(1:56:16 AM) Reise: The conversation with Linny over, Reise heads out of the room with Mayu in tow, aiming for where the girl and her mother live on the ship. If nothing else, she can drop Mayu off there, and continue her search.
(1:58:12 AM) Ikiryo: Mayu flutters behind her, grinning widely and waving to people as they pass.
(2:02:24 AM) ***Reise rolls her eyes, though she can't help but smile a bit at the girl's antics. Before too much longer, they reach a vaguely familiar door--inasmuch as one door can be distinguished from any other on an ostensibly military vessel. She presses the door chime.
(2:06:06 AM) Ikiryo: There is no responce but Mayu pulls out a keycard and presses it to the door, which slides open. "Mum got me my own keycard!"
(2:07:35 AM) Reise: "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, with the trouble I'm sure you and Bindy and Jaela get into." She gestures for Mayu to head inside.
(2:09:11 AM) Ikiryo: She heads in. "Would you like me to make you tea? I'm good at that...and we don't get in much trouble at all! Less than Lily Purple!"
(2:10:04 AM) Reise: "...I suppose it wouldn't hurt. And it'd probably be easier to catch your mom by staying in one place." She lets the comment about Lily Purple pass.
(2:13:27 AM) Ikiryo: "Yay!" She flutters over to a small kitchen. These rooms are bigger than the ones on Q-33's ship, closer to a small apartment.
(2:16:35 AM) Reise: Probably easier to manage that when you have more space to work with overall, she muses. "Also, somehow, I'm not sure I believe you about not getting in trouble~"
(2:17:11 AM) Ikiryo1: "We don't! We are responcimable!" She mangles the word, Reise is pretty sure deliberately.
(2:22:13 AM) Reise: "I'm sure you've already explored every nook and cranny of this ship. Even the ones you're not supposed to have seen~"
(2:23:02 AM) Ikiryo1: "That's being prepared!" She smiles "AND I whapped Lily Purple when she was trying to showboat!"
(2:23:39 AM) ***Reise chuckles. "Makes me wonder why she's still on their team..."
(2:25:10 AM) Ikiryo1: "She's really good! She's just also got an ego bigger than her boobs!" Mayu grins. "So when she wanted to 'Teach' us kids how to spar with practice swords I whacked her!"
(2:26:12 AM) Reise: "Given where your mom came from, I bet you already know some pretty good swordsmanship."
(2:27:37 AM) Ikiryo1: "Nope! But I can throw it good!"
(2:28:23 AM) ***Reise nods slowly. "Fair enough."
(11:21:34 PM) Ikiryo: "I got it stuck in her big hoop earing!" She giggles
(11:23:31 PM) ***Reise winces. She knows exactly what dryad ears look like--not that dissimilar from her own--and the thought of that kind of weight speared through an earring... "Owww. I mean, that's good aim, but that earring couldn't have stayed put for much longer."
(11:25:10 PM) Ikiryo: "She jumped about a lot." She grins.
(11:26:04 PM) Reise: "Yeah. Probably hurt like the dickens. So what else do you and your friends do, aside from sneak around the ship and get Lily Purple in trouble?"
(11:27:11 PM) Ikiryo: "That last one takes a LOT of time! We also draw faces on Jaela whenever she just stares into space making odd predictions."
(11:27:34 PM) Reise: "...Wait, back up."
(11:27:46 PM) Reise: "She makes predictions?"
(11:28:06 PM) Ikiryo: "Yep! Not often but sometimes!"
(11:29:02 PM) Reise: She arches one blonde eyebrow. "Like what? I mean, I can *totally* believe you and Bindy draw on her, I'm sure she deserves it. But what weird stuff does she say?"
(11:30:15 PM) Ikiryo: "Stuff like where the Quawwi will be next."
(11:32:13 PM) Reise: "Ah. /That's/ handy." She nods. "Pretty crazy, though, that someone your age can do that, right?"
(11:32:51 PM) Ikiryo: "She can also set things on fire with magic!"
(11:33:47 PM) ***Reise chuckles. "Well, you know Q's friend, Adelinda? The girl with blue hair? She can *zap* you with electricity she makes all by herself~"
(11:34:39 PM) ***Reise reaches out to poke Mayu in the ribs, timed with the word 'zap.'
(11:34:40 PM) Ikiryo: "Wow! I can do fun things too!" She nods.
(11:34:55 PM) Ikiryo: She jumps when poked, giggling
(11:34:57 PM) Reise: "Oh yeah? What sorts of fun things? Besides throw swords through earrings.
