- >Day Labor in Equestria.
- >As Rarity's screams fill the halls, all you can do is fidget and whimper.
- >Why now?
- >Why here?
- >You two had everything planned, everything set, back in PONYVILLE!
- >Apparently that wasn't a part of your child's plan, since you are now sitting in Manehattan's waiting room, twelve hours into labor.
- >It was going to be so much easier.
- >Your friend's and family were going to be with you, help you not speculate and go off the deep end.
- >Now... you're alone, listening to your wife scream and wail in pain.
- >Why did you two think going to Manehattan now was a good idea?!
- >Jesus, how could you be so fucking dense?!
- >YOU knew better, that Rarity was hormonal and going off on a whim.
- >You were supposed to be the level headed one!
- >”Mr. Anonymous? Congratulations sir, you're a daddy.”
- >Looking up, you see a nurse smiling at you while standing in a doorway.
- >You're... a daddy?
- >You're a daddy!
- >It came through, healthy, safe, nothing went wrong!
- >Standing, you rush for the door, stopping as the nurse holds a hoof out.
- “What's wrong? Can't I see my family?”
- >She looks away, letting off an *uhh*
- >”Well, you CAN, but you should be aware that your child is a bit... different.”
- >You know this.
- >No way would a Satyr be -normal- by pure human or pony standards.
- >You've seen your friends' children.
- “I don't care, let me see my family.”
- >She sighs, leading you towards the room your wife and newborn child are.
- >Stepping inside, you see Rarity panting, hair an utter mess and face paler than normal.
- >Walking to her side, you kiss her cheek, causing her to smile.
- >She speaks in an exhausted voice.
- >”Hello dear.”
- “Hey there beautiful.”
- >She nuzzles against you, looking weakly to the doctor.
- >”My... my baby, where is she?”
- >He sighs, looking to you both.
- >”Well, she is being cleaned, but there is something you two should know.”
- >Worried, you grip your wife's hoof.
- >”She is like every other Satyr; human top, pony bottom, but... there is something strange with her we have never seen before.”
- >Looking to your wife, you can see dread in her eyes.
- >”Your daughter's bottom half is completely hairless.”
- “... That's it?”
- >The doctor rolls his eyes.
- >”Sir, do you not realize the implications?”
- >Scowling, you shake your head.
- “Human babies are born completely hairless sometimes, it's not something to get worked up over, nothing to scare parents over!”
- >He looks to you, brows furrowed.
- >”Ponies are not born without fur normally!”
- >You glare at him, releasing your wife's hoof as you step forward.
- “She's not just a pony!”
- >The doctor backs off, still glaring.
- >”Fine, fair enough.”
- >Sighing, you relax.
- “I'm sorry, it's just been a hectic time and then to get worked up over something so... trivial.”
- >”It's fine. You humans are strange creatures after all.”
- >Rarity looks to the doctor, unamused.
- >”That is my husband's species you are referring to.”
- >The doctor looks up to her.
- >”Right... anyway, she'll be in the nursery soon. If you want to go see her Mr. Anonymous, feel free. I think it goes without saying we'll need to keep your wife here for a while longer.”
- >You nod. Looking to Rarity.
- “Will you be okay?”
- >She smiles.
- >”Yes, yes. Go, make sure our daughter knows she has a family waiting for her.”
- >Leaning in, you kiss her once more before mouthing out an -I love you-.
- >Walking towards the door, you find your way to the nursery.
- >Newborn foals and fillies are all laid down in rows, covered in blankets.
- >Looking around, you see a new baby be placed.
- >It's yours.
- >Your newborn daughter is set down in a basket, covered up, and left to rest.
- >Smiling, you lean inwards, not touching the glass.
- “Hey there little girl. I'm your daddy... you caused quite the bit of trouble today, you know that?”
- >Chuckling, you look to her, watching as she sneezes.
- “You have a mommy and daddy who love you so much already. She wants to see you, do you know that?”
- >You are speaking with a newborn baby...
- >If your friends could see you now.
- >Sighing, you watch as she opens her eyes.
- >They are like her mother's, a soft deep blue.
- >Smiling, you look to your daughter once more, shaking your head.
- “You're a daddy Anonymous... you're a daddy.”
- >Leaning against the glass, you briefly wonder what name seems fitting for your baby girl.
- >Day A Father's Pride in Equestria.
- >Grunting as you stretch, you eye the doorknob.
- >You know the moment you step in there that Saphy is going to run up to you and use you as her way of complaining about what her mother wants.
- >It would be so much easier if she would just tell Rarity the moment she disagrees.
- >Still, she's just a kid, she'll grow out of it.
- >... Hopefully.
- >Grabbing the doorknob, you twist and make your way inside.
- >She must be close by, you could hear a soft gasp.
- >”Daaaaaddy!”
- >She makes her way out of the kitchen, smiling as she runs up to you.
