339. Norman Harkness: (( Val is with Saturn and Rochette, right? ))
  340.         Saturn Rosewell:        "We're no strangers to love... You know the rules, and so do I..." Charm (2d6+1+2) .
  341.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((nope))
  342. Norman Harkness: (( Ah. T_T ))
  343.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((she is still outside, thinking about what to do with the bodies))
  344. * Rochette matches to Saturn's tune, attempting to dance with her. (3d6+2+2)
  345. DNA:    Shit, should've done Caramelldansen.
  346.         Chronicler:     Rochette is able to match Saturn's tune surprisingly well though Saturn manaes to dance with the beat a tad better than Rochette.
  347. DNA:    How does 2d6+3 > 3d6+4 ?
  348. Avara:  the power of the RNG
  349. DNA:    w33rd.
  350.         Norman Harkness:        Norman Harkness grins as he watches you, enjoying the embarrassing moment you put youreslf in. The kidlet gives a giggly growl as well - obviously enjoying the tune.
  351.         Norman Harkness:        "Excellent. Excellent." Norman Harkness passes the child to Gloria and beckons both Rochette and Saturn to a secluded room, "Bring your potentially infected here and have them disrobe if you've got them well geared. I shall cleanse them."
  352.         Rochette:       "I'll go get Valerie and Chloe." She sets down her Pokeballs. "I can't remember exactly which ones I used."
  353.         Saturn Rosewell:        "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you do-o-own, never gonna run arou---wait, I can stop? Good, that was deeply embarrassing, I was out of tune."
  354.         Rochette:       "Next time, I will attempt the singing?"
  355.         Saturn Rosewell:        "...that might be a good idea."
  356. * Rochette leaves to go find Valerie and Chloe at the truck. "We found the doctor, and he's willing to treat our pokemon."
  357. * Saturn Rosewell goes to the room. She knows for sure only Natasha, Finch, and Sacrama of hers were potentially infected.
  358.         Valerie Ylsef:  "Oh cool."
  359.         Valerie Ylsef:  "I got something I need to take care of, you mind taking these to them?"
  360. * Valerie Ylsef holds out three of her pokeballs.
  361.         Chloe Blanchett:        Alsine , kun je beter komen en te controleren . We zien als we ziek van de grot , en je was er voor een lange tijd ."
  362.         Chloe Blanchett:        "That's great! I'll be right there!" Chloe and Alsine make haste to the good doctor.
  363. * Rochette takes Valerie's pokemon and leads Chloe there!
  364. * Valerie Ylsef hops in the truck when the others are gone
  365.         Valerie Ylsef:  "So, you mind driving this truck off the beaten path a little way? Want to get rid of the unwelcome passengers without worrying the other's sensibilities."
  366.         Valerie Ylsef:  (@ Inbee)
  367.         Chloe Blanchett:        "H-hi!" Chloe smiled to Norman when she would meet him.
  368. * Saturn Rosewell shall be ushered into the doctor's appointment room.
  369.         Miss Nobody 'Inbee':    "As long as it doesn't damage the truck."
  370.         Valerie Ylsef:  "Shouldn't just get the truck as far out of town as you feel comfortable, I can lift the bugger no problem."
  371.         Norman Harkness:        For the dancing the good doctor will remove your Pokemon as carries of the disease and clean them. This takes about 30 minutes per Pokémon.
  372. So I'll need the exact amount for time of day.
  373.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((3 mon from me))
  374.         Saturn Rosewell:        3 from me
  375.         Saturn Rosewell:        Is it possible to help him so he could possibly do multiples at once, or is it a Delicate Art that is essentially NPC-exclusive?
  376.         Chloe Blanchett:        ((Alsine, Mimsy and Vorpal all saw combat in the cave))
  377. * Valerie Ylsef will deal with dumping the bodies of the ruffian gang whenever Inbee is satisfied with where the truck is.
  378.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((Phyllis does have Expert MEd and is one of the three))
  379.         Norman Harkness:        It's not a delicate art but it isn't something you can assist with.
  381.         Norman Harkness:        You could assist him to make better rolls but he isn't going to fail them anyway.
  382. Avara:  rochette has 4 pokemon in need of check-ups. pretty sure i used my whole party at the time. 5 maybe... d'ya think nidorina got infected?
