  5. [2013-10-07 19:07:49] <Falconis> Hao has called you to the briefing room finally, after spending much longer than the aforementioned day in between missions, a small blessing since most everyone on the strike teams had wounds to nurse and bones to be reset.

  8. [2013-10-07 19:08:14] <Falconis> Nevertheless, both teams have arrived at the large briefing room where Hao and Cue stand waiting. The American team will not be returning after their next assignment.

  10. [2013-10-07 19:09:13] * Dinah rubs at a sore shoulder, the GUTS badge now displayed on the belt which her Falcatta is strapped to.
  11. [2013-10-07 19:09:37] <Falconis> [Hao]"Good Morning, elites. I trust that you are now more comfortable with each other's presence and can begin working as a team. If not, you need to get your act together, and fast."

  13. [2013-10-07 19:10:00] <Falconis> The aged man beside him adjusts his glasses and points at a chart covered in diagrams and data tables .
  14. [2013-10-07 19:10:25] <Falconis> [Cue]"The missions from last week provided us with some much needed resources and insights into enemy technology. Team A defeated the malevolent Doctor Volg Ritter and recovered data that has allowed me to advance our own technology quite a bit.
  15. [2013-10-07 19:10:25] <Falconis> Team B defeated the nefarious Magneton Lord and the aircraft they brought back will allow quick travel across the world to where they need to be."

  19. [2013-10-07 19:13:10] <Falconis> [Hao]"We have two high priority assignments in this sector, Team B, you will be given special briefing in Camp Lannister, but I want you to pay attention."
  20. [2013-10-07 19:14:25] <Falconis> "First, the russians have a Naval base here at the Liaotung Peninsula on land leased from the Chinese a few years ago. Many of you may know it, Port Arthur"

  23. [2013-10-07 19:15:42] <Falconis> "Their presence here provides a perfect staging ground for them to make counter attacks on the Japanese people, they must be driven out, hopefully keeping the structure intact so we may use it as our own staging grounds"
  24. [2013-10-07 19:16:29] <Falconis> "However, if infiltration is impossible, we will authorize a voltorb sweep on the target. This is sub optimal so I want you to succeed in the operation"

  29. [2013-10-07 19:18:37] <Falconis> "The Chinese have decided to remain neutral in this conflict, however Russian diplomats have been seen entering the imperial palace. This along with the aforementioned land deal, gives us reason to believe China may be swayed into joining the russian cause"
  30. [2013-10-07 19:19:14] <Falconis> "The resources and military expertise they could bring to bear would be the tipping point of this war, the Russians must not be allowed to sway them"
  31. [2013-10-07 19:20:16] <Falconis> "Your mission if you choose to accept it will be to go to the Chinese court and assist our diplomatic liaison in convincing them to remain neutral or to instead join the cause of the Japo-American Coalition"
  32. [2013-10-07 19:20:55] <Falconis> "This mission is heavily diplomatic in nature, however I wouldn't put it past the russians to try and take out our guys, so there is a guard facet to that as well."
  33. [2013-10-07 19:21:38] <Falconis> "Both these missions come with heavy risks, and much responsibility. I will allow you a few moments to choose among yourselves where you will go."

  35. [2013-10-07 19:22:52] * Dinah motions to her group after a moment of thought and sighs, scratching the back of her head "Personally, I'm not too good with words. Nor do i have major backing, so I'd vote we hit Port Arthur"

  51. [2013-10-07 19:38:35] <Falconis> He reaches to his right and cue slides a folder into his open hand. He flips it open and scans a few lines "We have an aircraft ready to take you to an air field in langfang 20 minutes out from the capital"
  52. [2013-10-07 19:39:30] <Falconis> "Or if you want to take that boat of yours you can take it around the Korean jitte and land in Tianjin, hour or so out"
  53. [2013-10-07 19:39:49] * Dinah gives her group a put upon look before she stands and gathers her bag, taking a moment to consider. "I vote we use the bote"

  56. [2013-10-07 19:40:42] <Abram> "Not a half-bad idea. If something happens, we can still use it." Abram stands, giving a slight chuckle. "Unless one of you knows how to fly a plane."
  57. [2013-10-07 19:40:56] <Falconis> "When you get there you will be met by our associate Yuu Yakamura. Hes been a diplomat for longer than most of you have been alive, so listen to his orders and bring us back a win."

