  1. 14:34] As Eniel stepped into the rift and once again found himself embraced by the beauty of the Glade. He sat upon the bench Nyphadora had created for them once before and got out his journal so he could take notes as well as focus his attention on the fae.
  2.
  3. " Well my first question is pretty obvious but...What is rift storage?" He'd say pen in hand prepared to write down what she said.
  4. (Eniel Daigal)
  5. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6.
  7. [14:40] The Glade- A place the young man had been to far too many times to need an explanation at this point.
  8.
  9. Taking a seat upon one of the branches of the Eternal Tree, the Fairy would begin answering with a cough.
  10.
  11. "Rift Storage is the art of literally 'fold' the space around an object, allowing you to store items- It is going to kill anything, however inmate objects can easily be stored. It is said that some skilled Magi can conceal several weapons at any time, and then summon them at all!"
  12.
  13. As an example, the Fae but threw her staff forward and then- It was gone. Just like that.
  14.
  15. "And it certainly is true. As a matter of fact, I carry most of my belongings this way."
  16.
  17. A smirk, "But of course, just doing that is far too complicated for you! So. We shall be doing it with runes. Any questions before we begin?"
  18. (Nyphadora)
  19. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20.
  21. [14:45] Eniel took notes diligently but made sure to keep his eye contact to the examples that were shown...To fold space around an object. Sounds quite violent if you think about it more and more and indeed he did have some questions.
  22.
  23. " So...if you are folding space around an object wouldn't it break or destroy that object? If anything organic were to be caught in a distortion like that as you said it would die...but...Wouldn't that be a rather unsavory take on using riftmancy to harm someone? Is that even possible?" After his questions were answered as he was sure Nyphadora would have the appropriate answers to his questions he prepared himself for the studying of the runes...
  24.
  25. He wasn't all to thrilled seeing as he wasn't a runescribe but he would do his utmost to focus on the task of learning them even if it meant he and to pour blood sweat and tears into it.
  26. (Eniel Daigal)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [15:01] "Mm, consider it like-- You are putting an object into a complete vacuum. Not all objects can withstand it, and definitely not any living being. But sturdy things, like weapons made of fine materials, definitely can!"
  30.
  31. Swift to throw herself off of the branch, she fluttered on down to Eniel- By her side was the ever so relevant Tome on Riftmancy she had written, extended out for the young man to take.
  32.
  33. "Chapter 12, Runes - Rift Storage." A nod, "You will need to study this. A slight annoyance, I understand, however well worth the effort, I promise. Much less likely that you succumb, and the more tools to use the merrier, yes?!" A little snicker, "And of course you are welcome to self-study the rest after this lesson, if you desire."
  34.
  35. "But first, I shall show a quick example of how to use it proper- Then you will make an attempt, worry not in the worst case you will simply destroy the object." It was the Worldscape after all!
  36.
  37. With a snap of her fingers, a sheet of paper would appear before them. Atop of it, a pencil. Fluttering forward to it, the Fairy would begin her demonstration with an explanation.
  38.
  39. "Utilizing runes here is for the sake of ensuring the process can be done, once you have done it yourself just once with this… Mm, it should give you a good feeling of how to grasp upon space, yes?" Or at the very least aid him in believing so, for simply believing it was a requirement as well- Much magic was dependant on confidence!
  40.
  41. "Simply allowing your mana to flow into it, however keep a steady flow as to allow you to feel the magic."
  42.
  43. Arms were raised and palms faced the sheet; within an instant, it would begin to glow- Not the usual blue, but rather a colour of red and purple. With a few sparks of corrupt lightning, the pencil itself seemed to literally fold over itself and immediately vanish from sight.
  44.
  45. And with yet another slight release of her mana, the process was repeat however this time the pencil was unfolded and retrieved.
  46.
  47. "Easy, yes? You try!" And so the sheet with the runes in question and the pencil floated on over to Eniel, a smile adorning the lips of the Fairy just behind them.
  48. (Nyphadora)
  49. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50.
  51. [15:01] {Item} You picked up Nyphadora's Tome On Rift Magic. Dropped by Nyphadora. .
  52. [15:14] Eniel nodded, He couldn't be fearful of the magic he intended to master after all and thus he'd watch carefully as Nyphadora handed him the tome of riftmancy and he quickly turned his textbook to read on the chapter 12 and the Rift storage capabilities..
  53.
  54. " Ah I see..so it these runes focus the space around the object to close on it...its like if the object is compressed upon itself." As he drew more understanding from the words of the tome it helped an even greater deal to see the fae show an example of this right before his eyes!
  55.
  56.
