  1. [22:54] Hellebore exclaims, "Goodness!"
  2. [22:54] Sythaeryn Vartuul asks, "It's a wreck, right?"
  3. [22:54] Sythaeryn Vartuul says, "You should have been here at the end."
  4. [22:54] Sythaeryn Vartuul says, "The Teraphim started foaming at the mouth. It even surprised me."
  5. [22:55] Hellebore says, "You could have been a bit more thorough, I'll give it a solid eight out of ten."
  6. [22:55] Hellebore says, "As for him? Zero points."
  7. [22:56] Sythaeryn Vartuul says, "I wanted to conquer this place, not destroy it. But yes."
  8. [22:57] Still somewhat heated from his deadly duel with the Lightbringer, Sythaeryn took the opportunity for reprieve within the wreckage of Osrona besides Hellebore. A boy approaches and he took him in with a curious glance, listening to the praise with a slight smile, "Thanks, kid. Not every day someone gets to see me fight-- Glad you enjoyed it."
  9. (Sythaeryn Vartuul)
  10. [22:58] She folded the letter up before turning to look towards Sythaeryn and Tiernay. Her gaze narrows, silent, judging. It shifts between the pair of them in silence as the letter she had just folded is tapped against an open palm.
  11.
  12. Her face scrunched up in disgust briefly before it smoothed over.
  13. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  14. [23:01] Hellebore, still swathed in shadows seemed pretty content with his current disposition, the bleached mask worn upon his person perhaps useless when taking into consideration its once purposeful function.
  15.
  16. "Still kicking you two. Diplomat of nothing, and Stellus? Stellus puppet. Time sure is sweet for people with so much to lose, isn't it?"
  17.
  18. The eyes of his mask arch in glee, supplying a sense of elation which would have otherwise been lost within an ordinary prop.
  19. (Hellebore)
  20. [23:02] Sythaeryn Vartuul says, "Perhaps. Some people just enjoy a slaughter I suppose. Ah, well."
  21. [23:03] Romani continues to write upon the piece of paper, blue and gold eye mainly glancing downwards and not towards the ones in front of him. As the word is spoken towards him, he only shakes his head.
  22.
  23. "I am busy. Try again later."
  24. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  25. [23:04] An eyebrow raised at Tiernay's words before her head eventually shook.
  26.
  27. "Not a diplomat any longer. Now I just make interesting things." She said in correction. Judeau's words had hit her, with the statement that it didn't end in death. So. Lloyd still lived? There was a small lingering glance to the letter she had written before it's tucked away into a pocket for another day.
  28.
  29. She spared Romani a glance as he continued writing, and then her attention shifted back to the duo.
  30.
  31. "What's your point, Tiernay?"
  32. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  33. [23:06] The drakanite rinsed off the blood from his blade with a splash of fountain water.
  34. (Sythaeryn Vartuul)
  35. [23:09] "My point is that it seemed all for naught. Everyone you considered your friend likely wants you dead now, you'd have thought dying would be the better option."
  36.
  37. The man removes his mask, only so his tone is much more clear as he dusts his front off. The journey to Osrona isn't the most cleanly, but he couldn't complain. Some people truly did enjoy this sort of sight.
  38.
  39. "The point I'm getting at is that I'm thoroughly elated today! Maybe take a glance to see how rich the wool grows where Mylenoris decides to keep their sheep." The now unmasked figure hums.
  40.
  41. "Nope, still looks as shoddy as ever."
  42. (Tiernay Reveille)
  43. [23:12] The eyes glance up from the paper, ever slightly.
  44.
  45. "Hm. Thinking about it, I do not believe so. Marie dead. Ilsa is dead. Ophelia is with me. Siegfried is dead. Finley is alive. My family is alive, and either in this city, or in Theria." A shrug of his shoulders.
  46.
  47. "But my focus on the city remains. There is work to do. There may be people who hate me in Nysea, but they are the same people who follow the man who abandoned me to rot in a jail."
  48.
  49. "So I get by just fine without."
  50. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  51. [23:13] "Maybe," She conceded with a gentle roll of her shoulders, as if his words were falling off of them akin to droplets of water. "They do want us dead, which is unfortunate. But it isn't for naught; I don't think that's accurate at all." She added in contention with a waggle of her finger.
  52.
