  25. History:
  26.
  27. Amelia Avington has a loving upbringing, though it was rather sheltered in the way she was brought up. But what she did not know didn’t harm her in that moment. She idealised her younger brother as soon as he was born, and did everything she could as a child to help her parents care for him.
  28.
  29. The war broke out in 1914. The awful, terrible war. Her brother instantly enrolled due to being to young, for he just lied about his age and continued on. Her father was not enrolled due to being a doctor, so he could stay at home. She pleaded for her brother to stay but he was adamant he had to go. And so he did.
  30.
  31. About a year or so later after her brother leaving for his new post, Amelia got tired waiting for her brother to write letters, and instead decided to actively help in the war effort. She left her studies to instead go join a nursing post, helping the wounded soldiers. Though due to living a previously sheltered childhood, the horrific wounds of war and gas terrified the young nurse. The shock of such injuries damaged her mentally, and she went home damaged.
  32.
  33. Home is where she found comfort. More specifically, in the fairy tales and books she used to read to her brother. Reading them over and over calmed her mind, and filled her with memories of better times. And so this would be her constant way of assuring herself.
  34.
  35. This continued on through her two years of working. But in the last year of the war, the letters stopped completely for two months. And once the final letter came to say he was killed during action. This sent Amelia over the edge, and she isolated herself once again. And, once again, she returned to the loving fairy tales to remind her of better times.
  36.
  37. Reciting the fairy tales seemed to have woken something within her. Like something above decided to give her a gift. Reading these things over and over seemed to ignite something - a hidden magic. It awakened within her. The determination for something better sparked something within her. The desire of a happy ending.
  38.
  39. Abilities:
  40.
  41. The ones Of Alice.
  42.
  43. EAT ME, DRINK ME: The ability to shrink and grow in size, much like Alice in Wonderland. Though much like Alice in Wonderland, she has to eat and drink to get herself to the size she needs to be.
  44.
  45. CHESHIRE’S GRIN: With a smile, vanish from sight bit by bit like the Cheshire Cat famously does so, only to rematerialise in another place, smile first.
  46.
  47. OFF WITH HEADS: Become the Queen of Heart’s executioner, with an axe adorned with various red hearts and roses. Very sharp but also very heavy.
  48.
  49. Of Beauty:
  50.
  51. THE BEAST’S VOW: Calling for the loyalty of the beast to come to her aid, a hulking creature covered in fur and pointed teeth comes to her aid. It seems to be intelligent, and act as a great friend.
  52.
  53. TURNING RING: Like the ring Beauty used to return home, turning the ring thrice on her wedded finger will return her, and anyone she desires to come with her, to the library.
  54.
  55. ENCHANTING MIRROR: The Mirror which allows one to peer into other buildings, much like a witch scrying would do so.
  56.
  57. Of Rapunzel:
  58.
  59. FLOWING HAIR: Like that of Rapunzel, her hair will grow longer and longer and can be used for multiple purposes, like trapping others or being used as rope.
  60.
  61. THE TOWER: Summoning a large tower of which looms above and strikes fear of previous entrapment, it bursts from the ground below.
  62.
  63. THORNS UPON THORNS: Sharp thorns which can blind another are summoned from the ground, sharp like nature’s knives.
