Casting Call for A BLIND 13-15 YEAR OLD GIRL for BBC1 Television Drama


The BBC are currently looking for a young blind actress for a television drama shooting in the UK.  This project is being cast by Andy Pryor Casting.

ROLE:

LENE is 13 to 15 years old.  We are looking for a GENUINELY blind actress for this role.   We can also consider 16/17 year olds if they look very young. No acting experience is required but must be very confident, and comfortable about the idea of filming for a few weeks.

WE ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR GENUINELY BLIND ACTRESSES FOR THIS ROLE.  THE AGE RANGE IS CRUCIAL TOO, AS THE CHARACTER MUST LOOK BELIEVABLY BETWEEN 13 & 15 YEARS OF AGE.  PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT SUGGESTIONS THAT DON’T FIT THIS BRIEF

DATES:

Shoot dates: 1st November – 17th December 2017 (will not be required for the whole period, but we’d need clear availability across this time as the schedule is not yet fixed.) There may be rehearsals prior to the shoot dates.

**Please note that the production will arrange tutoring for any school time missed.  This is a paid role and the production will provide travel and accommodation for the actress and a parent/guardian and also provide a chaperone in accordance with UK child working regulations.

Auditions: Initial auditions will either take place in London, or via tape (full instructions will be provided).