- >Dropping your suitcase softly on the floor, you reach out and lift the girl as she jumps into your arms.
- >Watching her pants and shirt sag a little, you are reminded that the girl is small for her age, even by Satyr standards.
- >The girl's height isn't the only irregularity, her thin coated legs are more reminiscent of socks than pony legs.
- >Her purple hair naturally styles itself the way her mother's does.
- >As she looks up to you, her soft blues eyes looking into your own with a sweet familiarity, you can't help but smile.
- >Pulling her close, she hugs you.
- >”Daddy! I missed you so so much!”
- >Chuckling, you let her rub her head into your beard.
- “Lots?”
- >”Lots of lots!”
- >Sighing happily, you see your wife make her way downstairs.
- >”Ah, sweetie, here you are! I hate to be a bother, but I really need your help right now.”
- >You can tell, she has a worried expression upon her face.
- “What's wrong dear?”
- >Setting your daughter down, she slowly lets go, frowning as her hooves reach the ground.
- >Rarity sighs, her magic grabbing a list and floating it towards you.
- >”I know you just got home and I wish I could handle this myself, but I am on a tight schedule and need someone to grab the materials on this list.”
- >Looking it over, you can see that the materials themselves are not hard to get, but the time it would take to get them all would be a bit tedious.
- >If your wife is as strapped for time as she says, she would waste far too much of it trying to get everything listed.
- “You can count on me.”
- >A smile of relief crosses her lips.
- >”Oh, thank you so much dear. I am so sorry to ask this of you.”
- “Don't be, I'm happy to help.”
- >Flashing your wife a smile, you pocket the list and head towards the kitchen.
- “Let me just grab an apple, haven't eaten all day.”
- >Your daughter runs after you, clinging to your leg.
- >”W-Wait! Daddy, can I come?”
- >Sighing, you pet her dead and tap her arms to signal for her to let go.
- “You sure? It'll be a lot of walking.”
- >She nods, clutching the pants of your legs again.
- >”Uh huh, if I stay, mommy's going to make me try on dresses again!”
- >Rarity sighs, having had this small disagreement with Saphy too many times to count.
- >”Sapphire Belle, how many times must I tell you, a dress is the only appropriate attire for a young lady such as yourself!”
- >Your daughter groans, shutting her eyes and clinging your pants harder.
- >"I hate dresses..."
- >It took you a good two weeks for you to convince Rarity to let Saphy wear shirts and pants instead of dresses and skirts.
- >Why she doesn't feel comfortable wearing dresses, you'll never know.
- >But she doesn't, so you won't force her.
- >Rarity still tries to get her to model them whenever she can however.
- >As you reminisce, the little Satyr looks up at you with her wide blue eyes, pleading.
- >”Pleaaaase?”
- >Sighing, you lean down and pick her back up.
- “Maybe. Rarity, would it bother you if Saphy came with?”
- >Your wife sighs, silent for a few moments.
- >”I... suppose not.”
- >As the little girl cheers, you can't help but feel for your wife.
- >She was so excited when you two found out you were going to have a girl.
- >A child of her own to play dress up with, and it is playing.
- >Someone she could teach all about fashion; like Saphy's aunt, who was so eager to learn when she was a filly.
- >Just the perfect little image of Rarity.
- >She made these fantasies so real to herself, when Saphy turned out to be a tomboyish daddy's girl, it shattered your wife's little fantasy.
- >Putting Saphy down, you grab your apple and head to see your wife.
- >She is looking over some designs for a customer, eyes scanning slowly, almost empty.
- >Leaning down, you kiss her on the cheek.
- “I love you.”
- >Your three little words bring the life back to her eyes as she turns to see you, a weak smile upon her lips.
- >”And I love you.”
- >Saphy squeezes between you two.
- >”And I love you too!”
- >She kisses both of you before trying to clamber on your back.
- >Helping the girl, Rarity's smile widens by the slightest bit.
- >”Yes, well, I guess you two will be off then. Be safe, for my sake?”
- >Nodding, you remove the hand holding the apple from your back, taking a bite from it as you piggy back your daughter out the door.
- >You make sure to duck, not wanting to hit your baby girl's head on the door sill.
- >... Again.
- “We'll be back soon!”
- >”Mhmm, bye mommy!”
- >You feel Saphy take one of her hands away from your neck, more than likely waving to her mother.
- >Using the back of your hand to get the door, you are out on the streets of Ponyville once more, on an errand for your loving wife.
- >Once you are out, Saphy sighs and cuddles your back.
- >”Why does mommy like dresses so much?”
- >Taking another bite from your apple, you make sure you are a bit away from home the boutique before giving your answer.
- “Well, it's her passion.”
- >”What's that mean?”
- “It means that it's her favorite thing to do.”
- >She lets off a confused hum.
- >”If it's her favorite thing to do, why does she want me to do it too? I don't like dresses.”
