  4.
  5. Liesanne
  6. The great Empire of the north. Liesanne is comprised of over a dozen distinct cultures with as many local languages. Once a mighty nation unified by religion, decades of internal conflict motivated by republicanism, nationalism, and self-determination have eroded the stability of the government. Now, its periphery is occupied by Alliance forces in the Great War. With Prussia and the Triumvirate, they form the Entente.
  7. The Prussian Empire
  8. The great Empire of the south. A few decades ago, the Prussian Empire was a confederation of dozens of Teutonic states, drawn tentatively together by economic unions and common language. Through a mix conquest, diplomacy, and marriage, over the course of a generation the Prussian city-state has collected the majority of the Teutonic culture into its bulk. Now, in the Great War, it occupies territory in each of its neighbors--Heredia, Hun-Shia, and even the capital of Xata. With Liesanne and the Triumvirate, they form the Entente.

  12. ----====++++ THE HELLENIC CULTURE ++++====----
  13.
  14. Both of the Hellenic nations remain neutral in the Great War, although they have Entente sympathies due to the number of Greeks in Liesanne.
  15. Akta
  16. Mokos

  20. ----====++++ THE GAULIC CULTURE ++++====----
  21.
  22. Duuta
  23. Neutral in the Great War.
  24. Verace
  25. The majority of Verace was subjugated by Xiang-Liang in the Gaulic Wars a generation before. The remainder, bound inland, is now a Xiangese puppet state and is subsequently part of the Alliance. Dr. Lucille Arceneaux, the legendary biologist who has supplied Xiang-Liang with its war-beasts and biowarfare weapons, hails from Verace.

  29. ----====++++ THE CENTRAL NATIONS ++++====----
  30.
  31. All central nations are part of the Alliance, although the participation of Anatolia, Dad, and Andorra are more perfunctory than the others.
  32. Medica
  33. The southern enemy of Liesanne. They occupy Liesannic Destenia and its surrounding territories.
  34. Yrta
  35. Anatolia
  36. Dada
  37. Tetra
  38. Two hundred years after the Age of Heroes, it was the furthest extent of the Lattic Empire. Now, it's the beating industrial heart of the central nations Alliance.
  39. Laminos
  40. Andorra
  41. THE ANGLISH CULTURE
  42. Cathia
  43. Heredia
  44. Possessing many Teutons, Heredia--once a powerful air force nation--succumbed to internal strife and occupation near the start of the Great War. It was the first territory the Prussians overran. However, the aerial navy was not captured and continues to wage a guerilla war along the Dead Sky Border.

  47.
  48. ----====++++ THE LATTIC CULTURE ++++====----
  49.
  50. During the Age of Heroes, the Lattic Empire was the predominant nation in the land, rivaled only by the Song dynasty across the mountains. Their influence is still felt across the world.
  51. Xata
  52. Red Lattice Triumvirate
  53. Once upon a time, Lattica was the capital of a vast empire. The empire has long since collapsed, but the imperial lineage was continued in the city of Lattica up until the last century, when it was toppled in favour of a republic. The republic has since undergone numerous revolutions and short-lived dictatorships and is currently governed by a Triumvirate composed of Caia Magnentius, a celestial, a princess, and the last living heir of the ancient Lattic dynasty; Sparax Aluredes, a celestial general known for his incredible physical prowess, and Citrio Syria Quintus, a dragonfolk Republican politician. Currently, the only people in any political positions are those with divine power. The administration is currently deporting, imprisoning, and executing witches and those who practice black magic.
  54. Archaea
  55. Muñatos
  56. Dominated by warrior dragonfolk, the military coup thrown in Muñatos that toppled the monarchy and began the dictatorship was the event that triggered the entire Great War as alliances and obligations cascaded. Somewhat ironically, Muñatos itself remains largely unscathed by the conflict; Colonel Fabián Velazquez seized power from the general who instigated the coup and stabilized the nation. However, Velazquez is no bookkeeper and the nation is running deep deficits, especially to the United States of Columbia across the ocean. It is now a predator. Black flag Muñatic ships raid cargo transports and coastal cities; their aerial navy strikes farther inland.

  58.
  59.
  60. ----====++++ THE XIANGESE CULTURE ++++====----
  61.
  62. Xiang-Liang
  63. The inheritor of the Song, Zhen, and Qiao Dynasties, a unified Xiangese front that now lusts for more land. Its motives for joining the Alliance are suspect. The team assembled by Dr. Lucille Arceneaux provides the backbone of their terrifying biowarfare capabilities.
  64. Hun-Shia