  53. "Alexander has betrayed those who was most loyal to him, and watched as the Church did things it had no right doing, with tacit approval. It isn't our fault Del opted to drink an ancient bottle of orange juice and go crazy - talking in people's minds," Ophelia stated, rising a finger up to tap against the soft point of her temple a few times before the hand lowered.
  54.
  55. "If you think we're sheep then you're blind. It's as simple as that."
  56. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  57. [23:19] "It is for naught, because this place? It will never be anything. Not a strong soul remaining, they all went off and decided you were better off dead."
  58.
  59. He reiterates the same message, wagging his digit towards those present.
  60.
  61. "Slave to the ones that spared your life for your so called tomorrow. You are sheep, because you stand before me in chains. Chained down to these ruins, because the moment you step out... You're as good as dead. Am I wrong?"
  62.
  63. Tiernay chuckles beneath his breath, a single digit lifted to rest upon his lower tier.
  64.
  65. "Though, admittedly Del has been a little looney. It's been a pleasant sight, nonetheless. Another person willing to die for their faith." He smiles.
  66.
  67. "While you two grovel and pick up rocks, writing letters to nobodies and biding your time. The High Lady Asta might have been a tad more likable had she just saved herself the feed and sent you both home to die in war."
  68. (Tiernay Reveille)
  69. [23:22] "Say what you wish. You can believe one thing all you like, and it will not matter, or change the future. A future that you truly can not predict."
  70.
  71. Romani again shakes his head.
  72.
  73. "You call them chains. I would call chains following someone I did not believe in. I would call chains bending my knee to Alexander after he ditched me and stripped me of all ties to the Petrakis empire. I am not some dog who returns to it's master after being beaten and ignored."
  74.
  75. "Instead, I will remain here. And I will rebuild. I will a new Osrona, one without madness such as in Del. An Osrona that I believe in."
  76. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  77. [23:25] It wasn't the first time that Kofe had stumbled upon a barrage of insults directed towards Romani and Ophelia. Although the last time that it happened it was all about Romani's lack of passion and drive. Declarations here and there meant little in reality, didn't they?
  78.
  79. Ilburg had been thriving better without Basten; actions took over mere words for the city hidden in the sands. No one needed to.. advertise a better environment, or write in large letter to come live there.
  80.
  81. It just happened from reactions of those actions.
  82.
  83. Perhaps Tiernay and Sythaeryn had a point—
  84.
  85. "I think he has a point. It's good to help with the reconstruction of a place you want to see live again. And it's better to pull away from an establishment you can't believe in anymore but..."
  86.
  87. Kofe shrugged, moving to sit upon the bench.
  88.
  89. "Without any real drive or passion that people can see, how are you going to draw in others? Even a crazy Del and a zealous Sethon get more followers because they're out there - confronting everything rather than hiding."
  90. (Kofe)
  91. [23:26] "That's where you miss the bigger picture, Tiernay." She said, and now her hands gesture out to the city. It was in shambles, yes, but... "Even the most ugly rock, once polished, can become something beautiful and something great. A diamond." She explained. "Osrona was once a shining diamond representing an Empire that dated back to an endless age; however over the years it failed to be cared for properly. Sure - there were periods that were glorious, and our people crushed those that needed to be crushed... But..." She trailed off, shaking her head.
  92.
  93. "Alexander's own foolish allowed him to be led astray, and to destroy that prosperity. He was blind. The wrong choices again and again. I supported him throughout everything and I remained steadfastly loyal. I would have died for that man, but..." She trailed off, her gaze shifting to Kofe briefly who stood right behind Tiernay before she continued.
  94.
  95. "One can only be burned so many times before one decides they won't tolerate it any longer." She said, a hand settling itself on her hip as she shifted her weight from one leg to another. There was a passion within her words, a fire, despite the chill that surrounded her.
  96.
  97. "He watched in silent agreeance as the Church opted to label me a traitor for carrying out the very thing Serea was going to do; for exposing the taint that was corroding Osrona from the top down. He watched as they magibaned me and listed Marie's death as my fault. No. I refuse to be labeled as such when everything I did I did for him."
  98.
  99. "I'm not going to be stepped on. I'm not going to have someone who has completely lost their proverbial marbles dictate if I'm loyal to them or not. I do no groveling, you must have me mistaken for someone else."
  100. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  101. [23:29] Tiernay plants both of his hands upon his waist, a rather reserved stance taken while he'd taken to
  102.