- >Sighing, you slow your pace.
- “She wants you to like dresses too because she loves you Saphy. She wants to share something with you.”
- >Your daughter whimpers, clinging to your back.
- >”But why do I gotta be the one to like mommy's thing? Why can't she like mine?”
- >Chuckling, you shake your head.
- “That's kinda hypocritical, asking her to do what you don't want.”
- >”Huh? What do you mean?”
- “Well, you don't want to learn about clothes, so why should mommy learn about your stuff?”
- >Saphy hums for a bit, thinking.
- >”Because my stuff is more fun to me?”
- >She's young, you won't get far with this right now.
- “True, but dresses are more fun for mommy. She's trying to meet you half way Saphy, give her a chance.”
- >”What's that mean? Doesn't mommy meet me all the way because we live together?”
- >Snorting, you smile a bit.
- “No, it means she's trying.”
- >”Nuh uh.”
- “She's letting you dress how you want, isn't she?”
- >Your daughter groans.
- >”No.”
- >Sighing again, you let her down.
- >She grudgingly lets go of your neck and hops down.
- “You're wearing pants right now, aren't you?”
- >Saphy looks down.
- >”Uh huh.”
- “If mommy wouldn't allow you to, you'd be wearing a dress you hate instead.”
- >Saphy frowns, eyebrows furrowing as she grabs her shirt and pulls it down.
- >”I still woulda worn pants anyway.”
- >Shaking your head, you let it go for now.
- >You don't know if Saphy gets her stubbornness from you or your wife.
- “Come on Saphy, let's get this done with A.S.A.P.”
- >Your daughter grabs your hand, walking with you as you quickly finish your apple before tossing it in the trash.
- >Pulling out the list, you get started on your quick little errand.
- >Turns out that quick little errand wasn't so quick.
- >It's been a couple hours now and you are just now getting back home.
- >Your daughter groans, hand tightly holding your own.
- >”Are we theeere yet?”
- >Looking to the girl, you shake your head, smiling a bit.
- “You can see it from here, why are you asking?”
- >She shrugs.
- >”I unno.”
- >This kid is too damn adorable sometimes.
- >Others, she's a bit of a headache.
- >You briefly wonder if all parents think of their kids like this when you feel the bag slip from your hands, hitting the floor with a soft *thmp*
- “Whoops.”
- >Regrabbing it, you are glad nothing inside it is fragile.
- >With your daughter in one hand, the bag in the other, you make for the front door.
- >Saphy pulls herself free as you near it, rushing ahead to open it.
- >She steps inside and you hear a squeal.
- >Running after your daughter, you are met with three mannequins wearing human clothes.
- >MALE human clothes.
- >They are short, Saphy sized.
- >Rarity is smiling, looking to you with exhaustion in her eyes.
- >”I was wondering when you two would get back.”
- >She takes the bag from you, floating it over to her work station.
- >As your daughter circles the mannequins, smiling at the three new outfits she obviously wants, you head towards your wife.
- “I thought you were incredibly busy.”
- >She nods.
- >”I am. I just happened to have a small period of time where I was not working on the order. I threw those three things together while I waited for you.”
- >Chuckling, you lean in and kiss your wife.
- “You're a good mother.”
- >She sighs, resting her head against you as she lets her eyes shut for a moment.
- >”I know.”
- >Day Unisex in Equestria.
- >Sipping at your water, you look down at today's paper.
- >Apparently there have been big debates on whether humans breeding with species besides ponies is moral or not.
- >If only they knew how hypocritical they sounded.
- >As you relax, you hear the clip clop of hooves walking down the stairs.
- >You can't tell if it's your wife or daughter.
- >Looking to the door, you see a human shape.
- >It's Saphy.
- >She walks up to you, pecking your cheek.
- >”Morning dad.”
- >Smiling, you lower your paper.
- >She is wearing a suit, one of her usual outfits.
- >It hides her developing figure well, forcing one to judge her without the help of appearance.
- >The most notable feature are her full length pants, if only because she is the only Satyr who has all of their outfits with them.
- >Even her pajamas.
- “Don't you ever get uncomfortable in that thing?”
- >She chuckles, pouring herself some milk before slapping some bread in the toaster.
- >”Didn't you used to wear a suit everyday when you first came to Equestria?”
- >Sighing, you shake your head.
- “That was the only thing I had on me when I was grabbed.”
- >Your teen daughter nods, turning her attention to the fridge as she bends over to check out its contents.
- >”Right, the first six humans in Equestria. Still, that's all you wore.”
- >Rolling your eyes, you turn your attention back to the paper.
- “Where's your mother?”
- >”Still asleep, she was up all night working on that gown.”
- >Smirking, you can't help but feel that those two have come a long way.
- >Saphy finally decided to meet Rarity her half of the way.
- >They now design clothes together.