  60. [2013-10-07 19:42:07] <Falconis> He throws the file down on the table and adjusts his right glove "Get your supplies and be out of here within the hour. Dismissed"

  67. [2013-10-07 19:44:41] <Abram> "While we're here sir, I wanted to talk to you." Abram walks over to Hao as the others swamp the file. "I'm a journalist after all."
  68. [2013-10-07 19:44:56] <Falconis> The file details locations of interest and persons of note in the current Qui empire
  69. [2013-10-07 19:45:25] <Falconis> Hao frowns a bit "You know there are some questions I can't answer, but go ahead"

  71. [2013-10-07 19:46:18] <Jay> What's the power structure like? What're the places of interest? Also, what's the military power like?
  72. [2013-10-07 19:47:08] <Abram> "A report on a mad Russian scientist committing diabolical experiments on Psyducks? That should help keep the public on our side. But I need to know what they can safely hear."
  73. [2013-10-07 19:48:13] <Falconis> The military power in the country is devided up among four sections, Air, Land and Sea as with most modern military but with the addition of a Great Abyss Section that rivals the other areas in sheer manpower

  75. [2013-10-07 19:49:45] <Falconis> These are controlled by 4 Great generals who have skillfully operated in their fields from quite a young age, all of them are still in their prime. Above all of these is the Empress Qui herself who can give any order to these men and have it carried out

Also if you are able, make a note that the Japanese Military is working to ensure the safety of the area and the shutdown of his facilities."

  86. [2013-10-07 19:56:41] <Falconis> Cultural differences: Many pokemon are allowed in court and in Jobs and such without the need of a trainer if they are able. There are many pokemon in martial arts schools of their own volition and Pokemon with high enough intelligence are treated no different than people

  101. [2013-10-07 20:07:19] <Falconis> You head down to the port and load up on the ship you 'appropriated' from the late Dr.Volg. As soon as Neuros steps on he seems to go into deep thought and takes a seat...or deeper thought you can't really tell with this guy
  102. [2013-10-07 20:08:07] <Falconis> As soon as everything is secured the boat shifts iinto gear and glides away from the port, accelerating smoothly even with the lack of pilot
  103. [2013-10-07 20:08:28] * Dinah releases Ira, the Wingull set to settle on the Central mast and keep watch as she watches from the tip of the boat.

  108. [2013-10-07 20:12:22] <Falconis> The Japanese coast fades over the horizon just as the south korean one comes into view. You pass through the zone without incident and change course to head north, the boat continuing it's silent glide over the waves

  131. [2013-10-07 20:22:21] <Falconis> The little black speeder cuts it's speed as it draws close to you. And now that they are close enough, it's clear for all to see that the people on it don't look chinese

[2013-10-07 20:24:22] <Falconis> They draw ahead of your course even with their much smaller craft as one of the men, he has a nicer coat than the rest, stands up and shouts over a megaphone " You are entering Waters controlled by the Russian Military, turn your craft back now, or you will be fired upon"

  164. [2013-10-07 20:36:13] <Falconis> He is a stocky, well built man with a wide jaw and a serious face. A jagged red slash runs across his lower left jaw

  183. [2013-10-07 20:43:25] <Falconis> He nods and...puzzles over the controls a bit, seeming unfamiliar
  184. [2013-10-07 20:43:39] <Falconis> Eventually he has them in hand and you are once again underway

  186. [2013-10-07 20:45:12] * Dinah stays quiet, seeming casual as she braces against the wall looking for all the world like a guard.

  188. [2013-10-07 21:06:32] <Falconis> not once do you come close enough to the shores the coast to get a good look at what's around thanks to the path he takes you

  190. [2013-10-07 21:07:47] <Falconis> [R]"Good day gentlemen, and Lady" he tips his hat at Dinah " Travel safely, there are wild pokemon in these waters"

  197. [2013-10-07 21:11:22] <Falconis> A few moments after you start moving, the black speeder turns and heads off in the opposite direction
  198. [2013-10-07 21:12:06] <Abram> Once they're out of sight, Abram lets out a sigh of relief. "Close call."

  200. [2013-10-07 21:14:23] <Falconis> You continue towards Tanjin, having passed through the naval base waters mostly unmolested. A few hours later, you land in Binhai, a few minutes out of Tianjin

  202. [2013-10-07 21:15:52] <Falconis> you may want to lock your doors though