  103. "Nope, the vision is picture perfect. I've got to say It'd look a great deal better ifyou both just so happened to slit your throats and bleed out on the cobblestone. I've a sword that does the job pretty well."
  104.
  105. He hums.
  106.
  107.
  108. "Tested it well myself. What say you make my precious Esshar happier with less sheep to linger amidst the flock? I'd say it'd be a lovely way to commemorate all your failures up until now."
  109. (Tiernay Reveille)
  110. [23:31] Danica gives a hard stare in Tiernay's direction.
  111. (Danica Drugovic)
  112. [23:32] Romani simply shakes his head.
  113.
  114. "You know, for a place that you said will never rise up again?"
  115.
  116. "It looks like it is getting decent foot traffic right now." A small smile, a small victory that Romani feels.
  117.
  118. "You can say that you wish us dead. But I have things to do while I am alive."
  119.
  120. "Now if you would go? We are busy."
  121. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  122. [23:32] "And what say you just go to Hel?" She countered with a sharp hiss in regards to his comment about them slicing their throats. Her gaze shifted to Kofe, now opting to respond to his very real concern!
  123.
  124. "It's a work in progress. Osrona was not built overnight originally, so I don't expect it's return to glory to happen in a short amount of time either, especially when you have those zealots out there describing everything they dislike as demons or otherwise."
  125. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  126. [23:34] Romani cos Montclaire whispers to Ophelia cos Montclaire: And now? We ignore him.
  127. [23:35] Kofe shakes his head lightly at Tiernay's words.
  128.
  129. "You can't just tell people to kill themselves right away. You have to build up to it, Tiernay. Anticipation. Tension. It's the way battle and tales go. It was a poorly executed verbal offense if that's the punchline."
  130.
  131. Was he scolding him or coaching him in the art of verbal warfare? Regardless, he looked towards Ophelia.
  132.
  133. "It was built with people who made it what it was. Right now there is doubt. People see two churches, and decide to pick neither. They see two claims for the throne. Until one's completely gone, the other will always cast a shadow on its opponent."
  134. (Kofe)
  135. [23:44] "I'd say the mood's been set for quite a while, Kofe. It isn't necessarily the need to see this place restored that consumes me. It is this all-consuming boredom that I'm forced to endure with these weak wills."
  136.
  137. A scolding, coaching, whatever one may will it to be, it seemed rather fruitless in the eyes of a man that had long since taken the more unpredictable route.
  138.
  139. "My best solution! Presented to this realm as a gift."
  140.
  141. The narrow blade within his grasp is posed with not but intent, an ever swift thrust from its wielder leaving most to presume its range would not reach. Yet the shadows upon its edge double as an extension that'd aim straight for Ophelia's throat.
  142.
  143. "The removal of sheep."
  144. (Tiernay Reveille)
  145. [23:49] Romani would see that blade thrusting form the shadows, aiming directly for the throat of his wife. In that moment, the Stellus of the Eastern Faith would stand from the bench, attempting to step between the shadow user and Ophelia, but his legs would fall short of catching them.
  146.
  147. Another failure, to add to his list.
  148. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  149. [23:54] Danica would lift a hand promptly into the area before Ophelia- deflecting Tiernay's shadow blade entirely. She'd step between them, allowing her gaze to drift to Ophelia. Though it wasn't friendly- it was annoyed more than anything.
  150.
  151. Useful.
  152.
  153. Then, she'd turn her attention to Tiernay.
  154.
  155. "Would ye' jus' chill- every one o' ye' so quick ta' take lives. Would ye' jus' 'EAR y'self?....Gunna kill a girl cause of bein' a 'SHEEP'?....Who tha' fuck are 'ye?"
  156.
  157. A scrutinizing gaze is laid upon the fellow shadow mage- though a slight glance offered to Mars and Basil.
  158. (Danica Drugovic)
  159. [23:54] Perhaps Kofe had been the unobservant one in this situation. No.. No. That wasn't the case. It never was. He caught onto every small detail, after all. Always. He'd said so himself: It would be boring if that was the punchline.
  160.
  161. And so, Tiernay obliged. Showing the concealed punchline beneath a shadowy blade's touch. The sudden attack that brought not happiness, but entertainment.
  162.
  163. Was the master of darkness a monster? Perhaps. Definitely. Though he was a beast that despised boredom, if anything. Nothing more.
  164.