- >Though most of it is male or unisex, their unique tastes combine to make magnificent outfits that sell faster than they can make them.
- >An exaggeration, but not by much.
- >Flipping through the paper, you hear Saphy hum happily.
- >”Say, dad?”
- >Looking over the paper, you glance at your daughter.
- “Yes?”
- >”What do guys like?”
- >Furrowing your brow in confusion, you are about to answer when she raises her hand.
- >“In bed, I mean.”
- >Blushing, your eyes shoot wide.
- “W-What?!”
- >She chuckles, bringing a hand to her lips.
- >”Relax. I'm thinking of designing a lingerie line, but I don't want mom running off the walls with her frilly soft cuddle fluff pieces. I know guys don't like to get busy with pillows, so I'm thinking of giving them what they want.”
- >Sighing, you place your hand on your forehead.
- “I don't think you should be worrying about what guys want. In fact, wouldn't you be more suited for making male night wear?”
- >She plays with her silverware, rolling it between her fingers.
- >”You act like I haven't.”
- >Shocked, you lower the paper.
- “What? When?!”
- >She smirks, pointing to you.
- >”Zebra print, ass grabbing, almost like a cross from boxers and briefs while still having the sexual intention of a banana hammock.”
- >You are about to ask what she is talking about when it hits you.
- >Groaning, you lower your head to the table.
- “Of course Rarity didn't design that. She masters in female forms, not male.”
- >Letting off a couple victory laughs, your daughter leans her head against her hand, smiling at you.
- >”So, will you help me?”
- >You raise your head, shaking it.
- >Her smile fades, looking quite serious.
- >”I could always just go and ask one of my guy friends instead. I'm sure that'll be fun.”
- >Groaning, you relent.
- “Fine, but I don't want to hear or see the end result.”
- >Heaven forbid Rarity decides to wear one of Saphy's creations and you KNOW your daughter was thinking of how best to arouse someone when she created it.
- “You aren't completely right about the fluff. Some guys do like a bit of fluff over the naughty bits, adds a hint of seduction as well as innocence.”
- >Your daughter smiles, grabbing a pencil and jotting down your suggestions.
- “Also, thin but not entirely see through. Darker colors are better, more alluring. Definitely draw attention to the curves, but don't entirely put them out there.”
- >She nods, letting off an *uh huh* every time you speak.
- “Remember, leave something for the imagination.”
- >As she gets that last thing, she looks up to you.
- >”... That's it?”
- >Nodding, you look away.
- “Yes.”
- >”But that's hardly anything! Pleaaaase? Please please please?”
- >Groaning, you raise your index finger.
- “Animal print.”
- >Lowering your finger, Saphy is about to speak.
- >You bring your index to touch your thumb, running them both over your lips.
- “Nn nn.”
- >She tries again.
- “Nn!”
- >Your daughter sighs, looking away as she crosses her arms.
- >She opens her lips.
- “Nnnnnn.”
- >Groaning, she rolls her eyes.
- >”I was just going to ask if you wanted more water!”
- “Oh... yes please.”
- >As your daughter stands, Rarity walks into the kitchen, hair a mess.
- >”Mmm, morning darling~”
- >She walks up to you, giving you an affectionate cuddle.
- “Morning sweetie. How did everything go last night?”
- >She yawns.
- >”Exhausting. We managed to finish the piece, but I felt as if I was going to be ill the entire time.”
- >Letting off a sympathetic hum, you kiss her cheek.
- “Well, at least it's done with, right?”
- >She nods, looking to her daughter.
- >”Sapphire, when did you change?”
- >The white coated Satyr flashes her mother a smile.
- >”About three minutes before I came down stairs. Oh, by the way, dad said he knew you didn't make your anniversary gift for him.”
- >Shocked, you look to Rarity as her eyes shoot wide.
- >”W-What?!”
- >Looking back to your daughter, you see her giggle.
- >And to think you went out of your comfort zone to help her.
- >Day From Mother to Daughter in Equestria.
- >Sighing, you lay back against your couch.
- >It's been a sad few days for you.
- >Rarity got called out to Manehattan for no less than a month.
- >Something about her being a big deal, her dresses being demanded, some mare named Coco recommending her.
- >You aren't entirely sure, you only heard the bits loud enough that came through the receiver on the phone.
- >Your wife didn't want to leave, you saw it in her eyes.
- >But with some insistence from you and Saphy, she caved.
- >You assured her that everything would be fine, that your daughter could handle the work load, and that you wouldn't forget about her.
- >With an opportunity like that presenting itself, how could you have even thought about being selfish enough to have asked her to stay?
- >It's been less than a week and your heart is crying out for her.
- >Guess that's how you know it's the real deal though.
- >It's been years since you two fell in love, and you still can't stand these long trips apart.
- >Sighing again, you look to the side.
