- The disguised Ookami draws his short sword, the rasp of cold steel on wood sending a shiver of anticipation down his spine. Grasping the hilt of the blade, Lyle holds it before him in a defensive fashion, ready to intercept an oncoming attack if necessary. On top of that, he also focuses his mana surrepticiously to fuel his body and give him a greater burst of speed. He wasn't sure how strong this Jinsei kid was, but he wasn't going to underestimate the lad by holding back.
- Waiting for the first move, Lyle watches the other fighter carefully, attempting to focus all of his senses on him as to predict where he'd strike.
- (Lyle Wulfric)
- Looking at Lyle, young Jinsei soon drew out his blade which was blunt , his being about to be covered in the breeze of wind , he spoke softly before making that same wind deminish "Oh great wind..Always supported old Jin y' did so don't let today be the end." he began to take flight gently off the ground, he hummed softly. assuming a sword stance he developed himself, known to be the Tempest Dragon stance, a stance based off swift movement and attacks.
- Holding his blade as high to his chest and the point directed to his target so that he'd pury certain strikes and counter. He was not trying to mock anyone by using the wind to his advantage, he simply thought the wind was free as his spirit was.
- "Hope y' ready now here I go." Soon the spar began with an intial attack of course.
- (Jinsei Silverwing)
- Kais: Ready?
- Lyle Wulfric: As ever.
- Kais: GO!
- Jinsei Silverwing: Get over here mate! *uses gravity pull*
- Kais: Jinser wins!
- Lyle gasps as he is rather quickly defeated. He was not very acquainted with eating dirt, as he found that he was stronger than most of the fighters he'd encountered to date. But Jinsei had quite honestly demolished him, and only taken a quarter of the damage he had. That was, suffice to say, a humbling experience for the Ookami. Gritting his teeth as he rises to his feet, Lyle frowns as he beholds the nine year old that'd bested him. Where did these overpowered kids keep coming from? How were they able to contend with someone who'd spent the last ten years of his life fending for himself in the forest? Sure, he'd only discovered magic recently, but that couldn't be why he kept losing...
- Could it?
- (Lyle Wulfric)
- "Just do my best, and forget the rest." Murmured Kais to hmself. He knew that he would lose, but if he beat Jisei up quite a bit, he would be happy. He drew his sword out and got his wind magic ready. It wasn't going to be easy, most likely the hardest battle for Kais yet. He couldn't beat Lyle so he could only win this with a lucky shot.
- He was nervous, but excited aswell.
- (Kais)
- It wasn't too much of the magic usage from Jinsei's end, but rather his sword skills. Young Jinsei went to help the ookami up but saw he was already standing, so he smiled and delivered a polite bow "Thank you for the spar, It was fun y'know. Hehe." he chuckled lightly , his sword stance proved to be too much for the challengee.
- He was now ready for the enxt challenge, he didn't know anything of this ones abilities but he knew that he'd have to get near enough to prevent any succession of attacks to come his way. Even if it would be a quick match, the young child could give tips that would help them in the future, after all, he didn't leave Frostvale unprepared.
- (Jinsei Silverwing)
- Jinsei Silverwing: Hope ya are as quick on y' toes..
- Jinsei Silverwing: <Annnnnnd he's outta there!>
- Kais had lost as expected. And he couldn't even do a scratch on Jinsei. "How can I help him if I am this weak..?" He thought to himself. Kais got up on his legs.
- "Wow, you are powerful. Unlike me....." He said with a slight frown. He didn't like losing, especially when he said he will help his opponent in things. He couldn't even take down a quarter of Jinsei's energy. Kais really needed to train more and more.
- (Kais)
- Ty had left the orphanage completely energized! He had turned thirteen just about a week ago, and his present was his new wooden staff! Ty didn't think he would get such a present due to the amount of money it would charge the orphange, but there seemed to be a surplus in cash around the area, and they were able to afford it. Ty needed to go and test out his new staff, since usually he only practices his magic through his very hands. He was dragging the large wooden staff around town, looking for a good area to train a bit.