  383. DNA:    3+3+3+4 = 13. And, if we're counting Nidorina, 14. That's 7 hours in all.
  384.         Norman Harkness:        Hehehe, 7 hours.
  385.         Chronicler:     Let me calc distance.
  386. DNA:    That is a very annoying time waster. What would stop Inbee from just going on with the truck and leaving us behind?
  387. Chronicler:     It'll take 3 hours to reach Cerulean via vehicle.
  388. Chronicler:     Well, you could just sit in the truck with her I guess?
  389. Avara:  not like we've got anything else to do
  390. Avara:  other'n maybe check the shops for warm clothes
  391. DNA:    I could probably burn up command sessions, after my brood are done.
  392. Chronicler:     It's 11:35 AM. So, it'll be 6:35 PM by the time the heals are all done.
  393. DNA:    Ah, right. We technically could shop. Though, I don't know if much is new.
  394. Chronicler:     And you could make it Cerulean by 9:35 PM. Assuming no encounters.
  395. Avara:  which would give us maybe time to find shelter for the night.
  396. Avara:  awesome.
  397. DNA:    Possibly, yes!
  398. Chronicler:     You mean a place to rest in the city?
  399. Avara:  yes
  400. DNA:    And then there was silence. Now I'm curious if there's weather resistant garb or armour or something of the kind.
  401. Avara:  afk.
  402.         Chloe Blanchett:        ((Yes, Alsine is wearing it))
  403.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((is just waiting for the body dump to finish))
  404. DNA:    I meant in the shops. Oh, yeah, and there is the body dump.
  405. Chronicler:     Body dump can happen whenever. Inbee isn't emotionally attached.
  406. Chronicler:     Aaaaand an encounter does happen. *rolled*
  407.         Chloe Blanchett:        "We're... leaving them?"
  408.         Chloe Blanchett:        ((Pokemon were checked up, right?))
  409. DNA:    On the road to Cerulean, or in town?
  410. Chronicler:     On the road to Cerulean.
  411. DNA:    Ah.
  412.         Valerie Ylsef:  ((outside of town, while you guys are with the mon getting healed))
  413.         Chloe Blanchett:        ((Ah, okay))
  414. * DNA tick tick tick tick tick tick it's now 6.35pm+
  415. Chronicler:     Norman will heal everyone's Pokémon.
  416. DNA:    Is there enough time to sneak in a training session AFTER the encounter will be over?
  417. Chronicler:     The encounter will happen when you two leave.
  418. Chronicler:     Sometime between Fairview and Cerulean.
  419. Chronicler:     Fairview sells clothes and stuff.
  420. DNA:    May I inquire as to these clothes?
  421.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe will do the same~
  422. Trulhammaren:   when me and inbee leave?
  423.         Chloe Blanchett:        "Beter nu, Saturn?"
  424. Chloe Blanchett whispers: Better now, Saturn?
  425.         Saturn Rosewell:        "...Meestal."
  426.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe spoke with a bit more confidence than she had the previous day.
  427. You whisper to Chloe: "...Mostly."
  428. * Valerie Ylsef returns with Inbee from thier little detour and joins the rest of the gals at the shop.
  429.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe smiled brightly.
  430. * Saturn Rosewell was looking away
  431. Chronicler:     Clothing is 500 per slot.
  432. Avara:  ((back))
  433. Chronicler:     And they're tailored to you and in a style of your choice.
  434. DNA:    Any effects beyond that, or what? and what are the base effects?
  435. Trulhammaren:   clothing is slots or psuedo slots?
  436.         Chloe Blanchett:        "What should I get... I need a warmer shirt but for pants..."
  437. Avara:  how many slots are required for protection vs weather?
  438. Chronicler:     Clothing consumes actual equipment slots.
  439. Chloe Blanchett:        "U-um Saturn... do you think I would look good in a skirt?" Chloe asked, timidly.
  440.         Saturn Rosewell:        "...I really don't know. You usually just wear the overalls, I've never known you to wear anything else recently."
  441. Chronicler:     And when selecting clothing specify if its intended for above 40F or below 40F.
  442. Chronicler:     Also: Each body slot occupied by clothing grants a +1 bonus to saves or checks caused by weather (natural, severe, Pokemon or Trainer induced, etc.).
  443. Clothing can be fluffed to look, feel, have designs, etc. as the crafter chooses but this cannot have any mechanical benefit.