- >After a few quiet moments, you hear hoofsteps walking from the opposite side.
- >You know who it is.
- >Saphy sits down next to you, cuddling up to your side.
- >”Heeey, why the long face?”
- >Looking to her, you see her giving you a reassuring smile.
- “You know why. I miss your mother.”
- >Letting off yet another sigh, you pet your daughter's head before laying back.
- >Saphy sits up, pouting.
- >”Come oooon, don't be a sad sack. Hey, turn that frown upside down!”
- >She pushes your stomach a bit, smiling as she sits up and starts to nudge you.
- >”Come on... come on come on come on. Hey, let's get some pizza.”
- >Chuckling, you feel a smile find its way to your lips.
- “Pizza?”
- >She nods.
- >”Mhmm! A little dirty food since mom isn't here to yell at us.”
- >One of Rarity's pet peeves.
- >Messy foods.
- >Thinking on it, you haven't had pizza in months.
- >Looking to your daughter, you nod.
- “Pizza sounds good.”
- >Chuckling, your slice in hand, you wait for Saphy to finish her story before trying to eat.
- >”Eheh, a-and then the guy's entire inseam ripped!”
- “Jeez!”
- >She lets off a loud guffaw.
- >”Thankfully he wasn't going commando, or else someone would have gotten more than they had paid for!”
- >Your daughter sighs, wiping a tear from her eye.
- >”Ahhh, one of the reasons I love doing this.”
- “The chance at seeing a guy's pocket rocket?”
- >She groans before laughing.
- >”No! It makes me smile... makes me happy.”
- >Saphy looks to you, a soft smile on her lips as her eyelids drop a bit.
- >You return it, nodding.
- “You know, you take after your mother in so many ways.”
- >Your comment causes her to blush.
- >”Heh, stop, you know she and I are like black and white.”
- “I mean it. Creative, sweet, loving your work. She's a bit more melodramatic at times, yeah, but it's one of her little traits that grows on you.”
- >Sighing, you look off, feeling a bit better about the day.
- >Saphy coughs, catching your attention.
- >She is rubbing her suit covered arm, looking away.
- >”Well, she was great enough to get you, so I guess that's some big compliment you just paid me, huh?”
- >Her smile soon fades, hands placed on her lap.
- "Saphy?"
- >She sighs, shaking her head.
- >"But it isn't true."
- >Concerned, you press on.
- "What do you mean? Why do you say that?"
- >Looking to you, you can see pain in her eyes.
- >"Guys don't like me..."
- >You scoff.
- "What? Of course they like you."
- >Your daughter shakes her head.
- >"They don't! All the guys I know have hooked up with someone. Timber's with Mumble, Pogo's with Alex, Icarus is with some girl from Cloudsdale. Every single guy I know won't even look at me twice."
- >You can see tears forming at the edge of her eyes.
- >Standing, you walk in front of her and lift her chin, forcing her to look you in the eyes.
- "Sapphire Belle, you are beautiful. Just because a few boys around her can't see that, doesn't mean you aren't."
- >She sniffles, lip trembling as her cheeks redden from embarrassment.
- >"R-Really?"
- "Really really."
- >She nods, smiling a bit.
- >”Thanks... Um, dad?”
- >You look to her, seeing her fiddle with her fingers a bit.
- >”I was wonderi-”
- >*CRASH!*
- >Jumping back, you feel your heart race.
- >Trying to calm down, you notice raindrops hitting your window.
- >They start off slow, no more than one every few seconds, but quickly grow to dozens every second.
- “What the- There's no scheduled rain today.”
- >Walking to the window, you see the weather ponies with their emergency gear on.
- >Each one has a giant black and yellow banner following them.
- “Saphy, what does a black and yellow sign mean for the weather?”
- >She lets off a confused hum before running towards the living room.
- >When she returns, you see she has brought out the town's protocol handbook.
- >”Let's see... emergency rain due to drought.”
- >It has been awfully dry lately.
- >*CRASH!*
- >Sighing, you notice the sky has quickly darkened, as if it were closer to midnight.
- “Damn... Looks like it's going to go all through the night.”
- >Rubbing the back of your head, you look to Saphy.
- ”You were going to say something?”
- >She looks to the book, then shakes her head.
- >”Nothing important, just ask a question about boys.”
- “You sure? I mean, we could-”
- >She raises her hand, smiling.
- >”It's nothing dad, really.”
- >Before you can press the issue, Saphy is heading out the kitchen.
- >”I have some personal work to do in my room, I'll be there the rest of the evening. Love you!”
- >Letting off a sigh, you wonder what's going through that teen's head.
- >Well... she isn't a teen so much as a young lady.
- >One who has only expressed interest in boys once...
- >A few weeks back.
- >And it was over lingerie.
- >Your daughter has never shown any interest in her friends...
- >Bah, you're probably reading too far into this.