  165. While on the same train of thought as Basil, Kofe sent a wave of wind directly towards Danica who seemed intent on getting in the way. His reasoning was the same it'd been since he was a kid; a lesson he'd been brought up on.
  166.
  167. "I don't hate Ophelia, but her fight are hers. Respect as much."
  168. (Kofe)
  169. [23:54] Does she hate these people? No, not entirely. She understands how the heart feels in moments such as this-...And she most certainly understands that these people were attempting to rebuild something that has history. That possesses a story of greatness forged on the backs of men like the ones that are beside her. She...Remains conflicted to a degree. Because she doesn't want to feel as if she is the cause of matters such as this- but...She cares.
  170.
  171. She cares for him and his own well-being. Much moreso than she cares for others that are within the area. But this doesn't stop her from feeling the terrible effects of her own inferences from the past. Where she believes Tiernay to be dabbling in darkness far too much. Where vagueness leaves her with question...And her frame automatically begins to move...
  172.
  173. And so...
  174.
  175. She seemingly intercepts as well.
  176.
  177. "He's mine, still."
  178. (Mars)
  179. [00:00] "If you're bored might I suggest you pick up a hobby?" She questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Like knitting?" There's a tug of clear amusement on her lips until Tiernay's grip upon that narrow blade of his was issued - and as he thrusted forth, Ophelia knew without a shadow of doubt that blade's length would never reach her.
  180.
  181. Yet the shadows themselves double that blade's length to the point where it came within cutting distance of the Montclaire's neck. There's a flicker of surprise that registers itself on her pale features. Ice and nature snap together in perfected synchronized harmony; flowers flourish with life and the chilling temperature around the woman drops to an even lower degree.
  182.
  183. Dangerous. Deadly even, depending on those around her.
  184.
  185. Romani tries to jump in, Danica, Deimos. Yet it is the one she least expects to try and allow Tiernay to attack that truly surprises her; a glance was afforded to Kofe, and only a glance. Her head swiveled to the left, narrowly dodging the blade as it came for her neck.
  186.
  187. Galadhrim was released from her back, the bow itself already nocked with an ice arrow, and Ophelia took aim and fired immediately as a counter. There were no further words spared towards Tiernay. None truly needed to be spoken, not now, at the very least.
  188. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  189. [00:05] The only one who hadn't jumped in to Ophelia's defense.. was the lady in blue, to the side.
  190.
  191. It's clear that something within her is watching at the very least, behind the mask. Her gaze turns toward Tiernay as he surges forth with his blade..
  192.
  193. Once others- Kofe, Mars, intercept the people at the side, she turns to watch it..
  194.
  195. "Be strong. Lady Ophelia."
  196.
  197. Something about her voice is monotone- or, attempting to be. Even so, the blue figure's lack of action is..
  198.
  199. ..strange.
  200. (Lady Blue)
  201. [00:22] Ophelia's magic was certainly one that'd been familiar to the male, bringing about not but a bitter-sweet thought of what it was like to speak with the flourishing, hungry realm which rumbled quite viciously beneath his feet.
  202.
  203. Yet such thoughts hardly seem to persist upon the more pertinent need to scrape by with a victory, and as such the shadows coalesce about his being, swiping away at the thick smog of spores that'd have likely overwhelmed many whom stepped within.
  204.
  205. When it'd been time to take the defensive, he'd done so, and upon every moment of opportunity, there is a brief moment in which he'd physical form beneath sinks into the shadows, his presence entirely concealed until it came time to emerge from the dark cast by her own blooming plants.
  206.
  207. "Do you see?" He chuckles, arm emerging from the approach shadows with Palais in hand. His abrupt means to clear the distance between them concludes with not but a critical blow, Palais having dug into her side with a conclusive thrust.
  208.
  209. Perhaps it had been a miscalculation, though its shallow reach surely meant that she'd survive the encounter, should her wound be treated thoroughly after the blade's swift withdrawal.
  210.
  211. "Nobody will look you in the eye and say this world is yours for the taking. As long as I'm breathing, I don't think the option to rebuild will be afforded to you, or Romani."
  212.
  213. His sister's Momento is drawn across the cloak clad in shadows, blood promptly removed from its edge in a fashion most would protest.
  214.
  215. "And now, for the Puppet Stellus."