  444. Chloe Blanchett:        "I know... I thought maybe I could try something different..."
  445. Avara:  severe cold specifies unprotected characters
  446. Avara:  how many body slots constitute a "protected" character?
  447. Chronicler:     Mainly body.
  448. DNA:    So the base effect is +1 to weather checks for weathers either above OR below 40F, that it?
  449.         Chloe Blanchett:        "If I keep dressing like this people will start calling me a boy." Chloe laughed.
  450. DNA:    or is the above-or-below for something different?
  451. Chronicler:     Yes.
  452. DNA:    All right.
  453. Avara:  i have 0 pokebucks at the moment. so. i need a job >> other'n that it'd probably be best to buy one outfit for each weather type
  454. Chronicler:     Hmm, what's tomorrow...? Sunday.
  455. DNA:    I'd probably just get 1 Body and 1 Legs clothings to protect from weather /above/ 40F. Just my inkling guess.
  456.         Chronicler:     Well, I can place up the whole towns shopping list (it did update since you last visited) and you guys can trade and buy stuff.
  457. DNA:    ...I see.
  458. DNA:    Wait, clothing can be bought for Pokemon too, right?
  459.         Chronicler:     Monday we can begin at the encounter if you want. Unless you guys had some RP or something in mind before that.
  460.         Chronicler:     Yes.
  461. DNA:    This changes everything
  462. DNA:    I didn't have anything else in mind, so I am content with just shopping. Is there anything really else to do tonight?
  463.         Chronicler:     Uh, no. That's mainly why----oh crap. I meant place the shopping list in the Skype chat.
  464. DNA:    Go, go, go!
  465.         Chronicler:     Not tonight preferably. I could do it before tomorrows campaign.
  466. Avara:  ok. question. need answer from party.
  467.         Chronicler:     I'd rather get some rest and hope for a good day at work again.
  468. DNA:    If that happens, someone else will have to send it to me. I'm out of the house tomorrow.
  469. Avara:  does anybody intend to be able to use scrolls (which require some measure of competency in Occult)
  470.         Chronicler:     It'll be in the skype chat for when you return.
  471. DNA:    All right then. hopefully it won't be lost in backlog.
  472. DNA:    I don't intend to use scrolls, no. I already have attacks of my own.
  473.         Chronicler:     I'll paste it to you personally if you like so it won't.
  474. DNA:    It might be lost anyway, but whatever works, honestly. I'll see it on Sunday anyway and plan appropriately.
  475. Trulhammaren:   Val will never be able to use the scrolls
  476. Avara:  Rob
  477. Avara:  scrolls?
  478.         Chloe Blanchett:        not really interested
  479. Avara:  then can we sell our scrolls so we have clothes money?
  480. Trulhammaren:   they aren't worth diddly
  481.         Chloe Blanchett:        any that I haven't written my name by, yes
  482. DNA:    I have 12625 monies, so I have plenty for STUFF; we may not have to sell.
  483. Avara:  scrolls aren't worth things? D=
  484. Trulhammaren:   Val has a bit of monies to spend
  485. Trulhammaren:   they are like 50 a pop
  486.         Chronicler:     Scrolls are quite valuable.
  487.         Chronicler:     I was noting that when you were buying things it wasn't the 'actual' price yet because things weren't officially released.
  488. Trulhammaren:   Val has 6k+
  489. Trulhammaren:   oh, I thought thats what we were talking about when I was buying them
  490. Trulhammaren:   the actual price
  491.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe is still looking through various bottom choices.
  492.         Chronicler:     https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bZDDyk-xDfQa-wyC7q2-XZAe4eB4Iwa7orj6Bk9UQj8/edit#gid=1107562899
