  1. -- FOREWORD -- Some improvisation might be needed for some of the achievements such as Project Ego or There Is No Spoon but here's some tips for specific or otherwise "detour" achievements.

  3. - As Quiet As A Whisper - The least painful way to handle this achievement is to frankly just have a perfect fight with Whisper in the Guild during the "no holds barred duel" without getting hit as later points in the game don't always award the achievement, even if you beat her without getting hit. Welcome to speedrunning Fable Anniversary with the achievements; it's annoying sometimes. The game does not include the blocking tutorial as part of the fight for this achievement if for any reason you might accidentally get hit there.

  5. - Hero, Their Health Is Low - requires the follow icon be present above your escort's head for it to count. Ideally, the most logical time to get this achievement would be during Lost Trader as you'll be Force Pushing and Healing him anyway, but the game can sometimes fail to let him properly follow you and deny you the achievement so the safest way to get it, in my opinion, would be at the very start of Trader Escort as it doesn't require you to restore any health with it, but merely for an escort to be affected by it.

  7. - I Did This For A Cheevo - This is going to feel very out of the way no matter when you plan to get it, but I chose to route it in just before Prophets of the Fire Heart purely because you're not likely to need a ranged weapon again after beating Jack 1 so having Arken's Crossbow equipped for the rest of the run at that point is not an issue. You also at this point will have Chin Beard thanks to prison so you won't need to worry about having a beard. If you didn't get the Redhead Wig in Darkwood Bordello while you were upstairs, you can purchase one from the Tailor's shop in Snowspire, immediately next to the Cullis Gate, or maybe load warp using a save from Desolate Abbey if you (still) have one and employ a nice lady's services once again to get access to upstairs.

  9. - Out Of The Frying Pan... - Yeah, I'm classifying this as a detour because it's most logical to get the true Frying Pan during Focus Sites, equipping it upon looting it and then hitting an enemy with it there makes the most sense to me, and because its damage output is really not so good, you'll want to re-equip a better weapon for Jack 1. Detour.

  11. - Feed The Troll - Is pretty easy to forget about so it's frankly best to get it out of the way as soon as humanly possible. Using the Berserk activation to hit the rock back is by far the easiest way to earn this achievement.

  13. - The Summoner's Tail - I have this routed in just before reaching Greatwood Gorge as the spawns in Greatwood Lake have consistently yielded the 1500+ health Bandits on Heroic mode for me. Since Enflame deals 300 damage to Bandits, and the boss of this group has 1600 health, using 6 Enflames x 300 = 1800 damage in total, you can "kill" the boss Bandit, but let your Wasp get the actual killing blow on it.

  15. - The Swinging Sword - The best way I've found to get a good flourish is to combo it off of a regular attack, and in a fairly tight space. I have it routed in after beating Twinblade for consistency's sake for this reason, though you could get in someplace like Witchwood Cullis Gate when spawning the Assassin, though you're not guaranteed to have Bandits there and could get Rock Trolls instead.

  17. - The Ultimate Warrior - This just requires getting a tattoo, and the tattooist in Knothole Glade is the most reliable source. Doing Beardy Baldy on top of having the tattoo already should grant you this achievement.

  19. - For Every Choice, An Achievement - This one used to baffle me, but I now think the alignment modifiers on clothing and tattoos can make this achievement harder/easier to earn, so getting the Gryphonite Tattoo from the tattooist in Knothole Glade is a good option as it has no alignment modifier. Removing clothing entirely after opening the Abandoned Road demon door might be the go to strategy for making this achievement easy to earn as sparing Theresa grants a huge chunk of good alignment, and freeing all the Prophets of the Fire Heart gives the final needed boost.

  21. - Choosing My Religion - Just make sure you donate at least 100,000 gold to Temple of Avo. EZ

  23. - That's A Real Lunker! - Could require you to just do the No Protection boast if you don't fish a 50g or heavier fish for Fishing Competition. Since the run only requires getting the Silver Key from Fishing Competition, and that only requires a 30g fish, you'll want to keep this in mind.

  25. - Project Ego - Honestly? There is no one ideal place to get this achievement. Thankfully, it does have some synergy with how I've routed The Summoner's Tail because this guarantees having a Bandit summon, and Bandits can count as witnesses to your trophy. This means that you can summon in an empty area, summon, and show off your trophy to every SINGLE person in the area super easily.

