  40. + personality | to everyone around her, mirae is what others would describe as a sunshine and happy girl. wherever she goes she always has a bright smile on her face, one that can cure anyone's sadness and is always making sure the people around her are happy as well. she hates seeing others sad and is always there to lift up the mood whenever she senses it's a bit down. her go to way to do that is to wear a smile on her face — which is contagious — while cracking some lame jokes. she always looks at the bright side in situations and tries to make sure that others can too.

  42. no matter what bad things happen she'll always say "it's okay." and will keep her head held up high. if someone were to spill something on her, accidentally trip her or push her away she'll always say "it's okay." she just never seems to get mad and can always be seen
  43. laughing, joking around, being energetic and bubbly. an optimistic and go lucky girl. sad thing is that her smile would often be fake as she wouldn't want people to know what she really goes through then have them worry about her. she needs to be happy. for the sake of her younger brother and self. after all, there needs to be at least one happy person in her family right?

  45. mirae also has a caring side which can be easily seen to anyone. though she can sometimes be oblivious to their emotions, when she does realize what they're going through she's always the first to run towards them with a helping hand. she'll spend hours just hearing them rant and not talk at all until they're done. she'll also spend her time trying to cheer them up the best she can. if that means buying them something that's far away or doing something stupid that'll make them laugh then she'll do it without thinking twice.

  47. she tends to take care of people without even noticing it and that just shows how genuine it is. she's also very loyal and would never think twice about leaving them for someone else — well at least those who love her back as well — no matter what happens. she'll stick with them for as long as she can as she knows "forever" isn't certain and would always help them which cues in her caring side. even if they were to hurt her and treat her bad as long as she knows that they still love her as much as she does then she'll never betray them.

  49. last but not least mirae is very naive. she'll believe anything anyone tells her or anything she reads without questioning whether it's right or wrong. she has a very innocent mind too as she has not experienced life fully. due to naivety people often take advantage of her and she'll be too kind to even say anything about it.

  51. + background | growing up, mirae's life could be seen perfect from the outside. her family was well off financially, they'd often helped the community, everyone seemed to like them and all, but inside was a different story. no one could really understand her family until they saw what happens inside. her father and mother were both alcoholics who would often have outbursts of anger which resulted in them beating her and her younger brother, minhyun, very badly. her mother was a heavy weed user as well and her father was off having affairs behind her mother's back. her younger brother was also cutting from the unhappiness which made mirae want to protect him even more, so, she'd often protect her younger brother from getting hit and would take the blame for something he did whenever she could. all of this made mirae stressed and unhappy as all she's does is put on a fake smile for everyone. she's tired of pretending she's fine when she's not. maybe that's why she decided to take the pill after heading down to a pharmacy to pick up some bandages and what not for the cuts and bruised her father and mother gave her.

  113. + regrets? | my only regret would be leaving my brother behind with those psycho parents of ours. for the first time i didn't even think about my brothers happiness. i was selfish and only thought about mines so i didn't even think about how i would be leaving him with them as i took the pill. i didn't think about the pain he'd have to suffer and how i couldn't protect him no more.

  144. some reason she felt free and followed him
  145. where ever he went on the first day. main
  146. reason being was because he helped her after
  147. seeing her with cuts and bruises on her body
  148. while alone in the middle of the streets
  149. looking lost and confused as she had never
  150. been in this side of "town" before and didn't
  151. know why she was out here or why she had
  152. these wounds on her body. namjoon was kind
  153. when he helped her as he took her to a
  154. convenience store to pick up some first aid
  155. he could find before sitting her on a bench
  156. while patching her up. he asked her many
  157. questions like where she came from, why was
  158. she out here so late, what happened to her
  159. and what not. mirae answered him the best she
  160. could but she honestly didn't know what
  161. happened to her at all or barely remembered
  162. simple things. after he helped her she didn't
  163. want to be alone as it was dark and she had
  164. gotten used to talking to him so she walked
  165. with him...followed him. at first he felt a
  166. bit creeped out that she kept following him
  167. after doing her a favor but he didn't feel
  168. awkward talking to her as she mostly did all
  169. the talking. however, when she told him that
  170. she didn't know how to get back home or where
  171. she even was or how she got here he said she
  172. can stay with him for a while in his motel
  173. room until she gains her memory back. then
  174. she would leave. you shouldn't trust a
  175. stranger you just met on the first day but
  176. mirae was naive and had a feeling this man
  177. would do no harm. the first few weeks they
  178. were together was the beginning of their
  179. friendship and so far they were doing well
  180. and got comfortable with each other. namjoon
  181. would smile and laugh often at her antics and
  182. mirae was still her happy, talkative self but
  183. felt more comfortable around namjoon than he
  184. did with her which was why she would go
  185. everywhere he went, would bother him
  186. playfully as she would want to play with him
  187. and would hit him when laughing which would
  188. result into a funny, angry, namjoon. mirae
  189. would just giggle. these actions were just a
  190. sign that mirae liked namjoon — as a friend
  191. of course.