  216. (Tiernay Reveille)
  217. [00:31] Ophelia's command of nature, especially when it was so close and so ripe for her use had grown over the years. Instead of a meager garden which infested their chosen field of battle, a veritable forest looms above their head. Trees, grown instantly through that special connection stand tall, white and pristine almost like glass but with a frosty chill that ever leaves them. The flowers too, grown to the size of a full size human share that same look, Ophelia mingling nature magic and ice all in one fell swoop.
  218.
  219. Clusters of frozen leaves swirl around her occasionally, providing a defense and buffeting Tiernay, even as he delved into the shadows and sunk low to make his approach. He made good use of the darkness afforded to him by her plants, and that was when Palais bit into her side.
  220.
  221. Blood was drawn, deposited on the flurry of white and green that sat under her feet, and a pained groan left her lips with an ounce of pain that shifted itself through her core. A hand protectively went to her side, and there was a long and harrowing inhalation of breath offered.
  222.
  223. It wasn't deep, but it hurt quite a bit, and she shook her head now.
  224.
  225. "Get out." She snarled now, that seed of anger planted within her beginning to blossom within her. Much as it had been against Sythaeryn. Ophelia had always been slow to anger, but once it began it was truly difficult to stop it. Her hand pulled from her side, coated in crimson liquid before it was reapplied tightly.
  226.
  227. "Get out. Get out. Get out. GET OUT. GET OUT. GET OUT. GET OUT. GET OUT. GET GET GET GET OUT!" She practically screams in blistering rage and blind fury, Ophelia stumbling backwards, even as Tiernay aimed to move onto Romani.
  228. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  229. [00:36] [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1ziq0O-Vo0]
  230.
  231. "Ophelia!"
  232.
  233. With the raging shadows around Tiernay and the attack on his wife? He could call for guards. He could try to have others try to save his wife, because he always failed. Because he never won a fight in his life.
  234.
  235. But he doesn't think that way. The power of the Celestial bodies above surround him, his fists glowing golden as Tiernay attacks Ophelia, growing in his anger. He attempts to control it but.. He acts upon it, and uses his anger and desire to protect fuel him forwards.
  236.
  237. Failure.
  238.
  239. Yeah, may that is all he would ever be. Maybe he would only be a pebble to be kicked, or a rock to be smashed. Maybe those golden fists should have just retired. Maybe that light, already dimmed from injuries should have faded out and died.
  240.
  241. Failure.
  242.
  243. "You are right. No one will look me in the eye and say the worldis my Oster. No one will tell me I am right for going against Alexander. No one will let me rebuild Osrona from the ground up."
  244.
  245. Luckily the blade wound is shallower then it was meant to be on Ophelia. A look of worry, but before he can tend to that, the golden guardian of Ios arises on his shoulders.
  246.
  247. "I can rely only on my wife to believe in me, only my wife, and myself. So you can GET OUT. " His words melding with that of his wife. The holy magic grows, attempting to dull some of the pain of her injures.
  248.
  249. Trying anyways.
  250. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  251. [00:42] {Won Dangerous RPB against Tiernay Reveille}
  252. [00:44] Things had gotten bad. Tiernay truly lived up to his frightening appearance, enduring the frigid ice and gnarled vines that was sent his way.
  253.
  254. Something that Tiernay had said stuck into Judeau's mind like a knife and refused to leave. He'd said there wouldn't be any rebuilding Osrona so long as he lived. Why did he want to interfere in restoring what had been such an immaculate city? One that had housed thousands--no hundreds of thousands-of people in safety and prosperity.
  255.
  256. And now all of that was gone. Torn asunder by a vengeful army after the fall of their leader.
  257.
  258. Snapping back to the present he noticed the fight had concluded. As Ophelia was injured but thankfully not killed their husband stepped up to the plate next. A giant mass of mana given humanoid shape hovered ominously behind Romani, as fists of light and claws of shadow clashed for supremacy.
  259.
  260. He could only nod in agreement at the remarks of Kings Basil and Sythaeryn.
  261. (Judeau Crestwood)
  262. [00:53] He had never won a single fight against someone with a weapon.
  263.
  264. He had never had a single victory, a single success wherein he was able to win on the battle field. Never the slimmest glimmer of hope. His holy magic had always failed him. His fists had always failed him. His magic had always failed him.
  265.
  266. He had never been able to protect anyone. His father had called him a failure, his king had abandoned him in Myllenoris, and he was never able to do anything. He always felt left behind, he never managed to gain the acclaim of others, only the faintest hope he could inspire to help.
  267.