  57. As the rune illuminated the space around the pencil began to fold in on itself churning into nothingness as if it had never existed in the first place, and then reversed itself back into existence. He was enamored by such a principle use of riftmancy and indeed the madness part of his brain did start to turn but he kept his attention focused on the task at hand.
  58.
  59. placing the pencil and the paper out in front of him he'd aim to recreate the same procedure by placing his hand on the paper. Flat and open and the pencil in the center of the rune. As he concentrated he tried to remember that feeling and sensation he felt when he channeled the cosmos and tore open a small rift once before...
  60.
  61. As the runes began to glow so did the exact steps used by Nyphadora, The pencil quickly vanished form the space it was occupying! Inverted into itself and blinked out of existence. As he tried the reverse now of willing the pencil back it did indeed return...however it came back in two separate pieces snapped in half.
  62.
  63. Eniel looked a little disappointed but after a while of thinking upon I this was quite good for his first attempt at the very least. " The sensation of moving an object else where is quite a unique one. Even if I didn't do it perfectly being able to do so much is a step in the right direction." He'd say with a grin aiming to repeat the process until he gotit right...Four or five more tries afterwards he final got it down.
  64.
  65. Which led him to not fail at it any of the other times he tried the process." Okay I think I've gotten the hang of it this far with the aid of the runes. As well." He'd say turning towards his teacher.
  66. (Eniel Daigal)
  67. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68.
  69. [15:19] A nod.
  70.
  71. "Now continue practicing until you can do it with large objects, then without the runes and finally on large objects without the runes too!" Another nod.
  72.
  73. "Of course, going all the way is not required- However well recommended. I at least wish for you to practice this for a while until you are fully accustomed to it."
  74.
  75. Eyes glanced about the Worldscape for a moment, the Fae seeming to ponder over something before finally returning her attention to Eniel.
  76.
  77. "And as I said, you may self-study further if you desire. Some of my students upon receiving the Tome are more than capable of finishing up themselves after studying it, and I have no doubt you could too if desired. I can be a bit tough to reach sometimes, yes?" A little snicker!
  78.
  79. "But alas, all I ask in return is the Tome once you are finished! That one was my last copy actually…"
  80. (Nyphadora)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [15:30] As the explaintion of his next task was given and the blessing to continue to delve further in the art even without training Eniel nodded he would have to pace himself though it was often heard of many riftmancy students attempting to practice and rifting themselves into oblivion.
  84.
  85. He did as he was instructed and began transporting rocks that were bigger than the pencil. Taking the time to access its weight and mass with gravity magic then dispersing it with rift magic in tandem. A genius use of both concepts one he came up with naturally without being told a thing!
  86.
  87. " If I analyze the weight and mass and the proportions of an object with gravity magic I can then manipulate the gravity around it to shift its mass and then with rift magic to condense said object into the folding space. Its like...a precheck kind of deal! If I can ascertain the information of the object it makes it all the more easier to know how to bend the space and time around it.." He continuedto repeat this process until he got some gist of how it could be repeated perhaps this method of doing things could eventually evolve into something more but as of for now it was used merely to move objects into an envelope of spacetime!
  88.
  89. As he was told to take good care and to return the book he felt a bit of pressure and responsibility Dawning on his shoulders." I'll take good care of it then and I'll be sure to return it to you once I've mastered riftmancy fully!" the boy let out a confident smile he had trust in his own ability to learn how to master riftmancy and with this tome and both his teachers being so remarkable it would be quite a weird situation if he couldn't learn much on his own after all!
  90.
  91. " I'll treasure it until the day I return it to you! Who knows I might rift into the glade after spending so much time here I feel as if its almost a second or third home to me now. Haha well that's only if you or your Lady allows me." With a final bow he'd give to the fae he'd only feel appreciation towards them and a unsurmountable feeling of gratitude.
  92.
  93. " Thank you again for you taking me under your wings I won't disappoint you and I plan to take the art of riftmancy to new heights once I achieve it!" He said with a grin...As of for now it seemed he would have to study on his own..Which was something he did quite often or with Gisei so either option seemed to work in his favor.
  94. (Eniel Daigal)
  95. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  96.
  97. [15:32] "Oh? That does sound interesting! Many people discover new ways of using magic, and easily shapes it after their personality. Am sure you will do the same!"
  98.
  99. With a wave of her hand, reality was torn open and a portal to Dawn was made- "I have great faith in you, Eniel. That is why I took the time to teach you! I know you will succeed, the only question is when."
  100.
  101. "Now then, shall we head back?" A smile.
  102. (Nyphadora)
  103. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  104.
  105. [15:33] Nyphadora appears from a rift with Eniel, woah!
  106. (Nyphadora)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.
  109. [15:33] Eniel appears back from the worldscape yet again.
  110. (Eniel Daigal)