  493.         Chronicler:     Find the price of the scroll and multiply it by 1.25.
  494.         Chronicler:     That is the scrolls retail value.
  495. Trulhammaren:   so I got them at cheap price then
  496.         Chronicler:     Use cost, not magus or magi cost.
  497.         Chronicler:     Yes.
  498.         Chloe Blanchett:        Berry Check~ (remembered)
  499.         Chronicler:     Remember that selling price defaults to 20% of retail value.
  500.         Chloe Blanchett:        1 | 3
  501. Trulhammaren:   so each scroll is worth 250
  502.         Chronicler:     If it only has 1 spell.
  503. Trulhammaren:   they all do pretty much
  504.         Chronicler:     The cost is per~
  505. Avara:  scroll i have is Rock Armor, 3 Uses
  506.         Chronicler:     If a scroll has multiple spells, the cost increases per spell.
  507.         Chronicler:     Then it has 3 Rock Armour spells.
  508. Trulhammaren:   each spell is worth 250 then
  509. Trulhammaren:   unless I"m missing something
  510.         Chronicler:     So, 1 use = 250. 250*3=750. 750*1.25=937. 937 is the retail cost.
  511. Avara:  do i sell it at full retail, or at less?
  512. DNA:    At 20% retail, as above
  513.         Chronicler:     ...
  514.         Chronicler:     ^
  515. Avara:  ok
  516.         Chloe Blanchett:        Chloe resorts to asking the clothing store owner for advice.
  517. Avara:  then i can get 187 for it.
  518. Trulhammaren:   250 is the 1.25
  519. Trulhammaren:   for one spell
  520.         Chronicler:     Ah
  521. Avara:  ah
  522. * Saturn Rosewell might be getting clothes for herself, but she'll want them for Natasha more.
  523.         Chronicler:     SO, 750 is the retail
  524. Avara:  thenn... less
  525.         Chronicler:     So, 150 is the selling price.
  526. Avara:  150 for the rock armor scroll... well, it's not getting any other use.
  527. Trulhammaren:   almost worth more to use them as scrap
  528. Avara:  selling it
  529. DNA:    Ah, I think I see it. The buying price is 1.2 * retail price, and the selling price is 0.2 retail price.
  530. DNA:    Do I follow?
  531. Avara:  unless party is opposed
  532.         Chloe Blanchett:        Is there a portable grower?
  533. DNA:    ^omg yes
  534. DNA:    I will shell out whatever is necessary for Chloe to buy a second one
  535.         Chronicler:     The link is the crafting costs.
  536.         Chronicler:     Crafting cost is 75% of retail.
  537.         Chronicler:     So, using the crafting, the total cost * 1.25 = retail.
  538.         Chronicler:     And selling items is 0.2 retail value.
  539. DNA:    ...
  540.         Chloe Blanchett:        Not quite how math works, but close enough
  541.         Chronicler:     This is clunky until I get to the items section.
  542. Avara:  how much would a proper adventurer backpack cost?
  543. DNA:    If crafting cost is 75% of retail, that means yo uhave to multiply by 1.33333333... to get the retail cost.
  544. Trulhammaren:   my florice has some occult knowledge and will be able to craft stuff if we need to
  545.         Chronicler:     1.25 makes it easier to math
  546. DNA:    Then, crafting would be 80% of retail
  547.         Chloe Blanchett:        Anyway, portable grower?
  548.         Chronicler:     I'll have the shopping lists out tomorrow.
  549.         Chloe Blanchett:        okay
  550. DNA:    (I'm not making these numbers up - 1.25 is five-fourths, so the reverse would be four-fifths, 80%!)
  551. Avara:  ok. more bartering of equipment tomorrow!
  552.         Chronicler:     And you'll need Breakdown to turn the scrolls into crystals.
  553.         Chloe Blanchett:        Then Chloe is back to asking the store owner for advice.
  554.         Chronicler:     I know you arent' DNA, I'm just selecting numbers that are easy to handle.
  555. * DNA may have to do so too. Many times. Just for the shopping list.
  556.         Chronicler:     Crafting is intended to be 75%
  557. DNA:    I know... Though, to be fair, 80% isn't hard to handle either. But I digress.
  558. DNA:    For the log purposes, what are the payouts of EXP for today?
  559. DNA:    (And other assorted goodies, as warranted.)
  560.         Chronicler:     30 PKMN XP. 3 TXP.
  561.         Chloe Blanchett:        (So we're ending?_
  562.         Chronicler:     Yes
  563.         Chloe Blanchett:        dang
  564. Avara:  *hugs everyone*
  565. DNA:    I now have a Wobbuffet. FINALLY.
  566.         Chronicler:     Next session will start at the encounter - unless people have things they want to do first.
  567.         Chronicler:     Saving log and campaign~
  568.         Chloe Blanchett:        I haven't finished shopping/fairview time...
  569.         Chloe Blanchett:        though not sure how interested anyone else is in that
  570. DNA:    i am moderately interested in shopping. we'll have time. hopefully.
  571.         Chronicler:     Chat about it in Skype and get back to me about what people want to do.
  572. Avara is disconnected.
  573. Chloe is disconnected.