  268. A Failure. A bonified loser. Someone who would never amount to anything.
  269.
  270. He knew that when he raised his fists. He knew that when the guardian of Ios surrounded him. He knew that when he dove into a fight that he had no chance to win.
  271.
  272. "Maybe you are right. I am just nothing. I am just a failure. I should just die. This world is not mine. My friends are dead or abandoning me. I am nothing."
  273.
  274. His fists would rise, slamming into Tiernay, sending him across the field. The shadow claw bit into him, illusions working his mind. Earth kept shifting under his feet so he couldn't close distance when he needed to, or pulled him closer when it was least advantageous.
  275.
  276. "That I am just a sheep. That my throat should be slit on the cobblestone and left to sit out and be washed away in the rain. That Esshar would be happier with me gone."
  277.
  278. A barrage of blows hitting Tiernay in the side, forcing him to fall back through it all. Gritted teeth, forever gritted teeth as he smashed again and again at the Shadow mage.
  279.
  280. "But that is my wife you attacked. And it is my ruins that you waltzed into. Things that I choose. The choices that I consider right, MAYBE THE ONLY THINGS I HAVE EVER DONE RIGHT."
  281.
  282. "SO YOU CAN GET OUT OF THIS SHEEP'S FUCKING PEN."
  283.
  284. Romani's fist would slam into the side of Tiernay, knocking him back, forcing him back.
  285.
  286. For perhaps the first time in his life?
  287.
  288. Success.
  289. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  290. [00:59] ...How much before a man breaks?
  291.
  292. The drakanite watched the battle keenly, each exchange too close for comfort. It has him on edge, his lips parted ever so slightly. The gold-shrouded fists that eventually pummeled into the shadowmancer secured the Antistellus's victory, and then there's that outburst that comes.
  293.
  294. Where he cracks a little.
  295.
  296. A break in the dam of his calm mind, previously straight faced even when being called a traitor, a puppet, mundane...
  297.
  298. Sythaeryn enjoys the change. He hummed a sound under his breath.
  299. (Sythaeryn Vartuul)
  300. [01:01] How curious.
  301.
  302. It's not that he's unfamiliar with the man's fighting; truthfully, he actually faced Romani before, all these years ago.. under a different guise altogether - but both of them are entirely different men by now. While the shout and cry out almost seems to resonate with both desperation and rage alike..
  303.
  304. It doesn't seem to evoke much but a tilt of his head.
  305.
  306. To admit that he's a sheep, to admit that he's only supposed to be cast aside? Perhaps, there's a notion of looking heroic with such action.. but that only made him shake his head.
  307.
  308. "He who surrenders all hope falls to their lowest instincts."
  309.
  310. But maybe that's what Romani needed.
  311.
  312. Maybe he had to stop thinking the way he does for a change.. and let his instincts guide him, even if they were considered to be lowest - because it is the lowest instincts that often guide one to survival and persevering.
  313.
  314. At any cost, no matter what.
  315.
  316. "Though, I'm sure Tiernay won't be long until a rematch.."
  317. (Basil)
  318. [01:01] When the world was boring as Hel there always was one who'd try to spice things up. Someone who enjoyed bloodshed merely because it caused more chaos. Someone who wouldn't stand for idle lives being lived.
  319.
  320. While Tiernay may be at the top of the world at times, he'd find himself under the Stellus's angry fist in this instance. Perhaps it had been the way he taunted them, or fought them in a manner that drew naught but disrespect.
  321.
  322. Regardless, the shadow magi had made this decision on his own. He'd thrown himself into battle after battle, and now?
  323.
  324. He paid the price.
  325.
  326. A small smile tugged itself on Kofe's lips, not out of sadism, or happiness over other people's accomplishments, but rather...
  327.
  328. .. out of entertainment.
  329.
  330. At least, Tiernay had cured boredom for the moment being.
  331. (Kofe)
  332. [01:05] The dizzying flurries of Romani seemed to have Tiernay on the ropes, the light magi screaming of his own lacking self-worth. Strangely the more he talked himself down? The better his fighting became!
  333.
  334. Blows rained from all directions battered the master of shadows, until finally he was forced back with one final strike.
  335.
  336. Judeau had made a game out of trying to count the man's punches. He'd failed miserably.
  337.
  338. Romani's triumph was a symbol of hope in Judeau's mind; if Tiernay could be bested then perhaps there was hope for the rebuilding process after all! Grinning in spite of himself, the boy realized what he was doing and quickly let the expression fall from his face.
