  1. I've been posting patches of green on my own board /nothingness/ on fullchan.
  2. This is my Void Girl collection. These stories take place in an urban area of The Void, where Anon is buddy buddy with Death herself, she runs a little diner called Mors' Doors and rolls her eyes about the relationship problems Anon runs into.
  3. https://8kun.top/nothingness/res/548.html since the board is glacier speeds, here's the thread that's still up, still getting patches of green to this day.
  4.
  5. Even though this entire series started with Mist-chan (the board-tan) originally, I want to start with how Anon met Death.
  6. Heads up, there are gonna be some PoV switches from 1st to 2nd person in this series. Mind you, I've just been having fun writing these stories. Some of them flowed better in my head if they were 1st person.

  9. >Step inside a diner to take a breather.
  10. >You had a long day just walking around in the tangible parts of The Void.
  11. >Find a booth and take a seat, grabbing a menu that was sitting in the middle of the table.
  12. >Had to resist pinching your chin from wondering what the hell is a 'Bloody Savage Muffer'.
  13. >See a pale white chick with jet black hair and a black tank top and black jeans walk over to the table.
  14. >"Hey, what can I get ya?"
  15. >Immediately get a smile on your face from recognizing her.
  16. "D-Death?"
  17. >She tilts her head, beaming as she chuckles.
  18. >"Haha oh shit Anon, what's up? How you been?"
  19. "I've been… you work here?"
  20. >"Only when I'm bored, can I get you some midnight shade tea? Helps bring you some comfort from being in this obsidian womb."
  21. "Obsidian womb?"
  22. >"It's spiritual jargon for The Void. Anyway, it'll help you calm your nerves."
  23. "Shit, sounds good."
  24. >"Coming right up, love."
  25. >What made this interaction so bizarre was the fact that about a week ago, she was 'Carrier' to this place.
  26.
  27. -A week earlier-
  28.
  29. >You slam your car door then take a moment to look at the building you just finished working a 12-hour shift in.
  30. >You were ready to go home, and enjoy your day off tomorrow.
  31. >But first, you had one place in mind: a bar that was just up the street.
  32. >After cranking up your car, you didn't bother turning on the radio.
  33. >After today, you needed a little bit of quietness.
  34. >You stepped into the bar, hardly surprised that the place was dead.
  35. >It was just you, the old bartender, and a couple of tv screens broadcasting either distractions or fear mongering.
  36. >"Hey Anon, what'll it be?"
  37. "Any kind of bourbon, neat. And by all means, double it."
  38. >He lets out a two-note 'ha'.
  39. >"Rough day at the stress factory you call a job?"
  40. "What do you think my dude?"
  41. >"Heh, coming right up."
  42. >There was a nudge at your left side.
  43. >You'd panic, but you're too numb from the day.
  44. >To you left you were surprised to find a young woman in a leather black jacket, black hair and black lipstick nursing a cup of tea.
  45. "Oh, hello. I don't believe we've met."
  46. >"Not officially, but you know of me."
  47. >The bartender places a glass before you, containing your order.
  48. >You knock back half of it.
  49. "What's your name, pretty lady?"
  50. >"Death."
  51. >You let out a half-hearted chuckle as she presented her hand for a handshake.
  52. >But you play along, and give her the handshake she's looking for.
  53. "And what brings you here tonight, Death? Can I call you Dee?"
  54. >"You and no."
  55. "Flattering, but really. Why are you here?"
  56. >"I'm here for you, Anon."
  57. >You fell silent for a moment.
  58. "And how do you know my name?"
  59. >"It's on your name badge."
  60. "Oh."
  61.
  62.
  63. >"Anyway Anon, I'm here tonight because you called me."
  64. "Very funny, I don't believe I have your number."
  65. >"People tend to be unaware of how they call me. I couldn't help but notice you're not a fan of your everyday life."
  66. "Something like that."
  67. >"I have a one-time offer that I'd like to give to those begging to not exist in this world."
  68. >"Ah, society, only making brainless drones. Encourages you to be the cog in the machine, get in debt and to listen to what's on television that they call 'programming'. A world of people spending their precious time stuck in traffic. Airwaves full of messages that are made to psychologically manipulate you into mindless consumption. Everywhere you look there's some form indoctrination and you're an outcast for trying to think freely. Numb from mundane interactions from these consumers with an entitled mentality. You didn't ask to be born into this. If I didn't know any better, I'd say this is Hell."
  69. >You turn to the lady at your left, a smirk on your face from her saying the very words in your head.
  70. "What's your offer?"
  71. >"Anon, how'd you like to come with me to The Void?"
  72. "Pardon?"
  73. >"It's a place where there will be none of this bullshit, you'll be at peace. Simple as that. I'm here to take your pain away."
  74. "Know what? I'm in."
  75. >"Right on. How about a toast?"
  76. "Hell yeah."
  77. >You both raised your glasses.
  78. >"To Nothingness."
  79. >Clink.
  80. >Drink.
  81. >Spent a few minutes hanging out until Death wanted to go out for a smoke and you talked a bit more.
  82. >Once she stumped the butt of her cigarette into the ground, a portal opened.
  83. >And you both walked through.
  84.

  86. This is where our story begins.