  27. - The Hero Of Time - In my opinion, the best time for this would be to eat a Moonfish after completing Beardy Baldy and Book Collection as you (ideally) won't be visiting shops anymore in the run. Note that the achievement *will only be granted if the time food item is eaten in Bowerstone South*.

  93. Do Fist Fighters 1 in Bowerstone Quay - Due to hit box jank, I highly advise utilizing the "shuffle" punch strategy as can be seen in my runs as opposed to spam punching the fighters.

  119. Spellcaster Hobbes have 300 Health and die to one Enflame. The melee Hobbes have 600 Health, and die to a Berserked attack with Aeons.

  121. -- GREATWOOD LAKE & GREATWOOD GORGE --
  122. There will always be a group of elite Bandits on the other side of the bridge beyond the Focus Site. The boss of this group has 1,600 Health and counts for The Summoner's Tail. You can use 6 Enflames (making sure the last one hits when he is standing back up) to bring his health to 0, and let your Summon get the killing blow for a relatively easy transfer. They hit for a lot of damage though so be careful here.

If you're Berserked when you get up to the toll Bandit, go ahead and trigger the dialogue to cancel Berserk, unequip any Health augmented weapons and literally die here, then reload the last checkpoint. After that's done, kill the boss across the bridge to complete the Bandit Toll Bronze Quest.

  126. Kill the Earth Troll here for a chunk of Combat Multiplier, and you can also use Multi Strike against your Summon for extra to get 14 CM for the Demon Door. Loot the chest for Cutlass Bluetane.

  129. Use Heal Life on a trader immediately for a free achievement.
  130. Kill the infected trader from afar, or let him follow you. Up to you.

  133. A-Accept the door's challenge ~ ♡ - Just kill the Hobbes. Not that hard. Loot the chest for the Dark Will User Robes.

  139. Make a save, move quickly to Ancient Culls Gate as normal.

  145. Since there's always an Earth Troll here, why not feed it by hitting one of its rocks back at it? The initiating hitbox of Berserk is the easiest way to accomplish this.

  147. -- BARROW FIELDS AND OLD KINGDOM SPRING --
  148. Eat lots of Fish and get fat for "Definitely Not On Rails" and open the Barrow Fields Demon Door for Willmaster's Elixir
  149. Finish Trader Escort Quest, take Blue Mushroom off the table, pay fine if you want to.

  151. -- OAKVALE --
  152. Buy the trader's book.
  153. Go right up hill into the house next to marital home, first bookshelf upstairs has Trials of Aarkan
  154. Sleep in the house across from there, leave before the fade finishes, and go to the tavern
  155. Beat Coin Golf in 11 Strokes or less for Whisper Doll, then talk to Maze
  156. The Fist Fighters should be or have spawned by this point. Go to the Eastern beach afterwards.
  157. In the house across from the Memorial Garden, steal Oakvale Raid from the bookshelf.
  158. Talk to the Ghost, agree to help, and go straight to Memorial Garden to dig up the Obsidian Greataxe and Silver Key to complete the quest. (9/30)
  159. Play Chicken Kicking for 150 points for Silver Key (10/30)
  160. Warp to Guild
  161.  
  162. -- GUILD --
  163. Take all quests, go to Guild Woods.
  164. Kill the dude for the Blue Mushroom, and fish up Silver Key (11/30)
  165. Go to the Demon Door and fish up the last Blue Mushroom on your way there. Use your Lamp, and I recommend turning it off to avoid having bandits instantly see you and shout "INTRUDERS, SHUT THE GATE!"
  166. Warp to Oakvale after looting the chest in Library Arcanum
  167.  
  168. -- ABANDONED ROAD --
  169. Open the chests with the Bandit armour for the Demon Door in this area later on
  170. Summon clip the gate.
  171. Buy All Crunchy Chicks and books from right-most trader, and the Assassin armour from the left-most trader.
  172. Equip Assassin Armour and then fart.
  173. Buy the pass from the Bandit for 1,000 gold, then win Spot the Addition in 25 seconds or less for Twinblade Doll. You can use Slow Time and/or even a camera for this pub game if you need. It's absolutely allowed.
  174. After the Pub Game, dig up the Silver Key (12/30), then sleep in one of the beds before going to the next area to allow the Fist Fighters to spawn after Twinblade.
  175. Summon clip into Twinblade's Tent.
  176.  
  177. -- TWINBLADE'S TENT --
  178. After beating Twinblade, aggro the ring of Bandits and lure them down the narrow path, and combo a flourish after a regular swing to hit 3 enemies at once for the Swinging Sword achievement.
  179. Do Fist Fighter's 3 normally. Melee bandits have master weapons and can break the event by killing the fighters, and the hybrid bandits have a bad melee AI.
  180. Warp to Guild, Force Push Maze from downstairs, grab the Jack of Blades book from the left bookshelf
  181.  
  182. -- WITCHWOOD CULLIS GATE & WITCHWOOD STONES & TEMPLE OF AVO --
  183. Break the barrel for the Guild of Zeroes book, and pick up the Ages of Will potion next to it
  184. Summon clip into the Demon Door, and make a save before leaving Witchwood Cavern
  185. Fish up Silver Key from pond across from Demon Door (13/30)
  186. Donate at least 100,000 gold to Temple of Avo for Sentinus, and the "Choosing My Religion" achievement. You can cheese this by confirming the donation, dismissing the dialogue, and interacting with the altar again and donating 0 gold before the game takes the money from the first donation, and still get Sentinus.