- >She did say it was for a new line of clothes, not for herself.
- >Maybe she is just a late bloomer?
- >... Or maybe she is into women?
- >She dresses mainly in men's wear, designs clothes mostly for men, and she hangs out with boys while never having shown any romantic or sexual interest in them.
- >... If your daughter is a lesbian, you should let her know you support her lifestyle.
- >Not by yourself, mind you.
- >It would come off harsh if she only had the love and support of one parent.
- >You'll need to talk to Rarity when she gets back.
- >For now, you should probably just get ready to call it a night.
- >You won't be getting anything important done with this storm going on anyway.
- >*CRASH!*
- >... Right.
- >Sighing, you make your way up to your bedroom.
- >As you do, you are reminded of when Saphy was a little girl, how she would crawl into your bed during thunder storms.
- >She would always cling so hard to your arm.
- >Now she's designing clothes and possibly having trouble with her sexuality.
- >... Your little girl is growing up.
- >Pretty soon she'll be out of the house, on her own.
- >Some would say she should be out now, and they may be right, but dammit all if you won't miss her.
- >Opening your bedroom door, you see the king sized bed, untouched since this morning.
- >You undress and put on your sleepwear.
- >As you do, you are reminded that you will be sleeping alone tonight.
- >*CRASH!*
- >You let off a deep sigh, dragging yourself to bed.
- >It's going to be a long night.
- >As you rest, the world calm and silent, the sound of wood creaking shocks you out of your slumber
- “Wuh!?”
- >Your upper body shoots up a bit, eyes still heavy and demanding rest.
- >Gulping, you look through the darkness, wondering what made the noise.
- >You see a silhouette.
- >It is leaning against the door, almost holding it.
- >Sniffing, you manage to lightly croak out.
- “Rarity?”
- >”N-No.”
- >It's Saphy.
- “Nnnn... what're you doing up?”
- >She sighs.
- >”I... couldn't fall asleep. The thunder kept me up, c-can I sleep with you?”
- >Groggy and not wanting to stay up, you mumble out the next sentence.
- “You're a big girl... you need to sleep in your own room.”
- >She whimpers, gripping the door.
- >”Please? I-I'll be really quiet.”
- >You grumble, barely making coherent thoughts.
- "It's late..."
- >"Right, which is why we should both get to bed asap... and I can't sleep alone right now."
- >Sighing, you lay down and cuddle your pillow.
- “All right... just hurry up n' get in.”
- >Closing your eyes, the sound of your daughter's lively hoofsteps fills the air.
- >She sneaks herself under the blankets, bed squeaking as she does.
- >”Thanks dad...”
- “Welcome...”
- >Taking a slow inhale, you feel yourself start to doze off again.
- >This is temporary however, as soon you feel a hand on the side of your torso.
- >Opening your eyes, the worries you had earlier, before you suspected Saphy of possibly being a lesbian, return.
- “Saphy?”
- >She gulps.
- >”S-Sorry. I'm a cuddler... I can't sleep without cuddling.”
- >Her statement only feeds those worries.
- “You could go grab a pillow from your room.”
- >”Can't I just cuddle you instead?”
- >You want to say no, but you don't want to hurt her feelings.
- >As you think, you notice something.
- >The rain has stopped.
- >Thunder gone.
- >Why is Saphy here?
- >Sitting up, you move her arm away.
- “Saphy, it's not raining.”
- >Looking over to her, you can't make out more than shapes in the dark.
- >”I know... dad.”
- >A shiver runs down your spine.
- >Not the good kind.
- >Reaching for your bedside lamp, you turn it on and look back to your daughter.
- >The sight before you shocks you, to say the least.
- >Saphy is not wearing her pajamas that match your own.
- >Not in the slightest.
- >Her form lays bare, save for a pair of frilled panties and a thinly veiled purple nightgown with cotton carefully placed to conceal her human breasts and pony nethers.
- >She brings a hand to her lips, looking away.
- >”Do you... like it dad?”
- >Turning her head, her eyes go half lidded, lips slightly pouting as she looks to you.
- >Barely able to contemplate what is going on, you take large crawls away.
- “Saphy, what are you doing?!”
- >Your daughter crawls after you, nightgown shaking and exposing her breasts.
- >You have never seen your daughter's figure before, nor did you ever want to.
- >Her breasts are actually quite full, at least a c-cup.
- >Her hips are like her mothers, but longer, a bit thicker.
- >Shaking your head, you accidentally catch a glimpse of her rump.
- >Unlike her mother's, it looks to be more than a handful.
- >All of this knowledge of your daughter you wish you never had.
- >”Please, don't go!”
- >You reach the end of the bed, body pausing for some reason.
- >”I love you dad, I love you so much! More than a daughter should. Please, love me back...”
- >She reaches for her nightgown, lowering it from her body to expose herself fully to you.
- >You gulp, trying to speak, begging your body to let you object.