  194. became a lot closer and namjoon had finally
  195. gotten used to her lively and bubbly persona
  196. and loved how she always saw the bright
  197. things in everything. he was a lot more
  198. comfortable than he was at first and didn't
  199. get fazed no more by what she did but would
  200. always find it funny. she was an over all fun
  201. person to be with so namjoon enjoyed being
  202. around her. she would take the term "my house
  203. is your house." or "my motel room is your
  204. motel room." literally, if you know what i
  205. mean. as he got more comfortable he would
  206. tease her about her height and liked to get
  207. her mad purposely as he found her reactions
  208. funny and cute whenever her aegyo would come
  209. out. he would also lie about certain things
  210. like a ghost being in the room that would
  211. come out at 12 am to haunt them because of
  212. how naive she was. but when he thought he'd
  213. gone too far he'd apologize for making her
  214. scared and would ruffle her hair. while he
  215. was letting her with him in his motel room
  216. he noticed how much of a baby she was even
  217. though she was 20 so he felt a sense of need
  218. to protect and take care of her which is what
  219. he did. mirae would naturally do so as well
  220. and take care of him. he would scold her when
  221. her shoes were untie then continue to tie
  222. them for her, would make sure she had what
  223. she needed, would cut her food for her (which
  224. she found annoying but he couldn't trust her
  225. with a knife), clean her hands and all that
  226. shazam. at times mirae would find it annoying
  227. because she wasn't a child but having someone
  228. take care of her for the first time like that
  229. made her heart warm up and beat a little
  230. faster than usual. so whenever namjoon would
  231. take care of her she'd look up at him
  232. with a lot of love and admiration before
  233. giggling and looking away when he'd caught
  234. her staring. he'd then shy-fully smile before
  235. acting like nothing happen. she felt a void
  236. being filled up every time he would do
  237. something for her and she couldn't understand
  238. why that void was just being filled. or why
  239. she even felt one. at times, she'd have short
  240. memories come back to her about her
  241. background as a result to all those questions
  242. she'd have about the void. one day when she
  243. was alone something triggered her memory and
  244. she felt all her stress and unhappiness come
  245. back. she was scared and confused but it all
  246. got better after he came home. she hugged him
  247. as soon as he walked in which took namjoon by
  248. surprise but he still hugged her back. he
  249. asked why the sudden affection and she
  250. replied that she was just really happy. she
  251. didn't want to tell namjoon that she just
  252. gotten her memory back because she knew that
  253. if she did she'd have to leave. and she
  254. didn't want to. the memories scared her and
  255. she didn't want to go back to all that. all
  256. of these little interactions made them fall
  257. for each other without realizing but namjoon
  258. knew about his feelings for her a little
  259. faster than she.

  262. friend relationship which is what mirae
  263. always wanted to have with someone. they
  264. would talk about anything with each other,
  265. teased each other all the time, had inside
  266. jokes, natural skinship and what not but she
  267. didn't want to be just friends. she knew her
  268. feelings for him were much more. mirae didn't
  269. know why but something told her that telling
  270. namjoon everything was the right thing. that
  271. he was the right person to tell. she thought
  272. he deserved to know everything after
  273. suffering because of her in the motel room
  274. with him. at least that's how she secretly
  275. felt because she knew it must've been hard
  276. taking care of her especially when she had no
  277. memory of anything. she had finally decided
  278. to open up to namjoon fully about her
  279. background and what she did which resulted in
  280. her crying and needing his comfort which he
  281. knew. he'd immediately hugged her, rocking
  282. her back and forth as if she were a child and
  283. whispered words of comfort as he stroked her
  284. hair. namjoon always knew that mirae was too
  285. perfect and bubbly for a regular person. he
  286. was expecting a downfall but he didn't expect
  287. it to be this. while being with namjoon in
  288. that moment mirae realized that she felt
  289. safest and happiest when she was with him.
  290. she felt the love that she always wanted from
  291. him and felt her void go away so she couldn't
  292. help it when she kissed him. namjoon
  293. remembered telling her that she had to leave
  294. after she regained her memories but hearing
  295. everything she went through, he didn't want
  296. her to leave and just wanted her to be with
  297. him which is what she could hopefully do.

  351. she believes in aliens which she says yes to.
  352. then he starts explaining why he believes in
  353. them and the conversation just gets so deep
  354. because of namjoon and leaves her shooked
  355. namjoon winning an argument by using math
  356. mirae secretly drawing namjoon when they're
  357. watching a movie because she's bored then
  358. proudly shows namjoon while using aegyo
  359. because she's lowkey embarrassed
  360. heard namjoon rapping one day and she
  361. immediately told him how amazing he was but
  362. she wanted to tease him by saying that she's a
  363. better rapper than him which results into a
  364. cringey rap battle
  365. (during the middle of their relationship where
  366. they both have some hidden feelings for each
  367. other) mirae was feeling bad that namjoon is
  368. always sleeping on the warn out couch in their
  369. room so she softly speaks up while in bed and
  370. tells him to sleep in bed with her. he
  371. couldn't believe she that she said that and
  372. could feel his heart beating faster than usual
  373. but he says that it's okay and he's already
  374. gotten used to the couch. however, he ends up
  375. listening when she sat up and said "namjoon,
  376. please don't sleep on the couch."
  377. one day when they're sleeping in bed, namjoon
  378. wakes up to get some water and when he gets
  379. back in bed he notices her shirt rode up her
  380. back and some scars that looked from cuts were
  381. on her back. he was confused and reminded
  382. himself to ask her about it when they wake up
  383. before pulling her shirt down for her
  384.