  188. -- WITCHWOOD LAKE --
  189. Dig up the Silver Key under the gargoyle statue on your left not far from the entrance (14/30)
  190. Fish up Willmaster's Elixir from the lake
  191. Shoot the Knothole Glade Demon Door with a good charge arrow for an Elixir of Life, warp to Guild
  192. Take quests, warp back to Knothole Glade
  193.  
  194. -- KNOTHOLE GLADE --
  195. Use Multi Arrow or Berserk + Multi Strike to kill the first 4 Balverines
  196. Dig up the Silver Key in the second White Balverine jump location (15/30)
  197. Augment your Master Longbow with the Silver Augmentation
  198. Use your final Multi Arrow charge to kill White Balverine in Witchwood Lake
  199. Beat Card Sorting in 25 seconds or less for the Scarlet Robe doll
  200. Go to the house at the top of the hill and get the Balverine Slayer book from the cabinet, then warp to Guild
  201. Take The Arena, upgrade Force Push MAX, and Physical Shield MAX
  202. Buy Gryphonite Tattoo on your return (or any tattoo with no alignment modifier, really)
  203.  
  204. -- ARENA --
  205. Buy Bright Plate Armour and Silver Augmentation from the trader, augment your bow, and assign your Red Meat, Fish, and Summon to your hotbar. (Also prepare for wrist pain.) You'll want as high a Combat Multiplier as you can get, so spam Force Push.
  206. Use the downtime in between Troll rounds and Arachanox resurfacing to spam those buttons for Strength and Will EXP
  207. You'll also want to use your Ages of Will potion at 20+ CM for the "Combat, Evolved" achievement.
  208. Also do not take a break between rounds for the love of Avo!
  209. Warp to Barrow Fields, do Trader Massacre. Go to Grey House after.
  210.  
  211. -- GREY HOUSE --
  212. Go into Grey House after talking to Theresa, use Enflame to kill the Undead (the game prevents warps until the event is done), and open the Silver Key Chest upstairs. (2/12)
  213. Warp to Guild
  214.  
  215. -- GUILD --
  216. Get all quests here.
  217. Max out your Strength stats, Guile, the normal speedrun necessities, and VMM any alignment spells now.
  218.  
  219. -- OAKVALE & KNOTHOLE GLADE --
  220. Go behind the house where the cheater was and talk to the middle guard, then warp to Knothole Glade.
  221. You can complete the quest by summon clipping and killing the 3 non-leader bandits, or talking to the Guard and doing the quest normally (is slower).
  222. Recall to Oakvale when done, and go to Abandoned Road.
  223.  
  224. -- LOST TRADER --
  225. Go all the way to the end of the road where the trader is, Force Push + Heal Life him to his brother. You'll not get him through there any faster than that.
  226. Warp to Twinblade's Camp when done.
  227.  
  228. -- TRADER RESCUE --
  229. This quest generally isn't too bad, but it can be scary. You want to kill the Bandit-leaders guarding each hostage, then just talk to the hostages, and they should automatically follow you. Get them in the order of Twinblade's Camp trader stalls, Twinblade's Elite Camp cage, and by the tents near the pond. Keep Heal Life on the ready just in case the Bandits slip by you and start attacking the traders.
  230. Depending on enemy aggro, you can either kill all the enemies in Twinblade's Camp when returning, or take a chance at them leaving the traders alone and following only you up the hill and out of the gate.
  231. Stand further away from the gate so the traders actually run the whole way.
  232. Summon clip back into Twinblade's Tent when done.
  233.  
  234. -- MURDER WITH A TWIST --
  235. Pull out your bow, hard target the Assassin, dismiss his dialogue, and right click both times when prompted to, then kill him and warp to Oakvale and talk to the Guard behind the house again.
  236. Warp to Witchwood Cullis Gate
  237.  
  238. -- WITCHWOOD PT. 2 --
  239. Go behind Witchwood Cullis Gate's Focus Site until the Assassin spawns, kill him, then go to Witchwood Stones, and summon clip into Witchwood Cavern again.
  240. MAKE SURE YOU PICK UP "A LOVE STORY" OFF THE FLOOR NEAR THE BOOKSHELF and open the Silver Key Chest for a Health Augmentation (3/12)
  241. Depending on the time of day, it's probably worth eating your Golden Carrot here so you can sleep in Witchwood Cavern to set up for Fist Fighters.
  242. If Berserked, talk to one of the Guards to cancel it, and have one follow you.
  243. Ignore the "Please come and help my wife" guy and go straight to Temple of Avo. Using Slow Time here is a good safety buffer.
  244. MAKE SURE YOU TALK TO ONE OF THE DUDES AT THE SWORD BEFORE PULLING IT AS TALKING TO ONE OF THEM STARTS THE BRONZE QUEST "The Sword in the Stone".
  245. After talking to one of the dudes, hard target and Enflame to kill them, then pull the sword. If you accidentally hit your guard friend, he'll no longer be your friend and will try to kill you.
  246. Do manual movement to Knothole Glade, as the guard will not warp with you anywhere.
  247. Kill the Assassin that spawns on your way into town.
  248. If Fist Fighters have spawned already, go to the ring, wait for your Guard to get there, then have him WAIT.
  249. If Fist Fighters haven't spawned yet, do the same thing and try to meet the Chief as he walks to the ring.
  250. Fight the normal fighters normally until the Chief is up. Save your Flourish for him so you can knock him down and have your Guard friend follow you again and win the fight for you.
  251. After Fist Fighters are done, kill the Archery Contest owner and loot his bag for the Silver Arrow Trophy and the treasure clue.
  252. Warp to Bowerstone South
  253.  
  254. -- BOWERSTONE
  255. Buy Pudding Basin from the Barber, then go to Bowerstone Quay to do the Beardy Baldy quest and talk to the witch to give her your 4 Blue Mushrooms and get the potion from her. Use recall strats and get the style cards Beardy Baldy asks for.
  256. Turn in the 25 books to Mr. Gout at the school.
  257. Hand potion to the sick child's mum, eat a Moonfish for the "Hero of Time" achievement, and go to Bowerstone North
  258. Talk to Gethyn in the cell on your way to Rescue the Archaeologist
  259.  
  260. -- WINDMILL HILL --
  261. Dig up the Silver Key in the poppy circle near the scarecrow close to the non-windmill building (16/30)
  262. Kill the Dreadwing (Minion Summoner) to dispel the barrier, and walk up the stairs until the Assassin spawns, then kill him
  263. Dig up the Silver Key in the poppy circle behind the windmill (17/30), open the chest for a treasure clue, and get Golden Carrot from outside barrel
  264. Everything else is normal
  265. Make a save in Headsman's Hill on the way to Lychfield Graveyard
  266.  
  267. -- THE GRAVEYARD PATH --
  268. This quest is normal, plus a Silver Key in the water before digging up Nostro's Sword (17/30), Silver Key in the crypt near Nostro's Sword (18/30), Silver Key in the first deeper grave coming out of the same crypt (19/30), and a Silver Key Chest in Circle of Dead (4/12)
  269. Make a save in Old Graveyard Path, and in Circle of the Dead
  270. Use Enflame + Force Push to cancel the knockdown of the 3 Undead Lieutenants, then Enflame 2 more times to kill them.