  339. (Judeau Crestwood)
  340. [01:05] The masked figure at the very end of the bench, as the shadow magi attacked- and even injured Ophelia, still does not do anything. Something about her chills- the air around her, as she watches on.
  341.
  342. She knew that she wasn't strong enough to do anything if she had to. She held no power compared to even the others in this square..
  343.
  344. While Romani fights, though, it's a flicker of hope for her; watching as he strikes back at the man trying to put them down for straying from the grain. For refusing to bend knee to the Tyrant in the swamps.
  345.
  346. It was a grim realization, for her.. even if she'd felt pride for the Montclaire.
  347. (Lady Blue)
  348. [01:05] Even as Tiernay moved to lash out against Romani, there wasn't an ounce of concern upon those pale trembling features, even as the pain radiated it's way from her side to her back and to her front. That hand of hers maintained pressure on the wound, even as his own holy magic washed over her to make the sting bite a little less.
  349.
  350. There wasn't concern on her face because she had faith in him. She believed in him. Even as Tiernay insulted and offended them and declared he'd never allow Osrona to see those shimmering days again? She believed in him. The very power of Ios surrounded him, and her cerulean gaze never left his form as he practically danced about Tiernay.
  351.
  352. Fists slammed into flesh, a sickening thud being heard with each and ever blow that comes from him. A wince is offered occasionally, with every blow that pounds against human flesh and bruises it.
  353.
  354. Part of her is tempted to look away, but she does not. Her gaze is unwavering and it's only once Romani echoes her sentiment, demanding for Tiernay to get out does she leap to the chance to echo. To place her faith in him wholly.
  355.
  356. "GET. OUT!" She echoed once more, a fierceness to their bold declaration. Had he considered them helpless? Defenseless? While Ophelia was no fighter, she had shown just how rough she could truly be. And Romani? He had shown then and there they would not simply roll over. Not today.
  357. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  358. [01:05] Multiple fights unfolded before him, both of them involving Tiernay, acting out of an element of boredem.
  359.
  360. Demios could resonate with the sensation of wanting a little violence admist bordem, but to such an intended lethality.
  361.
  362. He sighed slightly, having tried and failed to stop Danica getting involved in the situation.
  363.
  364. He sat there, content to watch the scene unfold, holding no feelings for one side or other, the rebuilding of Osrona also held little interest for him, outside of any potential profit could be made from it.
  365.
  366. Watching Romani advance on the shadow magi, caused him to raise an eyebrow, obviously fueled by rage, it was almost a pleasant sight to see such fury unleashed.
  367. (Demios Arborea)
  368. [01:06] Excitement typically dulls the blows of the unencouraged, and initially it is certainly proven that perhaps there is a glimpse of energy that pushes through the dark veil which dances about his person.
  369.
  370. The shadows collide with light, persistence but a characteristic that details not only his assailant well, but the one whom certainly fails to back down, or even release the momento within his grasp.
  371.
  372. That confidence will persist, even if he is slightly disturbed by the fact his body cannot keep up.
  373.
  374. Romani's fist meets its mark, and the shadow magi does find himself knocked off his feet. Distanced, though certainly relatively unharmed for his endeavors.
  375.
  376. "Perhaps a ram is more fitting for the cattle which persists." He chuckles, Palais withdrawn for only a moment. "Though your comfortable home remains so... For now."
  377.
  378. Even now, the shadow mage is content with defeat. After all, the means to come back stronger is but a simple approach for next time. Now had been the time to leave, however.
  379. (Tiernay Reveille)
  380. [01:06] The events of the evening sure had taken their turn. Amongst the rubble of what was once a thriving and very much alive city- lie nothing but troubles and woe. Normally Danica would not care about such happenings. Truth be told, she had not a single care for Ophelia. Though she had been useful. Thus, a debt she had tried to repay.
  381.
  382. But she had failed.
  383.
  384. Ophilia did however, manage to escape with her life. Which wasn't much of a surprise. For even if she didn't know Tiernay's relationship in regards to Ophelia- she did know the mind rather well. Though now, Ophelia was damaged goods. Until she were to be fixed.
  385.
  386. Now those purple hues lie on Romani. Though he stepped up because Tiernay had taunted him, Danica had just the hunch that he would have stepped in regardless. For his wife, nonetheless. Honorable she supposed, though honor and responsibility were subjective, weren't they?