- >It isn't until your daughter has finished taking the thin piece of negligee off that your body stops it's unwanted hesitation.
- “SAPPHIRE BELLE, STOP!”
- >She gasps, hand holding the hems of her panties.
- >As you look away in shame, you hear a creak.
- >Looking to the source, you see your wife.
- >She is in tears, looking to you and your daughter with a smile.
- >”I... I came back early.”
- >Your heart sinks, worry that your wife, the love of your life, will misinterpret this
- “R-Rarity, please, this isn't what it-”
- >”We need to talk...”
- >She closes the door, hoofsteps indicating she is leaving your shared bedroom.
- >Your body once again fails you, falling forward, arms shaking as you push them to keep yourself from falling over completely.
- >You hear a sniffle.
- >”I-I'm sorry dad.”
- >The bed creaks, your daughter's hoofsteps running for the door.
- >You are left alone in the room.
- >It took you quite a few minutes to get yourself ready, but you are now heading downstairs
- >You decided to get dressed.
- >Talking about this in your pajamas felt... wrong.
- >As in, it would add to the wrong already present.
- >You look for you wife, seeing the light in the kitchen on.
- >With a heavy heart, you enter.
- >Rarity is sitting on a chair, crying over a cup of tea.
- >You cannot see her expression, but you don't need too to know she is hurting.
- >Walking up behind her, you hold her.
- “Nothing happened, I swear to you.”
- >She sniffles.
- >”If... something did, it's fine.”
- >You turn her to face you.
- “Rarity, nothing happened. We never did anything, I would never touch my daughter-OUR daughter!”
- >Her lip quivers a bit.
- >”Anonymous... it's fine if you did.”
- >You shake your head.
- “No, it's not, and why are you saying this?”
- >She sniffles a bit more, tears flowing more freely.
- >”It's only fair...”
- >She is not making any sense.
- “Only fair?”
- >She nods, whimpering.
- >”I've... been in her position before.”
- “... What?”
- >Rarity nods, tears slowing as she hiccups.
- >”Y-Yes... with my own father. Mother caught us, told me that I could do anything I wished...”
- >This is news to you.
- >Unwelcome, worrying news.
- “Rarity, I thought you were a vir-”
- >She interjects, placing a hoof on your chest.
- >”I was! When we met, before our marriage, I was. He and I, we never did anything serious... he only taught me to masturbate, that is all... b-but, I wished for so much more.”
- >Sighing, you move her hoof away and take a seat on the adjacent side of the table.
- “Well, what do we do now? I'm not going to touch Sapphire in that way.”
- >Rarity whimpers again, eyes pinned to the table.
- >”It is fine... if you want to.”
- >You take her hoof, gripping it as you lift her chin to look her dead in the eyes.
- “I do NOT! I love YOU! Dammit, just because your parents said it was fine does not mean I will. Look at you! This is obviously hurting you more than you're thinking. I heard it in your voice when you walked in and I can hear it now!”
- >Your wife cries more openly, nodding.
- “You don't want this...”
- >”I-I do not, but it is hypocritical of me to say no!”
- >Stroking her cheek, you softly look into her eyes.
- “You aren't. I am.”
- >Kissing her, she places her head on your chest.
- “You've done nothing but be a good mother to our daughter. You're even willing to give her me...”
- >Placing a hand on the back of her head, you rub.
- “You're far too giving, Rarity... I know you love Sapphire more than anything in the world, but there is a line.”
- >Rarity hics, nodding against you.
- “You've accepted she doesn't want to wear womens' clothes, helped her design mens', and met her half way on everything else... You're a wonderful mother and an amazing wife.”
- >Your words soothe the white Unicorn, causing her to take a deep breath.
- >”I do not want to give you to her...”
- >You pull her head away from your chest, pressing your lips against her own.
- “And you won't. I love you, my little pony.”
- >She smiles, weak, but it's a smile.
- >Kissing her once more, you stand.
- >”A-Anon, where are you going?”
- “To have a talk with our daughter. I don't want this to keep going past tonight. It'll just build up into something... bad.”
- >Your wife doesn't try to stop you, she just manages to croak out one thing.
- >”I-I love you.”
- >Stopping momentarily, you look to her.
- “And I love you.”
- >With that, you make your way to Sapphire's room.
- >Opening her door, you see she is under her covers, crying.
- >You walk up to her, sitting on her bed.
- >Sapphire tries to stop crying, sniffling, choking up.
- >Leaning forward, you sigh.
- “Why, Sapphire, why did you try this?”
- >She throws the covers off, hugging your back.
- >”I-I-I love you dad.”
- >You do not return the hug, just sitting there.
- “And I love you, but not in that way.”
- >She gulps, controlling herself.
- >”Why... not? Am I... ugly?”
- >You grind your teeth.
- “Sapphire Belle, you are a beautiful young woman.”