(11:35:39 PM) Ikiryo: She grins...and there is a small explosion by Reise's foot. Very loud in a small room.
(11:35:54 PM) Ikiryo: Reise didn't see her drop the firecracker.
(11:37:06 PM) ***Reise jumps a little in turn, and grins at the eleven-year-old. "Alright, that's pretty good. I don't have neat tricks like that, I'm just a boring old grown-up."
(11:38:20 PM) Ikiryo: She giggles. "You make mummy smile! I like that trick!"
(11:38:54 PM) Reise: She smiles again in turn. "I'd like to see it happen too."
(11:39:55 PM) Ikiryo: She heads over and gives Reise a tight hug.
(11:41:10 PM) ***Reise is surprised briefly, but returns the hug, careful to avoid squashing the small girl's wings.
(11:42:18 PM) Ikiryo: Reise hears someone approaching the door. "Ooh, that's mummy and she sounds like she heard I left the ship. I'll go find Jaela!" She quickly makes her escape...
(11:44:47 PM) Reise: "I--hey!" she tries, vaguely reaching after Mayu.
(11:46:09 PM) Ikiryo: She makes her way to...an air vent, slipping into it despite her wings
(11:46:35 PM) Reise: "Such a rascal," she says fondly to herself, shaking her head with a half-smile.
(11:48:06 PM) Ikiryo: The doors open, revealing a familiar brown-haired tengu. Her long brown hair is held up in a bun by two long pins and she's dressed in a professional uniform. Or at least, professional by dryad standards. Most don't involve miniskirts or tailoring that good.
(11:48:32 PM) ***Reise looks back over at the door, and feels a more natural smile blossom. "Hey," she waves.
(11:48:53 PM) Ikiryo: She pauses...and smiles brilliantly. "Reise?"
(11:49:25 PM) Reise: "In the flesh~" she says, standing up. "How've you been, Moriko?"
(11:49:39 PM) Ikiryo: "...busy." She frowns slightly
(11:50:28 PM) Reise: "Want to talk about it?" She moves a little closer, brazenly slipping an arm around Moriko's waist.
(11:51:44 PM) Ikiryo: She doesn't resist. "...we recently lost people."
(11:53:12 PM) Reise: "I know." She hugs her with that arm. "I came looking for you after we all saw the footage on the bridge with Lily White. Khaira's with her...it'll be good for both of them, I think. White was...not taking it well."
(11:53:56 PM) Ikiryo: She nods, a hand trembling. "I noticed."
(11:58:17 PM) ***Reise grabs the shaking hand with her free one. "I'm sure you know that nobody here could have known. It sucks, believe me, I hate it and I'm not even part of your guys' outfit, but...well, it's Khaira's job to fix her girlfriend, not mine to do it through you. I'm sure that one of us'll wind up needing to blow up that shitty boy-band for some other reason, too."
(11:59:12 PM) Ikiryo: She nods silently, staring at the floor.
(11:59:50 PM) Reise: "C'mere." She tugs gently, leading Moriko away from the door, checking her quarters for a sofa or other larger piece of furniture.
(12:01:34 AM) Ikiryo: She has a long, rather low couch with space behind it to prevent wings getting cramped.
(12:02:41 AM) Reise: She ushers Moriko over to it and has her sit down...then steps over the couch behind her and starts kneading the muscles in her neck and shoulders. In spite of her thin fingers, there's a lot of strength behind them.
(12:03:35 AM) Ikiryo: She shifts. It's a little suprising but makes a lot of sense after a moment's thought...she's got a lot of strength and muscle in her otherwise thin shoulders.
(12:08:35 AM) Reise: "How's this?" she asks after a minute. "Helping relax at all?"
(12:09:17 AM) Ikiryo: She relaxes sightly, nodding. Up close, the needles are interesting. One of them is a deep green, the other a bright silver.
(12:18:24 AM) Reise: "What are your hairpins made of?" she asks, as much from curiosity as from reaching for some topic of conversation.
(12:18:46 AM) Ikiryo: "My..." She seems a bit shocked by the question.
(12:19:16 AM) Reise: "These?" she asks, pausing long enough to touch one with a finger before going back to the amateur massage.
(12:19:41 AM) Ikiryo: She bites her lip. "...one is silver, the other is Jade." Jade is one of the Magical Materials. Associated with purity.
(12:23:30 AM) Reise: She smiles while she works. "My goodness. Someone likes to be prepared. I don't remember you wearing these when we first met...didn't need them?"

