  1. I imagine a rescue team docking to a long quarantined station, a forlorn colossus hanging in space, dark and abandoned. There are a few ships docked but all bear marks of a battle. The team, having traveled a long time stretch their legs and secure the area around the docking site. There's no sign of the plague that allegedly caused the disaster that necessitated the quarantine, lots of corpses though, and broken bones, pale-white in the black. The rookie of the group shakily notes that the marrow has been scooped out. The team reluctantly agree to keep going, they expected bodies but not half-devoured bones As the crew stalk through the dark corridors they meet a few drifters, survivors of the catastrophe but they seem none-the worse for wear, an eclectic bunch that credit their survival to the food-giver and the mercy of the non-eater, the self-starver. A being that seems to carry both negative and positive connotations. They seem scared of this being, not all though and some claim to be good friends with the other figure. The team direct the wanderers to the waiting rescue ship but very few take their offer. It's been ten years, they've made new lives, they do request new Galaxi-net coverage though, It's hard to fix a transmission tower reduced to slag.
  2.
  3. The team keeps moving, stopping only to eat and sleep in burnt out habitat-pods. There are bullet-holes and ineligible slogans stippled across the walls but old, washed out. They're hesitant, they never expected survivors, let along healthy ones.
  4. Eventually another wanderer provides more info, tells the team to talk to the beast and tamer. There's a tamer now? Is this the other figure the others mentioned? He offers them some raspberries and speaks of the one who both sated the hunger of the beast and stopped it from eating? There was a war in the station says the traveler, until another enemy arrived which both factions turned against, then the enemy turned against itself and everything sorted itself out. He seems to take great pleasure in the team's confusion.
  5. The story unravels as they travel deeper into the massive station, passing fledgling villages in bombed out mega-malls and traders riding patched together synth-flesh steeds laden with vegetables. They seem oddly content.
  6. Eventually they reach a somewhat intact habitat area, it's overgrown with luminescent flora and a thick green mat of sanitation moss.
  7. The earthy foresty scent permeates through the team's masks. They come across a vast garden, There are planters that used to be everything from transit-pods to decorative fountains and birdbaths/recharge stations for the decorative synth-birds. All placed in neat rows as far as the eye can see, bathed in artificial sunlight and full of various vegetables and plants.
  8.
  9. They watch in stunned silence as the creature, somehow insectoid but mammalian at the same time switches between fondling herself, groaning, and plucking raspberries from the bush and using her freakishly long arms to feed the comparatively tiny human berries as he humps an ass the size of his torso.
  10.
  11. The team has enough tact to wait till after the deed is done and the gardening has begun to introduce themselves. The smell lingers though.
  12.
  13. The team walk silently through the great garden. A form appears from behind a fruit bearing tree growing out of a manhole. Roughly three meters tall. Wearing only an apron, undeniable feminine, sleek. A flexible carapace with edges like razor-blades, two arms holding a trovel and bucket, two others ending in vicious claws. The team raise their weapons but the team-leader urges them to hide instead. He sees the tools and the creature appears to not have seen them, what kind of monster does gardening anyway? They keep observing though and notice something odd the creature's matte-black talons. A golden ring, polished to a mirror sheen. Gleaming in the artificial light.
  14. A human follows the creature, holding a rake. They're talking, the mandibles of the creature moving like the fingers of a pianist. The man slap the creature on the rear and smiles. The team do the opposite, only their helmets prevent their chins from hitting the mossy ground.
  15. Their headgear strain further as the gardening duo unashamedly start fondling one another. Unaware of their audience. A hovercar wreck full of what looks like raspberries rocks as the creature bends over on it. The man strokes the back of her head, fondling the messy bush of fluttering antennae, the creature seems to like that.
  16. Then the wreck starts bouncing, rocking on its rusted-out landing gear. The springs squeak loudly and the raspberry bush growing in the passenger compartment starts waving as though in a strong wind.
  17.

  20. The human politely declines a rescue. The creature politely refrains from eating the team. She's a vegetarian now, the man tells them. he pats her matronly thighs proudly, but apparently she still carries an appetite for guns pointed her way. She merely glares at them while nibbling on a cucumber.
  21. They leave with a lot of vegetables for the journey home and a memory they'd rather forget.