- >Before she can respond, you interject.
- “BUT just because I think that does not mean I want to have sex with you!”
- >She just holds you for a moment before letting go.
- >You stand and look to her.
- >Her arms are on her lap, expression drained, and she is looking away from you.
- >She is wearing a thicker negligee, one that is not see through.
- >”If you are going to tell me it's wrong because it is incest, I don't believe in that.”
- >You glare at her, forcing her to look at you.
- >Raising your hand so the back is facing her, she misinterprets this action and cowers.
- “Open your eyes.”
- >She does so, slowly.
- >Your hand still raised.
- “Do you see this?”
- >You point to your wedding band.
- “This ring, this vow to love and honor your mother, I have become so accustomed to having it on that I forget it exists most times! It is like skin to me.”
- >Her expression weakens, eyes tearing up.
- “Even though I may forget it is there, I NEVER forget the vows I made. The love we have. You expect for me to cheat on the love of my life?! Forget you are my daughter, I still wouldn't do it! I would NEVER hurt your mother like that!”
- >Sapphire's tears run in streaks down her face.
- >She pulls her knees to her chest, burying her face against them.
- >”I'm sorry.”
- >You sigh, touching the ring once before placing a hand on your daughter's back.
- “Now, answer me, why did you try to do this with me?”
- >She sniffles, shaking her head.
- >”I-I know how well you treat mom, how much you make her feel loved. I-I just thought that if anyone could make me feel that same way, accept me for me, it would be my own, amazing dad. I just wanted someone to love me... even with... this.”
- >She touches her legs
- >You are confused for a moment until you really look.
- >There are patches on her skin that are bare of fur, leaving fleshy bald spots.
- >This is nothing like when she was a child..
- >It takes you a few moments to realize, her legs are why she hated wearing women's clothes.
- >Clothing that showed off her legs, showed off her hidden shame.
- >Leaning in, you hold the girl.
- "Sapphire... you will find someone who loves you, who won't care about your legs."
- >She lets off a long, pained cry.
- >"You're wrong! Who would want to date a freak with such hideous legs?!"
- >You shush her, holding her close as you rub her back.
- “Sapphire, it's you who's wrong. You WILL find someone. Someone who isn't superficial, who will see your true beauty."
- >She sniffles, whimpering against you.
- "One day... but you are not going to take it from your mother.”
- >She nods, bellowing stopped.
- >”D-Dad, can you go now? I-I want to be alone.”
- >You think for a moment and shake your head.
- “No.”
- >Sapphire looks to you, confused and worried.
- “You're in a bad place right now. Just because you tried to have me, doesn't mean I don't love you anymore and it certainly doesn't mean I am going to let you hurt yourself.”
- >She sniffles once more, wiping her nose.
- >”Th-Thank you dad...”
- >Sitting on her bed, she lays her head on your lap.
- >It doesn't feel like a sexual advance, so you allow it.
- >”C-Can you sing for me? Please?”
- >There have only been a few times you have sang, and only for family.
- >You try to think of a good song.
- “You... are... my sunshine. My only sunshine. You make me haaappyyy, when skies are greeey.”
- >Sapphire relaxes against you, sniffling and whimpers stopped.
- “You'll never know dear, how much I love you.”
- >The door creaks a bit.
- >”Please don't take... my sunshine... away.”
- >Rarity steps in, walking in front of your daughter.
- >Sapphire just sniffles, looking to her mother.
- >Rarity runs a hoof down her face, stroking her cheek.
- >”I do not blame you sweetie... I know how you felt.”
- >Sapphire scowls a bit, shaking her head.
- >”You wanted to be with grandpa?”
- >Rarity doesn't respond immediately, but her response is an empathetic nod.
- >Your daughter is shocked by this.
- >”I-I'm so-”
- >Rarity silences her daughter, placing her hoof against the girl's lips.
- >”Don't be... how can I blame my daughter for wanting to be loved?”
- >For the first time ever, you see Sapphire lunge at her mother.
- >She wraps her arms around her, tears resuming.
- >”Momma!”
- >The mare just shushes her baby, stroking up and down her back.
- >”Shhh, shhh, it's okay... Momma's here.”
- >Rarity is smiling, holding her child close.
- >The two appear closer than ever before, if only because of this shared regret.
- >Still, for the first time, you believe Rarity has one of the moments she would fantasize about.
- >You don't know what will happen now that this is all in the open...
- >But you know that your family can only grow from this.
- >Sapphire finally truly sees Rarity as her mom and not just her mother.
- >Rarity can finally have a relationship with her daughter that is not just her giving...
- >And you will now stop coddling her.
- >You won't stop loving her, but it was your over zealous affection that played a factor in all of this.
- >You are not blaming all of this on yourself... but you do have some blame in this.
- >For now, you'll just have move through this, dealing with your daughter's confusion.
