  1. The red haired girl clutched the blanket that had been wrapped around her, a blond young man with a sheathed sword looked out the door to several metahumans and soldiers.
  2.
  3. "Don't go... You'll die if you do..." The young woman weakly pleaded, she was in no shape to fight let alone stop him if he went. Yellow eyes looked back with a soft smile.
  4.
  5. "And let that dream of yours die with you? You gotta live for that, Firecracker... And that, is a dream I'm willing to lay my life down for." He said as he looked to the sheathed sword. "One more fight, old friend. Like facing the demon lord's army all those years ago in the world we came from..." He said gripping the sword.
  6.
  7. Death never scared the blonde haired hero, he'd faced many adversities and trials, always coming out on top in the end. Yet having been brought to this world, seeing how wrong it's become, having learned of the young fire girl's aspirations and dreams not unlike his own...
  8.
  9. "i'll be going ahead, alright, Firecracker?" He said as he headed out to face the army. 'Firecracker.' A nickname he'd given the girl due to her weakened meta fire abilities appearing less like the majestic fire they once were and instead like small fireworks. She reached out to him, watching his back disappear.
  10.
  11. He stood before the army and inhaled slowly before exhaling. "For the dream of Solaria. For the dream of every Metahuman who screams for the right to exist..." He began as he dug deep into his reservoir of power as a rainbow aura exploded around him, his hair floating up, spiked by the overflowing energy as he draw his blade. "HEAR MY CALL, YGGDRACIEL SWORD OF HOLY POWER!" He roared as the mithril blue blade glowed and resonated with his power becoming a brilliant rainbow blade. "For those who cry out of injustice, for those who's wills are trampled upon, I Andreit Van Skywright, hero of Ixtheria shall put an end to this darkness and bring forth a new dawn!" He declaired pointing his blade at the army.
  12.
  13. Bullets and explosions rang out from outside the safety bunker the young woman was sheltered in as her weak hands for the first time, clasped together in prayer, her head bowed, praying for the young man's victory and safety, she never believed in a higher power, or religion, yet, just this once... If there was a god.... Someone of high power... To hear her pitiful prayer.
  14.
  15. Outside the battle raged, several soldiers fell as meta humans were knocked unconscious, the hero taking several injuries as blood dripped from him, his white jacket torn and shredded, as he breathed heavily. "Blessings of the Water Goddess head my prayer! Water Magic: Recovering Rain!" He called as a light opened above and poured healing rain on him, his wounds closing before he smirked and rushed into battle.
  16.
  17. "Wind Magic: Sylpheed's Grace!" He called out as his movements and reaction speed increased, weaving bullets and attacks as he soon jumped into the air, avoiding a rocket. "Fire Magic: Ingia's Flame Arrow - Type:Rain!" He shouted as he pulled back creating a fire bow and unleashing explosive fire arrows down taking out swaths of the enemy before landing. His aura began to lessen as he used more magic. "Hh... I see..." He said as he chuckled.
  18.
  19. As the battle continued to rage the fighting grew less and less as the young woman continued to pray. Soon, there was only silence as the battle eventually came to an end. Mustering her strength she stumbled out to the scene, the young man standing wounded and bloodied. the Greenhouse soldiers dead and the Metahumans unconscious as he planted his sword into the ground to keep him on his feet.
  20.
  21. "I... Told you... I'm... Going to bring... A new dawn.... For Metahuman... Kind.... Your dream... Is similar.... To that... Right, Firecracker?" He questioned looking back at her as he fell back just in time for her to catch him.
  22.
  23. "Why...? Why do all of this... Just for me?" She asked, tears welling.
  24.
  25. "It's... A dream worth... Seeing through...." He told her simply.
  26.
  27. "You idiot... Look at you... I... I'll get you back inside... There's medical supplies in the bunker...!" She said her mind trying to rationalize how to save him, yet in the back of her mind she knew the wounds he had sustained were grievous.
  28.
  29. "Hehe... You know... THat's not how this goes..." He said, knowing well he'd used up his energy as he could not heal his own injuries. "Hey... Solaria... Show me... Those fireworks you did... Like when we met..." He said weakly.
  30.
  31. Choking back tears, Solaria conjured up flames and shot them into the sky, prismatic rainbow fireworks burst into the dawning sky of reds and orange. Unknown to her, tears had begun falling as she continued firing off the brilliant fireworks.
  32.
  33. "They're still... Just as...... Pretty....... As I remember...... Seeing....... Them......" He said weakly, closing his eyes softly in her arms. *"I'm sorry... Firecracker. For leaving you... But, you're a strong girl... I simply opened the path for you..."* He thought to himself, feeling his consciousness fade, his otherworld partners coming into view waving at him. *"Do you guys think... I did enough?"* He questioned to their smiling faces, he closed his eyes and smiled softly before a new warmth filled his body, slowly at first, then gradually as the warmth built up more and more.
  34.
  35. The rising sun was met with wailing screams for her fallen new friend, a new ability awakening in the young fire girl, phoenix wings blasting away the blanket that covered her as rainbow flames engulfed the two. Tears flowed, hot and heated upon the young man healing his wounds as she screamed out in frustration and grief.
  36.
  37. The young man who should have died, drew new breath as he coughed catching the girls attention as she looked at him surprised and held him close, a phoenix feather lay grayed out on his chest as he awoke in her embrace, brought back from the dead. "Heh... Look at you... Firecracker... Full of surprises..." He said reaching up to wipe her tears. "A phoenix... Never thought I'd get to see one..." He said with a warm but soft smile as the young woman smiled widely ecstatic he'd been revived.