(12:25:41 AM) Reise: "Ah," she says, in the awkward tone of one who suddenly discovered she'd broached an uncomfortable subject. "Well, good that you got them back, yeah?"

(12:27:32 AM) Reise: "Hey." She pats her shoulders briefly before going back to work. "No judgment here. Your dedication to her is amazing, and I can only hope that, if I were in your shoes, I'd have been able to make those kinds of decisions."

(12:29:38 AM) Reise: "So do you, now." She pauses in the massage...and leans up against Moriko's back, draping her arms over the woman's shoulders so that her mouth is close to her ear. "...And I'm kind of hoping to add to 'all you have,' too."
(12:30:12 AM) Ikiryo: The pale woman very rapidly blushes heavily, opening and closing her mouth silently.
(12:31:15 AM) Reise: She grins and gives her a kiss on the cheek before slowly sliding back to resume the massage, deciding to give her a break. "So how much did you guys look up about this trash heap of a planet before coming here?"
(12:32:07 AM) Ikiryo: "I...well...I..." She stammers. "I did my research..but a lot isn't lining up correctly."
(12:32:48 AM) Reise: "Oh yeah? Why don't you tell me what the problems are, and I can see if I can shed some light, having been on the ground for the last month."
(12:33:48 AM) Ikiryo: "The tech level is significantly higher than it should be. This is registered as a class 2 planet, barely medieval."
(12:36:13 AM) Reise: "Demon invasion," she supplies. "According to Annandra, there'd been basically an ongoing war for approximately for-fucking-ever, and then when she got tossed into the Warp and caused a bunch of shenanigans, the demons got in one final push and won. Why they set up infrastructure and stuff, well, that's anyone's guess...
(12:36:13 AM) Reise: "Though it probably has to do with the fact that their leader is actually an angel in disguise."
(12:37:20 AM) Ikiryo: She nods. "That makes almost no sense..."
(12:38:16 AM) Reise: "You're telling me," she grumps.
(12:38:44 AM) Reise: "Anyway, far as we can tell, the tech level is all centered around one point. Anything outside their precious wall is still backwards feudal fiefdom stuff."
(12:39:44 AM) Ikiryo: She nods. "Right. It would be hard to raise the tech level that quickly outside of it."
(12:40:33 AM) Reise: "Yeah. Not to mention, you've got the Resistance types, and they resent tech progress as much as they do the demons winning. Barbarians and stuff. You've met Linny?"
(12:40:48 AM) Reise: "Short, hot, likely to tear out your throat if you call her on it?"
(12:41:04 AM) Ikiryo: She pauses. "...to an extent. I'm not sure I'd use that second term to describe her."
(12:42:01 AM) Reise: "Purely physical level," she brushes it off. "Courtesy of an extended stay in the Department of Excess--which, by the way, are fucking creepy. An entire sector of government run by demons of Slaanesh."
(12:43:40 AM) Ikiryo: She blanches.
(12:44:47 AM) Reise: "Yep, it's that bad. War, run by Khorne because let's be obvious. Excess, which is actually I guess sort of a combination of law enforcement and propaganda machine. Disease, I...think?...which is all Nurgle and gross. And I don't even know what Tzeentch's department name is but I'm sure that's all according to their plans."
(12:45:57 AM) Ikiryo: "...I think I will avoid all of them. I'd hate to see what would happen there..." That's a very easy mental image with excess.
(12:47:05 AM) Reise: Now it's Reise's turn to blush. "...Iiiiiiii think that's a real good idea. I've managed to do the same so far. Hate to spoil my track record."
(12:47:29 AM) Ikiryo: She raises an eyebrow at Reise's blush.
(12:48:22 AM) Reise: "Moving on!" she says, obviously flustered. "What else?"

(12:51:36 AM) Reise: "Wrong, per se, no, but I'm trying very hard not to imagine you after Excess got their hands on you and it's kind of really hard because of seeing it happen to so many other people." She's looking anywhere but at Moriko now.

(12:53:14 AM) Reise: Wordlessly, she takes a moment to open an AR window with a couple of Excess' own propaganda pieces, like that poor blonde paladin woman who'd come out a huge-breasted brainless bimbo.

