  116. CPA: that is peter
  117. CRC: {yeah what is your [name]?}
  118. CPA: the blue one is peter
  119. CZN: Odie is right, it's Peter.
  120. CRC: {hey}
  121. CPA: we have a lot of new guests chiota
  122. CYP: i'm not realvly used to being around a lot of company, haha
  123. CPA: yeah i know it can be daunting
  124. CPA: if you want, you can come over here, i made you some snacks
  125. CRC: {oh hold on}
  126. CRC: {i gotta go take care of [something]}
  127. CPA: oh, alrighty
  128. CGG: hi
  129. CYP: that's really nice, odiw, but i kinda like being alone in my doghouse fur right now..
  130. CYP: oh, hi!
  131. CGG: hi say hi to others
  132. CPA: yeah, that's a good idea
  133. CPA: at least inteoduce yourself to the others chiota
  134. CPA: it's only fair
  135. CYP: uh okay uhm
  136. CYP: hey peter, myw name's chiota!
  137. CZN: A pleasure to meet you.
  138. CYP: how have you been?
  139. CZN: I can't complain.
  140. CZN: Just recently learned about the existence of alien life, so that's quite nice.
  141. CYP: ohj yeah, i'm probably that alien ilfe haha
  142. CZN: Indeed.
  143. CYP: uh so you're like odie sort of? human and stuff?
  144. CZN: That's right.
  145. CZN: Adolescent homo sapien from the planet Earth.
  146. CYP: those are a lot of hig words
  147. CYP: *big
  148. CZN: I'm sorry.
  149. CZN: In trollian, I'm about seven solar sweeps.
  150. CZN: My species is called human, and my planet is called Earth.
  151. CYP: cool! uhm, sorray i'm not really good at this
  152. CYP: i don't talk to ohhers a lto
  153. CZN: Perfectly alright.
  154. CZN: I'm just happy to have another troll to talk to.
  155. CYP: oh, uhm, thank you?? i'm surprised smoebody's happy tpo talk to me, though people say it a lot. i guess i'm just always surprised!
  156. CPA: im at fove and half amd chiota is fairly young
  157. CZN: Indeed. How many solar sweeps would that be, then?
  158. CYP: it's kind of hard fur mw to remember, actually. i donzt think i'd be as old as you ain earth years, though.
  159. CZN: Almost definitely not. Odie is already quite a bit younger, and if you're younger still, then it should be impossible.