  272. -- PRISON --
  273. Get Silver Key on the left path in Cliffside Path (19/30), and the rest is the same as normal
  274. Warp to Guild after skipping Kraken
  275.  
  276. -- BOUNTY HUNT --
  277. Take EXECUTION TREE (do NOT take Rescue), Darkwood Disturbance, and Bounty Hunt (boast to teleport outside)
  278. Fisher Creek leader should basically auto aggro because Heroic
  279. Snipe Greatwood Lake leader with a regular arrow (Multi Arrow could accidentally kill the 2nd hostage and fail the quest)
  280.  
  281. -- GHOST GRANNY NECKLACE --
  282. Go to Orchard Farm, talk to farmer, agree to help, go behind house for Granny cutscene, warp to Guild, step back on Cullis Gate to set up recall to Orchard Farm
  283. You can snipe the bandit on the hill in Greatwood Lake, but Lightning is the easiest way to kill him without worrying about the stone wall blocking your line of sight
  284. Recall to Orchard Farm, give necklace to farmer
  285.  
  286. -- HOBBE CAVE --
  287. Warp to Greatwood Cullis Gate, go to Greatwood Gorge
  288. Talk to Demon Door (might not be necessary), eat at least 11 Crunchy Chicks - Wellow's Pickhammer
  289. Warp to Greatwood Cullis Gate again, then go to Rose Cottage
  290. Give non-gem/ring gift to Demon Door - Bright Will User Robes
  291. Dig up Silver key in poppy circle (23/30)
  292. Turncoat a Hobbe in Cave Larder, use Enflame-to-zero-HP strat to allow your Turncoat Hobbe to get a killing blow

