  1. Manipulating Rayquaza takes about 22 seconds. There is a convenient cluster of 4 that makes our lives much easier: from frame 957 to 960. All of these have rather good stats to finish the game, especially for Champion. Whether this ends up being worth it or not is due to be tested, but it would bring a lot of consistancy to the run. From minor stuff such as Aerial Acing Sandslash because we already know our stats, to always being faster than Gyarados after a Dragon Dance. This would also allow us to cut some X Attacks on our Fallarbor shopping (perhaps you can skip selling Steel Wing?), since you'd know that your attack will be at least decent.

  3. The stats that we would get are these:
  4. 957 Adamant 14 27 31 15 12 26 Bug 49
  5. 958 Lonely 26 15 12 9 6 24 Rock 52
  6. 959 Naughty 24 9 6 22 24 27 Poison 47
  7. 960 Adamant 27 22 24 19 26 21 Bug 62
  8.
  9. Here's a run down on the average time saves:
  10. Buying X Attacks: ~0.15 seconds.
  11. Juan: ~2 seconds (never miss the Whiscash range).
  12. Wally: ~1 second (never fly).
  13. Claydol: ~0.33 seconds (AA right away, no outrage)
  14. Julie: 1.8 seconds.
  15. Stats check: ~0.5 seconds.
  16. Phoebe: ~2 seconds.
  17. Glacia: ~1 seconds.
  18. Drake: ~6 seconds.
  19. Wallace: ~7-15 seconds (depends on what Quaza you get).
  20.
  21. These numbers variate quite a bit due to the different scenarios, which are stabilized thanks to the consistancy of our stats (you can easily lose 45 seconds to getting confused against Wallace's Whiscash, hitting yourself and getting Amnesia). Overall, this seems optimal, as the time loss will be at most minor and you'd have a lot of consistancy for your runs. It is true that you can just go ahead and hope for the best, and that you can get better Quazas than these, but this argument might fall into the good ol' "there's no need to manip anything; just get lucky". I think this opens some new possibilites for the run, and it should not be underestimated. It could also bring some route changes.