- He went to the training grounds, but a few Glacium were there, and sorta bullied him out. He then tried going to the school area, but even more glacium had redirected him elsewhere. Ty figured his only place for some decent training was going to be the prairie's. Thus, he took his journey there, moving through the open path in the forest, and soon arriving at the pond.
- "Ah, perfect!" Ty said with a wide and eager smile on his face. He was pumped to start some training, but his eye caught something else. People were fighting? First there was a fight between two swordsmen, the younger darker boy had won. Then the dark boy began to fight against a blonde haired magi kid who also got his butt beat, even with the amount of magic he knew.
- "Woah."Ty said as he moved a bit closer, now leaning on a rock as he sorta stalked the group from a pretty noticeable distance. He was drooling on the ground, wondering if more fights were going to happen.
- (Ty)
- Jinsei went to go and help Kais up if needed. His Wisp believed that was a home run finish. But the young Wingless Leader told ais ."I told y', we will all get stronger together, evvery little thing helps.." he says offering a hand shake .
- "If y' ever need training partners..Come on up to Frostvale after a few months , and we can push ourselves to our limits hehe. But for now, you will be entitled a Wingless, and will be expected to be a tinnnyyyyy bit stronger or a lot once we meet up again. I need you all, those of the Wingless." he says now having his attention turn on over towards Ty.
- "Hello kind stranger! Wanna be apart of something huge?!" he said trying to get them in. Was like a pirate looking for mates!
- (Jinsei Silverwing)
- Staying in Tilandre for so long, he knew it would be best to invest in his time during his stay, and so he'd begin his own personal training since his teacher was not around, once his journey was complete he'd head on home to Frostvale on a quicker route, taking one of the boats that Tilandre has to offer. But for now, he'd make his way to Antergia
- He took a boat to where he was going, but before that boat could prepare to sail within the next few days, he'd train ON a boat at the docks where one kind sailor would allow this on one of his many ships. Jinsei was on the poop deck, otherwise known as the front surface . He took out his training sword, trying to focus on his stance, he Tempest Dragon Stance, or rather the Soaring Eagle, he didn't quite have a name for it yet, but he knew he'd like to make it a combination of energy and wind , or perhaps just one out of the two.
- He knew he was going to be spending quite some time doing this, and this was just day one of the training of his stance, so he took the first step to this, placing his foot on the right setting of distance, where he'd be crouched down just only alittle bit due to his bended knees, his sword hilt up near his chin and blades tip pointing at his imaginary target, this stance is based off quick movement and defence from a foe. To be both powerful in speed and quick enough to defend yourself against attacks while increasing the will of yourself to sustain such energy to be used.
- Jinsei swings the blade vertically in succession to swing it down and then across, this being one of the finisher energy slashes that would bring out the inner power within such a blade, he would repeat this, the sword being on his hip, the steps would be swift. To draw and deliver a vertical downwards slash, then come up with a slash across ,aiming for their mid section, then finally the third swing would be to swing vertically at the opposite direction of where the first cut landed.
- This training continued on for about thirty minutes or so before he'd rest for a while to start all over again. Perhaps this stance should be known as the Stance of Hanzo or Aeolus , something to relate to the tactics of wind, something he'd be advancing from of course. He kept this up , but everyone had a limit. Once this limit was reached, he'd stop, he saw no point in going on when it was just to develop his sword abilities.
- (Jinsei Silverwing)
- Day 4)
- And now back to the right foot, this was to be day two of Jinsei's Aeolus sword stance training, he knew it would be difficult to forge his own stance, he took it upon himself to excuse the time it'll take, no matter what was going to happend, he was going to develop and master this sword stance, and not only will he master it, but pass it down to all other people who will have the same fighting style as himself to be quick on his toes and not just some power house. Gripping the hilt of the training sword he went into detail of sword handling and guidence.
- When using a sword, the way he may stand, move and hold his weapon is vital in determining how much control he will have, how fast you can move and how soon you will tire. It's normal that you should stand with feet shoulder width apart, leading foot slightly forward, i.e. almost square on to his target. In which case his target was a clay man dummy, something he'd practice on this day aside to swinging in the air, which would grant no true success if he continued to swing at what he believed was there really was not.
