- When your course is complete, you will have 20-30 pages in total
- (introduction/overview, 3-5 subtopics, conclusion) and up to six
- evaluations. We will be using a trial version of Articulate Storyline
- 360. Storyline is built on PowerPoint, so you can start to visualize
- your course as interactive slides. Each slide will have written and/or
- multimedia content.
- </p>
- <p>
- The level of interactivity and the use of multimedia should depend on
- the audience and subject matter. If as part of a stress relief module
- you want to show simple relaxation exercises that can be done at your
- desk, it would make sense to record video of someone performing the
- exercises. If you are explaining how to use new software, screen
- capture video would make the most sense. If you're training employees
- on the new harassment policy, you could use text content on slides and
- supplement it with audio clips from management explaining terms. Think
- about the audience in terms of both accessibility and engagement while
- designing your course.<span

- <h3><span style="color: #000000;">Storyboarding</span></h3>
- <p>
- <span style="color: #000000;"
- >Storyboarding allows you to plan your course visually. Many
- instructional designers like to storyboard their eLearning courses
- before they begin building them. In this course, we will Storyboard
- our course and then complete a script. You don't need to know
- exactly how the final course will look while storyboarding - think
- of it instead as a visual plan. </span

- <span style="color: #000000;"

- course: the Course Plan and the Storyboard.</span
- >
- </p>
- <h3><span style="color: #000000;">Course Plan</span></h3>
- <p>
- <span style="color: #000000;"
- >Last week, you selected a topic and setting/workplace for your
- eLearning course. You also wrote the general course learning
- outcomes and selected the 3-5 subtopics that your course will cover.
- In the same Google Doc, add the following sections:</span
- >
- </p>
- <ul>
- <li>
- <span style="color: #000000;">A detailed audience analysis.</span>
- </li>
- <li>

- >For each subtopic, add learning outcomes (these are different
- than the course learning outcomes and are specific to just this
- subtopic) and a summary.</span
- >
- </li>
- </ul>
- <p>
- <span style="color: #000000;"
- >When you are done, your course plan should look something like
- this:
- <a