  313. Eat a Golden Carrot as it will likely not be day time, then go open the Guild Silver Key Chest for The Murren Greathammer (7/12)
  314. Warp to Twinblade's Camp, sleep in nearby bed and talk to the mercenary to hire as the day time shifts.
  315. Go wear clothes for Abandoned Road Demon Door - Dollmaster's Mace
  316. - Bright Plate Armour
  317. - Dark Will User Robes
  318. - Bandit Armour (equip something good or neutral after the door opens)
  319. Warp to Barrow Fields, talk to Rhodri near Demon Door, go to Grey House, flash lamp, go to Cellar
  320. Open chest for Willmaster's Elixir, grab note off floor, AND ----LEFT CLICK TO AGREE TO MARRY----
  321. Warp to Barrow Fields, go to Ancient Cullis Gate, and go more than halfway to camp, warp to Bowerstone South
  322. Go to Bowerstone Jail and kill the prisoner to complete Execution Tree
  323. Recall to Ancient Cullis Gate, go to Darkwood Chapel of Skorm and make sure your mercenary is at full health
  324. Talk to the acolyte ~4 seconds after the coin drop closest to midnight, and get Skorm's Bow if all is done right

  328. Take Bandit Spy Extraction and warp to Bowerstone South. In Bowerstone, you'll speak to Tanya (has white hair, found near the fountain)
  329. Load the checkpoint before you actually start the quest as this will get the Thunder cutscene out of the way a tad faster than leaving and coming back to Bowerstone Jail after this quest.
  330. The bandit spy is the mustached trader you'll find at the windmill. He has pretty low health, and doesn't like to follow you when he's aggroed to something. Killing all nearby guards and traders, as well as letting him fully speak his voiceline after talking to him should cause him to follow you. Once you see the following icon above his head, just keep him alive, use Slow Time, and beeline it for Bowerstone North. The game can apparently softlock if he's not properly following you so make sure the icon is there before entering Bowerstone North.

  333. Warp to Lychfield Graveyard after and go to Headsman's Hill. This gives a convenient recall back to Bowerstone North.

  335. Open the Demon Door and go through, then you'll be able to recall to BSN
  336. Marry Lady Grey, bind Flirt to your hotbar, pray she and someone you can flirt with are close to each other, and flirt with them to get the Marital Relations achievement before getting the Silver Key (26/30) and Silver Key chest for Katana Hiryu (9/12)
  337. Warp to Barrow Fields and go to Grey House to fish up the Silver Key (27/30) and open the Demon Door for Ronok the Axe

  364. Dig up Silver Key at grave near building (30/30) and open the last Silver Key chest for the Avenger (12/12)
  365. Recall to Necropolis and open the final Demon Door for The Bereaver
  366. Warp to Snowspire, beat Coin Golf in 10 strokes or less for Scythe Doll, speak to Scythe, then warp to Bowerstone South
  367. If you did Coin Golf reasonably fast, Mr. Gout should be found in the tavern. If not, go to whichever house his green dot is in. If you need to get into a locked house, break the door down as Lockpicking will crash the game if Mr. Gout triggers his dialogue with you.