- He was holding the sword is not like holding a practice stick in training - the aim is not to keep a vice-like grip on the sword hilt. . Grip is principally with the thumb and first two , but there is no way to approximate this with re-enactment hilt length. Standing as described above, hold your sword slightly out in a shoulder parry or 'on guard' position. The wrist should be relaxed and in line with his forearm. Adjust the angle of Jinsei's arm and joints until he felt the weight of the weapon being taken by his shoulder and possibly tricep.
- This was him taking much advice from the locals and the information he was trained to use, Jinsei knew that just swinging a sword would not help but rather following traditonal steps is what will get him to where he needed to be and how skilled he needed to get to become the best known or unknown leader amongs the Valmasians. As he continued to train on this day with the blade style known as Aeolus, he felt some progress being made with the delay of his movement, he had to be swift enough to prevent his foe from casting a magic spell, he knew that it was his weakness, magic and pure magic utilizers.
- As he trained to perfect this stance, he came to find out that it was time to head towards Antegreia, maybe after this he could finally return home. These past few months of traveling has been quite adventurous for the lad, visiting Byson, Tilandre and Antegria all together while developing his training with the stance he intended to create or rather develop from an old stance he already had.
- (Jinsei Silverwing)
- This young youth of Frostvale had only been back home for a few days or so and already was he prepared to begin his own little swordsmen training with the stance he desired to master and create, taking a single step while in the open to align his feet with his shoulder then turning sideways to hold the sword and it's sheat only to showly draw out the wooden sword to deliver a slow downward vertical slash .
- He did it slow to better remember the motion of this stance, to draw from the sheath with swift attacks and counter once an opponent attcks, giving up some form of defence or magic for speed and countering abilities, he would have named this stance later on as the Aeolus stance, a name which would be most related to the arts of wind. However Jinsei had aimed to make this stance useful for both Wind and Energy fighters, since he'd be using this stance quiet often, he knew it'd be much better to work on it and improve it.
- There weren't many swords around which can fit Jinsei's liking, he wanted to fight with both speed and power, hardly enough most swords had a longer rate of attacking with rapid blows, and were too bulky and heavy for the boy, aside the assassins blade but that was too light and fragile, then there was the mighty Lightning strength, he always gazed at this weapon. Someday to buy it and wield it himself.
- (Jinsei Silverwing)
- Day 4
- With this work out going on and Jinsei's focus at the blade and movements being kept steady and not quick, he moved his sword as he drew it from the sheath at a slow pace because he didn't want to have to turn around and end up WACKING a civilian of Frostvale upside their head with the chunk of wood which was his training sword.
- He kept his knees bent and his elbows above and near his rib cage, the hilt of the sword near his chest and the point of the blade directed at the tree which was his imaginary target, this was another form of the stance, opposed to the draw cut form, this form was to be used when the blade was already out of the sheath and used to engage in longer rounds of combat.
- Now back to the right foot, he rotates his hips to gain power in this form, but that was not the only thing he had going for him, still there was his speed, and he couldn't just go with a single attack each time, nope with this stance he'd have to map out his route of attacks each time he gained time ad ground to do so, it would not work well with a blade that held back his movement for fifteen seconds or more, that would certainly cripple his movements .
- He kept using lighter blade, ones which would not hold him back, ones he knew he could cut loose with, facing the tree, he swings the blade without hitting it directly, acting as if there were limbs upon the tree to aim for to cripple and slow down a target so that they'd have trouble running away from Jinsei. He was all about quickness and power, but with what it is worth, he leaned more over to speed rather than bulky weapons for his own reasons.
- Jinsei believed in working hard for what he desired and not taking the easy way out. He was going to show the world his might and change the future of Valmasia or atlease influence change a tad bit as a guild leader of a secret group who shall act as the eyes of Valmasia, a group no one shall ever suspect or now of, he had plans but as a kid those plans were unclear, luckily he had guidence from those in Frostvale, which got him to training to perfect a certain stance like he is today.
- "Aeolus Blade Stance..." he says to himself.