  387.
  388. For now she sat and observed. Silent now, for what it was worth. Though she was sure she would hear about her outburst later.
  389.
  390.
  391. (Danica Drugovic)
  392. [01:09] Danica gives a nod toward Demios.
  393. (Danica Drugovic)
  394. [01:15] It was said that occultism was formed through dark emotions. Pain. Hurt. Despair. And through it all? Maybe in another life it would have been occultism instead of holy magic he learned. If not for that slimmer of hope, and hope that kept remaining to that day.
  395.
  396. The blows continued, but that last one did manage to send Tiernay back. Not enough to hurt him, but enough..
  397.
  398. His breath intake is slow. For a few moments he remains in that combative stance, prepared if Tiernay were to make another hostile move. But the guardians soon arrive to assist, and the shadow mage seemed fine with leaving.
  399.
  400. That breakage, perhaps, remains. His posture straightens all the same, looking towards Tiernay.
  401.
  402. "It remains. And here we stay. We will prove ourselves to Esshar."
  403.
  404. "Because no one will just hand us the world on the plate. We have to struggle until we climb.
  405.
  406. A small swallow, deep breaths, before turning. More important then the fight, or his problems in his lack of pride. Something more pressing filled his mind.
  407.
  408. A small nod to Judeau, and to Lady Blue, hoping that the Rhoynish and Alabastians who watched the fight would not interrupt him or strike him down, or that those who watched for chaos were already thoroughly entertained. No, his cosmic glow leads him back to his wife.
  409.
  410. "Show me your injuries. I can tend to them."
  411.
  412. A lift of his head towards Danica and Deimos. "Thank you."
  413.
  414. An exhale, and a feeling of slight hope within.
  415. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  416. [01:17] Mars shifts briefly in place...A gentle sigh soon spilling past her lips. She says nothing as of now...But it's clear that she intends on leaving.
  417. (Mars)
  418. [01:17] Danica gets up to leave as well.
  419. (Danica Drugovic)
  420. [01:17] "Nothing worth doing is ever easy." She comments, backing up Romani's words all the same. As he approaches, her gaze peers up at him and finally her hand releases itself from her side to show the shallow cut upon her side.
  421.
  422. "I'm fine." She muttered, with bitter undertones to her voice. "But.... You did well. Good job."
  423. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  424. [01:20] Judeau couldn't believe that he'd garnered any notice at all, his cheeks flushing slightly. He eyed the towering mass of light that lingered near Romani apprehensively, however, clearing his throat into one hand before speaking up in a quiet voice.
  425.
  426. "I'm glad neither of you were seriously hurt." he uttered, bowing his head low before he began to shuffle away. He felt rejuvenated after watching the series of battles back to back, so he was off to see what he could find outside of Osrona's walls--or what remained of them at least.
  427.
  428. All the while his mind raced: If he was a mage what sort of magic would he hope to wield? Or would he opt for the blade instead?
  429. (Judeau Crestwood)
  430. [01:25] A small smile begins to crack upon Romani's lips.
  431.
  432. "It may not be easy. But some things have to be done anyways." A small nod, looking towards the shallow cut that had been left upon the side. Holy magic now fully words to tend to the pain caused by it, numbing it as he draws out a medical kit from his back.
  433.
  434. Lax essence is first used to sterilze the wound, as well as lessen the pain that it might have felt. Following this, Romani would have pressed down on the wound. While such normally had a chance to close the bleeding, using his holy magic, he would assist in the skin closing faster. By no means was it perfect, but the holy magic would allow for it to heal at a faster pace, and he would then take out a gauze.
  435.
  436. Wrapping it around the side of her wound, he would finish the treatment, pausing a bit as the gold and blue eyes rested on it, looking over and making sure she was no longer in pain.
  437.
  438. "Thank you. I.."
  439.
  440. "I told you.I am going to try to protect you as much as possible." He nodded.
  441.
  442. With that, his eyes rise, looking towards Judea. A small smile towards them. "Thank you. I am glad that no one got seriously hurt as well."
  443.
  444. And with his mana circuits exhausted? The guardian of ios begins to slowly fade from behind his back as he let out a breath to calm.
  445.
  446. "Osrona was not built in a night."
  447.
  448. "But I feel closer to it being built tonight then before."
  449. (Romani cos Montclaire)