(1:50:07 AM) Reise: She sighs as she lets Moriko go, wearing half a smirk even as she brushes a thumb along one of her cheeks.. "Well, go on, go be all responsible."

(1:51:51 AM) Reise: "Don't be. We each have jobs to do. Maybe some day soon we can take a simultaneous vacation and only have to worry about Mayu interrupting us."

(1:54:25 AM) Reise: "Me too." She gives her a little spank. "Now go on, before I change my mind and make you tardy~"

(1:59:07 AM) Reise: She waits for Moriko to enter a turbolift before mumbling to herself. "Honestly surprised Jaela didn't turn up instead."

(2:01:02 AM) Reise: "Right on cue~" she says with a little smirk, turning to see the other criminal mastermind. "I take it Mayu found you and brought up everything?"

(2:02:16 AM) Reise: "You three really do have run of the ship, don't you."
(2:03:15 AM) Ikiryo1: She shrugs, smiling at Reise.
(2:07:20 AM) ***Reise laces her fingers together and puts her hands behind her head. "So what does the great quori detector make of this situation with White's understudies?"
(2:08:29 AM) Ikiryo1: "Hmm...unexpected." She nods. "It did not follow the expected pattern."
(2:09:09 AM) Reise: "First time seeing a Cryx ship show up too, right? Especially one apparently toting an Abyssal boy band?"
(2:10:31 AM) Ikiryo1: "Not the first, no. But this one was unexpected." She shakes her head.
(2:12:11 AM) Reise: "Huh," she grunts. "They showed up separately before, then?"
(2:14:06 AM) Ikiryo1: "I have seen them in visions. They are hidden from fate but not all sight."
(2:15:32 AM) Reise: She nods slowly. "They have Khaira's body. See anything related to that, out of curiosity?"
(2:16:25 AM) Ikiryo1: "They do not have it." She shakes her head. "The Quori have it. Cryx wants it desperately."
(2:17:20 AM) Reise: "That's who I meant. Why, though? What about it is so damned amazing?"
(2:18:25 AM) Ikiryo1: "It is a direct connection to a goddess, a guardian between death and life. While she lives, the dead cannot live again."
(2:21:01 AM) Reise: She nods slowly. "So just by existing, she's a check on Cryx...and that means the quori have them as their bitches." She seems to feel no compunctions about the foul language around the eleven-year-old. "Which is why the crazy bitch tried to get Q to give herself up. Trade Q to the Puppetmaster and give him his precious vessel...

(2:23:03 AM) Ikiryo1: "Language. I am eleven years old and that is a rather suggestable and easily influenced age."
(2:24:37 AM) Reise: She rolls her eyes. "Uh huh. You're also a better linguist than three-quarters of adults that I know."
(2:25:20 AM) Ikiryo1: "None-the-less. I am doing my best not to be unduely affected by either poor language or Purple...in general. Just Purple."
(2:25:39 AM) Reise: "Yeah...I heard aaallllll about her from Mayu."
(2:26:12 AM) Ikiryo1: "She is a very bad influence on growing young ladies."
(2:27:40 AM) Reise: "I can imagine she takes pride in being a very bad influence on *grown* ladies," she quips. "Anyway, sure, I'll watch my tongue."
(2:28:59 AM) Ikiryo1: "She does...and thank you. I would not like to grow up either crude or...Purple. It would be rather a disapointment."
(2:31:43 AM) Reise: She lets that one go with a shrug. "Anything else to be aware of?"
(2:33:11 AM) Ikiryo1: "Hmm...not currently." She shakes her head. "Well, beyond your chances of actually being left alone with Mayu's mum are...low." She smirks.
(2:34:00 AM) Reise: "Somehow," she says dryly, "even *I* could see that one coming."
(2:34:40 AM) Ikiryo1: "It seemed best to inform you. I was not sure how well eyes as wandering as yours would notice it." She smiles and starts to head for the door.
(2:36:06 AM) Reise: "Everybody's a critic," she gripes, then raises her voice to call after the departing child. "Tell Mayu that if she keeps running away from her mom, it'll be me she gets the punishment from."
(2:36:26 AM) Ikiryo1: "I only state the truth."
(2:42:58 AM) Reise: "Yeah, well, I'm a little past the sell-by date for 'saving myself,' thank you very much. Anyway, now I know she's interested, things'll change."
(2:44:02 AM) Ikiryo1: "You may believe as you wish. Now, if you do not mind...cookies will be being taken out of the oven in three minutes, I wish to be there for them."