  160. CYP: yehah haha. whet do oyu guys call your wriggling days?
  161. CZN: Childhood?
  162. CZN: I assume that wriggling days are the name for the grub stage in trolls, at least.
  163. CYP: oh, no no, wriggling days are uhm.. likhe..p. when you were... born?? ait's nard to explain...
  164. CZN: Age?
  165. CYP: no, no, the celebration of age!
  166. CYP: like it's once a year..
  167. CZN: Ah.
  168. CZN: Birthdays.
  169. CZN: Once annually, on the date of your birth.
  170. CYP: ,eahy sord of! that's what you call them/ kind of odd...
  171. CZN: No odder than wriggling days.
  172. CZN: I suppose grubs would wriggle quite a bit, so a celebration of one's first motion isn't too unfeasible.
  173. CYP: g guess you're right!
  174. CRC: {hey im back}
  175. CZN: Hello again.
  176. CZN: If I may ask, do trolls ever... stop wriggling?
  177. CRC: {had to take care of the weird [grove] of [flora] upstairs}
  178. CYP: oh, yes! grubs are like.. uhh... childhood, like you mentioned earlier.
  179. CYP: it's early stages. we grow up.
  180. CZN: I know that part.
  181. CZN: But in the later stages. Still wriggling, or something more solid in form?
  182. CYP: oh, well, we get more solid. wet get arms and paws and feet and our thinkpans get more developed.
  183. CZN: Arms, paws, and feet?
  184. CZN: Interesting. Quadripedal?
  185. CYP: no, no! our paws have five fingers. iz just like to call them paws. makes me feel happy.
  186. CZN: I see.
  187. CZN: Hands, then.
  188. CYP: eyah!
  189. CZN: And no more wriggling about by then?
  190. CYP: wnell i mean we can, but we usually don't. like we can emulate the movement.
  191. CRC: {so let's see if i got this right}
  192. CRC: {[troll] [infants] are known as [wrigglers]?}
  193. CYP: yes!
  194. CYP: teeny tiny, and they have itty bitty legs!
  195. CZN: Fascinating.
  196. CRC: {and as you grow, you get actual [limbs] and such}
  197. CRC: {and your [mind] matures as well}
  198. CYP: yes! to an extent at least. i mean we do'nt suddenly get grown-up minds when wetre like 2 sweeps old.
  199. CZN: They develop over time, then?
  200. CYP: yes! i mean our minds age probably a lot like yours.
  201. CZN: Interesting.
  202. CZN: Especially when the rest of the body metamorphosizes in stages.
  203. CRC: {interesting}
  204. CRC: {it's nice to know there's another [species] that starts out tiny, but gradually forms to what they look like today}
  205. CZN: Do most species not on your world?
  206. CRC: {actually they do!}
  207. CYP: hm... i don't know a lot about others... .... i don't know much about lusus-es bjt uh... yeah.
  208. CRC: {when two [OBs] mix some of their [essence] together, something called a [neuron omega] forms}
  209. CRC: {this is the [infant] form of us [obs]!}
  210. CZN: Rhys, I don't think we need a lesson in reproductive habits. With all due respect.
  211. FTC: ~~ Sorry to interject this species barrier we are crosing here, but I think it's time I hit the coon ~~
  212. CZN: Some topics should be left out of first contact, I believe.
  213. CRC: {ah yes}
  214. CZN: Good... morning?
  215. CRC: {of course v_v;;}
  216. FTC: ~~ I look forward to hearing more from everyone here ~~
  217. FTC: ~~ Later ~~
  218. CRC: {with all due [respect] i should have noticed [people's] personal [boundaries]}
  219. FTC ceased responding to memo.
  220. CZN: It's quite alright.
  221. CRC: {but yes it's [time] i also must go to sleep}
  222. CZN: I suppose different species would naturally have a different set of discomforts.
  223. CZN: Before you go, if I may ask.
  224. CRC: {honestly our [species] is really open about these [stuff]}
  225. CRC: {yes?\}
  226. CZN: Is your species nocturnal like trolls are?
  227. CRC: {no}
  228. CZN: I see.
  229. CZN: Diurnal like humans, then.
  230. CRC: {yes}
  231. CZN: Thank you. Good night.
  232. CRC: {sweet [dreams]!}
  233. CRC: {we'll be talking again in another [time]}
  234. CRC ceased responding to memo.
  235. CZN: And then there were four.
  236. CYP: aha yeah
  237. CZN: I confess, I'm still absolutely brimming with questions about trollkind. But it's difficult to know which ones to start with.
  238. CYP: you can ask anything, i think
  239. CZN: I don't suppose you happen to know the scientific names for the different troll species?
  240. CYP: ...no, naot really, sorry.
  241. CYP: i go know there's a sort of xilly system in place wfith blood color..
  242. CZN: Heh. That's perfectly alright.
  243. CYP: what color is human blood?
  244. CZN: Red. Odie described it as candy red, I believe, in comparison to trolls.
  245. CYP: oh
  246. CYP: uh
  247. CYP: cool.
  248. CYP: there's a big spectrum with troll blood here.
  249. CZN: Indeed. Eleven different species, all alive on the planet at once and sharing society. It's honestly incredible.
  250. CYP: some species aren't as nice as others. i've heard of very mean highbloods. i'm glad i haven't really met fny mean highbloods yst, though.
  251. CZN: Is that so?
  252. CYP: yes. haighbloods are more... violets, fuchsias, purples.
  253. CZN: Interesting. I'd been told of the mental capacity differences, but behavioural as well is interesting.
  254. CYP: lowbloods are burgundy, bronze, etc.
  255. CZN: I was told red and orange are the lowest two castes.
  256. CYP: yeah
  257. CZN: Are those the same as burgundy and bronze, then?
  258. CYP: sorta, yeah. and then there's candy red. they/r2 mutants.
  259. CZN: I see. Very unstable DNA your species has.
  260. CZN: Alright, well.
  261. CZN: My remaining questions will have to wait, it seems.
  262. CPA: hey i had to make sure that mayujia and darwin didnt get in trouble with flarp
  263. CZN: Tetya is actually calling me, so I'm afraid I do need to leave.
  264. CZN: Though it's good to see you as well, Odie.
  265. CZN: Goodbye for now, though. You as well, Chiota. Darwin.
  266. CPA: oh, that's alright, you go ahead
  267. CPA: hey chiota, know what makes a day even better?
